So I finally get around to posting the photos from the 2018 Diner en Blanc Montreal celebration. It took place at Square Victoria at the edge of Montreal’s Old Port and probably one of the coolest spots close to Montreal’s downtown. I was honored to have been chosen to be one of the official photographers this year, and had the pleasure to photograph all the wonderful people who took part of this fabulous event. I broke my post into three portions, with the first being the photos I took in front of Notre-Dame Basilica where a good portion of this years participants gathered in order to learn where the secret location for the 2018 DEB was going to be.  Enjoy and stay tuned for my next post detailing what happened next.

If you know Manny Sgourakis, of Luluthia Design, like many of his close friends and clients, you’ll know how crazy fun his parties are, and I’d like to tell you that last thursday’s party did not disappoint. Afterall, this was #TheBigFiveOhh, and nothing short of amazing was going to do.

The event took place at one of my favorite venues, Plaza Volare located at the Crowne Plaza in Ville Saint Laurent. M.C.’d by Pascal Spencieri of goldstardj.com, who brought down the house that night or I should say the party tent.
The birthday cake and dessert was provided in style by the sweet people from Patesserie Montebello. Other vendors such as galadesign.ca,  celebrationsgroup.com, servellostyle.com helped make this black and white themed party a big success. Ameer Alba was also there to capture this party on video.

As some of you know, I love going out on the street with my camera hunting for the perfect shot. While I was in Boston last weekend, I took advantage of all the walking we did exploring this beautiful city and came up with some wonderful souvenirs of the city and it’s inhabitants. The city itself is stunning with many historic sights and buildings. Many times I got the feeling that I was walking in Montreal, which is something I never felt anywhere else in the US where I visited before. Of course, the streets are much bigger and the buildings a lot taller. No wonder Boston is considered the most European looking city in the USA. My only regret is that our vacation there was short and we didn’t have enough time to experience more of what the city has to offer. But we did manage to try the food there and we were not disappointed.

I had the honor to be the wedding photographer of Sonia and Domenico who got married last Saturday at Le Challenger Reception Halls.

This was Beautifoto’s Last wedding of the 2016 wedding season, with the next wedding season starting as early as February 2017. Looking forward to it as it will be the wedding of a local Montreal celebrity. More on that to come soon…

Summer is about to wrap up here in Montreal, but before that happens Montreallers take to the streets and celebrate the 8th edition of the annual Dîner en Blanc picnic. It took place in the heart of downtown Montreal on McGill college street which was closed especially for this event. Thousands of people all dressed in white gathered for a picnic where they set up their tables and chairs which were also all white. As usual, it was a beautiful sight to see people from all cultures come together joyfully and elegantly celebrating Montreal’s public spaces.

Here are a few of the photos I took there:

This lovely Italian couple tied the knot at Église de la Visitation de la Bienheureuse-Vierge-Marie, which is one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in Montreal. The couple celebrated their wedding at Le Challenger reception hall located in the heart of Ville Saint Laurent, about 20 minutes from Downtown Montreal. Not too far from the hall is Parc Marcel Laurin which, in my opinion is one of Montreal’s most picturesque locations for wedding photography. Together Alexandra and Roberto are a couple straight out of a magical fairy-tale and their photos belong on the cover of a romance novel. The beautiful floral artistry was created by Manny Sgourakis of Luluthia Floral Design.
