Nike (“Victory”) was the goddess of victory who accompanied Zeus, chief of the gods, and Athena, goddess of wisdom and tactics war. She could run and fly at incredible speeds. In Art she has been described as a woman winged cleaned, wearing flowing robes and holding down a bottle or jar, and sometimes even musical instruments such as flute. Usually, it represented a tiny figure standing on the palm of the other, peer through the clothes or flying above him, a symbol of victory and hope.
