Wenger To Stay At Arsenal, How Long?

ESPN is reporting that Hill-Wood wants Wenger to Extend his time at Arsenal.

I think this is something Arsenal fans will be arguing about. Some want him to stay and some to go. I for one think that he is an amazing manager and to keep Arsenal in the top four is an achievement any manager would want. Just a quick look at these stats (taken from http://www.transferleague.co.uk/league-tables/2006-2011.html) will encourage any Arsenal fan to agree with me.

On a net basis, Arsenal have spent the least money on players since 2006, competing with the likes of Blackburn, Newcastle, Wigan and Norwich. The club spent the least money and yet the compete with teams like Chelsea, A team that spent close to the total Arsenal spent in 5 years on one Player. No doubt Wenger is great!

The only question I have is, why hasn't Wenger spent money on players? Is it Wenger holding back? Is the board not giving money to Wenger to buy players? I have a feeling its the board and Wenger is taking all the criticism for it. Which manager wouldn't want to spend money on players when they know it can help them win titles?

For me, Wenger must stay and bring Arsenal the glory they deserve.

Podolski to Arsenal?

Of all the rumors (and Arsenal fans have become used to reading rumors every season which do not materialize) thus far, one of them looks almost certain to be true with Wenger himself even commenting on it. It might only be a matter of time now that Podolski signs for Arsenal.

Just the thought of Podolski and Van Persie playing together is mouth watering.

Another center back and a world class midfielder, and Arsenal could be serious title contenders next season.

Top 3 Finish or Carling Cup And Potential FA Cup?

Who shoes would you rather be in right now, an Arsenal or Liverpool fan?

I know Arsenal haven't won any cups since 2005, even so, I would still rather be in the champions league next season than win a Carling Cup and potentially the FA Cup.Finishing out of the top four would be simply disgraceful. I can't imagine sitting on a Tuesday/Wednesday night watching every other team in the Champions League besides Arsenal.

In recent years we had to be content with no trophies, but at least we tasted Champions League football.

Hopefully Arsenal can spend some money and bring in a few world class players next season and we can challenge for the league and maybe not only play in the Champions League, but also win it :).
