When it comes to skin care I like to keep it simple. Even before lockdown I never adopted the infamous 10 step routine (I’m pretty sure it’s actually more now), 5 is more like it in my books, and that’s just for the evening. My daytime skin care routine is even more stripped back with just 3 simple steps: cleanse, serum, moisturise and I’m going to talk you through my process and show you which products I’m currently using! Step 1 – Cleanse I have dry combination skin which means dry cheeks and chin and an oily T-Zone. However, I’m definitely on the drier side than oily. Over the years I have learnt to understand what my skin needs and responds well to. In the mornings I used to cleanse with a cleanser such as the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel or the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser but after a while, I realised my skin just didn’t need it. The dry patches on my skin have always present and no amount of moisturiser could nourish them. After finishing my last bit of cleanser, I decided to take a break and cleanse exclusively with water! When I wake up my skin isn’t overly greasy so just doesn’t require a deep cleanse compared to the evenings when I’ve been active all-day. Since using just water in the mornings, my skin has vastly improved and the dry patches diminished so it could be something to consider if you have similar skin to mine. Step 2 – Serum I tried using Hyaluronic Acid before but never found that it worked for me. BUT since lockdown and joining TikTok, I discovered a whole new side to…

Food brings happiness When I scroll through my photos and remember all the places I’ve been to I have so many good memories. Food brings people together and so many occasions revolve around eating. It brings joy, laughter but above all happiness. Here are some of my top 5 restaurants in London and ones which I’m looking forward to visiting, hopefully soon! 1. Kangnam Pocha Kangnam Pocha is in ‘my top 5 restaurants in London’ list for a reason. This is the place for Korean food in Central. Tucked away along Drury Lane, Kangnam Pocha do my favourite soup in EVER – Yukgaejang, a spicy beef soup. The soup has a great depth of flavour and the shredded beef is always tender. It also has glass noodles in the soup too which adds texture. Served with a bowl of rice, it’s easily the best dish on the menu in my opinion. If you’re not a soup person Kangnam Pocha also have an array of other dishes as well. To we normally always go for the seafood pancake, haemul pajeon. Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and filled with seafood you can’t go wrong with this. If you’re not keen on seafood they also have a kimchi pancake as well which is just as good. For meat lovers, galbi short ribs are a must. A classic is also spicy bbq pork belly, jeyuk bokkeum. Plenty of flavour and a little bit of heat, this goes perfectly with a bowl of plain white rice. 2. Xian Biang Biang Noodles I have only been to Xian Biang Biang Noodles once but I can’t wait to go back! My boyfriend…

Hey there! It’s been a while since I’ve posted so I wanted to start off by saying hello and how are you? That time I started a YouTube channel I had been planning to come back sooner but in all honesty, my head and heart just wasn’t in it. As some of you might know, I tried my hand at making YouTube videos over on my channel but soon realised that filming and editing takes a lot of time (kudos to those who do this as a day job). It was fun and to some extent, easy, but there’s a lot that goes into putting a video together. YouTube plus a full-time job was hard and I couldn’t devote the focus it needed. Instead, it’s now lying dormant until I’m ready to pursue it again. What happened in the last 2 years? So what have I been up to from 2018 to now? Well a lot can happen in 2 years. Firstly, I turned 30, my boyfriend and I went to Japan for the first time to celebrate my birthday, we got a mini lop bunny called Oreo (more on her to come later :)), travelled some more, been eating a lot, started a food Instagram to document my eating, did a 6 week fitness challenge, discovered a love for fitness and subsequently changing my lifestyle for the better, I’ve started on a journey towards minimalism and so on. Even though I’ve been busy with life, it’s not to say that I haven’t missed blogging. I just haven’t felt inspired to blog like how I used to. OG followers will remember me as a beauty fanatic who loved trying new skincare &…

If you’ve followed my blog (and now YouTube channel) long enough, you’ll know that I am very minimal when it comes to my makeup. I can watch endless videos of other creators and MUAs applying multiple eyeshadows with precision or blending several lip colours just to create the perfect shade. But for me, I like to keep it natural 1) because I’m just not that good at applying eyeshadow and 2) I want something quick and easy so here is my current natural makeup routine video! I hope you enjoy this video! Please gives this video a thumbs up if you like it and subscribe to see more. I know I’ve been quite focused on my YouTube recently but hoping to get more regular posts on both platforms soon. Thanks as always for your support! Love Sophia xo

Valentine’s Day Gift Guide For Him Following on from my Valentine’s Day Gift Guide For Her I also wanted to share a gift guide for him too, if you were in need of some inspiration for your partner or male friend in your life. 🙂 1. It’s a really useful credit card tool with multiple uses including bottle opener, screwdriver, ruler, saw blade and more. 2. And let’s face it, no one can ever have enough pairs of socks. 4. Whiskey Wedge Glass For that special someone who enjoys a nice, chilled alcoholic (or non alcoholic!) beverage.
Valentine’s Day Gift Guide For Her Love is in the air! And that in no way means that you have to be in a relationship to be able to experience love around you. Whether you’re with your partner or just a bunch of pals, sometimes it’s nice to just get them a little something to remind them of how much they mean to you! So in preparation for Valentine’s Day next week, I’ve picked some of my fave gifts that you can give to your special someone. 1. Love Letters of Great Men For those of you who have seen Sex and The City you might recognise this book and one which I think is fitting for Valentine’s Day! A collection of love letters written by some of the great men in history, I couldn’t think of a more romantic read. 2. Oliver Bonas Awesome People Club Mug I thought this Oliver Bonas mug is just the cutest and serves as a great reminder when you’re having your morning cuppa that we are all AWESOME and should be in such a club – which I’m sure probably exists somewhere but if not we need to start one! 3. Missoma Nova Ring Jewellery is a classic gift for Valentine’s Day and I just love this Nova ring from Missoma. It looks just like a shooting star and doesn’t quite wrap all the way round the finger which makes it look delicate and unique. 4. The White Company Cashmere Bed Socks Socks are for all year round, not just for Christmas! And with it being so cold this February, these cashmere bed socks will keep feet toasty at all times. 5. Oliver…

Hi guys, Hope you’ve been having a wonderful week. 🙂 I’ve been trying to stay on top of my YouTube uploads and if you haven’t already seen, I have a few new videos on my channel! One of my most recent videos is my first What’s In My Bag video and a Gucci Soho Disco bag review. The Gucci Soho Disco bag has been the perfect crossbody bag and despite its size can fit a lot more in than you’d think! I love how it can fit all my essentials: phone, wallet, keys and some beauty bits and could definitely fit much more if I tried. I’ve been mostly using this as an evening/weekend bag as it’s sadly too small for work but I do wish I had even more chances to wear it. However it’s not all bad because with its part time wear I hope to be able to look after it a lot better than I did my Mansur Gavriel saddle bag which unfortunately looks a bit worse for wear after its 2 years use. To find out what’s in my bag and my first impressions of the bag, watch my video below! Hope you enjoy my video and don’t forget to ‘Like’ and Subscribe if you haven’t already 😉 Thanks again guys! Love Sophia xo

I’ve been working more on content for my YouTube channel and my latest video is my Holy Grail Products 2017 video.
Oh K! Mask Edit Event Hi everyone! Hope you’ve all been doing well? I can’t believe we’re already half way through August – seriously, where is this year going?! Anyway, rewind back to last month and I actually attended an event (it’s been a while) for the Oh K! Mask Edit launch at the Nobu Hotel in Shoreditch. As a big fan of Korean skincare, especially sheet masks, I was really excited to see what Oh K! were going to be launching. One of the newest additions to Oh K!’s range will be the ‘Gold Foil Sheet Mask‘. Now you might be thinking oh is it actually going to be foil like in texture (I know that’s what I was thinking) but it’s safe to say that it won’t be! It does however have a gold effect on the mask and a unique honeycomb pattern design which is something I’ve not seen on a sheet mask before. This mask is designed for moisturising and the inclusion of chamomile and peony flower extract help to sooth and smooth the skin. Next up we have the ‘Collagen Hydrogel Mask‘ which comes in 2 parts and has a gel consistency rather than the traditional fabric style sheet mask. I have quite a small face and typically masks don’t fit my face all that well so the advantage of having 2 parts means that you can adjust the mask so that it covers your face just right. With the inclusion of hydrolysed collagen and plant extracts the Collagen Hydrogel mask helps to improve skin elasticity and leaves skin smooth and supple. If you live in a city with heavy air pollution like London, collagen masks are…

Even though I’ve been absent, it’s not to say I haven’t given my blog a lot of thought and also YouTube, which brings me on to the subject of this blog post – I’ve filmed my first ever YouTube video! Getting on to YouTube has been on my resolutions list for as long as I can remember but if you know me, you’ll know that I am quite camera shy which is why you probably won’t find many selfies of me floating around on the interest. However after much thinking and coaching myself when I see my favourite YouTubers share new content, I’ve decided to give it a go! It was certainly a challenge and I know I still have so much to learn in order to grow, but I feel like I’m ready now for this journey and I’m really excited to be able to share it with you all. I would love it if you have some time, to take a look and let me know what you think. I’d love to hear your thoughts! So without further ado, here is my YouTube video: Thanks so much to my followers for being patient with me while I’ve been away. And I hope you’ll join me on this new venture. Love Sophia xo
