ABIELIA A Book Review!

Hey lovely readers!!

So todays post isn't gonna be a like all the other post I have done. In fact its not gonna be about beauty at all. In stead this is gonna be a book review! I have never been a huge book reader, but for some reason when I got my Kindle Fire a year ago things changed. I have been reading like crazy it seems like. I have been reading books that are paranormal romance, thrillers etc... So when I came across this book called ABIELIA I was intrigued. This is a Buffy meets Hellboy type of book.

From the back cover:
"Abielia was born and raised in Heaven. She tried to be good, but could not always control herself. Now, cast out from Heaven, Abielia finds herself exiled to Earth to live life as a mortal, to try to earn her way back home. Aided by a human ally named Myra, she will pit herself against the forces trying to block her path, both from human and supernatural sources. Will she be strong enough to once again feel Heaven's grace or will she fall under the Dark Lord's influences?"

This is a really great read. He describes the scenes and what's going on so well without leaving you confused or bored. I loved his characters too. My favorite is Myra. She is spunky,sassy, she is the one friend everyone needs in their life. Then you have Tommy, Myra's brother. He is a hoot, he is your typical red blooded american male! Then you have the main character Abielia, let me tell you she is BADASS (pardon the naughty word). She is fearless in every sense of the word, well mannered and when she wants to a good since of humor. Here is my favorite part from the book..

"Abi got up the next morning, and headed to the kitchen, dragging the hamper of laundry behind her, thinking, as it was Saturday, that they would be going to the laundromat later. Myra was already up, and was cradling a cup of coffee near her lips, as if she was about to take a sip, but forgot what she was doing. Her eyes were puffy and red, and Abi knew she had been crying.

When she heard Abi coming, she looked over to her and said'

“Sit down hon. Have some coffee and a danish. The laundry will wait. I think we need to talk.”

With her most heartfelt, human sigh, Abi let the laundry basket fall, and sat down across from Myra.

“While you were in getting your MRI, Dr. Shelton and I had a conversation. He told me that you do not have amnesia, and that you are hiding something. I've been getting this impression my self. Now, I need to know the truth. I need to know who you are, and what you are hiding. You know I love you, but if you can't be honest with me, then I don't know how we are to continue. I can help you with a lot of problems. If you are running from the law, I need to know that. If you are running from a husband, I need to know that too. I am willing to help in anyway I can, but if you can't come forward and trust me, then I'm afraid we will have to say good bye.”

Abi sat, with genuine tears in her eyes, trying to decide what to do. Of course, she did not need Myra's support to survive, but she felt that she did need a friend.

“You are right. I owe you at least that much,” she said as she stood from the table. “I apologize for any hurt I might cause. If you decide to get rid of me, I will understand.”

Here, she let her true form come through, revealing herself completely to Myra's astonished eyes. She rose to her full height, her head brushing the ceiling of the apartment. The talons on her hands and on her feet formed, a steely gray, their metallic hardness evident, no longer hidden. Her leather, dragon like wings spread, touching each wall, but still she did not have enough room to stretch them to their full length. The clothes she was wearing fell in shreds at her feet, as she stood before Myra, hiding nothing.

“This is who I am. Am am an Angel cast out from Heaven. I have chosen to come here to better myself, and hopefully regain my place. I am sorry I had to lie to you, and I ask that you can find it within you to forgive me.”

I really liked this book, it's a great read and defiantly worth it. I laughed and I cried. There were some touching moments that I could really relate to. For me, the characters came alive. If you like fantasy stories, or even stories with a religious background, you should really check this out.

I personally liked the pencil liner the best. The gel didn't seem to want to work with me, I couldn't get it to go on very well, I had to use a few coats just to get it to look good. The liquid eye liner is long lasting and dry with in seconds, but is also really hard to remove so make sure you use and oil eye remover for this one. To day I have a guest post for you by my sister Wendy!

I was asked by my sister to review some products for her blog, I was so happy to do so. The products are from Parnevu Hair care which at the time knew nothing about. My hair is dry and semi course, wavy and thick (very thick). So I am always up for new products. The products I received were, the Tea Tree shampoo, the After Shampoo Conditioner and the Hair Mayonnaise.

T-Tree Shampoo, first impression were…WOW this smells soo good, not the typical tea tree medicine smell but a nice fresh, earthy, aroma. When I first stared using this as daily shampoo, it was like most others when I switch products… a nice change, but by weeks end it left my hair flat, heavy and a bit oily to be honest…this was not my favorite of the bunch.

After Shampoo Conditioner, Ok I’ll come right out and say it…..I LOVED IT 100%, the aroma was so nice and fresh, floral, and well just plain lovely! It worked wonders on my hair, it was soft and silky and very light it gave me so nice body that was unexpected. While I used this product I had the best hair month in half! In fact I had to stop using it….why? I did not want to use it all up..lol I still have a little bit left, I only use it when I am going somewhere when I want my hair to look , feel and smell, it best! LOVED this conditioner so much that if I can I will by a case at some point!

Hair Mayonnaise, Once again fist impression were HELLO the aroma of this deep treatment conditioner were FAB-YO-LUS!! To be honest it is like the aroma of carrot cake!! I loved this the first couple of times I tried it. However after a while it made my hair heavy, limp, and flat. I thought, “ok maybe I am using to much for the length of the hair ( at the time it was very, very short) so I back off the amount I had been using by half. Still to no avail the out come was the same, sooo I backed of even more…nope still nothing, still the same heavy limp, flat hair. I still have quite a bit of this left, I love the smell sooo much that I am still not quite ready to give up just yet…..

Pretty neat huh? I think this is a great idea. It doesn't take up much space if you want to leave it out all the time, or it folds up for great storage.The only problem, if you even want to call it a problem, is that your eye and lip brushes go to the side and don't stay up straight. Using this brush tree, there isn't a chance of getting water in the farrel, and it took my brushes about 5 to 6 hrs to dry. I love H2O Plus products the only one in this set that I didn't care for was the body scub and that is only because I'm not a big fan of body scubs. I loved this set. I can't pick just one that I like above the rest BUT I do like the aquatics,the natural spring and the clear water ones they are the most clean scented ones. So if you like the fresh clean smell these are it. If you like fruit scented shower gels then the other ones are for you!

Pure Moroccan Argan Oil By Argania 1640

How many of you use Argan Oil in your every day beauty routine? I have been obsessed with this stuff lately it seems like. I have tried all kinds of products with Argan oil in them and have loved them. Once in a while off and on I will use Argan oil by its self. I have to admit though that with having oil/acne prone skin I have been very hesitant to use the straight oil on my skin. So when I got the opportunity to try out this product I figured why not I need to suck it up and try it on my skin to see if it would really help my skin.

Now if you are wondering who the heck is Argania 1640 I will tell you a little bit about the company.

Are you asking why 1640? Well it takes 16 hours of labor and 40 kilograms of fruit to produce a single liter of Argan oil. Thus, Argania 1640.

I have the 15ml one and I don't use it every day. I use it anywhere from 1 to 3 times a week depending on my skin and hair and more in the winter time. Aside from using it by itself at times, I also use it in my day time and night time moisturizers and hair conditioner,and I also use it when I do my nails. The oil is packaged in special brown bottles that keep the liquid from experiencing any degradation from light or sun exposure. They equip their bottles with droppers that make the process of correctly applying the oil easy and precise. The oil is shipped in post-consumer recycled cardboard boxes, each marked with their signature red stamped logo.

Her primers reduces fine lines and even help fill in my pores and acne scars that I have. I have a few products that I am gonna show and talk about. As I have said before with the acne that I have and scars from that this is a great concealer for me. It covers exactly where I need it too. It doesn't give a greasy or caked on feel to it either .It conditions and hydrates your skin. You get a lot of product packed in a tiny tube and a little goes along way!
