There is no engine in the car anymore, nor any messy oils or brake fluid. It has been cleverly blended in with the contemporary modern look of the room it stands in.

The room whilst of unusual, and irregular dimensions in floor space, and height, smacks of sleek lines, and elegance. The prestigious looking vintage car has been fitted perfectly where there is a striking difference in the ceiling level. Making it look it look as though it had been deliberately cut to shape with a vintage automobile in mind.

The colours, and beautiful chrome finish on this Jaguar car blend well in this room. As you can see the roof has been removed to reveal the sumptuous leather upholstery one would expect to see in such a luxurious classic car, creating a feeling of vintage quality.

The vintage car is not just for ornamental purposes, but has been made into a showcase vintage display cabinet, with shelves integrated. The lower section of this vintage Jaguar is now a cabinet with closing doors, for storing things.

This style overall is very interesting. The living accommodation won’t be to everyone’s taste, unless you are passionate about old classic cars.

I have never seen art work quite like this before. These remarkable pictures of money look like very simple designs, yet what a brilliant idea.

These amazing pictures of banknotes are from a collection entitled Close The World, where a tremendous amount of thought has gone into folding each piece of paper money in a way that not only produces incredible individual origami works of art with money, but the pictures all carry the same theme.

Amazingly, the artist has kept each piece of paper money in it’s original form, and without cutting or tampering with it other than use careful origami folding techniques, has managed to create individual masterpieces, representing not only the currencies of the world, but also displaying the faces of world leaders wearing the headpiece of their local culture.

These pictures made with money are also very thought provoking. In today’s world the end is closing in on the use of physical money. With the advent of technology, less and less people are using paper money to make purchases, instead relying more, and more on the digital transactions.

These pictures are disturbing when you think of the possibility of real parent responsibility being handed over to their youthful counterparts, but they also give you food for thought. Could this be a fore gleam into the future that every new born child faces?

Children are not children for long. They grow up so fast, and then all of them are faced with a disturbing prospect. That of one day being responsible for the care of their aging parents!

Look what he’s done, he has taken a hot and sweaty gymnasium, a couple of beautiful models plucked from the city, and set them against the glistening backdrop of a mighty ocean. With his black and white theme, the Chanel creative director has brought them all together in a spectacular fashion.

I like to keep the simplicity of the pieces because I think excess makes us poorer rather than richer.”

Ortiz uses perfect minimalism to highlight the true natural beauty of a woman in his paintings. He provides undisputable proof using a simple canvas and some oil paint that women who spend in excess are just chasing after the wind, making themselves poorer with clutter they don’t need.

Most of his paintings have a very light and simple background, and highlight the real beauty of a woman clothed in what is more often than not, merely one simple piece of fabric.

You slow down, and you're driving more carefully now, as you reflect on the damage it’s caused to your car.

With every winter potholes in Britain only seem to get worse, and the repairs don’t seem to last very long, that is, if they are ever repaired at all. Local councils appear to find it cheaper to pay out on the odd insurance claim for damage caused to tyres than to have to pay for constant repairs.

Thousands of car drivers all over the UK are having the lives of their car tyres and suspension needlessly shortened.

Well now a student from London has come up with a brilliant idea to highlight the problem. Steve Wheen Has started a blog where you can follow his Pothole Gardner Project, where he transforms ugly, unattended eyesores, into beautiful miniature gardens.

He say’s it’s “Part art project, part labour of love, part experiment, part mission to highlight how shit east London roads are – the pictures and gardens are supposed to put smiles on peoples faces and alert them to potholes!” What an ingenious way to do it!

Match Art Man takes 16 Years And 6 Million Matches

A match art reconstruction of the Rila Monastery, the biggest, and most influential Eastern Orthodox temple in Bulgaria has taken local artist Plamen Ignatov sixteen years using 6 million matches to create.

The landmark temple goes way back to the tenth century, having played an important role to the people down through the ages, it is situated in the Rila mountain which also happens to be the highest mountain in the Balkan Peninsula.

The monastery remains to this day such a huge reflection of the local peoples identity that Ignatov has dedicated a whole sixteen years of his life to produce a match art recreation.

The smaller recreation of the Rila monastery is located, and on display in nearby Sofia which is the capital of Bulgaria. Housed in the Archaeological Museum it is made up entirely of wood material, six million matches, and decorated beautifully with gems.

What value can you put on a work of art that takes so long to produce? Not only is it a beautiful showpiece, but looking at these pictures you can see that it has been built with perfect precision. With so much detail it’s difficult for us to absorb sixteen years of what must have been a lot of patience and hard work.

His determination and commitment have certainly paid off though, as this is now a massive tourist attraction for Bulgaria, it’s also registered by UNESCO as a world heritage site.

Tom Lacoste works as a juggling artist in the circus and has only recently taken up photography as a sideline. These action packed moving photography shots are a testimony of his amazing talent.

If you’re a budding young photographer, hoping to find career in photography, but stuck for ideas on which niche to get into, these pictures will surely inspire your imagination.

It’s incredible to think that these highly professional looking shots were taken with a cheap camera and minimal outlay.

In an interview he is quoted as saying, “Fire is my main subject, and it was my first love in photography, because at the beginning, what you see on the screen is nothing you could imagine at the moment when you’re taking the picture.”

You can easily see from his works that he has a real passionate love for fire, and photography is a beautiful medium for him to share his passion with the world. What he captures with his camera are scenes that could never have been imagined even if you had been there as a witness, and watched them live yourself.

Have you ever been tempted by those mouth watering adverts for junk food? The biggest players in junk food advertising, McDonalds and Burger King etc have for years been getting away with misleading junk food advertising.

Image advertising has a very powerful effect on our emotions, and when we are under the spell of what we see, our sensible brains are tricked and overwhelmed by what we feel inside.

When we see that delicious whopper, stuffed with all the trimmings we feel excited and hungry for those amazing taste sensations. But are you really getting as much of those taste sensations as you think you are getting? And are those taste sensations really as tasty as you are led to believe, or are you being tricked?

My own personal opinion is that the McDonalds Big Mac is pretty tasty, but have you ever been left feeling a little less than satisfied after eating one?

Junk food has had a terrible press, and studies have proven that eating junk food on a regular basis has a detrimental effect on our health. It is largely being blamed for the obesity in our society, both in adults and in children. The high salt content in junk food causes high blood pressure, that ultimately leads to heart disease. As a result people are developing diabetes at a young age, never heard of prior to the junk food era.

Yet these junk food establishments are not closing down! On the contrary they are continuing to flourish at an unprecedented rate. Why is this you might ask? Well it’s simple really.

It all comes down to misleading junk food advertising. Displaying powerful images in front of your eyes, that control the way you feel. Not only can these images deceive you into thinking you are getting a bigger portion than you are really going to get, they can also trick you into thinking it is healthier.

Transportation Of The Future - Introducing The Zero Helicopter

This design concept for a one man, single seat helicopter could easily be the transportation of the future. It is the brains of designer Hector del Amo, a creation he has entitled “Zero”

I’m sure I’ve seen something similar in some sci-fi movie, could it be that futuristic air travel is taking form? Remember, not so long ago there was no internet or cell phones in existence.

Who knows, add to this cool design some technology, and there could be the makings of a new form of convenience travel.

This proto type doesn’t look especially comfortable, and I also have some safety issues, but then that’s only when you think of the scary heights that a conventional helicopter can reach. I definitely think it has the potential to be an asset in the real world.

Consider this… How cool would it be as a low flying craft? I would feel dizzy and nauseous travelling the airways in this little contraption, but it would be fun to fly over cars and lorries, and traffic jams. Just give me some sort of bubble to protect me from the elements, and comfier seating and I think you could be on to something!

These night time photography pictures were taken from photographer Kevin Cooley’s collection featured at the Kopeikin Gallery in Los Angeles. The works are entitled “Take Refuge.”

Kevin’s images capture the beauty of sunset, and night time. A time when we are all thinking of settling down and taking refuge somewhere safe. These pictures contrast beautifully the warm lights from an urban city, the warm glow from a residential window, to the cold, dark, and frightening outdoors. It captures the moments when the hot sun is departing from mother nature, leaving her cold, barren, and unprotected.

They make us value and appreciate the security of a place of refuge, whatever, and wherever that may be, whether it is a comfortable home in an urban city, a cave carved out in the lonely mountains, or perhaps a shelter from the rain under a tree, or a rock mass.

Kevin’s work even took him and his entourage as far away as the arctic. A no mans land, where few would dare to go, he says “Part of the reason I was drawn to the Arctic is because it’s sort of the end of the earth—an uninhabited place. It’s places like that where you’re directly confronted with this epic idea of nature.”

Is there really somewhere that you can take refuge wherever you are in the world? Even at the end of the earth? These pictures are certainly confrontational. The bring us face to face with mother nature herself. They force us to realise that whether man or beast, we are all one and together, sharing the same place of refuge, that is called our planet earth.

Sexual Communication - Male Fireflies Flashing at Females

Look at the beautiful paintings that are created with this sexual communication, as thousands of male fireflies fly around flashing furiously at the females on the ground. The competition is fierce as there are many more males than there are females.

When a female Japanese firefly is looking for love she indicates this with her own flashing signal, then watches as the males compete desperately to communicate with her. She is very picky though, and why not? She afford to be with so many males vying for her attention.

Each firefly is showing off how fast, and how beautiful a light display they can produce. Look at me they are all saying. Look at how fast I can flash. Look at my long lasting display of light. Look at the intensity of my pulsating passion.

These fantastic light communications represent different strengths, and qualities that the male fireflies have to offer, and she knows what she wants, so that she can produce the finest offspring possible. If she likes what she sees in a particular male, she will respond by flashing back in a sequenced manner, synchronising until their rhythmic light dance patterns are totally in tune with one another.

Once she has partnered up with her chosen male she will not respond to any other communications, she takes one partner only, and makes love until dawn the next day. Then she slips away quietly to lay her eggs. There has been no trick photography here, and nothing has been altered in these pictures. It is purely the beauty of nature.

When he says that it’s an immediate way to get your picture on the wall he was not joking. I am astounded at the speed he is able to execute these very unique graffiti pictures. This is not merely graffiti images of the sort you would expect from your local graffiti artist with fancy words, or basic cartoon graffiti, rather he creates depth and feeling, and creates an experience for passers by.

Phlegm’s unique cartoon graffiti art is not limited to the UK, he has produced landmarks such as these in cities all over the world. I particularly love his black and white style, on a somewhat colourful background, that without the input of such creative genius would be nothing more than an eyesore.

If you thought mobile phone use while driving was dangerous, just take a look at these pictures taken by aerial photographer klaus leidorf.

He takes amazing aerial photography pictures while flying in his aeroplane at the same time! I sure don’t fancy being a passenger when he’s on a job.

When you first glance at these pictures of abstract art, you might get the impression of a beautiful varnished floor, set in an old building with a warm rug thrown down.

But if you were to slide along those floorboards, and delve into that rug, you would find yourself crashing into nearly 3000 carefully arranged toy cars!

This meticulous abstraction from reality was created by London based artist David T Waller. As you can see there is a wide variety of colours in this collection of cars, as many colours as there are in the rainbow in fact. Indeed this award winning installation is entitled Toy Atlas Rainbow.

If you look closely you will see that some of these Hot Wheels car are in better condition than others, you will also notice that not only are there a variety of colours, but there are differing shades in each colour group.

Waller has arranged the cars perfectly so as to give the impression of highlights and shades, just as you would see in a conventional oil painting. He has made a simple collection of toy cars into a remarkable work of art.

These amazing pictures of Tallinn demonstrate the ingenuity of Japanese architect Tetsuo Kondo. This suspended pathway is highlighted at the 2011 European Capital of Culture, and it is situated in Kadriog Park in Tallinn, where visitors got a few months to experience what it feels like to get a birds eye view of the forest.

This is unlike any pathway you have ever seen before. It’s foundation is totally dependant on the three hundred year old trees it is suspended from. While others are ruining our forests this spiralling flyover footpath serves as a complement to it’s surroundings, and a pleasure for it’s visitors.

The creator says… “We no longer are looking up at the woods from the ground but we get closer to the leaves and sliver through the branches. It is a piece of architecture which exists for the woods as the forest exists for the architecture.”

This is a wonderful way to create freedom of movement without having to alter the environment. It shows how humans and mother nature have the ability to work in harmony with each other.

Can you believe that these beautiful landscape views, rock carvings, and flowing rivers, and valleys originated from a collection of dusty old encyclopaedia volumes! These amazing book sculptures are the works of Guy Laramee, an accomplished singer, writer, sculptor, and painter.

With advanced information technology in the twenty first century, the demand for encyclopaedias have all but dried up, leaving mountains of dusty old obsolete volumes all over the world. But Guy seems to feel that we are running ahead of ourselves with our so called new information, and advanced thinking and ideas, when he says.

“Cultures arise, become obsolete, and are replaced by new ones. With the vanishing of cultures, some people are displaced and destroyed. We are currently told that the paper book is bound to die. The library, as a place, is finished. One might say: so what? Do we really believe that “new technologies” will change anything concerning our existential dilemma, our human condition?”

I feel Guy has a very valuable, and valid message for the world, and he portrays this beautifully in his book sculptures. The more information we gain, and the more advanced technology becomes, it will only serve to further the erosion of our cultures. People will always blindly convince themselves that the answer to our human condition, our inevitable outcome, lies out there. Somewhere!

His sculptures made out of books give us a reality check, and bring us back to basics. The fact is that no matter how advanced technology becomes, we are still humans, with the exact same basics needs as people had centuries ago. Just as the hills and valley’s erode over time, so do cultures arise, then become obsolete, then are replaced by new cultures, new people. It’s just a rinse and repeat. What is it with future generations that always seem to think they know better?

His three dimensional book sculptures seem to indicate that ultimately any advances we have in technology, appear at the time to be an accumulation, but in reality are an erosion.

She truly has captured something beautiful by using the latest modern IR photography techniques. These pictures were taken in beautiful sunlit, and even tropical locations, yet by using IR photography techniques she has created the illusion of a winter wonderland!

These pictures give us a glimpse of the beauty in our world not normally visible in these locations. Looking at these winter, frost bitten landscape views, it’s difficult to imagine they were taken in the warmth. But when you look closely, you can see that the trees are of a variety only found in tropical countries, and the waters are not frozen over, yet it’s an wonderful illusion. Susan Stockwell is a contemporary artist from the UK. Among other things she specialises in eco art. Her eco friendly art training began in 1993 where she studied at the Royal College of Art, then went on to achieve a BA in fine art at Sheffield Hallum University.

Nowadays she is a widely acclaimed eco friendly artist in her own right, and also teaches eco art in London.

Her latest, and most impressive eco art works “World” has been erected, and can be seen in all it’s glory at the Bedfordshire Universities Campus Centre.

If you’re a lover of impressionist art, then world is the epitome of impressionist eco art. From a distance World looks like a massive map hung up on a wall. But this is no ordinary map. Closer inspection reveals that this eco art is made up entirely of old computer parts recycling!

With the way computers and technology rule our lives in this modern world, it is an excellent and ingenious portrayal of the world we live in, and the way it is headed. A massive landfill of mother boards and microprocessors.

It is a celebration to what science as achieved in this world, but also a testimony to the huge waste that is the inevitable side effect of modern manufacturing technology.

This eco art is undisputable evidence that there is nothing in this world that cannot somehow be recycled. Saving our planet from ruin, and making this world a better place for future generations to live in. Eco friendly art is becoming ever more popular as more and more people realise the benefits of living in an eco friendly world.

Flying Chicken Looking For a Safe Place to Land

Siberian tigers salivating as a tasty chicken nugget appears from nowhere. These predatory animals, and powerful hunters, capable of travelling many miles, and through the night to hunt down, and stealthily attack the likes of elk and wild boar. They are delighted to welcome this wayward chicken liken.

This beautiful picture was taken at the Siberian tiger park in Harben, China, and this chicken is not here by it’s own choice! Visitors at the attraction can buy birds for 50 yuan or £4.50 and send them mercilessly to the tigers. They can also buy pieces of flesh to feed them. But most incredible of all, animal lovers do not read this… Live baby calf’s are available for sale, should you wish to throw them to the tigers.

Talented Seal Plays Chicken With a Great White Shark

This is incredible live action from Seal Island, in Cape Town, South Africa. A clever seal saved it’s self from the very mouth of an eleven foot long, great white shark! Look closely, and see the stunning action. Can you see how it uses it’s flipper to launch it’s self away from the predatory sharks jaws? This incident took place at a pond in St James park in London. Adults and children were traumatised as they helplessly watched this pigeon thrash and fight for it’s life inside the jaws of a pelican, and now you can see the little birds final moment when it finally gave up, and took one last look at the world, before being swallowed whole.
