Description: Waiting for your purchase is this lovely leaf shaped dish from LEFTON CHINA. This elegant dish is trimmed around the edge in real gold. In center is a design of 2 pink cabbage roses, some blue flowers, and two butterflies, one on each side of the design. The butterflies and some of the flowers are lilac colored. Leaves are green and brownish green. On bottom is the full Lefton crown mark and the number 759. It says this piece was hand-painted. The high quality porcelain material has a satiny feel to it. The dish is large enough to use for a candy dish, but it is better as an accent piece. It is in perfect condition.

The figure is hand-painted and shows fine detail in the work. He looks like a realistic blue jay just like the ones I see on my backyard feeder! He perches on an oak branch. Green leaves are shown and look just like oak leaves. Three acorns add to the detail. The full maker's mark is on the bottom of the piece, and it also has a red and gold paper sticker. Description: Waiting for your purchase is this lovely Grecian-look plate with a camel design. The plate was made in China, I believe. There are no maker's marks or stickers, only some blue oriental marks that I can't read. The primary colors are blue, white, and an orangey red. The plate is made of a nice porcelain type material and well-glazed, back and front. A warrior with his spear looks back as a yipping dog nips at the heels of his two-hump dromedary or camel. The eye is relieved and drawn into the design by the wide orangey red inner border. The back has two thin blue lines. A couple of small areas have smudgy looks, but this is under the glaze and was done by the artist. This is a pretty plate for your wall and a must-have for the camel collector!

Measurement: The plate measures almost 10 1/2 inches across and is 1 1/2 inches deep. It could be considered a shallow bowl

It was made in England. On front in the center is a transfer design done in blue and white that depicts a house with a white picket fence in front. This is the Sibley House and the plate commemorates its centennial. The Sibley House was acquired by the St. Paul, Minnesota chapter of the D.A.R. in 1910 and used as an historical museum. General Henry Hastings Sibley was the first governor of Minnesota and a partner in the American Fur Company. He built Sibley House in 1835 and was a Delegate to Congress in 1849 from Minnesota Territory. He is considered a pioneer of Minnesota. This history is printed on the back of the plate, and there is a representation of his signature. On back also is the Wedgwood mark. Another mark is impressed into the back, but I cannot read it because of the heavy glaze. On front, the plate is edged with a rope-like rim. A wide border is ribbed or gadrooned. This is a terrific plate for the Wedgwood collector or the blue and white collector. It is especially important is you are in DAR or from Minnesota. It is in perfect condition.

Measurement: The plate measures 10 1/2 inches diameter (across)

I can't seem to find what the pattern name is, but if you are looking for this one, you will quickly recognize it! I have seen it called "ADA9", but that is probably not the Adams name for it. The gravy boat is made in the classic, older shape of the Adams gravies. It is white except for decoration. Around the rims of the boat and the plate is a wide green band. Around the middle of the boat and the middle of the plate is a very thin line of yellow. 3 green leaves are painted on the handle top. Inside the boat, on one side, is a design of yellow and green flowers and green leaves. I believe these flowers are tulips. The design has a hand-painted look to it. On the very bottom of the dish is the Adams mark, stamped in black. It is in excellent vintage condition

Measurement: The underdish is about 7 1/4 inches long by 5 3/4 inches wide. Gravy is 8 inches long from tip of spout to back of handle, and it measures almost 3 inches wide. The dish stands 5 inches tall at the highest point.

Condition: EXCELLENT----NO CHIPS, CRACKS, CRAZING, OR REPAIRS. It is in super condition---doesn't even look used. Has a small black speck on inside, near the design, but this was under the glaze and done at the time of manufacture. You can see this in the photos.

This is a beautiful puzzle to add to a collection or just to have on hand for that quiet evening or weekend. It is in excellent used condition.

The design of the pin is pleasing. The spread of the wings is balanced by the width of the skirt hem. The angel's uplifted gaze and halo seem to give the piece a sense of extra height. Description: Waiting for your purchase is this gorgeous vintage scarf from OSCAR DE LA RENTA. There is no maker's tag, but the signature is in one lower corner. I am assuming that the material is silk. It has a soft, silky feel and is certainly designer quality. A fabulous floral design shows off pansies and other flowers in a tropical, warm, peachy color palette. The scarf would be great, too, for late fall. The narrow border that frames the design is an orangey pumpkin color. The edges appear to be hand rolled and stitched. This is a lovely, lovely scarf you will want for your wardrobe or vintage designer scarf collection!

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this lovely pottery pitcher from Germany. It has an elegant design, traditional elements meshed with modern! It could fit into almost any decor. The body of the pitcher is a grayish color, but warm brown glaze has been applied around the lip rim. This has trickled down inside giving a pleasing finish and has speckled around the bulbous part of the outside of the pitcher and gently run down into a nice little "necklace" of soft color. The ball-shaped belly of the vessel gives way to a rounded pedestal foot, which is quite dark in color. The applied handle is rope shaped. On the very bottom of the pitcher, the numbers "423" are incised under the glaze. The words "made in Germany" are stamped on, but very faintly. They are only seen when the pitcher is turned a certain way. They may say "made in W. Germany", but I cannot truthfully make out the possible W, so I am just calling this a German pitcher. The unglazed clay on the bottom has a nice aged patina. I tend to think this piece is early 20th century, but I cannot be sure. It is in excellent condition and would make a wonderful addition to your decor.

Measurement: The pitcher stands 7 1/2 inches tall. It measures 3 1/4 inches across the very bottom of the foot. It measures almost 6 inches from tip of spout to back of handle.

Condition: EXCELLENT----no chips or repairs---has 2 dark holes, very tiny, that are where the glaze bubbles popped after or during firing the piece. These are expected in pottery and are not damages, since they often happen. One is on the back of the piece, near the handle, and the other is under the handle and is not noticeable. Overall beautiful vintage condition!

Brown Bag Cookie Mold, Blue Trinket Box, and The Far Side Mug ~ Sept. 7th

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this wonderful cookie mold or press from BROWN BAG COOKIE ART. This one is called FOUR HEARTS. The name and maker's mark are impressed into the back of the mold. It was released for 1994. It is a HILL DESIGN. The 4 hearts are sections with different flowers in them.......one is a lily of the valley and another is a tulip. The other two I don't recognize, but the 4 probably represent the seasons. The mold is made of a taupe-colored clay material and has a slightly rough feeling texture. It has gently rounded edges and the mold is itself a floral shape. There is a hole in the top for hanging. Molds of this type are charming hung in a kitchen. This once had a recipe attached, but that is not present now. The mold is in excellent condition with no chips. I understand this one is relatively hard to find now. It would lovely in your kitchen as decor or as a useful item for pressing out shortbread or cookie dough, or both!

Measurement: This mold measures 6 inches across at the widest parts.

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this charming Christmas Santa mug from GARY LARSON, creator of THE FAR SIDE cartoon. This rare, hard to find mug was made in 1994. We see a colorful panel depicted twice, one on each side of the mug, that shows Santa in his underwear (really more of Santa than we need to see!) facing his closet. Several red Santa suits are lined up, but among them is one BLUE one. Santa thinks to himself "MAYBE THIS IS THE YEAR." Hats are lined up on the closet's top shelf, and there is a blue one to match the suit. He is debating whether or not to shake things up and wear a different colored suit this year. Santa's large toy bag can be seen in the foreground. Except for the colorful panels, the mug is a nice dark Christmas green inside and out. The full maker's mark is on the bottom of the mug, done in white lettering. There is a large, squared ear handle that will allow 4 fingers. The mug is large, too. I am guessing that it will hold about 10 ounces. Mr. Larson's cartoons are always amusing and usually have slightly wacky characters doing strange things. If you are a "Far Side" collector, this is a mug you don't want to miss! It is in perfect condition and has never been used.

I couldn't find too much information on Cathrine Holm, but apparently it is a now-closed ironworks in Norway. A lady named Grete Prytz Korsmo is said to be the designer of the line. The bowl possibly dates to the 1970's, although the line is said to be "mid-century". This lovely bowl is 8 inches diameter across the top. It is a reddish-orangey color with white leaf or petal design. (The big white area inside the bowl in the picture is just camera flash glare. It is not on the bowl in reality.) The bowl is made of metal with an enamel coating. On the bottom is a faint circular mark (see photo), but it is difficult to make out. Description: Waiting for your purchase is this lovely old oval serving dish. It is marked "Germany" in red on the very bottom and also has the number "23" under that. This number probably doesn't refer to a year, but to a pattern or even to the person who decorated it. I believe this dish to date to the early 1900's or late 1800's. The McKinley Tariff Act of 1891 said all things imported into the USA had to have the name of the country of origin on them. This dish is similar in shape and style to the famous RS Prussia or RS Germany dishes. It is is possible that it is one of these. The dish is what I would call a slimline oval, with pierced handles at the long ends. There is a gentle scallop to the sides of the dish and some ribbing inside. There is some gold trim around the piercings, but it is mostly rubbed away. There is a transfer design of vintage red and yellow cabbage roses along the bottom inner edges of the dish. A swash of reddish browl color goes around the top edge and sides of the dish, fading to a gentle beige inside. One side of the dish has darker color than the other. This is a beautiful old piece--just right for the "shabby" or romantic decor. The dish is in very good condition with no chips or cracks, but it does have some places where the color is worn. This is what you'd expect to find in a dish of this vintage, and, to me, adds to its charm.***You may buy from my shop with confidence. VINTAGE TALL GREEN GLASS ANCHOR HOCKING PITCHER ~FLOWERS~2 QT

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this lovely vintage avocado green glass pitcher from Anchor Hocking. The pitcher has a very faint anchor mark on bottom and the letters USA. I am guessing that the pitcher dates to the 1970's. The pitcher is tall and graceful. It bulges out just above the base because a series of raised flowers and leaves puff out from the vessel. I want to say the flowers are sunflowers, but maybe not. They also look like several other kinds of flowers. The body and handle of the pitcher have a bumpy texture, while the flowers and lip are smooth. The pitcher is in perfect condition with no chips or cracks. Imagine a big pitcher of margaritas or even sweet iced tea! It is such a pretty addition to your table.

Measurement: 10 inches tall - 4 1/2 inches across the opening at the top--4 inches across the base--it holds 2 quarts (half a gallon)

NIPPON VINTAGE CREAMER ~WHITE WITH GOLD~HAND PAINTED~JAPAN~GORGEOUS~ c1891-1921

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this gorgeous small creamer from NIPPON. It is made of a fine porcelain material (probably bone china) and hand painted with gold. The person who painted this creamer was very skilled. The design is quite intricate. It required for the paint to be applied thickly in areas that were to have a raised feeling. The gold trim goes around the rim of the creamer and appears to be a vine. If you look very closely, you can see the individual leaves of the vine and see that they do differ slightly. So, yes, this is hand painted and NOT a transfer. Gold trim goes down the handle, but this has been applied a bit more sloppily, perhaps by a different person. A leaf, scroll, vine design wraps around the neck of the creamer and each side has a crisscross "window". Even the underside of the spout has a bit of gold vine. The gold design is almost imperial in style. On the very bottom of the creamer is the maker's mark, stamped in blue, which says "NIPPON" and "HAND PAINTED". These words are separated by a circle with sections inside it. The McKinley Tariff Act of 1891 required all incoming imports to have the country of origin on them. Many items from Japan used the NIPPON word from this time until 1921, when the US required that the word "Japan" be used instead of the Japanese word "Nippon", which meant the same thing. So, this lovely vintage piece was made between the years 1891 and 1921. This beautiful, regal item would be an asset to any Nippon collection. It is in excellent condition.

Measurement: The creamer stands 2 1/2 inches tall. It measures 3 3/4 inches from tip of spout to back of handle across the top and about 2 1/2 inches across the opening.

VINTAGE SIGNED ITALY BRAYING DONKEY AND CART PLANTER ~ HAND PAINTED~OLD~COLORFUL~LARGE

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this wonderful vintage donkey and cart planter or candy dish. The figural planter was made of pottery and hand painted in bright colors in Italy. It is signed Italy on the bottom. This planter is a charmer because the donkey is braying! He is letting his displeasure at pulling the heavy cart be known. Most donkey carts have the donkey just plodding along, head down. So, I like this one's spirit! Donkey is gray and white, and his hooves are black. His mouth is painted a bright pink and his eyes are an angry yellow. The cart has blue wheels, highlighted in red. The cart itself is white and painted with a flower and cactus design on the sides. It has a sponged or dabbed aqua or teal blue color on the inside, and it is trimmed in an orangey color around the rim. The side pieces that attach to the donkey are light blue with darker blue zigzag designs. The strap across his back is magenta. Edges of the cart are a lemon yellow.I would date this piece to mid century probably. The planter is in exceptional condition for a piece of this kind, although it does have some tiny chips. There aren't many, just a couple on the hooves and another on the cart corner and two very tiny ones on the ends of the cart sides. None of these is really noticeable. I didn't even realize they were there, myself, until I began to check it closely for this description. I am surprised that there aren't more, considering its age and type. Most Italian pottery that I've seen has numberous chips and seems to have a tendency to do so easily. This piece has several rough spots, sharp areas, bumps, etc. under the glaze so I believe the pottery is not smoothed out before it is painted and glazed. These seem to be characteristic of the Italian pottery I've seen of this era. If you collect Italian pottery or donkey items, I believe you will be very happy with this item.

Measurement: 10 inches long---------6 1/2 inches tall -------4 1/2 inches wide------------quite heavy--weighs about 4 pounds

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this wonderful vintage WORLD CLASSIC REPLOGLE GLOBE. The globe is 12 inches in diameter. The cartographer was LeRoy M. Tolman. This is a very nice globe with a great vintage look to it. The mountains are raised so you can actually feel the Rockies or the Andes! The colors are pretty, too, with pinks, blues, light purples, yellows, and greens. The oceans are shown as a creamy off white vintage-look color. The globe is not dated, but Russia is still listed as the USSR, so the globe must predate the 90's, at least. The central African area is still shown as Zaire, and there is no Dem. Republic of the Congo. Myanmar is still listed as Burma. The globe has markers so you may discover what time it is anywhere around the world. The globe can revolve as well as be turned upside down. It pivots on a full metal base, which has a bronze-look to it. There does not seem to be any rust on the metal.

This is a great globe for the student or for the collector. It would look fabulous on a shelf in a vintage collection!

NOTE: Whitish spots seen in the photos are camera or light glare. They are NOT on the globe itself.

Measurement: The globe is 12 inches in diameter. It is approximately 16 inches tall. The base measures almost 8 inches across.

Condition: Generally, I'd say the globe is in very, very good to great vintage condition. There is a very small scrape in the area of Scotland, about a quarter of an inch or less. Other than this, I can find no other problems. There is no rust on the base. The globe spins properly. The globe colors are bright and unfaded. Very nice condition!

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this lovely 750 piece jigsaw puzzle from CEACO, by the artist, RUBEN BORE, called L'AUTOMNE A PARIS, roughly translated as "autumn in Paris". The puzzle has ALL ITS PIECES .........it is COMPLETE. We see a vibrant Paris street scene, minus the inhabitants. Sunlight illuminates one side of the street, while the other remains in shadows. Striped awnings catch the autumn leaves. A lone bicycle is parked in front of a restaurant, while across the street is a flower seller's cart. In the valley made by the buildings, we see a deep blue autumn sky. The day looks warm with just a hint of chill in the air. Our eye is drawn into the picture and travels down the street, where we wonder what delights await us just around the next corner. The picture is lively, even without people in it! The only people are shown in ads on the buildings for chocolat and a revue. The scene reminds me of an old Western set where all the inhabitants have hidden inside to escape the showdown of two gunmen. Artist Bore was born in Tashkent and currently resides in Paris, according to the biography on the back of the box. His love for the city is reflected in this stunning work. The puzzle is colorful and fun to work. It would make a great addition to your collection or just a nice puzzle for that quiet weekend or evening. It will give you many hours of puzzling pleasure!

In the photo by Carol Hale and Phil Smith, we see a vanity dresser top filled with vintage perfume bottles, atomizers, what appear to be some Fenton dishes, a dresser tray with lace hanky and porcelain box, a brush, comb, and a rope necklace. In the background is a pretty, ornate beveled glass mirror in gold frame. Cabbage or shabby roses are seen on the wallpaper. This puzzle is fun to work and lovely when done. It is slightly difficult to press the pieces together, but they fit well and do not come apart as you work. The pieces have a various range of size. The puzzle is probably suitable for ages 12 through adults. It is a must-have for the collector of vintage Springbok puzzles or of vanity dresser items or vintage perfume bottles. Springbok puzzles are very collectible now, and this is a beauty.

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this gorgeous jigsaw puzzle from THE GREAT AMERICAN PUZZLE FACTORY, called REVELATION, and painted by SHEILA WOLK. The puzzle contains 1000 pieces, and they ARE ALL HERE, IT IS COMPLETE. The pieces are all fully interlocking and average piece size is 1 1/4 x 3/4 inches. This is a beautiful puzzle, especially for those who love butterflies. The picture shows a very pale woman, caught somewhere between fantasy and reality, clad in gauzy material, who may be either an angel or a giant butterfly herself, noting her feathery wings. Around her figure, bright butterflies, in hues of yellow, red, blue, orange, flutter. Stark black and white ones add a feeling of reality. This puzzle was fun to work, although a bit challenging because of the similarity of colors and patterns in the lady and also in the butterflies. It is a very nice one that you will want for your collection or just for that quiet afternoon or weekend.

Description:Waiting for your purchase is this lovely jigsaw puzzle by the artist, JOHN O'BRIEN, called "ADMIRING HER ART". The puzzle contains 500 pieces, and they are ALL HERE--it is COMPLETE. The pieces are fully interlocking and average 1 1/4 inch by 3/4 inches in size. Here we see a beautiful Victorian parlor interior, where in the extreme top right, a young girl is holding up a painting, "admiring her art". Other paintings line the walls as well. This picture shows terrific detail......a border along the ceiling, tassels on the window treatments, flowers in vases around the room, statuary, floral patterns in the rug, upholstery, and lace table cover. A real dog lies beneath one in the painting over the fireplace. It is a lively, yet calming scene, one rich in detail. You will enjoy working this one. I thought it was going to be easy at first, and even thought it was too small to have the 500 pieces, but THEY ARE ALL HERE. It is a 500 piece puzzle that works like a 1000 piece one! It will give you many hours of puzzling fun. John O'Brien was a noted artist, especially of Irish and Parisian scenes, who died in 2004. If this puzzle is any indication of his work, he left us some beautiful pictures! You will want it for your collection. The puzzle was MADE IN THE USA, too.

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this wonderful jigsaw puzzle from USAopoly featuring the #116 episode from the "I LOVE LUCY" television show, which aired on February 21, 1955, called "Lucy Gets in Pictures". The puzzle contains 500 pieces, and they are ALL HERE--the puzzle is COMPLETE. This is a very high quality puzzle, as you can tell from its novel packaging.........in a heavy, sturdy, round hatbox. Sides of the box are pink and show details from the main photo on top of the lid. A black band with white polka dots goes around the edge of the lid, and a real nylon-type cord serves as a handle for the hatbox. On top, we see a colorful scene of Lucy, shown in a bright pink showgirl outfit, having problems with her headdress, which is so heavy it is making her descent on the stairs impossible. Other showgirls are nearby, dressed in purple and blue, that make this a very colorful puzzle, indeed. The pieces of the puzzle are fully interlocking and are very thick and strong, high quality, not flimsy. They are slightly larger than those in average puzzles, too. If you are a Lucy fan (and who isn't?), you will certainly just have to have this puzzle! It is a must-have for a Lucy collection, too.

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this wonderful set of four (4) historical collectible drinking glasses, each featuring a colorful depiction of a UNITED STATES MARINE. The glasses are clear glass and have thick, weighty bottoms. There is no maker's mark that I can find. The glasses show the costumes worn by the marines at different periods of our history. First is the year 1775, when the American colonies fought England for their independence, and shows a private in the continental marines. He wears white kneebritches and a green coat. He seems to be carrying a wooden mug of ale or beer. The next year is 1812, when the US and England were at war again, and shows a lieutenant of marines. He is wearing high black boots, white britches, and a blue coat with yellow epaulets. A red sash is at his waist and he wears a black hat with red feather. He, too, is holding up a mug of beverage. Third is the year 1880 and shows a colonel of marines. He wears a bright blue coat with yellow epaulets at the shoulders, white pants, and a black cap with red feather. He toasts us with a glass of red beverage. Last we have the year 1917 with a captain of marines. He has on a green cap and uniform and is holding a glass of what appears to be beer. I believe these glasses might have been offered as fast-food collectibles, and there were probably more years represented. These 4 glasses are really cute and would make great additions to your home bar or military collection.

Measurement: Glasses stand 5 1/2 inches tall and measure 2 3/4 inches across the top.

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this wonderful milk glass mug, manufactured by GLASBAKE, expressly for the American Bicentennial in 1976 that commemorated 200 years of our history as a nation. We've traveled ahead in time far enough now that bicentennial items are beginning to be hard to find and that will increase as time goes by (don't you wish you had items from our CENTENNIAL back in 1876????). This mug is made of a pearly white glass and is decorated on each side with a red and blue design, allowing the white to show through and become a true red-white-and blue design. There is a red and white striped, blue crested shield in the background, over which we see an eagle, the American symbol, with its wings outstretched. Its feet or talons clutch arrows in one, symbolizing war, and an olive branch in the other, symbolizing peace. The word "bicentennial" in blue lettering is over the shield, and the dates 1776 and 1976 flank the eagle design, as do blue stars. The squared ear handle is large enough for 3 fingers. The full Glasbake mark is on the bottom of the mug. The mug is in excellent condition with no chips or dings. On one side of the mug, the dates have some issues. Since this method of decorating is known as pyro, meaning fired on, I don't believe these missing areas on the dates are due to wear. I believe this was done during the time of manufacture. You cannot scrape the paint off, as it is actually fired onto the glass. These small "boo-boos" are on one side only and are barely noticeable, but I did want to mention it. This is a great item for this historical collector!

~ Some Treasures For Today Jan. 12th ~

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this wonderful vintage bean pot from WESTERN STONEWARE CO. Monmouth Pottery in Monmouth, Illinois is one of 7 small companies that merged in 1907 into what became Western Stoneware Co. This company was in business from 1906 until 1985. In 1967 it began producing "mojavi", a heavy duty set of dishware which was labeled with a maple leaf and a USA mark. This bean pot has those marks on bottom (see photo). Production on this line ceased in 1975, so this bean pot was made during that 8 year period. This bean pot is what I would call "beans for two" sized. It would hold a large can of baked beans. It has its original lid and features a very dark brown top portion with two small opposing handles. The lower half is a creamy color and features a very long horned steer head over several different cattle brands. The first brand reads "bar B Q". Other brands look like a "T", a KK, a double-bar T, and a wavy W. This bean pot would be terrific in a Western-themed decor, especially cute as a sugar bowl or small candy jar, perhaps. It is in perfect condition.

Measurement: almost 5 inches tall, 6 inches across at the handles, just under 4 inches across on the bottom

The mug is made of a quality porcelain material. It is white inside, except for the design of a small teapot on one side. The handle is broad enough to accomodate 3 large or 4 small fingers. Description: Waiting for your purchase is this lovely plate, probably a cheese plate, from Limoges Porcelain. The plate measures 8.25 inches in diameter. It is white with a colorful center transfer design of a blue and white checked tablecloth, set with a pitcher and glass of beverage, an apple, a loaf of bread, and some cheeses, plus a cheese knife. On back there is a mark that says Porcelaine de LOLOGNE. Then a French horn with "made in France" inside the handle; and finally the words "PORCELAINE DE LIMOGES FRANCE". The plate is in perfect condition. It would be a lovely addition to your table or a cheery decor plate on your kitchen wall.

Measurement: The plate measures 8 1/4 inches in diameter, across.

It is white except for the delicate decoration of a wisteria vine, with light purple flowers and green leaves, that winds around the upper body of the pitcher. The pitcher has a pleasing shape with a swirled pattern that sweeps diagonally around. There is a stylized ear handle that allows a secure hold with 3 fingers. Description: Waiting for your purchase is this lovely LEFTON bird figurine. This is a BLUE JAY. The figurine was issued in 1991 and is made of a fine porcelain material. The figure is hand-painted and shows fine detail in the work. He looks like a realistic blue jay just like the ones I see on my backyard feeder! He perches on an oak branch. Green leaves are shown and look just like oak leaves. Three acorns add to the detail. The full maker's mark is on the bottom of the piece, and it also has a red and gold paper sticker. This bird is number 00242 and is one of the NEST EGG COLLECTION. This figurine is in perfect condition. It will fit right in your collection or will make a perfect gift for that bird lover on your list.

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this lovely collectible FENTON bell. This piece has been hand painted by B. Cumberledge. Fenton has recently gone out of business, making their beautiful glass products even more highly collectible and sought after. Ms. Cumberledge had retired from Fenton much earlier, so this bell is vintage. It only has a paper Fenton sticker inside, not the raised Fenton mark, so this item is older. The bell is made of a whitish, pale pink glass, with traces of darker pink around the base and at the top of the handle. On back and front, Ms. Cumberledge has painted delicate dark pink roses with ribbons and raised white dots. Only a tiny rosebud is painted on the opposing sides. A clear glass clapper is suspended inside from a silver metal chain. The clapper makes a nice bell sound. Around the inside bottom, it says "Hand Painted by B. Cumberledge", painted on in the same dark pink or reddish paint used for the roses. This is a lovely example of Fenton glass workmanship, from glass maker to design painter. It is a must for any Fenton collection and is in perfect condition.

Measurement: Bell stands 7 inches tall, and it measures 3 1/2 inches across the flared base.

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this lovely 3- piece place setting of BETSY ROSE, by HARMONY HOUSE. Harmony House was sold through Sears, Roebuck, and Co. beginning in 1952 and continuing through the 1950's. This beautiful pattern features a single, long-stemmed, pink-to-red rose with dark green leaves. The pattern is quite simple, yet very elegant, as well. It would fit right into a shabby decor and would be perfect for the rose collector. Betsy Rose was known as pattern #4689, and it was manufactured by a number of potteries. Among them were Hall China Co., Homer Laughlin, Salem China, Taylor-Smith-Taylor, and others. It was even possible to have pieces of one set made by different makers. Although they all use the same pattern, there are subtle differences in the quality and feel of the pottery. I believe this plate and saucer were made by Hall, because of their high quality and shinier glaze. The cup is probably by another of the companies. Its glaze is a little duller, and it is unglazed around the bottom rim, so that you can feel the pottery material. The cup has the rose design on one side outside, and it has a smaller "rosebud" on the opposite, inner side. The 3 -piece set includes a cup, saucer, and dinner plate. This is a wonderful opportunity to add to your set or to find replacements. Betsy Rose is a very popular pattern and is getting harder and harder to find, especially in this excellent condition. Saucer and dinner plate have the full maker's mark on the bottom, done in gold.

Measurement: CUP measures 2 1/4 inches tall and it is 4 inches wide across the top. SAUCER measures 6 1/4 inches in diameter (across). PLATE measures just a little under 10 inches diameter (across).

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this wonderful 3- piece mixing bowl set by T G GREEN POTTERY in England. T G Green Pottery is famous for its CORNISHWARE, stylish pottery for the kitchen, decorated in alternating blue and white bands with black lettering on spice jars, etc. It is highly collectible and valued. Here we have a fine set of mixing bowls that will enhance any decor and will fit in perfectly with your Cornishware collection, too. The Thomas Goodwin Green Pottery Company began in England in 1861. It prospered for many years, but by 1964 it went into receivership. Many European and American pottery companies went under during this time, due to oriental imports and also the new use of plastic items. After 1964, other potteries carried on the Green name and continued to make fine table wares, but the pottery finally closed in 2007, making its products highly collectible and hard to find (quite rare really) on this side of the Atlantic. Each of these pieces has a different mark, but they all date to approximately the same time. One has the Judith onion mark, another the target mark.......dating it between 1968 -1975, and one has the pudding basin or modern church mark used in the late 1970's. Each bowl has a deep shape that gently tapers down towards the bottom. Each has a wide band near the top. The shape reminds me of a flower pot. The pottery is high quality and has a shiny glaze. It is a creamy bright white. This white will fit into any decor, modern or retro. It is the perfect background for or accessory to a collection of Cornishware.

Measurement: Large bowl stands 5 1/2 inches tall and measures 8 1/4 inches across the top opening. Medium bowl stands 4 1/4 inches tall and measures 6 1/2 inches across the top opening. Small bowl stands almost 3 1/2 inches tall and measures 5 1/2 inches across the top opening.

Condition: EXCELLENT----no chips or cracks or crazing---middle bowl has a small slightly darkened manufacturing flaw inside low on one side--otherwise wonderful vintage condition

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this lovely English porcelain chamber pot made by PORTMEIRION in Stoke-on-Trent. It could be "used" if absolutely necessary, but I believe this to be a decorative piece rather than a utile one! (smile) The pot is made of fine porcelain material and has been decorated with transfer designs of large pink roses. The roses repeat 3 times around the pot and there is a slightly smaller one inside. The full maker's mark is on the bottom of the pot. It is quite clean, and there are no stains or odors, so I am assuming it has only been used decoratively. It would look wonderful in a shabby decor. If you love pink roses, this is perfect in your decor. Perfect for bathroom or bedroom or boudoir! Fill it with potpourri and set it under a vintage bed! Lovely!
