Sometimes changing a product or how you use it can bring about a simple change in your look. A simple change was what I stumbled onto when I decided to give the Stila Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner a try. The end result…BAMM!!!

Liquid eyeliner has been around for some time, but this liquid eyeliner contains glitter. The glitter changes what use to be standard liquid eyeliner to now liquid eyeliner with extra pop. There is an array of colors to choose from, but my favorites are sequins-sparkling black, electric-sparkling bright green and curacao- sparkling violet blue which is to die for!!!
Price: $22.00
Available at: Sephora, stilacosmetics.com, Nordstrom, Ulta

Since wearing a nude glossy lip arrived on the scene, it was a trend I wanted to try. Unfortunately because I have a two toned lip dark on the top and light on the bottom, it was something I couldn’t do. Most lip glosses were to sheer to sport the look like I wanted until now.

Inglot a cosmetic company out of Poland has created AMC Lip Paints that finally allow me to wear a nude lip. The lip paint is pigmented enough to give great coverage, but also has some wonderful skincare properties. Its smoothing and repairing formulation moisturizes, repairs and stimulates collagen production.

There are 20 shades to pick from. My favorites are #51 for a nude beige lip, #63 for a soft pink lip, and #60 for a sun kissed coral lip.
Price: $12.00.

If your eye shadow creases or fades then here is the solution. Too Faced Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer is the product for you. This primer provides full coverage for the eye lid concealing any discoloration. It prevents creasing, fading and smudging so powder or cream shadows stay put and don’t come off until you take them off. The color intensifying formula ensures that you get maximum shadow pigment payoff. The Vitamin E formula leaves the eye area with a silky feeling while providing soothing effects for those with a sensitive eye area.
Price: $18.00

If you live where you have to weather a cold season, then you know all too well the toll it can take on your face. This time of year I see a lot of clients who suffer from dehydrated skin caused by the cold and wind outdoors, and the dry heat indoors. One way to rehydrate skin in need is to add a gel mask to your regime during the winter/spring season. Gel masks will cool, sooth and infuse the skin with water leaving the skin plump, and soft as a baby’s bottom. Here are a few gel masks that I love working with.

Astara: Golden Flame Hydration Mask- Contains Organic Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Cucumber and Chamomile to sooth. Hyaluronic Acid helps draw and bind moisture to the skin. Leave on for 30 minutes then rinse, or can ... Read More »

Right from the start, I knew I was going to like Katy. There was such a relaxed way about her that you couldn’t help but be immediately drawn to her. She’s a woman who’s comfortable in her skin, and it came across in the way she planned her wedding. She didn’t go with a traditional wedding theme; instead she planned her wedding around the things that are a part of her everyday life.

Cooking and entertaining is something near and dear to Katy. When she decided to take her wedding photos at Whole Foods Market in Lincoln Park, I thought it was a cool and unexpected move for a bride.

Her photos have a casual air about them as she walks the aisles selecting regular staples like fresh fruit, cheese, wine, and let’s not forget something to satisfy a ... Read More »
