The market town of Wadebridge, just a 20 minute drive from Port Isaac, hosts The Cornish Winter Fair during late November.

A celebration of all things agricultural and the wide array of food and drink produced in the region, the event includes exhibitions, competitions, food stalls and craft demonstrations.

The Wadebridge Prime Stock Show, which has been running for over 140 years, is a central part of the show, highlighting the fantastic quality of farming in this entrepreneurial region. There will be a vibrant air of competition and excitement amongst the competitors and prize-winners.

New Polzeath to Lundy Hole

After a five minute hike to New Polzeath you can begin a beautiful coastal walk to Lundy.
Not the normal steep steps up and down as often found on the North Coast, so its ideal for families with varying abilities. (3.5 km takes you to Rumps Point, if you wanted a destination with younger children.)
However, if you are looking for a 10km round trip then walking on to Lundy Point is highly recommended.

A two mile walk with views back to Port Isaac

We’d recommend this as an easy walk – and perfect for those seeking those sunset vistas!
The route takes you down the beautiful coastal pathway to the village of Port Isaac. You’ll then walk from the harbour and up past the pottery to enjoy fantastic views back to Port Isaac.
See if you can spot the  location buildings for the filming of ‘Doc Martin’ on the way!

You could do one way enjoy a few hours in Tintagel. Then head back on the bus if its too much to walk back!
