When Mireille approached me about doing a maternity photo shoot with me, I was very excited because it had been 5 years since I last shot this kind of a session. I suggested that we do it when she entered her 3rd trimester (last month of pregnancy) which happened to be last weekend.

I had always wanted to shoot this type of session in a forest setting and Mireille was excited about that as well. I knew I wanted it to have an artistic look with a touch of the movie “Twilight”. If you’ve already subscribed to my facebook page, then you’ve probably seen quite a few shots from this insane photo shoot with Audray Blais, the art director at Bombance Event Planning.

Audray Blais is not new to the event planning scene, but since she started her new company, Bombance Event Planning, she wanted to showcase all that she has to offer in the world of exotic event planning. She put together all the elements that go in creating one of her creative events, including decor and furniture, catering, models and performance artists, gowns, makeup artists and hair stylists and on and on. Simply put, there’s nothing that Audray can’t achieve and her attention to detail is superb. Best of all, she is a lot of fun to work with and goes out of her way to please.

When she approached me to photograph this event I knew she was up to something out of this world. I could tell also that we shared the same artistic vision and that it was going to be fun. What I didn’t anticipate is that it was going to turn out to be one of the most amazing shoots ever, and I am very proud to share some of my favorite photos here with you:

I had the pleasure to photograph a masquerade ball put together by a friend and industry colleague, Audray Blais from Bombance Par Substance-Stratégies. Audray is the creative mind behind Le Group 101 which consisted of some of Montreal’s most creative people when it comes to event planning: VIP Productions, A Croc Gateau, Tenue de soirée, Jeromy agrumes design, Lab&Bar with bartender Francis Cabana and lastly DJ DannyD together with Jean-Francois Auclair and briefly, world  renowned DJ masterP.

Other contributers to this amazing event were  Sofa to go with their stunning furniture pieces and Carte blanche event planners.

As many of you know, especially those who are planning their wedding this year or the next,  Quebec’s largest bridal show; the Marions-Nous show was held last weekend here in Montreal. Many of you may have even met me at the Beautifoto wedding photography booth there. Long story short, the magazine associated with the show which is in it’s own right also one of, if not the most popular bridal magazine/guide in Montreal. Well, if you flip through the pages, you will notice that a lot of the editorial photos used in this issue are non other than Beautifoto’s. Quite a few of them in fact are used in large format too. Wow, I am so flattered and humbled by that. This pushes me to continue to innovate and to think of yet more creative ways to stand out from the rest.
