It was not so long ago when I saw my brother working on a desktop with 125Kbps internet with the CRT monitors. I was amazed of technology. Reading, music and dreaming was my favorite activities to pass time. So I used to imagine a lot in music and styles of writing. With this effect of me seeing my brother working, I started exploring the technology. Used to debate with him when he was driving his car. I used to fight with him but he used imbibe technology in me. I always liked my dreams and like dreaming. All I knew was that a computer (with a CRT monitor and tower with the UPS power supply) is movable. The concept of internet is new to me that time. One of my dreams was that laptops which were considered costlier than diamonds then should become cheaper and accessible. People should be able to use that internet or to my understanding work that they do in office when they are moving for example in a bus. The counter arguments that I used to get are that laptops will never become cheap and the internet works with a wire or a cable and the bus moves so it cannot be connected to internet. So I thought it was really not possible so I shifted my dream to Trains, where they are always connected to the tracks J it was a wild dream but the counter was that tracks cannot transfer data to get connected. I was back to my studies on literature and after my literature I eventually came back to my same brother joined my MBA got a laptop with the campus on Wi-Fi and had an internet dongle if I had to connect to internet when I am travelling. I recently realized that it was my dream 10 years back which was challenged and in which I lost and it died. L In my post-graduation I was travelling to Chennai and sitting in the bus I was connected to my friend on Skype. Wow what technology can do to our lives. And I have a dream now it may be wild but I wanted to document it like as it is. Medical sciences and technology should be more collaborate and with its evolution 3D can be used is preserving the DNA with the microscopic 3D pictures. we do not need to preserve the DNA as itself and on the other hand technology should be able to reproduce cells based on the 3D pictures. So after a certain time of the human life time the worn out cells should be replaced with the healthy cells produced from the pictures that was taken from the person’s younger times. if there is a counter argument that the energy resources will die and life will be at stake by that time, I have a way out for that “what if we use all the solar energy that the sun provides” I cannot gather the date on it but if somebody can do it I guess is will be a boon for all the mankind to survive. I dream of day when people will be more civilized and understand the broader meaning of life and use the technology and the resources. Believe me, I guess the concept of life expectancy which is estimated to go down will go up and this would be heaven. I love my dreams J

Let it happen let it not happen. I like it to happen if not now at least a thousand years from now.

It happened, its happening and should it still be the same?

For a small town guy travelling to Bangalore for the first time, your first attention goes to the Roads and the heavy concrete structures called flyovers which connects you from Point A to point B in a more cozy way. It reminded me of somebody saying to build bridges not walls. I was unaware of the fact if the author was talking about human bridges or physical bridges or flyovers. And a thought of uptown and down town caught my attention. And in Democracy there would be a good reason for the uptown to have a pool of crystal water. It takes me to a distance place near my home town where kids skip their school once a week to reserve their place for collecting a can of liquid which they call water.

We build bridges flyovers to make our transition smooth transition. Shouldn’t it be embarrassing that a thought of our brethren somewhere right now has been waiting for 3 days and 3 nights for drinking water which is far polluted and less than the water that we flush? What makes a difference? I fast every lent and I know the extremes of fast and feast. There are kids who wait for a feast once a week when mother comes back home after a week with food not know what she works to earn that food.

I’ve heard of an innovative concept which was appreciated and welcomed “packed food”. The idea is simple, I have 20 persons to serve the lunch, I order for 20 boxes filled with all the varieties in each box, the box once opened will have to be eaten, if not the remnants of the box goes to the trash. Trashing the box I discuss and curse the women who are indulged in flesh trade unaware of the fact that they do it to feed her kids back home.

One of my previous managers told me to unfold the tissue while using it. It was amazing that I could use a single tissue instead of three if I unfold it. It is not that thought of me being a saint in doing it, but it makes a difference. I have a sweet friend who taught me to trash the used paper coffee cup in a proper bin, the same friend also taught me how best we can utilize water. These seem to be little things. But they make a lot of impact on the ecological balance.

Some questions stand unanswered to me. Why did God allow the concept of uptown and the down town? Why is there a situation of abundance and sheer nothingness? Why do we not have balance?

God created man with freedom in abundance. I might be wrong in my perception but this freedom that was given to us is the reason for our destruction. I don’t want to be destroyed I don’t want my future generation to be destroyed. I can’t take when we don’t care of things that seems so simple but makes a lot of difference in a different perspective. Let us come out of our sealed box discussion on the out of box thinking and watch the world in its trueness.

True heaven is not some where after our death but among us within us in our small things that we daily.

A common platform, a balance, utilization of freedom, and most importantly realization of common small things we do daily matters a lot.

Let Freedom Ring

Freedom being raped assaulted and tortured. We ought to restore freedom to the man kind with no difference.. We can sacrifice anything but for freedom. I wish the day would not come where we ought to trade our freedom for survival.. What would we get inspired from? We would we need a managers or managers who call them leaders? We are in dearth need of a leader. Rather a Messiah. Let us all be saviors of our dear freedom. Let freedom be protected from all corners of the world. Let its reign be restored. Let our children have the beauty to choose. Let there be divine intervention that we stop defiling for vanity and seek the ultimate.

I wish Martin Luther King speaks again…..

“Let freedom ring from the snow capped Rockies of Colorado.

Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California.

But not only that. Let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia.

Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee.

In college we had a famous saying rather a dialogue “The only constant is change” Heraclitus

I am what I am adapting to the situations.

Organizational change verses Personal change.

We all know how organizations change, that might be with any aspect. Success of an organization depends on how it survives in the healthy competition, so also an individual needs to change according to the need of the day. We see the pebbles smooth and beautiful on the banks of the river. They look attractive for me. I have a story for that. There are two stones that God sent to a river at its birth place. A stone got into a valley and stayed there and gathered a lot of moss. The other one travelled a lot saw the autumns and springs, crushed passing the flow. At times hard and a few smooth. At the end it settled on a bank of the river shining like a diamond. This might be a story and for critics it might be a stone not diamond or one of the precious stone, but it carries a story of its own from which we can learn which is simple “Change accordingly”

Point one in personal transformation is large scale change take years, does not happen overnight.one needs to have a Vision I still am polishing my vision statement. A vision statement is a short time win, and it’s calamitous to declare the battle. A Battle with infinite wars, we might win a few and loose a few. It is important to win the battle. If the battle is a vision the wars are the short term goals, few of which might be predictable and countless unpredicted. Get ready be on the watch as we never know when you will have an attack; sleep with your armor and a hand on the sword.

It’s the next step the Battle that decides your Destiny.

“I have to share the truth, I am in the process of gathering bits and pieces, may be there is the time at the brim of this journey I will solve the puzzle and share the truth.

Change not just for the sake of change. Change when it is obvious. I recently embraced a change that was advocated to me and spent sleepless nights to adopt it and make it adaptable. I was under the feeling that this obvious would accelerate. With a lot of counsel realized that it is a wrong turn to dead end. As humans we are not born to be perfect but strive for it, which is a part of journey or the part of the battle. If you cannot learn from the failures and the standard counsel you would perish. The learning’s may be from self or from the individuals you see as inspiration. These are the few wars that will not decide the destiny of the battle.

I once had a dialogue with a person and he asked me to create a vision statement. He later on turned to be my director professionally. I had to rephrase my vision statement. I felt him to be my counselor. I will complete this piece once I get a go from him.

“I have a goal and I achieve It.” ring the bells, cut the crop, as I am successful. Let’s elaborate it; it’s not if we put the ball into the goal. It all matters how we programmed it how we set up the process and how followed the process. My friend worked hard in preparation of a project in college and I took it from him copied It made some minor changes and submitted it. At the time of awarding marks I scored first in the class. Both of us aimed to be first in the class. ~~WHO IS SUCCESSFUL~~? Obviously I am not successful. It happens in our everyday life. So success is not if we attained it or not, it’s how we attain it. It’s process that decides success. It’s not the end that decides the success it’s the means to end that decides success. Let’s take some examples from our religion; Lord Krishna is a driver to the Arjuna. He was the process he explained how to get through the war he was instrumental in success. His Knowledge transfer is just the process. Jesus Christ gave a way, a process to follow but not the success. We cannot say that we are successful unless we have the right process in achieving it. A well wisher advised me to understand the process when I am getting into my first job. One feels no satisfaction in doing a job if the set process is not exactly followed. Process goes same with individual and organization; because organization is a group of individuals coming together committed to programmatically achieve success. In the context of the organization the word programmatically should be in given an extra stress. I would say in an organization

Every person is created for a purpose. Human uniqueness has its beginning in the sperm. The eminence of the education decides the destiny, where the purpose is defined and the values being set. Education with experience is the catalysts of enlightenment. The sooner you have enlightenment, the sooner our purpose objectives and vision become concrete. The most dangerous and necessary evil for human development is thought. Ma
slow’s Hierarchy of needs can be challenged with premature enlightenment. Experience can come after education, or even experience can educate us. I am reminded of a railway porter who was inspiring his fellow porters. One of the indigestible facts of my motherland is ‘lack of dignity of labor’. It’s hard for us to learn from others experience. And unfeasible from somebody who is below our standard. We cannot be taught from a young boy who makes money for his school by distributing newspaper. We cannot be trained from a rag picker eventually becoming entrepreneurs and employ MBA's like me. My first management lesson was from the daughter of my milk man who could handle her studies by selling milk daily and achieved more marks than me in SSC examinations. How come when I have a study table and a computer could not do well in the examination and she not having electricity at her home securing more than me. I started opening my inward eye to the raw facts of world around me. We are born to manage and learn from others experience. I still wonder if I need permission from a B school to be a successful manager. Wordsworth said nature has cure and problem to every solution in itself. And my perception is there is lead in every pencil you either sharpen it with a blade or use a golden sharpener studded with diamonds, the lead once exposed will create great sketches.

Living Life In A Shadow.

I have a friend, Who is a James Bond. A jack of all trades. His life is a living example of perfectionism. a living encyclopedia. never have i seen a man like that. And from my limited knowledge he enjoys the fruits of his attitude.
Can a man sorry a PERSON (I don't wanna be a male chauvinist pig) for the sake of success be different from what he is, on his journey towards the success he set for himself. i recollect Mr Ganesh from Oracle once said "Explore ourselves try to improve our strengths rather than working on our weakness till we die" our life is based on the value system that is fed to us by our parents when we were kids, which was probably existing in our DNA from ages. I'd better be a child than a grown up. as children we have that curiosity towards ourselves we take only what we like and never hesitate to reject whats is not our interest. as we grow up we are influenced, and takes only that is good as stated by society we are compelled to have a role model follow them and be like them. I say it will have a scar on our own DNA, our own personality. We are compelled to do rather than have freedom with responsibility. God created the living beings the reason we are distinct from other living creatures is the power to think and act. He has given us freedom, unlimited freedom to do anything. for petty successes in life we compromise in our values, we act, we live the life in a shadow we have our inner conscious telling us what we are. but for the sake of improving our weaknesses we neglect our strengths. And this friend of me is alike peter keating an Ayn Rands character. His crave for success as i understand is to the extent of sacrificing his friendship and even his wife. if we look around, this kind of people are successful in short run, they see a unanticipated boom in the life. being appreciated by every one around them, which makes them neglect their DNA their values in short their strengths. some point in time they realize that they are not happy with their successes. which dose an unrepairable damage to their life's. I realized i don't wanna dilute my originality cos i am this and i will work towards my set success with what i am.I would never compromise on my values. i pray that my friend who is living in the shadow come out of his shadow and be what he is.

Waw i'd like to tell a mantra to individual development or personal development whatever we call it.I was following this from some time believe me it fun doing it.. Every day when you get, up just make it a point that you will find something new about yourself, might be the funniest or the silly thing but make it a point that you will find out something new which you probably never know or probably have forgotten that strength of yourself due to some reason. At the time you sleep observe your actions of the day not as yourself but as a third person. Just analyze your words deeds as a different person. How would you judge an another person if he/she performs those deeds... you'll see a different person daily. you will never be the person your are and you'll have a different and variety flavor in your life. caution dont just conclude, no question has got a perfect conclusion.. believe me it might be hard to understand but if you understand it would be fun practicing and fun knowing yourself. you will get more satisfaction in knowing yourself than any thing...
