  This is Broken Bay, a small beach hidden on the south end of a peninsula near Patonga and Umina beaches. The beach is public but the land behind it is owned by the Department of Sport and Recreation, and used as a training camp with no public access. Therefore the only way onto the beach if you are not an athlete is via the water. Broken Bay Post   I got here via sea kayak from Brooklyn. Spent the afternoon on Wallis lake in Forster today, kayaking and fishing. The others rented a small boat and headed around the islands to the oyster farms, while I trolled from my kayak. We caught many fish, but nothing worth keeping. Half way through the day a sun shower hit, drenching us and nearby boat as per pic below…
