All family members should be aware of this important information:

With the U.S. Census process beginning, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) advises people to be cooperative, but cautious, so as not to become a victim of fraud or identity theft. The first phase of the 2010 U.S. Census is under way as workers have begun verifying the addresses of households across the country.

Eventually, more than 140,000 U.S. Census workers will count every person in The United States and will gather information about every person living at each address including name, age, gender, race, and other relevant data.

The big question is – how do you tell the difference between a U.S. Census worker and a con artist? BBB offers the following advice:

**If a U.S. Census worker knocks on your door, they will have a badge, a handheld device, a Census Bureau canvas bag, and a Confidentiality Notice… Ask to see their Identification and their Badge before answering their questions. However, you should NEVER invite anyone you don’t know into your home.

**Census workers are currently only knocking on doors to verify address information. Do NOT give Your Social Security number, credit card or banking information to anyone, even if they claim they need it for the U.S. Census.

REMEMBER, NO MATTER WHAT THEY ASK, YOU ARE ONLY REQUIRED TO TELL THEM HOW MANY PEOPLE LIVE AT YOUR ADDRESS.

While the Census Bureau might ask for basic financial information, such as a salary
range, YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PROVIDE ANY ANSWERS REGARDING YOUR FINANCIAL SITUATION. The Census Bureau will not ask for Social Security, bank account, or credit card numbers, nor will employees solicit for donations. Anyone asking for this type of information is NOT with the Census Bureau.

THE CENSUS BUREAU HAS DECIDED NOT TO WORK WITH ACORN ON GATHERING THIS INFORMATION. NO Acorn worker should approach you saying he/she is with the Census Bureau.

At some point Census workers may contact you by telephone, mail, or in person at your home. However, the Census Bureau will not contact you by E-mail. Be aware of E-mail scams impersonating the Census Bureau. Never click on a link or open any attachments in an E-mail that are supposedly from the U.S. Census Bureau.

I was not surprised at all that he did not pivot toward the center, as all the analysts were predicting.  He just doesn’t “get” the American people, period.  No amount of bad ratings or democrats being shoved out of office will get that through his thick skull.

I was actually HAPPY that his speech was almost a carbon copy of last year’s.  That just means it’ll be easier to get conservatives into office in November.  And what was this “Washington this, Washington that” he kept saying?  He IS Washington now!

I was also amused to watch the interview he did where he stated “I would rather be a great one-term president than a so-so two term president”.  Isn’t that an oxymoron?  I mean, if you ARE a great one-term president, wouldn’t you get re-elected for a second term?  Yet another example of how he doesn’t “get it”.

How could he have been so completely contradictory.  He is against earmarks, but he signed a bill with the most earmarks in history.  He is for transparency, but cuts secret unconstitutional deals behind closed doors.  He is for new nuclear power plants and off shore drilling, but just try to start either one and see how fast it gets shot down.  He is for jobs, but taxes small businesses to the point where it’s either hire someone or pay your taxes.  I truly believe it’s because this guy is totally clueless to how the world works.  And people are starting to notice.  He has the lowest approval rating at this point in his presidency than any other president.  He has the largest partisan gap of any other president in history.  People who voted for him are now waking up and saying, “What the hell did I do?  This isn’t the change I wanted!”

So, nothing’s changed, but everything has.  The conservatives are gaining momentum.  Obamacare is all but dead.  So is Cap and Trade.  Apparently there is a God, and he’s a conservative!
