New series? Starting this April? Well I certainly didn't see such a pleasant surprise coming.

I guess the Lost Canvas series didn't do that well, not to mention that the pace it was going it would take DECADES for the entire manga to be animated but whatever. At least they didn't decide to give a chance to the Next Dimension history which is frankly, quite horrid.

With Araki dead I wondered who could they hire to continue making Saint Seiya art, but that promo image certainly sealed my thoughts. In case you don't know, those character designs are the work of Yoshihiko Umakoshi... Casshern Sins anyone? A while ago he also drew a really cool series of Saint Seiya posters portraying the 5 Bronze Saints with their V3 Cloths and all the 12 Gold Saints and you gotta admit it, he is just as good as Araki himself.

But above all you know what else this means? Why yes, MOAR Myth Cloths of course!

Golden Display

Got myself a little item to allow me to finally dig out my Pegasus Genealogical Gold of its box stored in my wardrobe and properly display it in my collection.

You see, being a figure plated with real 18k gold I was against exposing this Pegasus like the rest of my figures due to the freaking DUST, reason why I bought a di: stage Extension Set 02 which is basically a mini display case intended for a single figure.

I was really surprised by the quality and price, as not only it was quite cheap, but the base is made of transparent plastic, while the walls and ceiling are made of very thin acrylic and you even get parts intended to expand the scenario with other di: stages. Definitely a good purchase to finally show off my most prized possession.

Oh yeah, I had to use gloves to strap the armor to this Myth Cloth, don't want to leave any fingerprints on such a special figure.

Well, Crushing difficulty was actually much easier than what I expected. There are only 2 rough spots, one in the ship in the ballroom and the other is in the ghost town right before entering Iram.

Will there be more Uncharted games?

Megaman Zero

In my opinion, the best saga of the entire Megaman series.

A few days ago I suddenly got the urge to go and play the entire Megaman Zero tale over again and it just helped me realize why I like it so much. I still remember back then when the first game was released and everyone was surprised to see that not only you were in control of Zero in a post-apocalyptic world, but none other than X himself was the bad guy.

One of the aspects besides the gameplay I truly enjoyed through the 4 games where the continuity nods and winks the saga to itself and even the X series, for example, Ciel solving the energy shortage crisis which was the trigger of the entire Neo Arcadia-Resistance conflict in MMZ3, fighting bosses from the very first game right near the end of the third one (being Phantom the most memorable one), the Baby Elves Elpizo stole and used during the events of MMZ2 once again appearing in the sequel and the Eurasia colony revelation we get in MMZ4.

The main characters were also very appealing, starting with Zero not giving a fuck about his amnesia and getting shit done to the 4 Guardians who were more than eager to test themselves against the legendary reploid, Harpuia being the most interesting one as his beliefs where pretty shaken through the trilogy.

Then the fourth game came and I must say the ending was really shocking, at least for me. It was really heartbreaking to see Ciel crying down because Zero saved the world but suffered the aftereffects of going through an orbital fall. That last image of his cracked helmet in the middle of the desert surrounded by debris was rubbing salt in the wound.

The 4 OST’s are also pretty good, including some pretty cool songs, a couple of vocal ones and even some drama tracks that added some more background to the setting of the games. Perhaps my only complain was the final battle in MMZ3. I know it was just a change in art direction, but I always thought Omega should have looked like Zero did in the Megaman X games. Fortunately, I came across this epic video which portrays that and much more. Zero getting up thanks to Ciel words and the final blow to finish off Omega are absolutely amazing moments.

It's a shame to see that Capcom has kinda neglected the franchise, to the point that some say it is already dead.

2011 was a year full of plenty of pleasant surprises along many changes, so once again let's do our best to get the most out of 2012!

By the way, I find very irritating how morons keep talking about "how the world will end in 2012". Geez, can't you be more optimistic? I'll be getting a good laugh when a bunch of idiots surely will go to the Mayan ruins and do something as stupid as commit a mass suicide rite. We've seen worse and well, at least that part of the country will be getting some income from those morons lol.

Can't they give more advertising to other things to look forward at this year? At least I'm eagerly expecting the London Olympic Games and of course, the UEFA Euro hosted by Poland and Ukraine.

Saint Seiya Senki Impressions

If you are a Saint Seiya fan, this game is just for you.

I managed to finish my first run of the story mode of this game, which takes you straight to the events of the Sanctuary saga where the Bronze Saints must pass through the 12 Temples to reach the summit and save Athena. Here are a few thoughts:

- Graphically, the game is incredibly. It's awesome how detailed the Cloths are, along its textures and how they manage to actually reflect the lightning. They look as if the Myth Cloth figures were alive!

- You get plenty of options of characters which you can play with. The 5 Bronze Saints, the 12 Gold Saints and even Marin and Shaina. What I must praise is that no character is a "clone" of another. Each and every one of them have their own set of moves which are vastly different, that's just great.

- The face to face battles against the major characters of the series are awesome, as you must face them in a duel and be able to best them in order to achieve victory. The inclusion of lines and dialogues straight from the series only makes the experience better.

- Being able to use all of the special attack of the characters with fancy cinemas and animations is just the icing on the cake. Ikki's Hoyoku Ten Sho and Aiolia's Lightning Plasma are some of the attacks that have jaw-dropping sequences.

- On the weak points of the game, half of this title consists in travelling between the temples, where a gazillion of mooks spawn and try to kill you. While it is neat to wipe the floor with this garbage using fancy moves and stuff, it quickly gets boring and even tedious, even more so when you upgrade your character stats and special moves to the point that a single attack simply fucks up the entire horde of soldiers. At least they made things a little bit more interesting by including surprising mini-bosses.

- The music is another letdown. While they use remixes of the most emblematic songs of Seiji Yokoyama, most of the BGM's are rather generic. At least this can be fixed, as if you have some Saint Seiya songs in your PS3, you can play them in the background while you are playing the game. The trick here is to try to select the most adequate song for each fight or segment.

- The game is really short and they tried to compensate it by adding Missions which only plus is letting you use any character you want.

Well, that pretty much sums it. Frankly, its a game made by and for Saint Seiya fans, period. I see no problem with them releasing a future game this time using characters from the Poseidon and Hades saga, maybe even Asgard? That would be awesome. By the way, the final battle of the story mode is epic, as you face a no longer evil possessed Gemini Saga (I guess it's a little twist they made in order for him to test Seiya's value as a true Saint and if he is worthy of protecting Athena) in the summit of the Sanctuary while "Pegasus Fantasy" plays in the background! What the fuck else do you want?! That's simply awesome.

Oh boy, look at what just arrived:

Too bad I won't be able to play it this weekend, as I'll be away spending Xmas with my family. I've already seen some videos of the gameplay and I can't say this is like the best game ever made, but at least for Saint Seiya fans it should be pretty good. What really pisses me off is the fact that there are plenty of extras already included in the game such as Unicorn Jabu, Sea Dragon Kanon, Wyvern Rhadamanthys and even Seiya wearing the Odin God Robe that instead of being able to be unlocked as you progress through the game, you must pay a fee of 500 yen each in order to do so. The whole DLC's of this generation is a real kick in the balls if you ask me...

The Dogs of War

Frederick Forsyth is one of my favorite authors and his third novel helped me to reinforce that fact.

The story revolves around a company of European mercenary soldiers hired by a British industrialist to depose the government of the fictional African country of Zangaro in order for the company to own the rights to exploit a huge platinum deposit located there.

Even though the mercenary protagonists are portrayed as anti-heroes due that they are professional killers, they at least have a relatively moral mercenary code which they abide to, something which the mastermind behind the coup d'etat certainly lacks and makes the ending so much sweeter, almost like poetic justice.

That aside, if you look at it carefully, this book practically tells step by step how to execute a coup d'etat, as a good chunk of it is reserved for the meticulous preparations for the attack, going from soldier recruitment, training, reconnaissance, and the logistics to buy weapons, preparing the transport and the payments. This is a rather short but quite enjoyable book, try to read it if you can, it's really good.

By the way, gotta love the song that the main character, Cat Shannon, is always humming:

Ventara's last hope is its Dark Knight!

In Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, Len is the last Kamen Rider from Ventara that opposes Xaviax as Wing Knight. At first, Len didn't want Kit to get involved with his problems or become Dragon Knight. But once Kit used the Dragon Advent Deck, he becomes his mentor and together they agree to defeat Xaviax and save Kit's world. Through the first half of the series, Len acts as the unofficial leader, although we later learn that he has inner doubts about having to carry such a heavy burden on his shoulders. Nevertheless, he believes that having Kit on his side they will be able to defeat the enemy and quickly forms a bond with the newly appointed Dragon Knight Rider, even considering Kit a more worthy wielder of the Advent Deck than Adam, the former Dragon Knight Kamen Rider who betrayed his people due to Xaviax trickery.

Black Wing is a giant mechanical vampire bat which is Wing Knight's Advent Beast. When Len activates the Survive Mode card, Black Wing evolves into Black Raider, a bat that can turn into a motorcycle. While it may not be as impressive as Dragredder since the bat is way smaller, it has a charm on its own given that most of its features consist into attaching to Wing Knight's back.

Wing Knight slots his cards on the crossguard of his rapier called the Black Visor. The cards we see him use in the series are:

- Attack Vent: Summons Black Wing to directly attack his opponents.

- Sword Vent: Conjures a lance-like sword.

- Trick Vent: Creates several copies of Wing Knight.

- Nasty Vent: Creates a loud noise emitted by Black Wing to disturb the enemy.

- Guard Vent: Uses his cape as a shield.

- Final Vent: Summons Black Wing for one very unique finishing move. Black Wing flies onto Wing Knight's back, its wings becoming a cape as it locks into place. Wing Knight then jumps into the air, coming down as his cape spins around him like a drill that allows him to pierce through his enemies. The blow is simply devastating.

- Survive: Allows Wing Knight to access Survive Mode and transform Black Wing to Black Raider. When activated, the background of the card shines with a spinning blue wind effect and Wing Knight’s armor gain a very gothic design.

- Link Vent: Unites and unleashes the power of all 13 Final Vents.

Unlike Dragon Knight which is a jack of all trades, Wing Knight is obviously a melee fighter suited for one-on-one combat. This is evident because of his swords: his default rapier which also allows him to slot Advent Cards, and his Sword Vent, a large lance-like sword. Wing Knight can also use his Trick Vent to create copies of himself to aid him in combat to overwhelm stronger opponents or even out a battle involving multiple enemies.

The figure itself shares the same body as the previously released Dragon Knight S.H.Figuarts, with the major differences being the color and the head. I really dig the medieval helmet visor, which goes as far as revealing a pair of menacing blue eyes underneath it. Very nice.

Quality wise, this figure is topnotch and comes packed with accessories, starting with the Black Visor sword, which can also open up to insert one of the 6 miniature cards you get.

The hilt of the sword is exquisitely detailed. The same goes for the bigass lance you get.

The real problem Wing Knight has is how Black Wing attaches to its back, as the way the connector is designed certainly leaves much to be desired, as the beast will constantly fall off at the minimal touch. That is really, really annoying to strike a pose, considering how cool all the capes/wings are. At its most basic form, you can simply attach Black Wing and give Wing Knight the chance to fly.

The massive wings of the bat can close around Wing Knight in order to form a shield. Dynames or Deathscythe Gundam anyone?

The really cool cape is one made of rubber that precisely simulates that: a cape. It is divided into 3 layers and is made of rubber. While the middle section is immobile, the other 2 have a decent range of motion thanks to the balljoint they come with. Problem is, this thing is really heavy, and with the shit connector at the back, the cape will mostly fall off very easily.

The final set of accessories you get is a cape divided in 4 sections to simulate Wing Knight's brutal Final Vent. That drill is seriously awesome.

Unlike Dragon Knight, the hands of Wing Knight don't look that shitty due to the the darker color. The overall complain is the connector at the back for Black Wing, but you must only have to apply enough force to make it fit properly and that should be enough for you to enjoy a really cool S.H.Figuarts, which is definitely on par with Dragon Knight as one of the best releases out there. I highly recommend it.

Myth Cloth Review 75: Ophiuchus Shaina

In the battlefield, gender does not matter to those who sworn to protect Athena! She is the Silver Saint whose claws are ready to strike!

Under that mask of a fearsome warrior hides a gentle beauty!

Shaina trained in the Sanctuary with other female trainees though her fiercely violent fighting style and nature earned her an infamous reputation. Shaina became a fearsome opponent due to the fact that she was perceived as the most powerful female Saint and just like Marin trained Seiya, Shaina was the teacher or Pegasus’ rival Cassios.

While it may seem strange that a woman can be regarded as a Saint given that the majority of these warriors are men, a few exceptions can be made to allow females to don a Cloth and fight like any other warrior: they must wear masks, and if a man sees her uncovered face, she would be given two choices: love him or kill him. The night Seiya left for Japan during the Sanctuary Saga, Shaina attacked him. The Pegasus Saint shattered her mask, only to find that Shaina was more beautiful than what he imagined. Not recognizing her, Seiya praised her beauty and spared her, which only fueled Shaina's confusion and hatred and making her one of Seiya's biggest enemies.

Shaina first met the Pegasus Saint when they were both very young. Few after Seiya's arrival, after training during one afternoon, Shaina saw a rabbit and took her mask off because the little animal was scared and she didn't want to terrorize it more. She heard the footsteps of the young Seiya, who was still a trainee and took a defensive stance, but reeled back since she was wounded from her previous training. Upon seeing the wound, Seiya ripped a piece of his tunic and tended to it. When she protested, he lectured her for not taking care of herself and insisted into helping her, which left Shaina flushing.

Shaina chose to kill Seiya, however, during their next encounters the Pegasus Saint proved to be too much for her, meaning she had to love him, and this destiny would continue to frustrate her throughout the series. Some time later during the same saga, after seeking a last duel with Seiya and being refused for the umpteenth time, Shaina's emotions overcame her and she hurled herself at the Lightning Plasma attack that Leo Aiolia unleashed in order to protect Seiya, telling him she actually loved him. Seeing Shaina injured for him gave him the courage to face Aiolia.

During the battle of the Sanctuary, Shaina was recovering from her injuries being tended by Cassios. When she woke up, Cassios told her about the situation, explaining her that the Bronze Saints were trying to break through the 12 Temples and that Seiya was currently engaging a brainwashed Leo Aiolia who would slaughter Pegasus. Upon hearing this, Shaina desperately tries to go and help Seiya, but Cassios knocks her out and goes in her place. Even though he was her disciple, Cassios was very much in love with Shaina and decided to go to the Leo Temple to aid Seiya as if Pegasus died, Shaina would be extremely sad. Cassios tries to attack the Gold Saint and sacrifices his life in order to break the spell under which Leo was, telling Seiya that he didn’t sacrifice for him, but rather for Shaina.

Shaina appears once again right after Seiya clears Pisces Aphrodite's poisonous roses that block the Hall of the Pope. Since Marin was unconscious she offers to take care of her and asks Seiya to hurry and save Athena.

During the Asgard saga, Shaina appears almost at the end, as she, along Marin know the secret behind the Mizar and Alcor twins and arrives just in time to shield Andromeda Shun from a sneak attack on part of Bud during his battle with Syd.

In the Poseidon arc she is sent by Libra Dohko to aid the Bronze Saints carrying the Libra Gold Cloth, giving it to Kiki upon her arrival and instructing him to go and deliver the Gold Clohth to Seiya and the rest in order to use its weapons and bring down the Mammoth Pillars. She then engages Mermaid Thetis in combat.

When she felt that all the Bronze Saints had been defeated, she tried to face Poseidon directly, but the power of the Emperor of the Seas was simply too much and is quickly defeated. Later Seiya arrives and so does the Sagittarius Gold Cloth, with which he fires a golden arrow, but Poseidon reflected it back, injuring him. Seiya tries again, but before the same occurred Shaina shields him from the arrow, encouraging him to fire again as many times as he needs. She then combines her Cosmo along the Bronze Saints in the arrow with which Seiya manages to actually hurt Poseidon, although that actually provokes his real awakening…

In the Hades saga, while guarding the graveyard of the Sanctuary, she is the first to realize that the fallen Gold Saints would resurrect as enemies, but before they can manage to destroy the graves, she along the minor Bronze Saints find them open from the inside, thus predicting that the Sanctuary would fall from inside.

By the time Seiya is battling against Thanatos, Shaina, along the other Saints left in the Sanctuary manage to protect Seika, Seiya’s sister from Thanatos attacks, giving the courage to Pegasus to stand up once again even if his efforts appear to be useless…

Shaina's Cloth is the Silver Cloth of Ophiuchus which represents the snake bearer. It is depicted as half a person with a cape, holding a cobra. It’s kinda funny to realize that she is the first Silver Saint to appear, although she wasn’t properly introduced until much later, thus giving Lizard Misty the debut of the Silver Saints in the series.

It is interesting to note that the constellation of Ophiuchus is in the path of the Sun during Earth's rotation, and rests between the constellations of Scorpius and Sagittarius. This has spawned some fanart and even extras in some Saint Seiya games where Ophiuchus Shaina appears as the secret hidden 13th Gold Saint.

Shaina’s only technique we get to see is her "Thunder Claw”, with which she raises her arms, feigning a Cobra, and releases her Cosmo to deliver a powerful electric shock. The enemy ends up being damaged both by the electricity and by her sharp claws.

Enough. On with the figure. Just like any other regular Myth Cloth, Shaina’s box opens up like a book to reveal its contents. Perhaps the most striking feature you are greeted with is the deep metallic purple color of the armor, it’s really good.

Out of the box, Shaina is quite peculiar, as she is rather tall, fact which is emphasized by the fact that she is wearing heels. These of course make balance a problem, but not as much as Saori where she can’t even stand up properly without the help of a base. Shaina can stand up perfectly on her own.

The body is also a first of its class, as it looks like a mixture between the regular G3 bodies and the new ones used by the EX releases. This is due to the presence of the articulation at Shaina’s waist which gives her much more flexibility than the average Myth Cloth, not to mention the system to exchange faces rather than heads. It also emphasizes a lot on Shaina’s errr… attributes and curves, thanks to which the figure captures both the essence and femininity of the character.

A very nice fact is that despite her Cloth being minimal, most of it is made of metal. Only the tiara, brooch at the back of the chestplate and belt/panties are plastic. The diecast used for the chestplate and double-layered shoulder armors is quite something. Another amusing fact is that instead of leg armors, you get a pair of warmers for the legs and to attach them, you must remove Shaina’s feet, just like any other Myth Cloth. Also, you have to attach a yellow waistcloth using a balljoint which can rotate freely, helping to create poses. Said fabric is held in place thanks to 2 little peg in the waist.

Now, there are plenty of things you can do with Shaina, as you get plenty of display options for her. First, you can display her around in her bare training clothes, with or without the little dull-colored shoulder armors. For this you must remove the frontal part of the chest, in other words, her breasts, as one piece of them comes with the small shoulder armors attached to them, while the other one is intended to be covered by the Cloth. You even get a second set of knee armors, which are molded in the same dull-colored purple to match the rest of the bare outfit.

Next, you can display Shaina just like she appears in the series. For this, you get to use the tiara with the serpent motif and leave the belt/panties out. For the manga version, you attach the later and use the second tiara you get, which look like a pair of playboy bunny ears to me lol.

The sculpting of the face and hair is exceptional (Shun looks SO much like her lol) and the system they used for the masked face is quite good. You see, you get 2 faces for this figure, one being Shaina’s naked face and the other one where she is using her mask. Think of it as the masked face you get for the Pope in the Gemini Myth Cloth. The last extra which completes this figure is a separate mask intended to be held by one of Shaina’s hands, as you can’t actually use it to cover the naked face.

Overall thoughts? Shaina scores a perfect 10 in my book as she has no faults whatsoever. We should be thankful they took such a long time to release her (rumors about her Myth Cloth date back to the Cancer Myth Cloth release), as she is simply put, one of the best Myth Cloths in the entire collection. If you collect these, Shaina is a no brainer, you will not regret buying her.

Now let’s hope Eagle Marin, Chameleon June and Mermaid Thetis don’t take that long to appear.

Shingo Araki Passes Away

Yesterday was a sad day for the Saint Seiya fans. Another great Japanese animation artist is gone. In my opinion, Shingo Araki was the main responsible of the success of Saint Seiya, as he was the character designer and animation director.

Two of the three main pillars of Saint Seiya remain: Masami Kurumada himself, author of the history and Seiji Yokoyama, the composer of the music that always characterized the series. May Araki rest in peace for bringing us so many memorable moments and scenes with the Saint Seiya series.

Uncharted 3 Impressions

It's definitely a great game, but in my opinion, the campaign falls short compared to its predecessor.

Why? The whole plot felt pretty lackluster and the entire hallucination resource they used on Drake was kinda forced and unnecessary, not to mention that the bad guys where pretty meh and this is actually the game with less "supernatural" elements present in the trilogy. Nevertheless, it's quite amusing to see Drake destroy a ship, a cargo plane and even an ancient lost city all by himself lol.

I definitely liked much more the pace, environments and plot from Uncharted 2, which remains my favorite game from the saga (come on, the train level is just THAT good). Of course U3 makes up for that with the multiplayer mode, which is full of gimmicks and customization options, although so far, I'm very annoyed with the competitive modes, as the game keeps showing a weird white circle/icon thing in the screen which I suspect is the indication of lag and my character simply stands there for entire minutes unable to do anything while I get slaughtered. Fuck this shit, it's impossible to play like this. The weird thing is that in the cooperative modes the game runs smoothly with no problems at all, so I suspect the problem may lay in my weakass Internet connection, as with a total of 10 players at the same time perhaps it is just too much for my connection. Then again, none of this happened with the multiplayer of U2.

Oh well, may as well beat it again in the Crushing difficulty and unlock all the other trophies I'm missing for the Platinum.

My 7th and last S.H.Figuarts arrived. ~~Wing~~ Knight completes the setup I longed for every since I purchased Zero some time ago.

I'm surprised by the fact that the box is even thicker than Ryuki's. Knight also comes packed with accessories and tons of cool stuff which make it a great figure.

I'll try to make the usual gallery soon.

Ophiuchus Shaina just arrived and I gotta say I was quite surprised given how unique she is.

Her body is a hybrid between the G3 the latest regular Myth Cloth use and the recent EX Gold Saints. It's also good to see that most of her armor, just as I expected, is made of metal given how little it actually is. Nevertheless, with this iteration Bandai managed to capture the femininity of the character quite well. I just hope we get to see Eagle Marin and Mermaid Tethis soon, because just by the few minutes I spent messing around with Shaina for the previous pic, I can already say she is one of the best Myth Cloths out there. Uncharted 3 Get

Who doesn't love the Uncharted series? Just bought the third entry of this fantastic game last weekend and it's just as great as I expected.

I have not had time to play it as much as I would like it though. So far I only reached chapter 8, but I gotta say I was blown away by the last sequence in chapter 7 (the castle in France) where you must escape from the fire while the entire structure is going down.

The visuals are simply awesome, even more so than what we saw last time in Uncharted 2. It's hard to believe they could polish the game even further than its predecessor. Nevertheless, the old formula of climbing/exploring/gunfights never gets old. I still have to finish the game to have a complete impression about it, but since the last 2 Uncharted games were masterpieces, I don't see why this would be the exception.

Mmm, things went a bit faster than I expected, Kayneth is already fucked (in case you wonder why, go read the novel and see what's so special about Kiritsugu's single shot gun).

The only comment I can make is that so far, the censorship regarding the scenes where Caster kills all those unfortunate children have been quite obvious. I wonder if the DVD/Blu Ray release will actually include all that gore...

Resident Evil 5 Thoughts

I got this game around 2-3 weeks ago and just recently I managed to finish it. Truth to be told I think that Resident Evil 4 is FAR better than this one.

Where do I start? Mmm, first of all, Chris feels like you are driving a freaking tank given how slow and sluggish his actions and overall movements fell.

Second, the 3x3 grid for the inventory systems is a complete backstep compared to the suitcase system we have in RE4, which was larger and provided you a much better organization for your stuff. In this game, you can't even pause the game to open your inventory, and when you do it, the whole thing practically occupies the whole screen, not allowing you to see the action in the game. Worse is that if you didn't assign a particular item to a quickslot in the pad, you must do it manually and that takes a good chunk of time, so much that in the middle of the action (which is most probably when you will have to do this, as you can't be prepared for everything forever), most probably the enemies will torn you apart (this is especially annoying in the last chapters).

Third, the history... uck. This is definitely the worst part of the game, as it brings closure to the whole saga in a rather anti-climatic end, making Wesker, which was one of the coolest villains out there, fall in the usual boring clichés you see everywhere. It doesn't help that Chris has the personality of a brick and just goes around yelling "JILL!" 90% of the time.

My overall impression is that Capcom simply tried to recycle the entire RE4 game and simply wasn't successful. Hell, the whole partner thing is obviously something they came up after Ashley, or how about the fight with El Gigante that came out of nowhere? The same can be said about the chainsaw and gatling gun enemies and the treasure collecting thing.

RE4 is a game that shines on its own for a lot of reasons, such as being a game that took a 180° turn in the Resident Evil franchise and managed to revive it by the way thanks to its innovative combat and inventory system, its plot and enemies that where a far cry of the usual mansion/laboratory/Tyrant thing every other RE game had, its bosses and even its cheesy dialogues ("Saddler you're small time").

With RE5 I didn't feel anything of the above. Everything seemed lackluster to me and quite honestly, I'm sure I can say its a rather forgettable game unlike its predecessor.

Seems to me at least Capcom realized all of this, reason why the next RE game will be a remake/alternate history/whatever of the events of RE2. Will it be good or bad? We can only wait and see.

The Platinum Trophy of Demon's Souls was harder to get.

Even if I already got everything out of the game that does not mean I will not keep playing it. Just waiting for the upcoming 1.04 patch to do so.

Berserker is looking really badass.

Ever since I read the novel I thought if Zero was ever animated Berserker would appear with some kind of blurry effect and indeed, ufotable just did that by recurring to CG's to animate this character, whose motions look incredibly fluid, gosh, the little skirmish he had with Archer was GLORIOUS.

The next event I'm looking forward to is for Kiritsugu owning Keyneth like a bitch, but I think that will not happen until the 8th episode.

Harpy Valentine Announced

Well, so much for that rumour about Scorpio Milo EX coming out next February. This is what we are getting that month.

Back a few months ago, a strange line appeared in the Internet stating that a upcoming Myth Cloth would be "chocolate flavored". The hint was instantly obvious to who it was referring to, as in Saint Seiya, Harpy Valentine possess a technique called Sweet Chocolate. Quite the wordplay, as the name of the Specter is very close to saying "Happy Valentine". Anyways, many people wondered if it was going to be a regular figure or part of the EX lineup, but I don't see why you could wonder that, as the EX so far have been exclusively reserved for the Gold Saints.

This Specter, the commander of Wyvern's forces in the manga is scheduled to be released in February. I already reserved it as it is one of my favourite Specters, being its main trait those claws he has instead of mere gauntlets and his wings. So far the only complain I can give is that the wings appear a little too big for my liking. I remember them being smaller and with a touch of more finesse in both the manga and the anime but whatever, be grateful we are getting new characters.

This brings me to ponder some thoughts. Since Bandai decided to release such a minor character, could this be a signal that they ARE NOT going to remake the entire collection in the EX format and limit themselves only to the Gold Saints? That could make sense but we never know.

Second, since Valentine is getting a figure, then can we expect more Specters getting the same treatment in the future? Not that there are many to begin with, at least regarding the "classic" series, as Lost Canvas featured plenty of kickass Specter designs, but from the top of my head I can mention Alraune Queen, Balron Lune, Basilisk Sylphid, Minotauros Gordon, Papillon Myu, Sphinx Pharaoh and Cyclops Gigant as characters that could get a figure.
The only other Specter I would get a Myth Cloth figure is without a doubt, Papillon Myu, which I bet would be one of the best figures of the collection thanks to ITS FABULOUS wings.
This also leaves us to ponder when will Eagle Marin and Athena with her God Cloth will finally appear, as they too are part of the "classic" collection and are very important characters who are guaranteed to get their own Myth Cloths.

Or maybe not, as even though the love triangle is actually resolved with Alto choosing Sheryl, he gets warped to fucking somewhere along the Vajra Queen, while Sheryl ends up in a coma due to Vajra AIDS.

Both movies are supposed to be a retelling of the Macross Frontier story, but personally, I think the series does a better job at it, as it gave us a happier ending. Then again, the title of the movie already implied a sad omen with its "wings of goodbye".
