Hautelook Haul ♥

Hey everyone! Guess what? Crown Brush is back on hautelook! Whoo hoo!!!!!!! I just purchased two things from Hautelook: 88 shadow palette & Pharmaskincare eyeshadow. I did a review on my BH Cosmetics 88 Color Palettes few months ago. The price and quality of these shadows are amazing! I purchased the BH Cosmetics 88 Tropical Shimmer Palette & 88 Matte Shadow Palette.

The Crown Brush 88 Palettes look almost identical to the BH Cosmetics Palettes. (I think it's the same product but labeled with different brand names). Anyways, from Hautelook I purchased the 88 Neutral Eyeshadow Palette. I am soooooooo excited to get this palette because I use A LOT of brown and neutral colors which this palette is full of. It says the original price of this palette is $58.99, but I bought it for $18.00~ whoo hoo! From looking at the pictures, it seems like there is a mix of both matte and shimmer shadows in this palette! There are many other different Crown Brush palettes, makeup brushes, accessories, etc... so make sure to check it out! The event ends on February 20, 2012!

The other item that I bought is an eyeshadow by Pharmaskincare. I've never heard of this brand before, but I think it's an highend brand. I was looking through the events on Hautelook and I was curious to see what "Pharmaskincare" was. I clicked on it and saw a page full of awesome single eyeshadows, anti-aging lipgloss, mascara, eyeliners, and more! I read the item info, "You will love the smoothness and softness of Anti-Aging Eye Shadow as well as how it improves the skin around your eyes to help decrease the appearance of wrinkles and age" and decided to try this brand out! The color that I fell inlove with is the Nutrient Eye Shadow - PH112 Antique (neutral brown color). It's my favorite shade of brown, very similar to the Naked Palette shadow Buck and my MAC "cork" eyeshadow. I will do a detailed review on this as soon as I get it and try it out! This eyeshadow is originally $22.50, but I bought it for $11.00~~ event ends on February 18,2012!

How I Clean Makeup Brushes ♥

Hey everyone! It's really important to keep all of your makeup brushes clean, especially if you have sensitive acne prone skin like me. If I forget to wash my brush and use a dirty brush to apply my face powder, I will break out the next day. There are two different ways that I clean my makeup brushes : daily spot cleaning and weekly deep cleaning. I use to deep clean my makeup brushes with my sephora brush shampoo, but switched to hand soap and olive oil earlier this month. I think this method is a lot more affordable and better than going out to buy those expensive brush shampoos. You can also use antibacterial dish washing soap or even baby shampoo instead of the hand soap!

How I Met 2pm ♥

Hey everyone! I've been getting SOOOOOOO many emails lately asking about how I took pictures with 2pm and if I can write a post on my blog about that day. I took pictures with them at the Wonder Girls & 2pm World Tour Concert two years ago. Aiden bought VIP tickets to the concert for us that took place in The House Of Blues. He bought it for my birthday present.... pre-ordered it 2 months before the concert. It was a hot summer day in July. We arrived there two hours earlier, but there was already a HUGE line waiting to go inside. Since we had VIP tickets, we didn't have to wait in line outside, and they automatically let us inside the building. I didn't know that we were actually going to meet the two kpop groups until I got inside the building. People in line were so excited and screaming with joy that they couldn't believe that they will be meeting Wonder Girls and 2pm. It turned out that if you have VIP tickets, you will get a chance to meet the two groups, greet them, talk to them, and take pictures together. As the line started getting shorter and shorter, I was able to see Wonder Girls and 2pm at a far distance. Wow.. they sure did stand out... very pretty and handsome! The meet and greet took place behind the stage an hour before the concert started. We first met the Wonder Girls and then 2pm. Aiden and I greeted the members of the Wonder Girls in both English and Korean. We chatted for a few minutes and took pictures with them. I was wearing 5 inch heels that day, and being 5'5'' tall already I ended up being 5'10'' that day. I was super tall and looked like a giant next to the girls so I had to bend down when we took the picture (that is why I look super short). I didn't want to cover up Sohee! All of them were sooo nice... especially Sunye! The other girls seemed so shy, especially Sohee, so they didn't talk as much. Next it was time to meet 2pm. WOW they all looked very handsome in person! Taecyeon, Junho, and Changsung talked a lot but Woo Young and Nichkhun seemed alittle shy. They greeted us at the beginning and didn't talk as much. Taecyeon spoke to us in English (he's so good!). They asked who my favorite member was, and I told them it was Taecyeon so he told me to stand next to him to take a picture! I think Junho was the cutest member in the group! He is sooo funny and I love his great outgoing personality~ is he the youngest? As soon as he looked at Aiden he said in Korean, "WOW............ how are you so tall? I wish I can be tall like you. What can I do to grow taller?" Hehe. For those who doesn't know how tall Aiden is, he is about 6'2''. All of the 2pm boys were wearing combat boots with heels (and ggal changs inside of course - most Korean celebrities put this INSIDE of their shoe to make them even taller). Aiden was still the tallest out of all of them! After that we rushed back to the concert room so that we could get good seats. Good thing Aiden was tall, he made his way to the VERY front of the stage. So yeah.. this is my story of how I met Wonder Girls and 2pm. Their concert was AWESOME! They sing and dance soooo well... very talented~ no wonder they are in JYP! It was my first time ever going to a concert... and I'm so thankful for having an awesome husband who bought me tickets to goto an awesome event like this. I will never forget this day! (PLUS we were in the very FIRST row at the concert, like one foot away from the stage)

Hey everyone!!!!! Aiden and I FINALLY filmed the "hubby does my makeup tag" video that many of you guys have been waiting for~! We had SOOO much fun while filming this video together~ Aiden is pretty good at doing makeup! I was impressed~! It was the first time he ever applied anything on my face since 8+ years we have been together! LOL I hope you guys enjoyed this video as much as we did! P.S ) You guys were probably amazed on how well he draws the eyeliner! It's probably because Aiden is good at art and loves to draw~ hehe =)

My Daily Contact Lenses ♥

Hey everyone! A lot of people has been asking me about what contacts I wear for all of my videos. The brown contacts that I wear daily is Freshlook Colorblends in Brown. I have been wearing these contacts for over ten years now. These are NOT cosmetic circle lenses... they are just regular colored contacts that are prescribed.

I've been getting a lot of questions from people asking if colored contacts is harmful to your eyes and if it makes your eyes worse. For me, I haven't had any problem with that. I've been wearing these contacts EVERDAY for ten years and my prescribtion was always -2.75. When i went to get my eye exam to renew my contact prescription last week, my eyes went from -2.75 to -3.00. It's the first time it changed since ten years ago! There can be many factors to this : using the computer TOO much, watching too much tv, etc.

These contacts are SOOO comfortable and doesn't dry out my eyes all day. When I put on my contacts early in the morning, I never have to put in eye drops throughout the whole day. My eye pupils are REALLLY small (smaller then average people -_-), so these contacts has a "circle lens" effect whenever i wear them. The brown color really enhances my natural dark brown eye color naturally unlike those huge circle lenses. LOVE IT!

I order my freshlook contacts through my optometrist/optical center. I find that it's a lot more cheaper if you buy it through them. I recently bought a box of freshlooks colorblends for $28.99!!! I've never bought a box of these contacts for this price~! I always paid atleast $36.00/box (LOVE my new doctor hehe). Each box comes with 6 lenses (so 3 pairs). These are MONTHLY contacts, so a box should last you about 3-4 months! You can order them online @ http://www.1800contacts.com . This is where walmart orders their freshlooks contacts, but if you buy it directly through this website it will cost more. The last time I checked, a box of freshlook contacts was about $42.00? You will also need a valid contact prescription to order them online (scan or fax it to them). They will call your eye doctor to verify that your presciption is still valid.

I've recently purchased some clear contacts from Acuvue. I wear these when I'm just at home all day =). These dry out my eyes after 7-8 hours of wearing them, so I have to put in contact solution in my eyes once a day. Each box comes with 6 lenses as well (3 pairs). Each pair can be worn for about 2 weeks. I bought these from my optical center for $15.00/box.

I've always wanted to film this video, but never got the chance to because I haven't packed to go on a trip for awhile now! Since Aiden and I are going to New York tomorrow morning to celebrate New Years Eve, I decided to film my "What's in my travel makeup bag?" video! Perfect timing right?! hehe! Whenever I go on a trip, I take ALL of my skincare products with me. I don't like to take a lot of makeup though, especially if I will not be using all of it.
