This weekend for sneaker releases there's a quite Friday and a very loud Saturday. Saturday of course belongs to Nike. With that being said, The Jordan Brand releases the Air Jordan 8 in a bright citrus/cool grey colorway ($160). Also, another edition of the Barkley Foamposite ($235) that pay homage to Sir Charles MVP season with the Suns. Kind of bad timing for these to drop but they're still dope never the less. Nike releases the KD V Elite "Playoffs Home" ($180) in a Tour Yellow/Photo Blue colorway and the Air Force 1 "Blazer Pack" which features a suede upper and tongue tag. Last but not least are the Supra and Lil Wayne collaboration Chimera, with an over-sized heel and midsole in a tonal black colorway.

PHIL JACKSON COMPARES MICHAEL & KOBE

In his latest book "Elven Rings: The Soul of Success," the Zen Master Phil Jackson finally compares NBA greats Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Jackson, who won six championship with Jordan and the Bulls and five with Kobe and the Lakers, breaks down both All-Stars on the court and off the court. Check out a few excerpts from the book below.

On Michael and Kobe social endeavors:

Michael was more charismatic and gregarious than Kobe. He loved hanging out with his teammates and security guards, playing cards, smoking cigars, and joking around," Jackson said [...] "Kobe is different. He was reserved as a teenager, in part because he was younger than the other players and hadn't developed strong social skills in college. When Kobe first joined the Lakers, he avoided fraternizing with his teammates. But his inclination to keep to himself shifted as he grew older. Increasingly, Kobe put more energy into getting to know the other players, especially when the team was on the road." [...] "Jordan was also more naturally inclined to let the game come to him and not overplay his hand, whereas Kobe tends to force the action, especially when the game isn't going his way. When his shot is off, Kobe will pound away relentlessly until his luck turns. Michael, on the other hand, would shift his attention to defense or passing or setting screens to help the team win the game.

On their interaction with teammates:

A lot of gifted people will lower their skills to close the gap between themselves and those around them, so others can feel more confident, involved, and relatively competitive. I've seen Kobe do that briefly when he has to, as a way to bring his teammates into the action and keep them engaged. It can work well depending on the other players, and as soon as Kobe sees his teammates stepping up, he'll revert to his natural game. It's a conscious decision to make the other guys feel as if they were one team, not one superstar surrounded by a second-rate supporting cast. Michael went the other way and came right out and said it: that's my supporting cast. His message was clear and unrelenting: Hey, I'm not bringing my game down so you can look better; you bring your game up so you can look better. He refused to put his own game in the backseat just to give other guys more action, unless you proved to him you could handle the responsibility.

On the face to face meeting with Michael and Kobe

Kobe was hell-bent on surpassing Jordan as the greatest player in the game. His obsession with Michael was striking," Jackson said. "When we played in Chicago that season, I orchestrated a meeting between the two stars, thinking that Michael might help shift Kobe's attitude toward selfless teamwork. After they shook hands, the first words out of Kobe's mouth were, 'You know I can kick your ass one on one.

Say what you won't about Kobe but you can't knock his drive and determination.

2014 MERCEDES-BENZ S550

It is here! Mercedes-Benz has official unveiled the all new S550 and all we can say is WOW! The epitome of the luxury sedan, the all new S550 sees some notable up grades to the exterior lights, grill, and overall length. Mercedes introduces the new Magic Body Control system in the new S550, that activates when and prepares the standard air suspension for rougher roads. Under the hood is a 4.7 V8 with 455 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque that allows this big sedan to travel from 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds. Inside is where all the fun is for the S550. 300 LEDs light up the interior with five dimming levels, four dimming zones, and seven changeable colors. Optional reclining rear seat are available with a 43.5 degrees angle. Up front you'll notice two 12.3-inch displays with Splitview to show the driver and passengers content. There's also wood trim, two circular air vents below the central dash screen, and a adjustable active perfuming system the enhance the scent inside the vehicle. Pricing starts a $93,000. Slated to hit the showroom later this year, images of the slightly redesigned 2014 BMW M5 has hit the web. Powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8 M5 with horsepower ranging for 560 to 575, small changes are noticeable on the headlights and new grille that resembles the fascia on the M6. Inside you'll notice thinner steering wheel and a new touch-pad integrated with the iDrive controller. Pricing and delivery date has not been released by BMW at this time. LAMBORGHINI EGOISTA CONCEPT w/ VIDEO

Ok, so far we've seen a special edition Aventador, and nice collection of 50th anniversary Moccasins by Car Shoe, and now, during Lamborghini's 50th birthday party, the Italian manufacturer unveiled one helluva concept car. The single occupant Egoista Concept, or as lambo calls it, a “four-wheeled UFO” is inspired by an Apache helicopter. It's powered by the same 5.2 liter V10 engine as the Gallardo, just with 592 horsepower and was manufacturer with a aluminum and Carbon Fiber body and frame. To keep the Egoista stable while driving at high speeds, integrated active flaps engage to provided balance between drag and downforce, while while a series of air intakes on the engine hood provides the cooling air flow to the V-10 engine. As for the interior,

“The cockpit represents a sort of survival cell, allowing the driver to isolate and protect themselves from external elements,” De Silva explained.“We kept an eye on the future when designing the Egoista, with the idea that its cockpit could have been taken from a jet aircraft and integrated into a road vehicle.”

A four-point seat belt keeps the driver secured in the driver seat, while a heads-up display, inspired by jet fighters, helps helps the driver navigate through traffic. To exit the vehicle, the driver has to detach the steering wheel, rest the dashboard, open the canopy, stand up and then sit down on a precise point of the bodywork, then swivel 180 degrees. And after all of that, you are ready to exit. Production details have yet be released by Lamborghini but in the mean time, enjoy the video and check out the full gallery after the jump.

We've already seen line stretching down the block and around the corner at the Kith shop in Brooklyn for good reason. The Ronnie Fieg x Asics GEL Lyte III "Miami" and "New York" ($145) are dropping today. Both kicks might look the same but they're fairly different. The "New York" colorway is designed with a perforated pigskin toe box and quarter panel with a soft nubuck quarter and heel counter while the "Miami" colorway is designed with microperf nubuck with a woven mesh toe box and collar. Saturday doesn't bring releases from the big 3, but the "Purple Platinum" Nike Kobe 8 System ($140). Also the Air Max 95 EM "Beaches of Rio" ($160) in a white/Blackend blue-beach colorway and the Air Jordan XX8 ($250) in a "Thunder Home" and "Thunder Camo" colorways.

The launch of the Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50 Anniversario Edition was just the start of Lambo's 50 Anniversary celebration. Now the Italian auto manufacturer has teamed up with celebrated Italian brand to release a collection of hand made moccasins as part of their 50th Anniversary. Available in black, orange, and blue, the moccasins are designed with “toro” calf leather with contrasting laces on the upper and rubber studs on the heel and sole for added grip. The moccasins also feautures a metal logo of the 50th anniversary on the heel as well. The Lamborghini/Car Shoe collaboration will be available at select Car Shoe retailers soon. A LOOK INSIDE KARL LAGERFIELD'S PARISIAN APARTMENT

Fashion designer Karl Lagerfield give us a look inside his Parisian apartment in a 1820s building on the Quai Voltaire. One would expect plush furniture, lavish art deco, and some high tech electronics, but Mr. Lagerfield keep his Parisian apartment simple for his taste. The living room feature with retractable glass walls that house Lagerfield's 40,000 book library while the kitchen, which is designed with Stainless Steel, features storage cylinders from Colette. An airy and cold feeling is what you will get after looking a some of the images from Lagerfield's apartment, but, for a guy that wears a cape, gloves, and dark sunglasses most of the time, it kind of fits his mood.

PORSCHE PANAMERA TURBO CARBON EDITION

Porsche Zentrum Dresden produces a very detailed video highlighting the ultra-lite Panamera Turbo Carbon Edition. Designed with a woven carbon fiber exterior, the Carbon Edition Panamera Turbo is quicker off the line thanks to the lite-weight materials and the 520 horsepower 4.8 V8 engine. With a top speed of 189 mph, at that speed you definitely notice the yellow accents through the exterior and matching yellow brake calibers, but you'll only notice black rally stripe with yellow trim running along the center of the vehicle while at a stand still.
