For the past 2 months I have been using the Keranique Hair system. By system I mean shampoo and conditioner. Scalp Stimulating Shampoo and Volumizing Keratin Conditioner to be exact.

I was sent these products from iFabbo for testing and these are my honest opinions.

The reason I am giving this review 2 months later is because 1) I wanted to thoroughly test the product and 2) I only wash my hair 1-2 times a week as is so I wanted a full experience of results. I have never gotten more compliments on my hair than I do now since I have been using these products! I thought I loved the Not Your Mothers line, Keranique is a whole other level of hair care!

The Scalp Stimulating Shampoo is so invigorating. It is refreshing and thoroughly cleanses your hair. I love the scent of both the shampoo and conditioner, there are traces of tea tree and mint and lavender and it just smells and feels divine!

My hair feels squeaky clean after using the Shampoo. I use a quarter size, starting at my scalp and continue to work it from the root to the hair tips. Massage into scalp and rinse it out.

The Volumizing Keratin Conditioner leaves my hair feeling luscious, silky smooth and extremely full when I style it. I have been able to blow dry my hair thoroughly with a round brush with no product to control frizziness or add shine. It is already frizz free and super shiny thanks to this conditioner. I focus the conditioner on my ends and run the excess all over my hair then rinse it out.

Like I said, when I style my hair after using these products, I have instant shine and so much volume. I do not have to use any extra products which help prevent build up and means my hair style will last longer because no oils are accumulating as a result of so much product.

Hey pumpkins! Here are a few new goodies I picked up this week!

I have gotten quite a few samples of the Not Your Mothers Hair Care line; mostly from Influenster. I have fallen so much in love with the brand I stopped by Ulta to pick up the Beach Babe Shampoo. Just my luck the entire line was Buy 1, Get 1 Free ! I decided to get the Clean Freak Shampoo since it is the only other one I have sampled and loved.

I received a free They're Real mascara, pencil sharpener and compact mirror with my purchase as well. #winning

THIS. PALETTE. IS. CHOCOLATE.

literally. smells, tastes and looks like chocolate. Definitely a Too Faced signature.

I have been eyeing this palette for some time and a friend of mine sold me hers. Never opened or used.

Used it for the first time today and am hooked. The bronzers are perfect warm and cool tones and the highlights are life. Definitely worth investing in this beauty!

Lastly, we stop at Marshalls. I love a good bargain hunt there. In the clearance section I found an Instant Self Tanning mousse by SugarBaby. It smells tropical, easy to apply, left no streaks and the color was gorgeous. It is supposed to last 5-7 days but only lasted 2 :/

Lady Gaga Fame perfume I have ALWAYS wanted. This baby was only $8. I love the packaging, the bottle, and the fact that it is black liquid. Not to mention it smells good, which is important when you buy a fragrance; that you like how it smells- duh :P

I have never tried any of the Ole Henriksen products. I found this eye cream hiding on the shelf. Only $10-- a total steal! Vital Truth Eye Cream helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles. I have been wanting a new eye cream since I am running low on my Bobbi Brown one and am not trying to shell out for it because it is so pricey. This alternative will do for now.

For the past 2.5 weeks I have been able to test out these awesome products sent to me by Influenster. I honestly think this is one of my favorite boxes to date!

I have received samples of Not Your Mothers Shampoo and Conditioner from the purifying line before, this time I got Beach Babe. I can definitely say that I am 100% behind this line. I love the cleansing shampoos because they have little to no lather. This line is sulfate-free,paragon free, cruelty-free and overall just awesome.

Something I have always eyeballed at Target is the No7 skincare line. For a drugstore brand, I am highly impressed with the quality and packaging of this line. I have normal to dry skin and gets more dry in the winter. I have been applying the Beautiful Skin night cream every night and wake up every morning with Glowing, supple, soft skin. The last time my skin looked like this was when I used Estee Lauder's Nutritious line. I also received a $2 off coupon off any skincare product. I plan on purchasing the No7 Hydration Mask :)

I have heard the NYC bronzer is similar to a high end bronzer. I love NYC bronzers. This one is soft and gives just enough color to keep the summer glow going on into the Fall.

The Suave Smoothing Lotion smells like cocoa heaven. I love how thick and creamy the product is but I personally feel it is a bit greasy. Maybe I am just applying to much (quarter size)? You could easily cover enough area with a dime size of product.

Lastly was the Protein Bar. I took one bite just to test the flavor. Compared to other protein bars, the flavor is definitely there and it is a soft, chewy texture. I love that it is gluten-free and the yogurt was a nice contrast to the nutty inside. Personally, it contains too much sodium for me so it would not be a product I would purchase on my own.

Best CVS Haul Ever!!

This past week I made a quick run to CVS to grab some hair dye for my DIY Ombré Video. Obvi I couldn't walk out of there without strolling around the equity aisles. And I am so glad I did!!

CVS and other drugstores start to clear out their shelves Around this time of year to make room for new products in tr coming new year. They do this by marking items down 50-75% off! INSANE!

I was incredibly lucky enough to score all of these products for 75% off!!! I paid less than $20 for this entire lot saving me almost $65!

Burt's Bees Orange Essence Facial Cleanser- $2.24 smells like pure oranges melted on my face, not the fake artificial scent. It doesn't foam either because it is free from harsh chemicals and sulfates!

Black Opal Even True Brightening Scrub- $2.24 I read some really bad reviews of this after I bought it but I love it so much! I do not think it is too harsh for an exfoliator and leaves my skin smooth and hydrated because it is so creamy.

Black Opal Even True Fade and Even Fade Creme- $2.24 my only issue with this line is the smell. This cream is super rich and will help fade acne scars for a more even complexion.

Nuance Overnight Rejuvenation- $4.84 I scored HUGE savings with this. Nuance by Selma Hayek is a line I have been dying to try. This product is like a concentrated serum. It is thick like a cream but smooth like a serum. It gives my skin Amazing hydration and I wake up with glowing skin everytime I use it.

Nuance Cooling Eye Gel- $4.84 I have been wanting to try an eye cream for sometime. I planned to purchase te Origins Roller Ball but then I found this. It has three little metal balls in a triangle form that massage underneath the eye while depositing a moisturizing serum at the same time.

Nuance Facial Serum- $4.24 this product also has a cooling metal cylinder that deposits the serum as you roll it on your face. I'm obsessed with with because it's like giving your face a massage facial every night and it feels awesome.

I've been using these all week long and am loving how my skin is feeling and looking with and without make up. Since I have a morning skin care routine set in place I have added these to my night time routine. Stay tuned for how I used these products, in what order, how much and when I use them

I hope you all are having a wonderful Holidays so far!! LOTS has happened since my last post and I am sorry to leave you all hanging! I competed in a figure competition and won first place novice and open- such an amazing experience. Although timing could have been better, I definitely plan on doing another one near the end of 2015 once everything in my life settles a bit.

To be honest, I got a little discouraged in October because I am not one to do a lot of Halloween themed things so I just did not upload much. BUT I am going to try and makeup for it with the last few weeks of 2014!

So far I have 2 new videos on my channel showing you my Morning Skincare Routine and how I have been wearing 1995 by Gerard Cosmetics.

Hello loves. Last week I was feeling pretty under the weather :/ I think it may be the transition to fall and just germs in general. Tons of fruits, water and green tea later I feel like a new person! My diet has been really wishy washy the past few weeks. I would be so good on some days and binge on others. I think I have finally found a balance that makes me happy!

I am working on another project at the moment- more like a personal goal. So I will probably be only able to upload once a week for the rest of this month.

I leave you now with a GRWM video for my sick days. Even though I feel like crap, I do not want to portray that on the outside. Plus making my face up makes me happy, which will counteract how crappy I feel inside. Win/win.

Late Night Upload

Hi loves! I uploaded a video late last night. Online shopping Haul/unboxing! I am not the most avid online shopper. In fact, I always had the worst scenarios play through my mind about online shopping so I was never too keen to the idea of it. I love going tot he store, trying clothes on- just the whole shopping experience.

THAT has all changed now that I have bought my first online purchases last month. I got sucked into the free shipping deals with additional coupons of the items I purchased and now I now online shopping is my new best friend. seriously I spend way too much of my free time adding and editing my shopping carts nowadays.

I ordered from Forever21, 6pm.com, and Lola Shoetique. The black jacket I actually saw on Diana Saldana's Fall Haul video and immediately knew I needed it in my life! My shoes from 6pm.com were such a deal. I really wish the heel was a bit smaller for me to wear everyday but I still love them nonetheless. The last pair of shoes I have been wanting for a while. I bought a similar pair in nude from Macy's and just have not been able to get my hands on a black pair in my size.

Very basic pieces for the Fall, especially since I am in the process of this style journey and redoing my wardrobe.

I feel like complete crap today to be honest. I woke up with terrible body ache and a sore throat. Drinking as much water and green tea as I can to get ready to film! I won't be doing my favorites since it hurts to talk a lot- I may just blog those instead. But I will crank out a video today one way or another.

New Video Alert! Virginia weather has been so wishy washy lately. It is definitely fall but the sun comes and goes at it pleases. I filmed a Get Ready with Me Video yesterday as well as a Haul video before that. And I will have a new video tomorrow morning so be on the lookout for that!

I have been so obsessed with online shopping lately it is kind of ridiculous. I have discovered Paypal and free shipping (I know, I am so late lol) and I have got to stop this spree!

Anyways, this week has been pretty normal. I have begun somewhat homeschooling my son; or so I like to think I have. We have a schedule for set learning activities throughout the day, maybe 1-2 hours because he is only 2 and a half. Though I am learning to incorporate the outside world into his learning as well. Learning science and math outside is actually more fun then sitting at a table with a piece of paper believe it or not. He gets to be much more hands on and more creative.

Speaking of creative I think his favorite "subject" is out craft hour- which usually runs more like 2/3 hours lol. Right now he is really into the Kinetic Sand that my neighbor gifted him. It is actually quite an impressive little invention. It sticks together like play do but falls apart like sand; never dries out and is super easy to clean up. We use it to make shapes, build things, draw in it- it is very therapeutic for me too haha.

Pinterest is an awesome place to get craft ideas for toddlers that promote creativity, motor skills, expressive language skills and more. But that can be left to an entirely different post. Now as I type this, I am thinking about incorporating a mother/toddler bit to my lifestyle section. What do you guys think? I primarily keep this to beauty and fashion related posts, but its my blog so why not?

Kim Kardashian Inspired Fall Makeup

I absolutely loved this lip that Kim Kardashian wore to an event in July. Perfect amount of makeup to accompany such a dark lip. This tutorial is super simple and features Maybelline's The Nudes palette.

I did not have the exact lip color Kim is wearing so I had to invent my own. Gotta love a room full of products to play with! Color mixing is one of my favorite things to do with beauty products, especially lipsticks because you always come out with a unique color that no one else has!

What I've Read [1.0]

This is the first book review of many for this blog. Lately I have been really into books about mysteries, self-development and financial success; but I am more than open to reading just about anything! I have even developed an appreciation for Victorian reads, as much as I despised them in college.

This past weekend I started reading Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn and finished it in 2 days. I could not put it down. It is the most perfect combination of psychocrazyb*tch syndrome and a love story. I mean, planning your own murder and framing your husband as an anniversary gift is insane, but what is even more crazy is the fact that she lives out everything in life in her mind. She imagines a scenario, the dialogue, the setting, the characters, the plot twist- she creates everything in her mind and expects it to translate into real life situations.

But that is not to say her husband is a saint either. He has some crazy in him as well. I'll try not to spoil it but by the end of the book I actually empathized with crazy Gone Girl. (probably because I have created a scene or two in my head and would get upset when things didn't go according to plan-just not to this extreme)

I wish I would have picked this up sooner. I was trying to avoid it with all the headlines it made but it is hands down deviously brilliant.

I also finished The Book of Money for the Young, Fabulous and Broke by Suze Orman. For some reason I was a bit skeptical about this book, I have no idea why though. It is extremely easy to read and she really does "dumb" financial lingo down. I was particularly interested in the investment section which she explained beautifully for someone without of lick of knowledge about business. I can't say I love every bit of advice she offers. I am no millionaire but I am entitled to my own opinions. What I do love is how encouraging she is of your passions. Doing what you love and turning it into a career is possible. Orman explains the difference between jobs and a career very well and I definitely plan on using her expert advise. Great read with really helpful guidelines to getting out of debt and building your portfolio.

What's in My Travel Bag?! Beauty and Baby Essentials

This weekend we are going on a mini family vacation to North Carolina. My hubby has a business conference/event in Raleigh so we all get to go and hopefully have a few hours to do something together. (He is in workshops and guest lectures back to back so we will seeee)

Fall Beauty Trend: Metallic Eyes

This video was totally inspired by DulceCandy87's Metallic Eyes video she did with L'oreal Paris. I completely fell in love with this trend and the look she created. I remember when metallics were big a few years ago so I dug around in my beauty drawers and found some that I have been holding onto.

I also honestly have NO CLUE what is going on with my face :( Maybe it is the transition to fall but I am getting way more oily, with blotchy/red skin and it is making me so upset. I am not breaking out (thank god) but my skin is a blotchy mess and I'm over it. The other day I tried MAC's Fortified Skin Enhancer in Neutralize which is a primer that is supposed to neutralize redness on the skin and make it look more radiant. I think I may give it a try because even my foundation is not turning out how I want it :/

With that said, this look is pretty similar to Dulce's but with different products so I hope you guys enjoy it!

I have been brainstorming a new series or two for the blog. 1) because it helps keep me organized with my topics 2) it helps keep me motivated/accountable to continue the idea. Today I am introducing the Healthy Me series. Instead of throwing in a random health related blog post here, I am will label the post under this title so you are aware it is health related. Healthy Me will cover food/nutrition, weightloss, exercise and more.

We all have those mornings when we just can not get out of bed to go sweat like a pig for 45 minutes. And we all have those nights where we are just to tired after work, school, family, chores, to do the same. I have come to terms with making the best of every situation. Whether you overslept or simply have no time to make it to the gym, working out at home is your next best option. On the days that you seem to lack motivation to do 100 squats in your bedroom, here are 4 ways to help you get through your workout.

1. Workout With You Kids

Being a stay-at-home mom I thought meant I literally had to devote every hour of the day to the house or my child. Not true. There is nothing wrong or selfish about doing some things for yourself. I used to think I could not workout unless my child was asleep or out of the way. Again. Not true. Working out with you kids is in some cases more effective and more fun than working out alone at home. (By kids, I am including your furry babies as well!) You can run outside while you push them in a stroller or you can use them as equipment. Now, I do not mean you can throw them around like kettle bells and medicine balls. Use your kids as weight for squats, lunges, pushups or sit-ups. Have them cling or sit on your back and you have a good 20+ lbs of weight for your exercises.

2. Workout In The Dark

This really helped me when I was doing yoga every day. The mood and energy in a room is everything. A dark room helps you clear your mind and focus on your workout. Since you cannot see anything around you, you will not be distracted or reminded of the hundreds of other tasks that need to get done. Working out in a dark room is relaxing and should be motivating. The fact that you are alone and no one can see you should encourage you to let loose a little and really give your workouts 110% without having to worry about anyone watching you. Because most moms are very self-conscious about the jiggles they may have been left with post-pregnancy.

3. Workout with Music Blasting

Whatever genre gets you moving, play it. Turn it up and play it as loud as you can without disturbing the neighbors. Your kids will love it because they get to dance and you still get to get your workout on. Oftentimes, my child will imitate my workout with me because he thinks it is a game. Jumping up and down to do burpees and jumping jacks then running in place looks fun to a toddler because they love to make the most of their newfound talents- running and jumping. Music will take your mind off of the clock and let you enjoy your workout in the present, no matter how much you are sweating.

4. Workout in Lingerie

This is for the daredevils but also for the body-conscious lovers. One thing about a fitness journey that I learned is that you must learn to love the body you are in. It is yours and you must carve it out into whatever masterpiece you want the world to see. No matter your shape/size loving you for you is a crucial part of the journey. I was able to achieve this by working out in lingerie. Seriously. You don't have to stare at yourself (if you don't want to), but seeing how your body looks and moves is important. Some may prefer to workout in the dark, in lingerie. That's ok! Baby steps, grow your confidence. Show you to you and love it! Own it! Working out in lingerie will make you feel sexy and boost your confidence levels for a great workout.

Beauty Mistakes I Have Made and Now You Don't Have To

I have been overly obsessed with makeup since I got my first beauty kit from BareMinerals junior year of high school. The fact that I could cover up blemishes and give myself a tan just sent me over the moon. I have spent every year since then buying makeup to feed this addiction. Some days I felt like a collector, others mostly like a hoarder. I definitely understand the 'high' a gambler gets when he wins the jackpot, its like- you just need more. Over 5 years later I am still learning the ins and out of the beauty world and definitely adjusting to a more logical approach before going on a makeup shopping spree.

With so many years of trial and error, I am going to share some of my biggest beauty mistakes so that you don't make them!

No Girl.

1. Overly Nude Lips and Tan Skin

Jersey Shore was huge while I was in high school and entering college. There were Jersey Shore themed parties every other weekend and naturally you would dress up as either Sammi, Snooki or JWow. Unfortunately, I didn't get the memo to leave these looks for the party. Not only was I overly tanned, I freaking loved nude lipstick. I still love nude lips to this day but on a much more flattering-for-my-natural-skintone scale. I kid you not, I was the color of an oompa loompa and I wore Myth lipstick by Mac everyday of my life. Unless you enjoy looking like you just made out with a powdered donut, take the time to find your perfect nude lip.

2. Shaping My Brows
Although I do not think I got "plucker crazy" to the point I over-plucked my eyebrows, I did have an obsession with trimming my brows. Literally every two days I would be combing them up and snipping away at any hairs out of place. I also used to hate how thick the center of my eyebrows looked and trimmed those bad boys as well. Long story short, I ended up with halfsies and had to painfully wait and learn how to fill them in until they grew back.

3. Sleeping with Makeup On
I am still guilty of this to this day. So bad I know. I have legit made an effort to remove and cleanse my makeup every night before bed. This makes such a huge, noticeable difference in my skin when I am consistent with it. Throughout college I could care less about taking my makeup off after a night of bar hopping and dancing. The only thing on my mind at 2:30 a.m. was WaWa sandwiches and 7-11 Slurpees. I wish I would have at least invested in makeup remover wipes back in the day.

4. Blonde Overload

I began highlighting my hair Freshman year of college. By the end of Sophomore year I was a Blonde Bunny and loved every minute of it. What I didn't love was visiting the salon every 2 months to get it touched up and conditioned. So my oh-so trustworthy self allowed my mother to touch up my blonde for me- Mistake Numero Uno. No matter how much research I did online I could not get the color just right and ended up with a big carrot orange mess. My hair was ORANGE. And I had too much pride to go back to the salon to admit my faults because I would get charged an arm and a leg to fix it-Mistake Numero Dos. As a result I had no choice but to dye my hair back to its natural color. Sad the blonde is gone, happy my hair is healthy again.

5. Picking My Face
Yes, this is super gross but we all do it. I see it happening in the car, in bathrooms, walking down the street. 90% of us are guilty of picking our faces and we must stop it at once. This is probably my number one biggest beauty mistake because now I spend countless hours and money trying to heal and conceal these scars. Picking at acne will irritate the area and popping a pimple will create and open wound (no matter how small) allowing for more bacteria to enter that already infected area. I am guilty of stress-picking because it takes my mind off of whatever is stressing me out, but the outcome is not pretty. Instead I have been trying to read or go for a walk to clear my mind, and not reach for the mirror.

I absolutely love full coverage foundation without the feeling of having tons of makeup on your face. I really believe that investing in good quality brushes and practicing your technique will help pull the entire look together. Learning how to use a stippling brush like the 187 by MAC and understanding the angles of your face are big factors in creating that flawless skin appearance. I love to layer everything: concealer, foundation, powder and more concealer. It may seem like a lot, but like I said invest in good brushes! The way your makeup is layered onto your face should be pressed into your skin so that you have no harsh lines, no streaks and no patchy areas.

New Haul video is live on my channel! I am proud of myself for sticking to my uploading schedule. My goal is to upload at least 2 times a week and so far so good! I have big dreams for my channel/blog and I plan to keep brainstorming and keep pursuing something I've always loved to do- makeup!

I have always lusted over the color rose gold. There is just something about it that makes me fall in love. I bought almost half of the RiRi Hearts MAC Collection simply because of the rose gold packaging #sorrynotsorry. I tried to capture the rosiness of this look to the best of my ability. Working my way up to bigger and better tech toys, one step at a time!

I used the Smashbox Studio Pop Ultimate Palette for this look. This was from their Holiday 2012 Collection. Favorite Moisturizers for the Fall

Fall is almost here which means warm sweaters, cold weather and dry skin-as if my skin was not already [oddly] dry enough this summer. Believe it or not ladies, your skin changes with age. Whether it changes for better or for worse depends on how well you treat it now. I myself have been taking preventive measures since I turned 21, so it is never too early to start!

These moisturizers will work well if you have dry to combination skin. By this I mean 90% of your face feels dry after you wash it, your makeup gets rough and patchy after a few hours and you develop some oiliness [in the t-zone] throughout the day.

1. Estee Lauder Daywear Advanced Multi-Protection Creme with SPF 15

This moisturizer comes formulated for dry and oily skin. The SPF is going to protect your skin from the sun, even under your makeup. This cucumber filled moisturizer will make your skin feel fresher and look smoother. It helps reduce signs of premature aging, dry lines and dullness in the skin.

2. Origins VitaZing SPF 15 Energy-Boosting Moisturizer

I have raved about this moisturizer before. It is filled with little beads that burst on contact with your skin, creating the perfect color match for your face. It is a very subtle hint of color that will give you a radiant glow to your face. Vitazing is made with Mangosteen which is rich in anti-oxidants which will protect your skin along with the SPF.

3. Olay Fresh Effects

This creamy moisturizer is used at night because it is extremely dense and has no SPF. Apply a thin layer all over your face and wake up with glowing, fresh, slept like a baby skin.

I have been seeing so much of this color going into the Fall season! All over Youtube and in fashion magazines. I created this dramatic, blue makeup look featuring MAC's Zingy eyeshadow.
