Sabahan in Black and Gold

This is what makes me proud to be Sabahan. There are various ethnics with beautiful traditional costumes on its own. I remember wearing kadazan costume when i was younger.. i remember my mummy used to put make up on me.. and i will be competing in a beauty contest. And i will be the one who hold a bouquet of flower for VIP in any special events.. that was when i was little girl.. maybe i was cute back then.. or nobody volunteer..who know.

Anyway, while i grow older.. i only had a chance wearing the traditional costume when i got married.. only for picture taken.. and that's it. Early this month, our Department organized our own 'Harvest Festival' or 'Pesta Kaamatan'... and those who celebrate or have their own costume are encourage to wear one. I just got back to work on that week.. not knowing what happened.. but one of my friend as me to try a Penampang kadazan costume.. walking in between friends wearing costumes.. i can only see.. 'black and gold' with different design.. it is so beautiful. I was thrill.. when i fit the costume..it fit just nice and i am loving it.

It just interesting that most sabahan costume are 'Black and Gold'... here are few pictures to share...

Happy New Year 2011... it is never too late to wish my sweet readers.. for a blessing year!..May this year bring you confidence in being yourself, to be healthy, show your beauty and more luck in making money!

What do you want to achieve this year? Need a change in the way you look?.. Style Updates... new fashion, new hair style, instead of wearing trendy glasses..you want to wear contact lenses for a change? mmmm ... what do you feel?..and again.. you have that thought.. what would others think..if i change?..But please do your homework.. make a checklist.. does it necessary? do you look good with that style? is it comfortable.. ? Do questions and answers for yourself. You can ask other opinion first but the answers come from you.. and if feel ready to make that change..go ahead.. you can't please anyone do you?

Once you have done with the styling thingy... here is another thing to do.. Self Discovery. I believe it is important to have a self check. When was the last time you think about yourself? Discover your inner strength...do you need to upgrade yourself with education or skills or do you feel comfortable where you are? Read a lot... and be more informative with new things.. or at least aim to learn something this year.. enroll yourself in a course.

And the last but not least... Self Analyze. Have you been hurt lately? have you been criticize..condemned..? how does it feels.. ? angry...hurts? or do you take it as a feedback? Are you able to cope with stress? Are you emotionally balance? And this is the time to scan the friends you have..analyze them.. just be very careful in giving information....sometimes you never know..who are the real friends.. be friendly but be alert.

There are times, you will hear others talk bad about you.. take it as a feedback, some will hates you..but actually they envy you.. they wanted to be you but they can't be you.. because YOU are AMAZING!

Recharge your energy.. BE POSITIVE.. STAY HEALTHY .. and SHOW YOUR BEAUTY !

Whenever i listen to the song 'What you waiting for' by Mizz Nina feat Colby O'Donis, i am so curious because i am sure i heard somewhere in the lyrics '..... from Kuala Lumpur' and i thought what a cool song ..maybe by local artist.

Sometimes i don't really bother about who sings what.. to me the lyrics and music is important. The first time i saw the video clip of this song, i search 'who is Mizz Nina' now i know who she is.

I missed the opportunity to attend the Fashion and Jewelery Fair 2010, BeDazzled! organized by Bangsar Shopping Center (BSC) owned by Bandar Raya Development Berhad. It was held on 28th April till 5th May recently, great to hear that it was a sparkling success.

For those who attended it.. would you care to share your experiences? for those who missed the event..like me...well no worries.. a friend of mine updated me with info and pictures on that special occasion.

Just for your information, Bangsar Shopping Centre is one of the oldest shopping centers in KL but it have been renovated and enlarged.. now it is the old new upgraded shopping center.
