Strawberry-Banana Smoothie

I LOVE frozen yogurt places and if I could I would get frozen yogurt or Smoothies all the time but unfortunately a $5 treat can't become a daily habit. So I figured that I could just make my own Smoothie since I have the ingredients most of the time anyways. It is a fast snack and you can basically mix up whatever you have home.

I love to take my smoothie on the go and have it on my way to school.

Here's my recipe in case you are interested .

2 Bananas

1 Cup frozen Strawberries (you can use any frozen fruit you like)

1/2 tbsp Peanut Butter

2 tbsp plain yogurt (I used low fat yogurt)

1 cup milk (you can use any kind of milk)

Blender (I use this Blender)

Blend milk, fruit, yogurt and peanut butter. Add more milk if needed.

Pour into glass and enjoy! You can slice up additional bananas and add them on top of the smoothie

This is my last choice of how you can style the Spring trend. I think the pastel colors are great for everyone and if you are a little more adventurous, mix pastel colors with some bright colors.

I am one of those people who never wears a watch. I have a cute watch but I just feel like I'm not a "watch-person". Some people might think an outfit is not complete without a pretty watch but I'd rather pick a nice bracelet. My opinion might change because I've recently came across the beautiful La Mer watches. I love the mix of watch and charm bracelet and one of those is definitely on my wishlist. They offer a wide variety and you can also customize your own watch. Here are some of my favorites

Would you wear it? Dramatic Red Lipstick for Spring 2012

The third Spring 2012 trend in my "Would you wear it?" series is, in my opinion the most wearable trend. Actually it's not really new but designers reinvented the color and show that there are endless ways to wear a dramatic red.

Red lipstick works for any skin type and hair color and there is all different kind of shades and finishes. My current favorite is MAC's Morange which is great for day and night.

Since I've found my love for Sigma Brushes I did not stop using them and decided to order another set. Sigma has so many choices that it's difficult to make a dicision. Would you wear it? Candy themed Makeup & Pastels for Spring 2012

My last posting about an upcoming trend for Spring 2012 was rather unusual but I think this one is definitely wearable. Designers like Marc Jacobs, Luis Vuitton or Mulberry have already shown this look in their shows and upcoming adds and I think this trend is not just for the Runways. The colors get me excited for the nicer and brighter days.

Dress for less: Whitney Port

I used to watch MTV's "The Hills" and "The City" and one of my favorite girls on the shows was Whitney Port. I love her style and I think she has a great style, at least most of the time. I picked a couple of her styles and want to show how you could dress like Whitney on a budget.

Birchbox January 2012

I hope you had a great weekend and got the chance to do some fun stuff.

As I mentioned in my December post, I wasn't too happy with my Birchbox. The products were tiny and I would probably say the worst samples I've received in my boxes. So I thought New Year, new luck and I can say that I definitely like this month' products a lot better.

Paris vs. New York

I recently came across the Parisian graphic designer Vahram Muratyan and his beautiful work. After a New York City visit he created "Paris vs. New York". It's a travel journal where he compares his unique observation of the two brilliant cities.
I was able to visit Paris last year. The city is really nice and I hope I can go back sometime. NYC on the other side is my all time favorite city so I can't decide which one is better.

I recently came across some Beauty and Style tips for Spring 2012 and bright Eyeshadow was one of the Trends. I like to brighten up my Makeup sometimes but I am not sure if I would follow this trend.
The looks were seen at Shows from Miu Mio, Rebecca Taylor and Richard Taylor. As we all know Runway looks are usually over the top but are bright Eye makeups wearable?

Even though we're almost 2 weeks into the new year, I've wanted to share my 2011 Favorites. I have used many other products throughout the year but those have become my go-to products.

Sigma complete Brush Set Review & Coupon Code

As mentioned in an older post, I've ordered the Sigma Complete Kit in December. I've always heard good things about Sigma's products and even though I have a couple of make up brushes (mostly Drugstore brands) I've decided to invest in some better ones. I never got into MAC brushes and honestly never even thought of spending that much money.

Sigma Brushes are not available in stores but they have a great online store. The website is very easy too navigate and you are able to get a very close view of the brushes. They only have a US website but they ship internationally.

I didn't order the Brush roll that Sigma offers just because I don't think I would necessarily need it. The shipping was very fast (ordered on 12/21 - delivered 12/24) and the Brushes came in a cute little bag that I'm still using to carry them around.

I've been using the brushes almost every day so far and made my first impressions.

My favorite brushes are the Foundation Brush, Blending Brush, Large Shader Brush, Concealer Brush, Pencil Brush and the Eye Shading Brush. My least favorite ones are the Powder Brush and the the Duo Fibre Brush. I love the size of the Powder Brush and that the Duo Fibre Brush blends in the Make up very well but I just don't like the shedding.

Overall I would definitely recommend the brushes. As I said, I don't have the comparison to MAC Brushes but I've heard many people favoring the Sigma Brushes and not just because of the price.
