We want 1 Million stories of faith to hit the web and for every story, $1 donated to women's charities. That means we'd raise $1 Million to help underpriviledged or at-risk women and girls. Our friends over at Precious Woman Magazine told us about an urgent need. If you're looking for a way to help women and children in Africa experience God's beautiful faith, read below.

All of us at JHM Global, [Precious Woman Magazine's parent ministry] are appealing for your help today in anyway you can. Many of our projects in Africa are in a critical situation - they have been badly affected by the economy and people are hurting. There have also been many recent deaths of women and children in our communities from HIV/AIDS, as well as an increase in women being admitted into hospital due to HIV-related complications.

We have been seeking the Lord and are believing for miracles. We are desperately trying to send out a larger medical supply and more funding for food! Proven Way Retreat & Carol Kent

I had the privilege of sharing about the Beautiful Faith movement in Dallas last week at the Proven Way ministries women's leaders retreat at Prestonwood. More importantly, I met so many women with wonderful stories that exemplified God's beautiful faith. I was encouraged that so many leaders wanted to reach out and pour into generation next and now. We had funny discussions on facebook (which at the retreat I suddenly became an expert on). I also made some great new friendships including that with Carol and Gene Kent. I was so inspired by Carol's testimony about her son's incarceration. I also started reading her book Becoming a Woman of Influence. I added some of Carol's youtube videos to our YouTube channel. - Larissa

GMA week Nashville wrap up

I want to thank everyone who came by our Prayer Suite during Gospel Music Assn week in Nashville. We videotaped wonderfully personal stories of faith from the women and had men contribute stories about women in their lives. We also prayed for the artists and their ministries. Over the next few months, we'll begin editing and posting the video stories on our site and youtube channels. I believe these testimonies of God's faithfulness will help transform lives around the world.

What is Beautiful Faith?

Beautiful Faith is the title of a new music CD compilation of 13 inspiring Christian women's voices and songs in stores October 14th, 2008. Beautiful Faith is more than just the music but a movement to encourage women to share their beautiful faith with others around the world. God can turn experiences that seem ugly into something beautiful.

There are three aspects we hope will touch and change lives:

1) Beautiful Faith: The Music - We hope the songs from this CD can provide comfort, encouragement, healing and uplifting to others.

2) Beautiful Faith: The Stories - The women of Beautiful Faith have diverse experiences, passions and stories. All are evidence of God's ability to turn something that seems ugly, painful or insignificant into something "beautiful." We hope their stories of overcoming life-threatening illnesses, dealing with heartbreak, feeling at a crossroads with career choices and wrestling with physical imperfections can give comfort to others who encounter these trials. Along with the trials are the stories of triumph that will give hope to those who may feel discouraged and frustrated by life's circumstances.

3) Beautiful Faith: The Movement - The ultimate hope is that every person shares their own "Beautiful Faith" with others around the world which will bring glory to God. A practical way we want to encourage people to live out their "Beautiful Faith" is by getting involved with ministries and charitable organizations that help others discover faith. Rather than limit ourselves to only one charity, we want to endorse a list of worthy causes that are of importance to the artists of Beautiful Faith. We hope there will be an exchange of stories by women from around the world of how they have put their "beautiful faith" into action.
