BC Student Loan Interest Relief Program

The BC student loan interest relief program is a unique program designed to help you repay your student loan, without the loan adding a financial burden, and also helping you to retain your credit score, and to remain in good standing on your BC student loan payments. One of the nice things about this program is that it is true interest relief. While you are in the program, you will not have to pay any interest on the principle.

If you’ve finished school, and you are having trouble repaying your student loans, there are options for you. In some cases, you may be eligible for the loan forgiveness program, but in other cases, your only option may be the British Columbia Student Loan Interest Relief Program.

The first thing that you want to do is to use the online application form for the BC student loan lnterest relief program. This is easy to access, and you will get a faster response by using the BC online form. Additionally, if your income is low enough, you may not even have to make any payments while you are eligible for the BC student interest relief program. Interest relief can be approved for anywhere from six to thirty months. Furthermore, if you have only been out of school for less than five years, you may be eligible for extensions on this as well.

BC Student Loan Interest Relief Program Criteria

There is certain criterion that you must meet in order to be eligible for this program. First, you must live in Canada, but you could also be enrolled in an international internship program as well. You also must be in the process of repaying your BC student loans. Your income must fall within the approved guidelines, and you must not have already reached the maximum length of BC interest relief.

The British Columbia student loan relief could be extended after you reach the thirty month limit under certain conditions. You must have been out of school for less than five years and meet all other criteria for the BC interest relief. In either case, you cannot be more than five months behind on your BC student loan payments in order to qualify. If your student loan has already been moved to Revenue Services for collection, you will not be eligible for this program.

Applying is quite easy. Simply fill out sections one, two, and three of the BC student loan application form. You do not have to provide proof of your family income with the application form. While this is not required, you could be audited for the information, and you must comply with requests made for this audit. Failure to do so will result in ineligibility for the program now and in the future, your BC loan will become payable again immediately, and the BC interest that you were not required to pay while in the BC program will instantly be added back to what you owe.

After completing sections one, two, and three, make sure that your spouse or partner takes care of section four, providing his or her social insurance number and signature. You need to sign and date section five of the form. The form must be submitted within thirty days of those signatures, or you will have to start all over again.

It is also important that you understand that just applying does not put your BC student loan payments on hold. You must continue to make your BC payments while you are waiting for your application to be processed. Each time you are approved for a period of BC student interest relief, your loan will be extended by five years. If you need interest relief for Canada Student Loans, you must apply for such relief separately, through the National Student Loan Service Centre. Visit: BC Student Loan Interest Relief Program to apply for BC student aid forgiveness.

BC Student Loan Repayment Assistance Programs

If you’ve finished college and you find that you are having problems repaying your BC student loans, there are numerous British Columbia student loan repayment assistance programs that you can take advantage of to lift the financial burden. No matter how great your career is, everyone has financial difficulties from time to time, and you shouldn’t let your BC student loans fall into default status because of this.

The first BC repayment assistance program that you should check into is the Interest Relief Program. This program is open to people who owe student loans, but have low income. If you are accepted for this program, interest will not accrue during the period of time that you are enrolled in the program. You can get interest relief for a period of six to thirty months, and you can even apply for an extension to receive interest relief for up to 54 months if you qualify.

Next, you may need to look into Principal Deferment. When you are having financial difficulties, you can literally ask that your payments be deferred for a while – or put on hold. If you are approved for this, your BC student loan payments can literally be put off for six months at a time. During this time, however, you will still need to make interest payments. When that six month period ends, if your financial situation has not improved, you can apply for another deferral. Your BC repayment period, however, will not be extended past 19 and a half years past the time that you entered into the repayment phase after finishing or leaving school.

You can also seek an Extended Amortization. This allows you to lower your payments by stretching out the length of time that you will make payments. Your payment cannot be less than $25 monthly, and the number of months for your loan cannot exceed 234 under the conditions of this program.

The Loan Remission Program may be able to offer some relief, but this is only available to those who had student loans prior to August 1, 2000, because it only applies to those who have British Columbia Risk Loans and British Columbia Guaranteed Loans, which are no longer issued. This BC student loan repayment assistance program will help to reduce your student loan debt, making it easier to repay, without quite as much financial burden.

You may be eligible for the BC Loan Forgiveness Program. The Loan Forgiveness Program is only available to people who are working in certain professions, including nursing professions, midwifery, pharmacy, medical, speech language pathology, occupational therapy, audiology, physiotherapy, psychology, technology teachers, teachers for the visually impaired, and teachers for the deaf and hard of hearing. In this case, the debt is forgiven at a rate of one third for each year that you are working in an approved profession in an underserved community. Additionally, the British Columbia Government will pay the interest on your student loans while you are active in the BC Loan Forgiveness Program.

A separate BC Student Loan Forgiveness Program that is offered is the Pacific Leaders BC Loan Forgiveness Program. The purpose of this program is to attract people to work in public service in British Columbia. Under the terms of this program, your loan is forgiven at a rate of 1/3 for each year of employment in public service, and after three years of such employment, the BC loan is forgiven in full.

Visit: British Columbia Student Loan Repayment Assistance Programs to learn more about any of these or to apply for these programs. Because education is expensive, you should take advantage of as many of these BC student repayment assistance programs as you are eligible for to help defray the cost of your education, and to make repaying the loans easier on your college wallet.

BC student loan forgiveness and BC student loan reduction is the same thing but just a matter of how much of the BC Canada student loan will be reduced and forgiven.

BC Student Loan Forgiveness and Reduction

BC student loan forgiveness and BC student loan reduction is essentially the same thing but just a matter of how much of the BC Canada student loan will be reduced and forgiven. If you’ve graduated from college, or you’ve left school without graduating, your student loans will have to be paid back starting six months after you’ve left school. For many British Columbia Canada students, this can cause financial difficulties, and because of this, you need information regarding the BC Student Loan Forgiveness Program or the BC Student Loan Reduction Program, and you need to understand that these programs are not really intended for those who are simply having financial difficulties, but they should be taken advantage of if you are eligible for these two programs. If you are having trouble paying your BC student loans, and you do not fit the eligibility requirements for these programs, there may be other loan repayment assistance programs that can help you.

The BC student loan forgiveness program actually forgives your loan, or a portion of it. The BC student loan Reduction Program reduces the amount that you owe, or the BC student loan interest that you are charged for the loan, depending on your circumstances. In the end, it is not your choice regarding which program you participate in – it is based on the information provided for on the BC student loan application for assistance.

You must complete the first section of the BC application, and then send the application to the holder of your British Columbia Student Loan, so that the second portion can be completed. Once this is completed, you will need a letter that confirms your employment if you are applying based on your service in an underserved British Columbia Community, and this should b sent in with your application form. You must include an official transcript that confirms that you graduated from school, and this must be sealed. Section 4 of the application must be signed, and the entire package must be mailed to the Debt Management Unit of Student Aid BC.

There are many conditions associated with BC student loan forgiveness that you should be aware of. Not everyone is eligible. If you are a nurse, nurse practitioner, physician, midwife, or pharmacist, and your final year of school was on or after August 1, 2000, you are eligible. If you are an occupational therapist, a physiotherapist, a speech language pathologist, or an audiologist, you must have graduated on or after December 1, 2004. If you are a school psychologist, a teacher for deaf or hard of hearing students, or visually impaired students, you must have finished your final year by April 1, 2007. If you are a technology education teacher, you must have completed your final year of school on or after August 1, 2007.

Additionally, you cannot still be attending school, and you must be in good standing on your British Columbia student loans. You also must have graduated from an approved post secondary school. You must also continue your employment in the underserved community, because the BC student loan is forgiven at a rate of 33 1/3% for each year that you continue in that employment. Part of this program also entails the Province of British Columbia paying the interest on your student loan debt during this time. Each year, a letter must be submitted by your employer confirming your full year of employment, and you must fill out a new application each year.

The BC student loan reduction program is not a program that you actually apply for. Instead, it is an automatic program designed for those who are full time students who have completed the year of studies, and whose student loan debt is greater than the limit set each year by student aid BC. Note that this program is only intended for those who are still in school, and only available to those students who have no dependents.

A British Columbia Student Loan consolidation in Canada makes it easier to get them all paid when repaying your BC student loans.

BC Student Loan Consolidation

You’ve finished your education, started your career, and now it is time to repay your BC student loans. Did you realize that you had so many different student loans? A British Columbia Student Loan consolidation makes it easier to get them all paid when repaying your BC student loans.

First, you need to distinguish between Canadian Student Loans and BC Student Loans. Canadian Student Loans come from the Canadian Federal Government. BC Student Loans come from the Province of British Columbia. The two separate types of loans cannot be consolidated together, because they are administered through two separate organizations – the BCSL and the NSLSC – or the British Columbia Student Loan Service Bureau and the National Student Loan Service Centre.

Start by consolidating your BC loans. This starts with a consolidation agreement. You do not have to seek out this agreement, or ask for it. This is automatically sent to you about a month and a half after you enter the repayment phase for your BC student loans. You simply fill out the agreement, and all of your BC student loans are consolidated, allowing you to make just one payment each month for those loans.

This only relates to Direct Lend BC Student Loans, as Risk Sharing and Guaranteed Student Loans are no longer issued. If you have those types of loans, you will have to make other arrangements for consolidation. The same is true for any student loans that you’ve received from a private financial institution.

Make sure that you read the consolidation agreement before signing it to ensure that the information is correct. If you have questions, contact the BCSL or Student Aid BC for clarification. The agreement should show details concerning your outstanding BC student loan balance, the amount that you will have to pay each month, the date that the payment is due each month, how long you will be paying the loan, the interest that is being charged on your loan, and the bank account information if you have elected to have your loan debited directly.

Through the BC student loan consolidation agreement, you also have the option of increasing your monthly payment, and changing your interest rate from a floating rate at prime plus 2.5% to fixed at prime plus 5%. You can change the bank account where the payments will be withdrawn from, and even change the date that your loan payment is due, to make it more convenient for you. If you do not change this date, the payment will automatically be deducted on the last day of each month.

Consolidating your BC Student Loans simply makes sense, which is why it is virtually an automated process for all students with more than one BC student loan. For example, if you attended school for four years, and you received student loans for all four years, you have at least four BC student loans, which need to be consolidated. Obviously, consolidation does not reduce the amount you owe, but it does make repaying what you owe more manageable, in terms of making the payments. It certainly beats sending eight different payments each month – one for each of your BC student loans, and one for each of your Canadian student loans. This is why you also need to take the time to consolidate your Canadian student loans as well, allowing you to make two payments per month, as opposed to eight payments.

Repay BC Student Loans

Did you know that you can start repaying your BC student loans before they are actually due – while you are still in school? You can, and there is a great deal more that you need to know about repaying your British Columbia student loan as well.

Start by fully understanding the repayment terms of the loan. First, it is your responsibility to contact the lender, in this case the Province of British Columbia, that you have left school at least six months after you’ve done so. This applies whether you graduate, transfer, drop out, or stop taking a fulltime course load for any reason. Your payments must start six months after leaving school or moving to part time studies.

It is also important to realize that when you repay your student loans – Canada Student Loans and your BC Student Loans are not the same thing, and are paid back separately. This means that you must also contact the National Student Loan Service Centre for your Canada Student Loans.

Although Risk Sharing loans and guaranteed loans are no longer issued, it is possible that you may owe on this type of loan, if you obtained one before they were no longer issued. These loans must be repaid, and they must be paid to the bank or lending institution that originated the loan. Your direct lend loans are paid to the BC Student Loan Service Bureau.

For these types of loans, the first thing that you will may do is to sign a consolidation agreement, which will automatically be sent to you. This consolidates all of the outstanding BC Student Loans that you have. You must consolidate all of your Canada Student Loans separately.

You will need to set up automated payments, if possible. This way, payments can be made directly from your bank account, so you won’t have to worry about late payments. Additionally, payments can be made over the telephone and online. This is the smart way.

If it is at all possible, you need to start repaying your BC student loans while you are still in school, or immediately after leaving school instead of waiting out the six month grace period. Payments made during these times are applied directly to the principle owed, and not interest. In the long run, this makes your education less expensive, because you will pay less interest. You can contact Student Aid BC to get information regarding how you start early payments.

Do not ignore your British Columbia student loans! If you are having financial difficulties, there are many programs that can be accessed through BCSL Service Bureau so that your loan does not go into default. On direct lend BC student loans, the loan is in default if it is 150 days past due. However, missing just one payment will result in a negative report to the credit reporting agency, and missing two payments will make you ineligible to receive anymore BC student aid funding. Additionally, you will have to pay added interest charges, and you will have to deal with collection agencies. Your tax refunds could also be withheld, as well as GST rebates, and your wages could be garnished. The government can even take your property to satisfy the debt. Guaranteed loans are in default status at 180 days and risk sharing loans are in default status after missing two scheduled payments.

If for any reason you are having trouble paying your BC student loans, contact the BCSL bureau to take advantage of one of the repayment assistance programs as soon as possible to avoid default status.

Visit: British Columbia Student Loan for more information about repaying your BC student loans, and be sure to visit the Student Aid BC website at and make sure that you understand the terms of repayment, and get a jump on those payments early if it is at all possible.

Master British Columbia Student Loan Agreement

You don’t have to be in a master’s program to receive your Master British Columbia Student Loan Agreement. This is the agreement that is sent to all people – regardless of their program of study – who receive student loans in British Columbia. You need to know about negotiating your Master British Columbia Student Loan Agreement.

You must work out the details of your BC student loan before you will receive it, and before you can cash it. This agreement is sent only the first time that you receive aid through Student Aid BC. This agreement informs you of your responsibilities and rights under the agreement, and the terms and conditions of the agreement. You must sign and return this document before you will receive any funds.

This BC student aid agreement covers all of the student loans that you will receive in the future, as you continue with your education. This agreement will not state the amount that you are to receive. That information will be included on the Notification of Assessment that you will receive each time you get a new BC student loan. There is just one Master agreement.

Once you receive your BC master agreement, there are certain steps that you need to follow in order to receive and cash your loan. Start by confirming your enrollment. This is a step that your school must actually take. In most cases, this is automatically done by your school, but in some cases it doesn’t happen, so you need to double check that this has been done. Check with the administration department at your school, or the financial aid office.

The next step is to confirm your identity. This must be done through a Designated Canada Post Outlet, and it must be done in person. You will need your social insurance card, but if you do not have a copy of this, the latest copy of your Canada Revenue Agency Notice of Tax Assessment will be accepted. You will also need a photo identification that is government issued. For this requirement, you can use a passport or driver’s license. School identification usually will not suffice. If your funds will be direct deposited, you will also need a voided blank check that shows your bank account number.

There is a process at the Canada Post Outlet. The agent will confirm your identity, make sure that the agreement is valid, check your signature, and then it is their responsibility to send the agreement to the BC Student Loan Services Bureau for further processing. It is important to note that this process must be repeated for your Canada Student Loan. Therefore, if you are getting loans from BC and Canada, make sure that you take care of both agreements at the same time. After this is done, it doesn’t take long for the BC Canada student funds to be deposited into your bank account. This is usually done on the date that is shown on your assessment.

Sometimes, there are other requirements for receiving your BC student aid funds. If you are under the age of 19, you must have a guarantor for your loan. There are also special requirements for those who are studying outside of Canada, or outside of British Columbia, where showing up to prove your identity and process your master agreement is impossible. Visit Master British Columbia Student Loan Agreement to get more information about arranging your BC student aid.

You will also be able to see a sample Master Agreement at this site, and get information regarding what to do to receive your funds if you must have a guarantor, or if you are unable to appear in person to prove your identity and process the agreement.

Once you’ve made the decision to attend college you will be ready to fill out your BC student loan application if you are a citizen of British Columbia Canada.

BC Student Loan Application

Once you’ve made the decision to attend college, you will be ready to fill out your BC student loan application, if you are a citizen of, British Columbia Canada. There are essentially four steps that you must take when applying for BC student aid.

The first step is to select the school that you wish to attend, as well as the program. Not all schools are approved for funding from BC student loans. Make sure that you use the tools on the website to select your school and program before going any further. If your school is not on the list, and you do not plan to look at other schools, you will have to come up with alternative methods for obtaining the funding that you need.

During this step, you must also determine which study period you need funding for. Pay special attention to this, so that you fill out the right BC student loan application form, and submit it by the correct deadline. You must also determine whether you will be a fulltime or part time student.

The second step is to determine how much your education is going to cost, for the coming term. On the Student Aid BC Website, you will find tools to help you do this. The first tool is the financial need formula. The second tool is the budget worksheet. Finally, you will need to check your eligibility for the maximum funding limits.

The third step is fill out the appropriate student aid BC application form. The form is available online, and this is the best method for applying. However, you can also request a papers form by contacting Student Aid BC by mail, fax or telephone. Additionally, you can go to the financial aid office at the school that you plan to attend to obtain the forms.

When you complete these forms, take your time. Make sure that you are answering each question accurately, and that you understand what is being asked of you. If you do not understand, talk to a financial aid officer at your school for help, or contact Student Aid BC for help.

Pay special attention to deadlines. Your BC student loan application must be submitted at least six weeks before your course of study ends, but at least six weeks before it begins so that you can obtain the funds to pay what has to be paid. You do not have to be enrolled in order to apply, but you will have to prove that you have been accepted for enrollment before any funds are disbursed to you.

Make sure that you are filling out the right BC student loan application form! There are different forms for fulltime and part time students, and different BC forms for different study periods as well. This is one of the most common mistakes that are made when applying for BC student aid and it greatly delays the entire process. If you are not sure that you are filling out the right student loan application Britich Columbia student loan application form, contact Student Aid BC or your financial aid office for information.

The fourth step occurs after you have completed and submitted your application form. You will need to keep a check on the status of your application. This can be done via the website. It takes approximately six weeks for your application to be processed. For more information go to: BC Student Loan Application.

If your a British Columbia student filing bankrupty learn these things about BC student loans and bankruptcy before taking any further action.

BC Student Loans and Bankruptcy

If your financial situation has reached a point where declaring bankruptcy has become necessary, and you have outstanding BC student loans, you need to know as much as possible about BC student loans and bankruptcy before taking any further action.

First, if you have not finished your education, this could present a problem for you. Even if you are not including the BC student loans, which are not yet due, in your bankruptcy case, those British Columbia student loans will immediately become due, unless you are still in school, and in the same course of study. However, even if those loans do not become immediately due, you cannot receive more BC student loans for a period of eight to ten years – which could prevent you from finishing your education. If your BC student loans are a part of your bankruptcy case, they can be discharged, but not for a period of seven years, and then there is a three year waiting period after the discharge before you are eligible to apply again.

If you’ve already gone through the bankruptcy process, and the waiting period has passed so that you are eligible to apply for more BC student loans, you must go through a reinstatement process first. There are two separate processes for this purpose. The first is for your Canada Student Loans, and the second is for your British Columbia Student Loans.

You absolutely must obtain a clearance letter for your Canada Student Loans before you can be reinstated for your BC Student Loans. While the National Student Loans Service Centre will have its own requirements and process for being reinstated, this is the first step for reinstatement for BC student loans. You must then submit a reinstatement request to Student Aid BC, which will be reviewed by a committee.

This appeals committee will determine whether or not to reinstate you at all, and if they do opt to reinstate you, there are two options that they can choose from. The first is Conditional Reinstatement, and the second is Regular Reinstatement. Under Conditional Reinstatement is given to students who have filed bankruptcy while either still in school, or within the six month grace period after finishing school. The Regular Reinstatement is for those students who are no longer attending school.

The committee will take several different factors under consideration when deciding to reinstate you or not. They will want to know if there were exceptional circumstances that caused the bankruptcy, if you have tried to change your financial situation since the bankruptcy, that you have clear career and educational goals, and that you’ve shown previous academic success, or present academic success if you are still attending school.

This committee meets once each month, and once they have made a decision, it cannot be appealed – the decision is final. This is why it is incredibly important that you fill out the request form accurately, that you are clear in your communications, and that you supply all of the documentation and information that is requested from you in a timely manner. If you do not do these things, the committee will think that you are not very serious about finishing your education – or that it isn’t that important to you, and they could very easily deny your request, and at that point, any hope of reinstating your BC student loans is gone. You do have the option of applying again for reinstatement, but once you’ve been turned down, getting approval is quite difficult, and this would require additional documentation. For information about reinstatement for Canada Student Loans, visit the National Student Loans Service Centre.
What do students do if their British Columbia student loans in default was something beyond their control?

BC Student Loans Default

What do students do if their British Columbia student loans in default was something beyond their control? When we apply for any type of loan, especially British Columbia student loans, we seldom consider that getting the loan was the easy part – and paying it back is the difficult part. This is especially true for student loans because the loan won’t be paid back for years – literally. You don’t start repaying until six months after your graduation. This failure to think about repaying the loan often leads to your British Columbia student Loan going into Default.

Your BC student loan falls into default status after you have missed five payments, for all intents and purposes, but technically, you are in default once you have missed a payment. The BCSL just won’t take any action until you are at least five payments behind. At that point, they will start the collection process, and can garnish your wages, and collect any funds that are due to you through the Revenue Agency as well. Additionally, they can take funds out of your bank account, and possibly seize any assets that you may have of value.

Obviously, you do not want to let things go that far. Instead, you need to contact the BCSL to make arrangements to get your loan up to date. Many of the BC payment assistant programs that are available will not be available to you once you reach default status, so it is important that you act fast. You can seek Interest Relief, payment deferral, or even loan forgiveness, but you may not be eligible for all or any of those programs.

Once your British Columbia student loan has defaulted, it is due in full. This means that you cannot simply start making payments again – although they wouldn’t refuse those payments. But failure to pay the loan off in full will result in damaging your credit score severely. In order to prevent this from happening, and in order to still be eligible to obtain Canada student loans in the future – and possibly to enter into any of the BC repayment assistance programs – you will have to obtain reinstatement.

BC reinstatement will also stop harassing collection efforts for those student loans in BC that you defaulted on, which is always a huge relief. Additionally, you will start receiving your income tax refunds once again, and be able to make payments once again. Reinstatement is not automatic or guaranteed. You must apply for it, and you must be approved for it by a committee.

It’s also important to realize that if you defaulted on your Canadian student loans as well, you will have to receive clearance from the National Student Loan Service Centre before you will be considered for reinstatement for BC student loans. Make sure that you go through the NSLSC process first.

If your BC student loans were guaranteed student loans or direct lend loans, you must make six payments in a row, without being late, before you will be considered for reinstatement as well. You may have to pay additional fees as well, including added interest, any NSF fees that may exist, or other fees associated with the loan or the default of the loan. Naturally, the BCSL will not object to you paying off the old loans in full for reinstatement for new loans. If your loan was a risk sharing loan, you will need a letter from the financial institution that granted the loan originally, stating that you are no longer in default. The financial institution will have their own guidelines for moving the loan out of default status.

Go to British Columbia Student Loans in Default or more information regarding all of the above. You can also download the application form for reinstatement through this link, or you can obtain the forms from the financial aid office at your school.

If you are a student in British Columbia, Canada, you have three options when it comes to a student loan in BC.

Student loan in BC Requirements

If you are a student in British Columbia, Canada, you have three options when it comes to a student loan in BC. One of those types of student loans is the BC Canada student loans program. This program is administered through the Canadian Federal Government.

When you obtain this type of BC student loan in Canada the interest on the loan is paid by the federal government for as long as you remain in school as a full time student. Should you stop being a full time student, or leave school altogether, you become responsible for those interest payments, as well as the loan payments.

The BC Canada Student Loan will pay up to 60 percent of the funding that you need to pay for school, for a maximum payout of $210 each week that you are in school. To be considered a fulltime student, you must be enrolled as a student taking at least 60% of a full course load, unless you are disabled, in which case the requirement is 40%.

You do not have to start repaying the student loans in BC Canada until six months after you graduate or leave school. These student loans in BC Canada are only available to students who reside in certain territories or provinces of Canada, but most are covered. Residents of British Columbia are covered, and it is important to note that this is in addition to any funding that you might receive through your local government – so while this BC student loan program will cover 60% of your cost, local government aid could very well cover the other 40% to help you pay for your education.

Other than maintaining a fulltime student status, there are other eligibility requirements for Canada student loans in BC as well. Naturally, you must be a citizen of Canada, and a permanent resident of Canada. You must also prove that there is a financial need, and be enrolled in a program that lasts for at least twelve weeks, and results in a certificate, diploma, or degree. The post secondary school that you attend must be approved as well.

Additionally, if you are at least 22 years of age, and you are just applying for a Canada student loan in BC for the first time, you must also pass a credit check in order to be approved for a BC student loan in Canada. If you have bad credit, you will not get the loan. You must also still be within your lifetime limit for student loans in order to qualify. If you are a fulltime student, and you didn’t start receiving student loans until after August 1, 1995, you can receive financial assistance for a total of 340 weeks. If you are in a doctorate program, the lifetime limit is 400 weeks. If you are disabled, the limit is 520 weeks.

Since the inception of the Canada Student Loans Program in 1964, approximately $32 billion has been spent to educate Canadian citizens. Make sure that you are getting your share of the funds that are available to further your education, making your future a brighter place, and don’t forget to seek Canadian grants and grants that are available through your local government as well to help pay for your education. You can apply for your Canada student loan in BC at the same time that you apply for student loans that come directly from the government of British Columbia, instead of filling out separate application forms.

The other two sources of BC student aid is through the BCSL service bureau which is issued and administered through the government of British Columbia, and the third is also issued through the Canadian Government for part time students.
