We’re gearing up and getting excited for this month’s BeExposed! show! It’s going to be full of wonderful things including original films, a cooking demo, and live music from the following featured artists:

Javier C. Rivera has shot, edited and directed award-winning films, documentaries, television programs and more since 1996. He is also a writer, photographer, graphic designer, artist, and website designer. A recording artist as well, he has composed original music for films and TV. He has recorded two albums under the name Tino Ghost, including his latest entitled “Until Autumn.”, to be released in October of 2010. More information about Javier can be found at the following websites: www.javiercrivera.com and www.tinoghost.com.

Dana Boyle is a life and relationship coach, an attorney who recently opened her own law practice, and a self-proclaimed “foodie” who writes an online food blog entitled “Confessions Over the Sink”. For April’s Be Exposed! show, Dana will be showcasing her culinary skills and presenting a cooking demonstration for the audience. You can find Dana’s food blog at http://confessionsoverthesink.blogspot.com.

Jill Plaisted is the multi-faceted front woman of the Jill Plaisted Band who sings, plays the guitar, and writes songs. A popular performer around the Kenosha area and way beyond, her eclectic taste in music includes Arcade Fire, Neon Bible, Niko Case, Cole Porter, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Death Cab for Cutie and many more. Rumor has it that another popular musician and friend will be joining Jill for her performance at the show.

Head on down to Carolyn’s Coffee Connection beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 16th. It promises to be a great evening!

Brent Mitchell’s music is steeped in his own experiences, even when it is not autobiographical. He grew up a longhaired kid in a Texas town in the Vietnam War years. He lived in his poet father’s bachelor pad, and accompanied him most every night from a very young age to jazz clubs, honky tonk dance halls and blues joints. He’s played every kind of music venue from house concerts to dance halls. This year his song, Hand of God, as sung by Austin’s Bonnie Whitmore got a grammy listing. He has never recorded the song himself, but has recorded three CDs full of great songs; Reciting Whitman to the Cows, Fallen Angel Palace, and a new CD that is self titled. He has shared the stage with many well known Texas Americana artists such as Robert Earl Keen, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and Slaid Cleeves, as well as a number of mainstream acts.
