via www.cesarsway.com Cesar Millan lost his balanced pitbull on February 19. Daddy lived a long life of sixteen years with much love. Daddy helped so many dogs in their rehabilitation with Cesar. So sad to hear that Daddy is gone.

A celebration of dogs is a beautiful thing but the celebration doesn't feel complete when the only dogs that are celebrated are purebred dogs. With everything we know about puppy mills, overbreeding, genetic issues, etc. it is hard to be too excited with the Wesminster dog show.

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes for Shakespeare. He had a truly enjoyable day with lots of birthday treats and cuddles (as seen in this picture of Shakespeare's nap with his brother, Romeo). He finished the day with some tasty lamb and is completely pooped after a long day of fun.

Over the holidays, we decided a present we would give ourselves was to foster a dog over the holidays. This was a nation-wide program I found on Petfinder and it gives foster parents a break if they need to go home for the holidays.

Shakespeare is a rescue dog that was picked up wandering the streets of Chicago so we don't know his exact birthday but we do know we love him like crazy and he is the loveliest of love bugs so we decided Valentine's Day is Shakespeare's official birthday.
