Bright, bold fabrics continue to dominate in the world of design. A few feature fabrics, toned down with well placed neutrals, will keep a room fresh and alive.

The new palettes include Lush green Viridian, fashionable Fuchsia, bright Turquoise, and rich Cobalt. All four shades of yarn are dyed to the Robert Allen design team’s exact specifications, making them one-of-a-kind.

In keeping with a springtime theme and falling in line with current fashion and home trends, the vibrant green Viridian took center stage for the Maison & Objet launch. Robert Allen’s Vice President of Design, Christy Almond, commented:  “Viridian is a punchy green that’s perfectly in tune with the current bold and bright design aesthetic you find in cutting-edge interiors and on today’s runways. It is unexpected, yet easy to understand.”

Together with Robert Allen’s new Turquoise and Cobalt blue colors, the collection has an overall relaxed and fresh feel that’s set off by an intense Fuchsia that adds flashes of summertime color. The full library of four colors can easily be merged for a wide variety of looks ranging from lively and bold to classic and calming. The fabric line includes statement designs and unique coordinates that encourage pattern-on-pattern mixing in addition to practical canvas, velvet, and linen solids.

Beasley & Henley was invited to design the 3,000 sq foot exclusive VIP Lounge at the Pavilion for the show and for Yachts International, Yachts Magazine and Private Yacht Vacations. The interiors will reflect a range of design styles from traditional to modern to marine, with the common thread of exclusive comfort running throughout. In addition to entertaining the VIP guests, the Pavilion will be used for private galas and events over the 4 days period.

The Palm Beach International Boat Show includes hundreds of boats from superyachts over 150’ to smaller power boats, and personal watercraft.

The Beasley & Henley design team, lead by Design Principal Troy Beasley, designed the Regency II to feature a casual, yet sophisticated interior for the relaxed Naples lifestyle.

Cool blue walls are layered with elements of gray, tans, crème and navy, adding to the overall contrast of the interior finishes. Furnishings are comfortable and scaled to fit the open plan concept for this residence. Textures are mixed throughout, offering comfort as well an eclectic combination of both modern and traditional art work. Designer created architectural ceilings are proudly lit with decorative lighting that adds jewelry to the creative interiors, adding that element of warmth to each room. Warm wood flooring has been blended with stone floors, grounding the color tones of the residence. Pops of curry and lucent gold are introduced to add excitement to individual guest suites.

In the kitchen, stainless appliances are joined with cream and gray cabinets and topped off with large veined quartzite countertops, tying the colors together in the main living area of the home. This is Beasley & Henley’s second Marquesa model design at Tiburon.

During the 4-dayfurnishings installation of this 2,950 sq ft condo model, clients, community representations and potential buyers stopped in to view the emergence of the completed design and to visit with the designers.

The designers from Beasley & Henley created the new luxury one- and two-bedroom apartments with the latest amenities, including finishes of quartz and granite, floating countertops, stainless steel energy-saving kitchen appliances and custom cabinetry. A large percentage of the apartments will be one-bedrooms, which are in high demand.

The designer created cutting edge designs in the amenity spaces of Steel House include the leasing areas, clubroom, and the ‘Steel Lounge’ located on the top floor of the ‘House’ with spectacular skyline views.

The style of the interiors is markedly upscale-urban and sophisticated with modern furnishings, bold colors and eclectic artwork throughout. 5. Black/White. These staples are making a comeback. They were strong a few years ago, faded out and are cropping back up again. In 2013 you will see blacks and white as strong main colors on furniture, fabrics, cabinetry and as background colors. Look for them in both matte and lacquered, throwing even more versatility behind these sophisticated standbys.

4. Dark Blue and Navy. These colors started growing in popularity over the past year and they are coming on strong in 2013. Accent wall colors, fabrics, draperies will all see a refreshing push toward these darker blues.

3. Tan. Tans will start to push out the grey that has been ubiquitous for the past few years as the go-to neutral. We have nothing against grey, in fact we use it a lot, but we are excited to see tan as a main color.

2. Bright is still strong! Flaming Pink, Vibrant Yellow, Bright Blue, Lipstick Red are all vibrant and youthful colors that will continue to draw fans in both design and fashion for 2013.

1. Emerald Green - According to color authority, Pantone Color Institute, the big color for 2013 is Emerald Green. This color has made a strong showing in fashion and beauty, but not as much in the world of interiors. According to Pantone’s executive director “Symbolically, emerald brings a sense of clarity, renewal, and rejuvenation, which is so important in today’s complex world.” Sounds good. We will see what 2013 holds.

Emerald Green? The best use of this color we recall made an appearance in the steamy study scene of ‘Atonement’. Worn by Keira Knightly and supported by James McIvoy, that was the best Emerald Green has probably ever looked. We’ll see what 2013 holds

The 2950 sqft Marquesa Royale model, located in WCI Communities Tiburon development, received this prestigious award for its fresh approach to transitional design. Beasley & Henley created a warm transitional interiors, accented with an eclectic mix of modern abstract art, clean-lined furnishings, reproduction antiques, whimsical accent pieces and modern, oversized prints on throw pillows and draperies.

 ”It’s sophisticated and soothing, almost a salon look,” said Design Principal Troy Beasley.  

 The design team’s Marquesa Royale interiors feature a color palette of warm grays, tone-on-tone white and creamy neutrals, and pops of bright, sunny gold to appeal to American and European buyers.

According to Beasley, “We want the buyers at Tiburon to think, ‘This place is fabulous. I could easily spend time here.’ ”

The buyers took to it immediately, with the designs causing a lot of ‘buzz’ right from the start. During the three days when furnishings were being installed in this luxury condo, people were stopping by in droves.

“From the very first day we started to install, we had dozens of people walking in,” said Beasley & Henley designer Dan Killgore. “Even before all the furniture was in place, we had BHID fans looking around, saying hello and admiring what they saw!”

The Astbury model is a 3,050-square-foot residence base priced at $629,990. It will feature a walled garden entry, four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, formal   living and dining rooms, a study, island kitchen, family room and a three-car   garage. The Astbury is offered fully-furnished for $994,310.

The Astbury’s bright, airy interior was designed and will be executed by Troy Beasley of Beasley & Henley Interior Design.  His elegantly casual design style has a traditional flair and is focused on providing a relaxed, comfortable ambiance that is ideal for indoor/outdoor entertaining. A soft color palette will include warm grays and tans with pops of green and soft tangerine and golden tones. The walls will be a cream tone that will play against colorful artwork and fabrics and a grounding charcoal element.

Flooring in the living areas will be a stone-like porcelain tile that will be carried into a second master suite at the rear of the home. The study will have a medium toned walnut floor. Two additional guest bedrooms and the master bedroom will be finished with carpeting.

The Astbury features a relaxed living room and a family room, both of which are ideally suited for entertaining.

As is the case with virtually every area in the home, the Astbury’s gourmet island kitchen’s sight lines draw the eye outside. Charcoal gray glass backsplash tile is used against painted warm gray cabinetry and medium-toned granite countertops. There are three barstools at the island for entertaining.

Green and charcoal tones will be featured in the study. A built-in with a tongue-and-groove back positioned on the window wall will include a floating partner’s desk that will offer see-through view to the rear of the home and a view of the garden at the front of the home.

The master bedroom will have French doors opening to the covered lanai. The master bath will include a free-standing tub in front of a window, a step-down walk-in shower, porcelain tile flooring and side-by-side vanities with marble countertops and painted cabinetry.

The second master suite at the rear of the home will also have French doors leading to the lanai. The suite is connected to the pool bath and will feature a four-poster bed. A rug under the bed will soften the porcelain tile flooring.

(October 18, 2012) – Award-winning Beasley & Henley Interior Design has been selected by WCI Communities Inc., to create the interiors for two luxury penthouse models at The Colony Golf & Bay Club, WCI’s 809-acre master-planned community located within Pelican Landing in Bonita Springs, FL. The models represent the two floor plans offered at the community’s Terzetto neighborhood.

In the first model, Beasley & Henley will showcase a transitional, coastal-chic design conveyed in a palette of soft greys, warm beiges and creams accented with subtle touches of blue-grey and marigold, throughout the home’s 2,200 sqft. Textured driftwood and painted furniture will also play up the coastal theme, according to Beasley & Henley Principal Designer, Troy Beasley, as will the beautiful hand-scraped wood floors throughout its main living areas. The bathrooms, with Quartz countertops, stained wood cabinetry and soft grey-gold tile will project a “fresh and modern look,” according to Beasley.

“This floor plan is very livable” notes Beasley. “The centrally located kitchen with a large island, makes it the heart of the home and the open living-dining-kitchen space appeals to the modern buyer who wants to emphasize comfort and easy entertaining.”

For the second model, the Beasley & Henley team will create a contemporary-transitional design inspired by a big-city loft space, with colorful artwork, oversized graphic fabrics, accenting pillows and draperies and hues of soft tans, crisp whites and rich browns punctuated with elements of ocean blue and bright citron. Dark furniture pieces with modern, clean lines will heighten the theme. The model’s study will have a dark wood floor, a partners’ desk and citron walls. The kitchen will feature modern dark-wood cabinetry, a light white-and-grey granite countertop and oversized gold glass backsplash. Beasley & Henley will enhance the floor plan’s connection to its lanai by continuing light tan tile flooring to the home’s alfresco spaces.

The models are expected to be completed in February 2013. Pricing for these luxury homes start in the $400,000s.

What’s hot in home design changes year-to-year, but luckily the key to great home design is choosing what you love.

“Popular colors are fun, but ultimately it’s what you like – what you want to live with,” says Stephanie Henley, principal, Beasley & Henley Design.

Henley also points out that almost any color can work well in any room – it just depends on the vibe you’re going for. Think soft, cool tones for the rooms you use to relax and vibrant, fun colors for the places you gather with friends and family.
Pantone, the global authority on color and provider of professional color standards for the design industries, says the fall 2012 color palette is all about balance.

“By playing to consumers’ practical side with versatile neutrals, and boosting their confidence with bold, spirited hues, this skillfully balanced palette has something for everyone,” says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. If you’re a homeowner who loves bold, bright colors, try Pantone’s color of the year for 2012: Tangerine Tango. This exotic color is the perfect accent to an otherwise neutral room.

For a bold statement, paint it onto an accent wall. Don’t worry about it going out of style right away.

“People talk about tangerine like it’s new,” Henley says, “but orange in some form or another has been popular for about 10 years now.”

Not into reds and oranges but still want to make a statement? Try a bold green hue like Bright Chartreuse.

Pair it with a color in the kitchen to really make it pop, or with a bright pink (like Pink Flambé) to create a wild and crazy kid’s retreat.

Don’t fret if bright, bold colors aren’t your style. Golds, grays and browns are also in this season and pair nicely with neutrals you may already have in your palette. Honey Gold, Pantone’s take on the gilded classic, is reminiscent of a sunset in fall – the perfect color to add to your home this season.

“Yellow and grey is a popular combination,” Henley notes. “Gray and silver are still pretty strong.”

The combination of soft red and soft blue is also very popular this season, specifically in fabrics. It’s surprisingly soothing, Henley says, and is a great choice for any room in your house.

If paint seems like too big a commitment to trends you’re not sure you’ll love next year, you can still find ways to use these colors in your home.

“A good rule of thumb is to stick to neutrals and add pops of color,” says Henley. “If you have a blue sofa, then everything else is cream – if everything’s blue than nothing pops.”

Try adding pillows, window treatments and rugs in some of your favorite on-trend colors.  Keep costs down by checking out local discount retailers for accessories in hot fall colors at low prices. After all, you may not keep them forever so you shouldn’t spend a fortune.

Art is another great way to add color. Purchase (or create) a few pieces that incorporate your favorite colors and switch them out once in a while.
It will keep the room fresh, fun, and up to date with color trends.
