Peeling before fake tan
To achieve even and natural result your skin should be well exfoliated. So a day before applying a tanning product make sure you exfoliate your whole body even the face – use a mild exfoliating product which is appropriate for your skin type or a coffee. Exfoliating is a must once or twice a week as it will remove the dead skin cells of your skin and will create an even surface.

Epilating before fake tan
If you are hairy you may not be satisfied with the results, The day before tanning you should remove the unwanted hairs by shaving or waxing otherwise your new tan may look spotty.

Apply a moisturizing lotion
30 minutes before using the tanning product you should apply a moisturizing lotion all over your body – this will moisturize your skin, creating an even surface. Remember: on elbows, knees and fingers the color often becomes more saturated than desired.

Proper application of tanning products
Use latex gloves to avoid turning the palms of your hands orange. • Remember: most of the tanning products take around two to three hours to develop.
• Before applying the product read carefully the instructions on the bottle.
• The tanned look you get from products that contain DHA normally lasts about a week.
• If you use a fake tanning product you will still need to protect yourself from the sun using the different ways (wear a hat, sun-protective clothing that covers as much of the body as possible, wrap-around sunglasses, SPF 15+ sunscreen and seek shade especially during the hot summer months).
• To get the best coverage and avoid unsightly streaks, apply the tanner in circular motions.
• Although there are no known dangers of using tanning lotions, they can sometimes cause an allergic reaction if the skin is hypersensitive.
• To maintain your new tan and to make it last longer reapply the tanning product every week or every three days, depending on the color you want to achieve.
• Never apply tanner on your lips, nipples, around the bikini line, over moles or freckles.
• Don’t cleanse your body with too harsh soaps or shower gels – they may fade your tan faster.
• Use products that are appropriate for your skin type – if your skin is sensitive or dry look for a more moisturizing formula.

• Always apply face powder after cr?me. On a dry skin the face powder clogs the pores making them visible. However, on an oily skin powder doesn’t last long.

• When choosing a nuance, remember that brighter shades are not face-flattering.  Bright colors accentuate wrinkles and signs of tiredness.

Our advice: apply a small amount of foundation in the chin area, which is close to your natural skin tone. Fixate it with a sponge by gently tapping on. Then apply powder in a peach-pink nuance with a big brush.

10 things you should avoid when applying make-up!

Citrus fruits are slightly sour and juicy.  These include oranges, tangerines, lemons, grapefruits, limes, satsuma, clementine and all hybrids of these. Consuming several citrus fruits a day prevents flu and colds during the winter months.  Besides these substances, citrus fruits also contain an impressive list of other essential nutrients, including glycaemic and non-glycaemic carbohydrate (sugars and fibre), potassium, folate, calcium, thiamin, niacin, vitamin B6, phosphorus, magnesium, copper, riboflavin, pantothenic acid and a variety of phytochemicals.  The specific citric acids have been valued as part of a nutritious and healthy diet as they help dissolve fats and reduce the weight. Nutrients contained in citrus fruits are easier to absorb by the organism than any other fruits due to the specific tastiness.

Orange

The well-known and preferred by many round orange fruit is a hybrid of the ancient Chinese grapefruit with a tangerine. It originated from Southeast Asia, most probably South China. Like all citrus fruits the orange is acidic and although not as strong as the lemon, it is still quite strong, which makes it an integral part of any healthy diet. It aids digestion, strengthens blood circulation and the heart. Regular consumption of oranges detoxicates the body. It also influences tonus, work capability and mood. Two oranges are a much more powerful energy source than the morning cup of coffee.

It can be consumed raw or in the form of juice. However, bear in mind that the juice needs to be consumed right after been squeezed as all the healthy nutrients disappear once they contact oxygen.

Lemon

Lemons fist grew in India, northern Burma and China. The fruit was known for its antiseptic properties and was used as an antidote for various poisons. It was a common belief that lemons could cure plague, jaundice and malaria and that they were a strong pain reliever. A lemon is rich in vitamins C, A, B, B2 and P. Its consumption stimulates the inner secretory glands, digestion and the liver’s function. Several drops of lemon juice in a glass of water or coffee instantly relieve headache. A glass of lemon juice a day is strongly recommended for people who work long hours and have little time to sleep as it energizes and strengthens the organism.

Grapefruit

The grapefruit actually bears its name due to a misunderstanding. Centuries ago an English botanic wrongly classified the fruit as a type of grape and although later it became clear that the fruit is citric, its name was so common that changing it was deemed unnecessary. The grapefruit was first discovered in Barbados.
The slightly more sour taste comes from the higher concentration of citric acids. This makes the fruit perfect for loosing weight. Just as other citrus fruits, the grapefruit enhances digestion and can even be used as a diuretic, strengthens the immune system and energizes the organism. However, studies confirm that the consumption of grapefruit along with a medication should be avoided as some of the fruits’ substances can block the medication’s efficacy. Apart from this, the excessive consumption of grapefruit leads to the blockage of a particular enzyme, which is responsible for the production of the estrogen hormone. Scientists believe that this may be the cause for breast cancer.

Tangerine

This citrus fruit also originates from China. The tangerine contains all the nutrients found in other citrus fruits and its peel is thought to be the most efficient for the production of ethereal oils. The tangerine’s peel is the most valued part of the fruit – in the past it was used as a cure for stomachache and lack of appetite. Only last year scientists proved that the tangerine’s peel can be used successfully in the treatment of cancer, but it will take more time until this method is optimized and fully developed.
Due to its rich stack of vitamins, the tangerine is particularly efficient during colds in the winter. It also relieves digestion problems and tiredness. It has been argued whether the tangerine is allergen-free and children should be allowed to consume large quantities of it.

The Best Ingredients And Products For Treating Oily Skin

1. Your skin still needs moisture
One big misconception is that the thermal sprays and the hydrating creams are only for the summer. 2. Change your face cream or moisturizer
It’s not true that during the winter your cream or moisturizer have to be heavy and thick. One interesting fact is that during the winter your skin type may change. For example, if your skin is oily it can become normal; the normal skin may become dry and the dry may become hypersensitive, but these changes will last only during the winter months as the humidity, the temperatures change the skin. TIPS ON HOW TO GET RID OF WHITEHEADS AND HOW TO PREVENT WHITEHEADS

You should never try to remove whiteheads alone at home, never! You should know that whiteheads are different from pimples or blackheads. If you try to squeeze the whitehead you may easily break the skin which will result in permanent, reddish scar.

The best way to prevent the formation of whiteheads is to follow a strict skin care regimen, as follows:

• Clean your face at least twice a day with skincare products that are appropriate for your skin type. Use a facial cleanser that contain salicylic acid or alpha hydroxyl acids as there ingredients help in unclogging the pores.

• Exfoliate your skin regularly – twice or three times a week. Apply the exfoliating products all over your face, using light, circular motions concentration on the problem areas of the face forehead, nose and cheeks. What strategy should you choose and what female tactics should you apply depending on your intentions towards the man?

Going out

For a man – choosing to meet you on neutral ground indicates that he has serious intentions and is not afraid to be seen with you in private. Don’t take the initiative under any circumstances.

Sit face towards him with your back against the main light in the room. This way you stay in the shadow while being able to follow his reactions. At the same time the fact that you are facing most of the people makes him understand that he is by far not the only man in the world and he has to work for your interest.

If a man invites you over to his home, this means that he is willing to do anything for you. Sit by his side – this way you don’t have to make eye contact, but you can touch him. If you want things to get serious

Dress up with clothes that fit and flatter your body, but at the same time are not too provocative. Let him understand that he has to work harder, if he wants to know what’s underneath them. Don’t sit next to him.
Choose a spot at the table that provides an easy getaway in case of more imprudent jokes from his part. If he doesn’t attempt intimacy throughout the dinner that means that he isn’t planning on doing so at a later date either. Most probably he is either up for a romantic evening or he is nervous.
After dinner you can start doing the dishes. He will either try to pull you away by kissing and touching you (keep the game going) or he will compliment you on the coziness of your home (to which your reply can be a sigh and a remark that there’s no one to change the light bulb in the bathroom). The third possibility is for him to leave straight after the dinner and if this is the case – don’t bother trying running after him (it’s not that you need such an asshole in the first place!).

Dinner for two – strategy and tactics

The reason acne occurs is the sensitivity of the body towards the increased level of the male hormone testosterone, which is present in both males and females. This stimulates the oil (sebaceous) glands of the skin to enlarge and produce and excess amount of sebum (oil) – natural substance, which lubricates and protects the skin.

At the same time, acne occurs when hair follicles become plugged with oil and dead skin cells that dissociate from the inside surface of the sebaceous glands. The sebum produced by these glands accumulates with the dead skin cells in the follicle and solidify as a soft plug. This plug may cause the follicle to bulge and produce a whitehead or it may be open to the surface and darken, causing a “blackhead”. The sebum stimulates bacteria, which live on everyone’s skin and generally cause no problems, to multiply and cause surrounding tissues to become inflamed. Inflammation near the skin’s surface produces a pustule; deeper inflammation results in a papule (pimple); deeper blockages and inflammations inside follicles produce lumps beneath the surface of the skin called cysts.

Certain medications, such as oral contraceptives, antibiotics and corticosteroids can aggravate the condition of the acne. For some women, acne can be an indication of the Polycystic Ovary Syndrome or hormonal imbalance, which can lead to abnormal menstrual periods, sterility, excess hair-growth and overweight.

How to avoid scaring or other damage to the skin

Don’t pick or squeeze blemishes as this might cause infection or scarring. Cleanse the skin with a soft cotton pad, dipped in herbal infusion or ethereal oils. Touch your skin only if your hands are clean.

PROPHYLACTICS

You can avoid or control acne with good basic skin care and the following self-care techniques:

Wash problem areas with a mild cleansing bar or a gentle lotion that doesn’t dry the skin. Of the many available brands, oil-free, water-based moisturizers are generally a better choice.
Ultraviolet (UV) rays in moderation are good for your skin as they can cure acne. However, keep in mind that during summer it is recommended that you avoid exposure to the sun in the period 10:00AM – 15:00PM.
Carefully choose your skin products – avoid oily or greasy sunscreens, hair-styling products or skin products that contain benzoyl peroxide. Ensure that the products are labeled “noncomedogenic” or “water-based”.
Try to decrease general sweating – don’t stay in places that are too hot and wear fabrics that allow the skin to “breathe”.
Avoid consuming too much salt with your food. Salt causes the cells to loose water, which can aggravate the condition of the acne.
Apply tea tree oil directly on the blemishes on a daily basis. If the oil is too concentrated, you can dissolve it in water.
Keep your hair clean and off your face. Also avoid resting your hands or objects on your face. Some hair products such as hair-gel and hair-spray can be the reason for the condition in specific facial areas (the forehead). Stop using them for a couple of weeks to see how it affects the acne.

TREATMENT

Aromatherapy: Some ethereal oils control the production of sebum. Amongst them are the Cedar Cone oil (not recommended during pregnancy) and the Atlantic White Cedar (should be avoided during the first 20 weeks of pregnancy). Lavender and geranium oils have antiseptic and healing qualities, while those of camomile and bergamot reduce inflammation. Try the following procedures:
Add 2 drops of Cedar Cone and 2 drops of Atlantic White Cedar oil in a glass of water. Apply the mixture on the skin every 2 hours.
Add 2 drops of Juniper oil to a table-spoon of Jojoba or Sweet Almond oil and stir. Apply directly on the problematic skin areas.
Add 2 drops of Bergamot and 2 drops of Atlantic White Cedar to 5 tea-spoons of Jojoba oil. Add the same mixture of oils to a face-cleansing lotion. Apply the oil mixture in the evening and the lotion – in the morning.

ACNE AND DIET

It is proven that acne is not caused by foods. However, it would be wise to keep a diary of the consumed foods throughout the day to determine whether some of them can cause acne.
Some women experience acne if eating chocolate just before their menstrual period.

Generally people who suffer from acne have less Vitamin A in their blood, which is why foods rich in vitamin A and ?-Carotin are highly recommended. However, any vitamin intake should be closely monitored by a health care specialist.

HERBAL THERAPY

Mix dried roots from Dandelion, Burdock, Nettle, Yarrow and Echinacea and prepare a potion. Drink 1 glass once or twice a day.
Boil up 2-3 tea-spoons dried basil in a glass of water. Cool the mixture and apply with a cotton pad on clean skin.
Cleanse your skin once a day using a Steam bath: keep your face for about 5-10 minutes covered with a towel and above a bowl filled with hot water. Afterwards dry your skin and apply Rosewater, Black Elder water, Camomile extract or Marigold tea. A good idea is to add a couple of drops of Marigold infusion into the hot water.
Dandelion, Burdock, Yarrow and Echinacea roots cure acne by reducing and eliminating the skin bacteria.

In case of unresponsive or severe acne or acne that is believed to be a result of an ongoing medical treatment, it is essential that you consult a primary-care physician or a dermatologist.

Don’t bother trying to convince yourselves that using eyeliner is the most efficient and quick way to ruin your make-up, by turning your eyes into blurry smeared drawings, as it is simply not true. Always remember that practice makes perfect, ladies.

The secret of the “tricky” liquid eyeliner lies in the mastering of few techniques that we will graciously share with you just days before the hottest part of the summer.

Proper make-up foundation

You need to give a base coat of foundation and powder for the eye make-up to adhere to. Even if you don’t want to wear foundation, just apply it to your eyes and always use liquid eyeliner after eye shadow application.

The foundation is needed so that it can even the color of the skin around the eyes and create a smooth, oil-free surface for the make-up.

We strongly recommend that before applying the eyeliner, you slightly sweep the lightest shade across the entire area from lash line to brow. For your eyes, select eye shadows in compatible shades – you cannot go wrong with a pretty shade of white, pink, beige or peach, no matter what your skin tone is.

Choosing a brush

Forget about the thick brushes. It takes a professional to handle them properly and even they use them mostly in body art. You will achieve a far more precise and fine eye line, if you use a thin brush.

You do not need to try and apply the liquid liner all in one long line. It is highly recommended that you follow the Triple Technique, instead of spending half an hour in front of the mirror in timid attempts to sweep the brush across your eye lid.

The Triple Technique consists in painting a few small dashes onto the lash line, the inner, middle and outer corner then going back and connecting them.

If needed, go back and repeat the lines.

If you are trying to achieve the cat eye look – starting at the inner corner of your eye, slowly draw a thin line across your eyelid and extend that line past your lash line.

If you use brush liner to apply all of the abovementioned techniques, you will also achieve a sexy look, but with a far more natural effect.

Regardless of your choice of products, don’t be afraid to experiment in the privacy of your own home.

Got thirsty lips?

Moles naturally appear in the first year of life and are believed to be the result of a disorder in the development of the fetal cells. Women are prone to having more moles appear on their skin throughout the second or third decade of their life due to sunburns or as a result of pregnancy. The skin mole can range in color from light to dark brown, even black. The size and form can also vary. The single skin mole is referred to in medical terms as a nevus. The nevi (the plural for a nevus) can be in singular clusters or spread on the entire torso, arms and legs. The surface of the moles may be flat or raised. Some will sprout a few hairs, which is normal.

Skin Mole types

There are several skin mole types. The most common one is the lentigo, which is most often seen in people with dark skin. It is a dark circular mark with the size of a lentil bean and with a slightly elevated surface. Its color can be yellow-brown or dark brown. Usually it doesn’t sprout any hair.

Another type of skin mole is the cellular. It is a raised hemispherical formation, which is soft to touch with smooth or with a furrow pattern. The color can be the same as the skin, grayish or dark purple. The size can vary from that of a lentil bean to a cherry. This type of mole usually appears on the face and torso.

The blue nevus is a variant of a common mole. It appears mostly on the face in the shape of small lentil-like ganglions, which have a blue color and can be seen through the skin. The blue nevus is composed of melanocytes, the cells which produce the melanin pigment. This nevus gets its name from the distinct clinical appearance because of the pigmented cells within the dermis. It is benign and is usually more of a cosmetic problem.

The charm of the skin mole

Is a mole really a charm for luck, money and happiness – I don’t know – but in all cases a skin mole (especially on the face) can add some charm to the appearance of its owner. The rich and famous women are a living proof: Angelina Jolie has a mole right above her right eyebrow, Beyonce Knowles – next to her left eye, Cindy Crawford – left of her lips, Madonna – under her nostrils, Julia Roberts – under each one of her eyes, Scarlet Johanson – on her right cheek, Kim Cattrall – left below her lips and so on…

When does the skin mole pose a threat?

Skin moles can become a serious health problem if they turn into a malignant formation, known as melanoma. Although an individual’s risk for developing melanoma depends a great deal on their family history and inherited genes, the extreme exposure to ultraviolet (UVA) rays is one of the major contributors to the development of melanoma. The severe sunburns during childhood are the most risky ones.

The uncontrolled growth of the melanocytes leads to the formation of many cancerous cells that divide repeatedly at abnormal rates. They appear on the skin’s surface as dark brown or black flat moles. These should be observed carefully as the basic symptoms they can show are: bleeding, irregular form, change in size or color, itchiness or painfulness. Changes in a skin mole or multiple moles warrant immediate attention by a dermatologist.

Applying sun cream with a high UVA factor every time you expose parts of your body to the sun is strongly recommended as prophylactics.

In extremely rare cases the lentigo can develop as a malignant formation. The signs are enlargements of the mole and black coloration. Small circular marks appear around the mole and the skin becomes inflame. This is why moles should be avoided while shaving and they shouldn’t be scratched, hit or picked at.

Removal of skin moles

If you have a skin mole that meets any of the following criteria – change in size or form, irregular outlines, bleeding, irregular pigmentation or other unusual symptoms – the removal of that mole is mandatory.
Of course, you should always consult with a specialist who will determine whether the mole can be removed with a cut or if a more substantial surgical intervention will be needed.

Despite the fact that it is a widespread belief that the removal of skin moles is dangerous, this is not true at all. Their removal, if performed right, makes the skin smoother, cleaner and decreases the risk of irritations.

If a particular skin mole is causing you discomfort or you simply dislike it don’t hesitate to remove it. At the same time, emphasize the beauty marks you like by covering them with an eye pencil to make your individual beauty shine!

Skin Moles – charm or threat?

He doesn’t follow the conversations.

Sometimes women put too much emotion while talking about a daily situation at work and tend to go into too many details about how irritating and unfair certain things were. His reaction consists of nodding his head, pretending to be listening. As soon as you ask him “Are you listening to me?” you get the answer “Of course, you just said…” and then he repeats your last words that he has remembered. However, this doesn’t mean that he is following the conversation. You have to simply accept the fact that usually men have bigger things on their mind and are not interested in the gossips that you’re so eager to share with them.

He’s checking out other women.

You saw the way he eyed the cleavage of that foxy waitress and then discretely followed the curves of the chick right in front of you. Most of the times you choose to ignore it, but if you are in a bad mood, jealousy starts eating from the inside and quickly balloons into a scandal. The reaction that you get is usually a surprised look from him and the question “What is the matter with you? I accidentally looked into her! Would you want for me to just keep my eyes shut?” He will never admit that another woman is attractive in front of you, because he knows what your reaction will be. And so do you.

He forgot your anniversary.

If this happens and he hasn’t mentioned anything throughout the day, what usually follows is that you are going to start yelling at him for being so forgetful, which will result in his leaving and returning in the evening with a big bouquet and an expensive gift, saying something like “You didn’t think that I had forgotten our special day, did you? I wanted it to be a surprise”.

Men share much more than we do. Some even more. If you find out that he has talked with his buddies about moments of your intimate life, that will make you furious, but he will deny it has ever happened. You should keep in mind that you too share a lot of private details about your life with your girlfriends while claiming that you don’t. It seems that you’re even.

He doesn’t help with the housework.

If someday you decide to start a fight because he never helps around the house, he will think of, at least, 3 times that he has picked up the table, has washed the dishes or has vacuumed the apartment. And he did it for you! Wow, what an accomplishment! Almost all men believe that housework is restricted to women only, which is why they consider every ‘female’ work they’ve done as a compromise.

He falls asleep in front of the TV.

He is watching an interesting movie or a sports game. However, half way through it, it becomes apparent that he’s in the middle of his second dream. As soon as you reach for the remote to switch it off, he lifts his head and says “Don’t, I am watching that! No,I haven’t fallen asleep?!”

He’s not good at the “Man’s work”.

Not all men are good at fixing the oven or piece together the cabinet. However, all men claim that they can. Why? Simply because they’re certain that this is their field of expertise. Personally, I can think of several examples that prove that sometimes women are better at this than their male partners.

I am sure that you can think of numerous stories, where our strong partners don’t admit their flaws or errors. After all, they are the strong gender. There is no room for week streaks. At least not in their own eyes.

What causes dandruff?

Dandruff is caused by a type of fungus – Pityrosporum ovale. Upon a normal organism state is does not cause any problems.
However when the skin pH balance in the hairy part of the head is broken and the environment is alkalized, the fungus starts to breed faster and due to the more frequent change of skin cells it leads to peeling.
The cause of the accelerated fungus growth has not been found, but the most probable causes are increased fat secretion by the organism, hormonal disbalance, stress, different ill-conditions of the nervous system, suppressed immune system, oversensitivity to the fungus itself or even inherited susceptibility to dandruff. In rare cases dandruff can be a manifestation of an allergic reaction to some of the chemicals in hair gels, hair sprays, hair oils or other hair products.
Very few people know that there are two forms of dandruff – external and internal. External dandruff is caused by excessive use of hair products – sprays and gels, improper use of hair-coloring products, excessive use of hair curlers or hair straighteners,  cold weather, dry indoor heating, stress, infrequent shampooing of the hair or inadequate rinsing of the scalp.
