What a shame! It's been an interesting year of 2010 to 2011. Oh well, good news is you'll see more often now. I'm just a little woman trying to juggle my time between work and personal time. =P. I think time management has been a big progress. You know, it's like juggling between daily chatting with sis, spending with husband, and talking to parents, and watching Hong Kong chinese drama series, the local reality shows like Survival, Dancing with The Stars and such and such.. and now Two Broke Girls and also The Big Bang Theory.. and have not even mention that sometimes need to cook and do some housework! =P oh well, finally found some time to continue with this lovely hobby. Cheers! here's to a good start ....

Heart to Heart is the name of this earring. Because of it's shape.. hence, I name it "heart to heart". Also, the details of the bead looks as though it's vein..... as in some interesting nice vein... of a heart.. : ) The stone is brought from Malaysia. My sister had found it in a shop at Petaling Street. Petaling Street is at the Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Today had been a very productive day. I had spent time outdoor in the afternoon snapping pics.. so many of it.. pics of the new collection.. that I really don't know which one to include.

Oh well, that's all for this today....

Have a lovely day or night!

Memories

Today is a bright sunny day out there. It is our off day. Well, that is our life, since both of us work in the retail and restaurant business. It's been a great day so far. A lot has been accomplished. We had just finished watching Dancing With The Stars - the recorded version. I went to the bead shop again today, to buy some materials wanting to do a pearl necklace. Anyhow, ended up chatting with Beverly and Donna at On The Rocks at Brasselton Highway. Showed this to them, and they thought it was nice, and they thought of bracelet when I showed them that. I was telling them, i wanted to do bracelet, but everybody has different size. And thankfully, and fortunately, they told me, average size for bracelet 7.5". At first, I wanted to turn this piece into a necklace. Anyhow, I think it's better for a bracelet for now.. :)

Named "Memories" because, for some reason, right after I had finished doing this and snapping the pics, my mind reflected something about my grandmothers. When I was at the shop, we were talking about my mother and family members back in Malaysia. For some reason, I don't know how my mind had flew back to 20over years back when I was a kid with my grandmother, and how lucky some people that they are in their 20s that they still have grandmothers. My grandmothers had passed away long time ago.

This vintage bracelet is 7.5" of length. The beads - 4 different sizes freshwater pearls, 4 pieces of 8mm red jade and 2 pieces of black color 12mm Swarovski Crystal pearl beads. The chain is antique brass. And there's also some antique brass metal charms read "wish", "imagine" and "believe".

I hope "Memories" will bring you a lot of good unforgettable memories whoever that wear it.

Passionately me,
This is a very simple vintage freshwater pearl Earring. Named Moonlight Sonata, because of the background color and the little bit of the daylight.. make it feel romantic. The potato shape fresh water pearl feels like a moon .....

I've used another type of antique brass ear hook for this design.
Today's weather is kind of chilly than usual. Feel more like spring. Feel like at Genting Highlands or Cameron Highlands in Malaysia. Will be going to work in an hour. It totally felt like a lazy day. Felt like the leaves at the trees had grown so much overnight..=P

Anyhow, this is the first bracelet that I made. The chain is gunmetal material. The beads are Jasper stones. I bought the Jasper stones from the Intergalastic Bead Show at Gwinett Arena Center in the month of February. Had bought this to try how far I could go. :) Size: 6.5". It's meant to make for myself, but for some reason, it's still kind of big for me. Even my husband said that.

After making 2 bracelets. I had kind of given up on this kind of bracelets for now. It need a lot of details... :) Will think of something simpler and yet nice and elegant. Less yet elegant.. =P

Have been updating my blog almost every other day, that I haven't work on any new projects yet. Even my husband noticed that! Of course.. we stay under the same roof! lol

Have been trying soooo-sooooo hard to snap a good picture out of this! And still trying. :( I have spent more time snapping pictures than making my jewelry. This is the best shot so far. If I shoot it too near, it's blur. I am also trying to snap this pic with a plain background. Still trying to get the best out of it. Until then, I temporarily post this first. Can't wait to upload this to share with you guys.

Also, that is one of the reason It's taking me forever to upload pics of things that I had done to my online shop. Hence, still no online shop yet!!

Anyhow, this pair of earrings is meant to be called "Bright Days Ahead". It's made of transparent Swarovski Pearl. That's what the seller told me, unless it's otherwise. And I have sooo wanted to use those kind of antique brass bead cap and earring hook to create a vintage earring. So, hopefully this will get me going with some brighter days ahead on better pictures and have my online shop soon. :)

I really love this pair of earrings. It's classic. The only thing is, It's not totally straight.. I still don't understand why, probaly it's my skill. But it doesn't matter, coz it's a dangling earring, and you won't notice. So, it's not defective coz it's handmade!! LOL!!! Hey, that's the best thing and the special thing about handmade!! I mean, it's still pretty coz it's not machine made. hehehehehe. It's got its human touch..

For all of you out there, whatever that you are doing, whatever that you have to go through, just remember, in everybody's life, there's always ups and downs. So, enjoy the present moment, and think positive in all situations. Future is yet to come, and unpredictable, and the past is gone!

This is one of the first 2 bracelets that I had made. It's about 8inches long. This is a vintage bracelet. It could be adjusted in terms of the size of the bracelet. This are Jasper stones in 2 different shapes and some antique brass beads. And the chain is actually Gunmetal material. The beads are approximately 5 inches in length with approximately 55 to 60 Jasper stones beads and approximately 55 to 60 antique brass beads. Also, there's other charms to this bracelet - "Dream" and "Inspire". Hey, this bracelet took me like forever to complete.. Hence, I've been doing so many earrings since then. :) This is crazy - those were the days I made this one till past midnight.. when I first started making the jewelry.

I named it Dream a Dream because, I never thought I would have this artistic talent since knowing me - learnt piano but didn't complete the final grade; did some cross stitch but never complete it; tried crochet but didn't even bring me anywhere... LOL!! Erm, I've sewn ONE apron and ONE blouse before though , oh, and some quilted gloves and some quilted I don't know what you call that.. LOL!! And those stuffs I did about 20years back!! OMG I'm getting old!! I hate to say 20 years back!!! :(

Ever since started making jewelry, I have been traveling places... That is crazy. My aunt asked me, "What have I been doing all this while if before this I've never been traveling around?". Well, being me, I guess, I use all my free time to rest at home means DO NOTHING but just nap, watch tv, chat with my family in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia via internet or telephone or try some cooking and baking.. Once, i tried baking egg tart, before baking the egg tart, my husband said "Are you sure you want to do that? It's very HUGE responsibility......?? " and he ended with a cheeky smile..:) hehehehe.. You can imagine how good my baking skill is....with his comment.

Anyhow, now that, most of my time is occupied with making jewelry and now with photography and blogging and editing pics, and going to bead shows, makes me a whole lot busier. :)

So, like I said in my earlier postings, again, I thought I could make full use of my bake-ware for my photography..LOL!!

This pair of earrings I've named it In Love With You because, this is the first pair I've sold to my beloved co-worker and friend - Ms Keya Boyd! She has wore this to one of her most important religious occasion. My boss's wife love it too.. But this stingy guy is not buying it yet..:( He wants it for free!! Anyhow, I have made another pair of this, since it's a lovely pair of earring.

It would be pretty with anything - casual or formal! Trust me, you'll want to wear this everyday! It never goes wrong with anything in your wardrobe!

This is the Purple Ladybird. I'm always fond of clay and amazed with how a lot of the lovely clay earrings turn out. I saw this purple clay bead at the Down The Street Bead Show at Cobb Galleria Center. Somebody has mentioned to me before, "Can you make something purple?" ..

Well, I thought it was a good idea. Usually, we see a lot of purple amethyst or purple crystals or other stones. Not all people love stones. So, I thought, this is something cool to have. Bought only 2 of those beads to try how it turn out. Wanted to do it with my gunmetal material for the earring hook and gunmetal smaller beads for this. Unfortunately, the gunmetal materials stuffs sizes is too small for the bead hole.

As you could see from the picture, the hole of the bead is kind of huge, hence, the top part of the antique brass bead don't look too straight.. but it's totally fine to wear and still look simply nice and beautiful.. and this is handmade.. so, it's meant to be.. :)

This is just one very simple purple clay earring to have. It's a nice dangling earring.

You can match The Purple Ladybird perfectly with anything that in your wardrobe that is green, light purple, white, black, or any colors that you think could match with it.

I've been dying to do this earring wrap on a briolette crystal. Went to a show last Saturday at Cobb Galleria Center and got this crystal. Finally I did it!!!! I was trying the entire late afternoon to get the best shots. Let me know what I'm thinking....!!!!

The reason why I've named it Starry Starry Night because it comes in both colors - black and transparent. Ever since, I started making more and more earrings, my husband now does gives me opinion and let me know which is favorite. So, the Starry Starry Night is one of his favorite.
But I was thinking, I could use some of my bakeware for some photography shots!!! That I have a bit of talent. LOL!! Behind my mind.. I was telling myself.. Am I making earring or am I into photography??? hehehehe. Cause, I was too perfectionist.. I have snapped soooooo many versions of the pics that finally I've decided on this two nope.. it's all of them!! What a crazy day for me...This is just me, being fickle minded.. I think I need some photography tips..:)
It's quite heavy if you are not used to wearing big chunky earrings. You can do it, if you're used to wearing big chunky earrings.

I had a good laugh at myself, at how I've turned this pair of earrings into this chunky.. At one point, I wanted to take out some of the pearls, but, it didn't turn out as nice. So, it's best at how it looks. It's meant for people who love this type of earrings.

Chinese or maybe I should say, being a typical Asian, that was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and raised there and have stayed there almost all my life, until 2007 of which I've moved over to Atlanta, Georgia, I tend to have this in me. Trying to use the best out of the many freshwater pearls that I've bought. ;O)

Anyhow, If you like to wear pearl earrings, but don't want it to look too conservative. This is the earrings to go for. The antique brass material used to make this earring, create the "vintage" modern chic look.

Passionately me,
beadbearhugs

Double Happiness

Have yourself a cup of tea... :) This pair of earrings made of red jade and some antique brass findings. Red is an auspicious color for Chinese. I personally love Red, as I think, it's a color that naturally pop out, and everybody can wear red!

I found this Red Jade at On The Rocks bead shop, located at Brasselton Highway. It's so pretty, and so drawn to me when I first saw it. Need to get it to make some creations! And here's the first creation of the earring named - Double Happiness!!!

I've named it Double Happiness because Red is an auspicious color for Chinese, and I've sold this pair of earring to my 2nd customer - Ms Stephanie Weldon, before I even started blogging! Hence, I've made an additional pair... ;O) Thanks for your generous support! Only two (2) pairs in the whole wide world!

Just thought of sharing with you something that I found about red jade from the internet:-
Red is the color of physical energy, passion, and desire. It symbolizes action, confidence and courage. The color red brings passion and strength to your relationships, your life and your work.

Red is powerfully linked to our most primitive physical, financial, and emotional needs of survival and self preservation.
Too much RED and we tend to lose our temper quickly, become agitated, angry, overbearing, demanding, un-nerving, Oppressive or even violent.
The compliment of Red is Green, so if you need to tone down you raging passions, or have trouble getting a hold of your emotions, add green to your surroundings.
Too little RED and we become lethargic, cautious, whiny and manipulative. If your tired or feel exhausted, introduce more RED into your world.
Add RED color gemstones when you want to:

increase enthusiasm and interest

boost energy

confidence to go after your dreams

protection from fears and anxieties

Wear RED gemstones when you have a job that must get done, when you need a lot of energy, when you need or want to feel confident and in control on a job interview, and when you want to feel alive, vibrant, sexy and desirable.

Spiritual
Stability, security, grounding, courage, physical and emotional survival, energizing, mobilizing, warming
Essential Oils & Flowers: Musk, Vetiver, Basil, Patchouli, Oak Moss, and all root oils.

Physically
Adrenal glands, kidneys, spinal column, back, hips, legs and feet

Weather has been extremely gorgeous the past week. It's so nice to be able to wear dress, skirts, and shorts again out in the sun!! And of course with some wedges , sandals and high heels. I love Spring!

What is Spring without green leaves and colorful flowers... Although the leaves is kind of golden in color, anyhow, it's of antique brass. The leaves are too gorgeous not to buy. I have to buy those leaves to make a pair of earrings. To spice up Spring feel, I've added freshwater pearls - pink, gold, and off white, that intends to bring out the feeling of spring flowers surrounding the leaf.

This would go well with anything that is in your Spring wardrobe this season. From anything that is white, khaki, denim, yellow, coral... Versatile piece to accessorize your casual wear during the Spring and Summer. It doesn't matter if you have short hair or long hair, as it will be equally nice whether you wear your hair up or let it down.. :)

Passionately me,
beadbearhugs

Hugging You..

My first creation for myself named - "Hugging You".
