I don’t know if it’s ADD, but I find that it becomes an issue with some things. For instance – paying bills – that’s a big one that sucks balls if you aren’t consistent. It’s not like there isn’t enough to go around, it’s just that, I either forget about it, procrastinate, or roll up in to a little ball and cry when my electricity bill hits $800 mid-summer (true story, except for the crying part).

I guess I enjoy and almost welcome change in my life. Hell, if you know me well enough, you know that I haven’t had a steady relationship with a woman since Kate…something like over 2 years ago I think – I won’t consider the “non-relationship” earlier this year. I can’t even stick with keeping my iPhone case on for more than a month straight…I always have to take it off for a week or so to change it up.

Another thing that sucks about this is at work. I implemented our Agile process at work (adapted from my time I spent at Integrum), and did really well with it for about 4-6 weeks, then it slid a little bit, then we picked it back up, and now I think we’re in a state of “going through the motions”. So, I picked up a book – “Scrum in Action” – and I’m nearly done with it – I’ve got 2 chapters left…shocker, I know. That’s another thing – I have only finished 2 books cover to cover in my life – extra points if you know what they are.

Anywho…reading the book has really lit a fire under my ass, but how will the team accept the knowledge I just gained and want to bestow on them? Will they see my renewed interest as another 4-6 week sprint to another slide? How can I keep the momentum up? I know that the process works if you stick with it, and I’m excited to talk about it whenever I get a soapbox, but I don’t think I’ve stuck with it long enough to actually show it to the team. I’ve got things to prove and places to get to in my career…so any suggestions at this point are welcome.

Good lord there were a lot of awesome cars. I wish I would have had some more time to shoot the Bianco Avus Ferrari 458…my FAVORITE car right now (I’ve got a special place in my heart for white Ferrari’s). I had a little surprise as well – a Lamborghini Aventador showed up. Since I wrote my article back in June, I hadn’t seen one in person, so there was a little bit of excitement. I think I remember Chad telling me to calm down a few times. haha

First off…I killed Jason! You know…the mass murderer from Friday the 13th…yeah…I killed him…with a hatchet. Then all his remains flowed down a pipe…except his leg bone – I kept that. I figured that if I kept it, he couldn’t come back to life like he ALWAYS does – a leg bone is kinda important.

Then…I realize I’m pulling some serious Inception style dreaming – because I wake up, in my dream, from a dream. Then I was all worried about being arrested for killing Jason, but I thought, who wants to arrest the guy that killed a mass murderer…I should get a gold star or something! I even went back and checked the bag that had his leg bone in it – and it was gone, so I figured I was in the clear and it was just a dream.

A little later in to the dream, I’m at Circle K over by my parents house – I am pulling out, and I see this old black man struggling to move these 8 tires (old school Model-T tires). I asked if he’d like some help, pulled over, and started helping him move them. Then, I’m moving them in to what looks like the backyard of my parents house, but the dude’s family is there, and I realize that is Jason’s family, and I start freaking out because…duh…I just killed Jason.

While all this Jason stuff is going on, I keep thinking to myself that I really have to stop watching so many scary movies, because this CAN’T be real and I’m just freaking myself out.

So then it flips to my house – and apparently I’ve got a REALLY NICE house. Like – I’ve got multiple wings to my house, and it’s connected via sky bridge – like the one at Denver International Airport. Then I notice I’m having a party, and a bunch of people are out by my outdoor kitchen area thing – I head over. All of a sudden, Conrey shows up with Dunkin Donuts – little mini donuts like the ones you get in the 6-packs from Circle K, but aren’t Dunkin. They are carmel covered. I’ve never seen that, but apparently I really liked them, and ate a shit ton.

Then I saw some hotties…Amy & Bethany.

I woke up…late for work. I guess I woke up so I wouldn’t have my mind blown any further. hahaha All of this dreaming couldn’t of been possible without my awesome little nicotine patches. Oh…did I mention I quit smoking again. Day #5. I realized yesterday that I quit smoking last year on the same day (Mon after Thanksgiving)…I started again on Christmas Eve smoking those horrible Swisher Sweets.

There was a Jason mask and machete for $9.99 so I picked it up. It was pretty funny hiding in the darkness and jumping out to scare the absolute shit out of kids, however, there were some kids that were absolutely not phased at all – one kid even laughed! Little bastards…I’ll have something better planned out for next year!!

This show is like watching 1 train wreck after another…I really can’t get enough. I’ve devised a little “jersey shore workout game” that everyone can play while watching the show…and here’s how you do it…

You’re going to need the following: workout clothes, dumbbells (optional), and doorway pull up bar (optional). Actually, all of these things are optional, all you really need is to just get off your ass and get to working out.

Ok, so here is how the game goes (I literally just came up with this whole thing a minute ago):

Game Play (Prior to the show)

Come up with about 3-5 different workouts that you can do that will hit different muscle groups. Some easy choices are pushups, pullups, dips, curls, lunges, and squats. Every player must agree on the selection of exercises, and the order in which they will be executed.

Game Play (During the show)

When watching the show, there will be plenty of commercial breaks. When the show goes to commercial break, select 2 exercises from the list of exercises and perform those exercise to muscle failure. Make sure you keep track of the amount of reps you do, as that will be how winning the game is determined.

Scoring

After the show is over, add up how many reps you did for each of the pre-determined exercises. Points are based on how many players are playing the game with you during the episode. Let’s say that you and 3 of your friends are watching an episode together. The total amount of points that can be achieved per exercise is 4 points. If you came in first place (by having the most reps), you would get 4 points, if you came in second place, you’d get 3 points, and so on. Determine points for each person for each exercise, then add up all the points for each person. The person with the most points wins.

Winning/Prize

What do you win? Well…in Jersey Shore fashion, each player that didn’t end up in first place (the winner doesn’t have to buy any drinks), has to buy “x” rounds of drinks, where “x” is the place that you came in. If you came in 2nd place, you’d have to take everyone out and buy 2 rounds of drinks, if you came in 4th, you’d have to buy 4 rounds of drinks, and so on.

And that’s about it. You’ll get your swell on doing the exercises, and then you get to go out and get drunk. MVP would be proud!!!

It could be worse…I could be stuffing donuts and baconator’s down my throat, but I’m not, I’m actually getting good, clean food. Oh…and my water intake is finally back up, and I’m not pissing every 30 minutes. You know how irritating it is to wake up every 30 minutes in the middle of the night to pee?

Today was the first day that I ate all 6 meals – on time. It’s hard getting in to a groove of eating that many meals when you’re used to the standard 3 – or in my case, the 2 maple donuts in the morning plus overeating at lunch, then it’s usually a toss up for dinner, but Chipotle was always on the menu.

Damn…I miss Chipotle…haven’t had it in like a week. :-(

So anyway, protein shake for breakfast, turkey and fruit for mid-morning snack, some chicken + rice & corn for lunch, protein shake for mid-afternoon snack, top round + green beans for dinner, and I just slugged down another protein shake – well, I’m actually slugging it down right now.

Ty tells me I need to consistently eat to keep my metabolism churning, and I can feel it doing it’s job, because the food doesn’t feel like it’s hanging out in my stomach for too long, so obviously my body is processing it quickly.

I also took a day off from the gym today – I’ve been on for 4 day straight and figured my body could use a day off. Back at it tomorrow morning!

Update: Clearly I can’t count…it’s day #3!

There’s just something about eating chicken that I’ve cooked – it makes me want to vomit!

I’ve never cooked chicken that has made me sick before, but for some reason, I’m super paranoid about it. When I eat it, I have that thought running through my head, and the strange thing is – it’s only chicken that I’ve made myself. I had some chicken at Miller’s house this weekend that was pretty damn good!

Just sent Ty a message about a substitute, and apparently I can’t go with pork – gotta stick with turkey or fish. I think Courtney made those tacos on Friday from tilapia…I might have to give that a try, and I’ll just fall back on halibut if I have to.

I think the $19.95 I spent for ElegantThemes.com was one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time. I’ve used a handful of their themes already, and I’ve got a few more that I’ve got my eye on, but you know how it is…never enough time to finish all the endless projects I’ve got in my head.
