Holiday Girl's Night In with Silk'n SonicCarePlus

Recently Silk'n was nice enough to send me one of their new SonicCleanPlus skin care tools to try out. I've been using it for a few weeks now, and I'm so excited to share my experience with it! The SonicCleanPlus is a perfect addition to a "Girls Night In", giving professional results... No appointments necessary!

The Silk'n SonicCleanPlus cleans so thoroughly without being too rough or irritating. It cleans away dirt, oil, makeup, and other impurities from my skin, leaving it nothing but Silk'n Smooth! You can use it on basically any skin type- normal, dry, or oily. My skin is combination and also a bit sensitive, but I found the SonicCleanPlus gentle enough for daily use. Don't get me wrong though, it packs a punch! It has the largest motor on the market among cleaning brushes which results in a strong vibration sent to every bristle on the brush. This results in a deep yet gentle clean. You can use it on your body, too, and of course it's suitable for use in the shower. It makes a wonderful all-over exfoliating tool, and it comes with three interchangeable brush heads so you can choose which to use on your face and which to use on your body.

I also love the timer feature, the unit automatically turns off after 60 seconds so you can easily keep track of the treatment time for each part of your face or body. It also has different speed settings and two modes- vibrating and pulsating. Basically it allows you to completely customize your cleansing routine. It's rechargeable and cordless, too! According to Silk'n, it removes 6x more dirt than hands alone. I don't have a microscope and a lab handy, but I can tell you that my skin feels way cleaner after using the SonicCleanPlus than when I just wash my face with my hands.

I love wearing makeup but I do sometimes worry about the effect of having stuff on my skin every day, and I'm happy that this product can clean my skin so thoroughly. I've noticed my pores looking smaller since I started using it, too. I am so happy I got a chance to try out the SonicCleanPlus.. It's become a part of my everyday routine and my skin couldn't be happier. #CelebrateInStyle Holiday Season Preview Event from Single Edition Media!

This week I was invited to a wonderful event hosted by Single Edition Media and InStyle in New York City. The event, #CelebrateInStyle, was held at The Glass Houses in Chelsea. The event served as an experience program for brands to showcase new and exciting products to a select network of bloggers in anticipation of the holiday season. It also allowed me to catch up with some of my blogger friends! I saw a lot of cool products and am so excited to write my 2014 Holiday gift guide! Heres a little recap of the event:

We were greeted by a lovely setup from Brancott Estate's Flight Song Wines. Look at that beautiful sunset in the background! The Glass Houses was a lovely venue with panoramic views of the city.

Vigoss had a table set up with some of their new awesome new jeans. Aren't the black ones cool? The are coated denim, which gives you a nice stretch with a shiny leather-like look.

Silk'n had some of their amazing products on display.

Sugarwish had such an adorable table! They offer a really cool service where you send a friend or loved one an e-gift certificate, and the recipient can redeem it for a cute box of the candy of their choice!

Can you believe these clothes are from Sears? Sears Style was at the event with a great display from their new Metaphor collection. Really on-trend, well made clothes at an excellent price point. Everything is under $100. Love the details on that sweater.

Etienne Aigner was showcasing their gorgeous handbags. These styles are so perfect for Fall!

Elizabeth Arden had one of the most beautiful tables, with a visual display of some of the fragrance notes that make up their classic perfumes.

We were treated to delicious, vegetarian hors d'oeuvres courtesy of Gardein.

Bulova has such an amazing variety of beautiful timepieces.

After browsing the tables we listened to some very interesting presentations from some of the brands, like this one from Sears Style. How cute is that red dress?

My friends Diana (warwornfashion.com) Heather (fashionistanygirl.com), and I enjoyed the Flight Song Pinot Grigio as we met the brands.. We always love seeing eachother at blogger events like this!

Attendees were also treated to an amazing gift bag featuring goodies from the brands at the event and more! The bag included a beautiful lipstick from Elizabeth Arden, a stylish bracelet from Etienne Aigner, a gift card to DSW (omg!), some yummy protein gummies from RAPProtein, hair products from Beautiful Textures, scented holiday ornaments from Balsam Hill, Jergens BB Body Cream, and much much more. One of my favorite items in the bag was a beautiful votive candle set from Alassis Candles. The packaging is beautiful and they smell amazing!

2014 Halloween Bath Goodies from LUSH

Lots of citrusy bubbles make for a relaxing and uplifting bath. I can't wait to use the rest, everything smells so great. Definitely stock up on these because they won't be around for long!

Milani Color Statement Nail Polish in Enchanting Swatch and Review

Stop the presses, I've found the perfect Fall nail polish! This is Milani Color Statement Nail Lacquer in Enchanting. It is an absolutely perfect, very deep and very vampy blackened red. This is my ideal Autumn polish! So chic yet very wearable, and it looks great on shorter nails. The formula is excellent, shown is two coats of Enchanting with one coat of Milani Quick Dry Topcoat. Enchanting applies very smoothly and dries pretty quickly as well. I forsee this polish getting a lot of use this season! What do you think of this oxblood shade?

EOS & Rachel Roy Limited Edition Lip Balm Sphere Collection

Now that the weather is turning cooler, I'm missing Summer already! Thankfully, a little sliver of Summer is back with these awesome new EOS Lip Balm Spheres. EOS has teamed up with acclaimed fashion designer Rachel Roy (known for dressing Michelle Obama, Jennifer Garner, Tyra Banks, Penelope Cruz, and more..) to bring us these tropical and sunny colors and flavors. Rachel curated the new Spheres, which all come embossed with her iconic "wing" design. Zoya Savita Matte Velvet Nail Polish Swatch and Review

Hi Everyone! I'm back after a bit of a hiatus and I have a stunning polish to show you today. Zoya recently re-released their popular and coveted Matte Velvet collection- a gorgeous range of deep jewel tones complemented by a rich and dimensional grey and black. I think what sets the Matte Velvets apart from other matte polishes is their beautiful depth. So much rich sparkle.. And that gorgeous velvet finish! I put on Savita, a lush purple, to show you today:

The color is stunning! The application is a dream.. Opaque in two coats and very fast drying. They wear quite well, too. I'm on day three with no chips or wear. I can't wait to put on the rest, but I don't have the heart to take this beauty off! The Matte Velvet collection is so perfect for the Fall and Winter! What do you think?

Visitors can create their own custom Tic Tac® packs with their favorite blend of flavors, and even choose a bright and colorful label customized with their name. When you make a pack online, their is even a chance that Tic Tac® will select yours to make and send to you! Tic Tac® will also be touring the country attending several events this summer, where you'll have the chance to design a pack in person. I love Tic Tac® , and I love the idea of being able to create a pack with multiple flavors. The new site is so fun and colorful, I was inspired to create a nail art look based on the design.. Here's what I came up with:

So fun for Summer! I used a white nail polish base and a slew of bright colors to create the look with a small paintbrush. Farm House Fresh Whoopie! Body Wash and Bubble Bath Review

Recently I had the chance to try Farm House Fresh's new Whoopie! Body wash. I'm a huge fan of their Whoopie! fragrance already, I own both the body cream and hand cream. It's a delicious, vanilla frosting-type fragrance. I was so excited when it became available in a body wash! Here's a little info on the new product straight from Farm House Fresh:

"Whoop! Whoop! Our delicious Whoopie Cream Shea butter is now a bubbly shower and bath delight. This whipped, creamy body wash bubbles without sulfates, while leaving behind our delectable fresh-baked whoopie pie scent. Made with aloe, vitamin E and a blend of extracts that calm sensitive skin including Green Tea, Chamomile and Arnica Montana Flower. The body wash has a very creamy, moisturizing lather. I absolutely love the scent.. Dreamy, relaxing vanilla with a lovely sweetness. I haven't had the chance to use the Whoopie! Shower gel as a bubble bath yet (who can find time for a bubble bath!!) but using it as a shower gel really transforms an ordinary shower into a relaxing, fragrant experience.
