Natalie loves this…Because along site lines is the new exhibition by Berlin-based artist Sinta Werner, interrogating, as the title suggests, our conventional ways of seeing. Previewing at Nettie Horn, September 2, the exhibition presents a site-specific, architectonic installation that activates the interplay between illusion and reality; collapsing the three-dimensional gallery space, into a fictitious, ambiguous environment. The main space of the gallery has been transformed into a “double exposure” installation that evokes a vision perceived from two different angles. To create this illusionary “double take”, Werner turned to digital media – a new and important direction in her work – initially working with Photoshop, but quickly branching out to use a range of digital processes. In this way, Werner creates digital sketches that are later actualized and materialised as inhabitable environments. This new direction marks a move away from the manipulation of one-point perspectival systems that characterized her earlier work. Here, Werner moves into new territory – the synthetic. The effect is one that transposes illusion, virtuality and multi-dimensional space into a coherent and inhabitable whole.

Sonia loves this…Because some accessories transcend time and will always be in vogue. The Collier de Chien cuff by Hermès has long since been a fashion staple, constantly reinvented in new materials and colours. Edgy yet sophisticated, the cuff is both fashion forward and classic, a rare and powerful combination that is reserved for only the iconic few. Created in the 1930’s for a wealthy Hermès clients bulldog, the “dog collar” cuff was soon developed into wrist wear and has remained ubiquitous ever since. Coming in a range of skins and metals, its pyramid studs are powerful, yet feminine with rounded edges and simplicity. A cult classic, these beautiful cuffs are a wise investment that are guaranteed to stand the test of time.

A specialist in leather goods and luxury items, fashion house Hermès was established in 1837 trading in equestrian goods for the carriage trade, of which the Duc carriage brand logo remains a reminder of its heritage. First showing couture in 1929, the 1930’s saw some of the most iconic goods created by the brand, cashing in on the unparalleled understanding of leather products. More recently, French designer Jean Paul Gaultier was tasked with bringing the heritage brand into the twenty first century. Creative director since 1993, Gaultier showed his final collection for the label this season, inspired by masculine tailoring and a playful reinterpretation of cult British TV series The Avengers, creating subtly fetish wear leather suiting, whilst remaining true to Hermès’ historical values with his material choice and classic cuts.

We love Alison’s style…Because her wardrobe is fashion news, the debut womenswear collection by JW Anderson has the fashion press buzzing around it and Alison wastes no time in getting into one of the coveted pieces, choosing the white heart tassel dress. Anderson is known for his unisex designs with his menswear collection but this cute knitted dress shows a progression in his womenswear offering. Pandora loves this…Because Burberry is making the up coming months look all warm and fuzzy. Ever since those Burberry Prorsum models soared down the catwalk in those chunky aviator jackets, they’ve been on everyone’s most wanted list and now that they’ve finally hit the stores we can now wrap up warm and look absolutely fabulous. Closing London’s fashion week in February the ‘Burberry Cadet Girls’ left mouths open and eyes dazzled as luxurious, lambskin lined aviators, cosy shearling boots and lined militaty coats caused an eruption of flying jacket revivalism by designers.

Proving that by no means does winter have to mean hiding away in granny cardigans and jeans, the model looks like the most elegant goth in the office wearing Burberry’s black sheepskin jacket with shearling collar. It’s the most luxurious coverup of the season and with the Givenchy inspired gothic twist giving her a sharp winter look focusing on textures and curves. With large lapels and a short length, the jacket gives her defined shoulders but clips in her waist, creating a strong womanly curve. A nod to Prada’s AW10 collection of Mad Men inspired short jacket’s, clipped in waists, wool skirts and dark shades of red’s and mustard’s making the simplest of outfits look subversively sexy. In true secretarial form the white, ruffle-neck crepe Alexander Mcqueen blouse and a 3.1. Phillip Lim black wool melton suspender skirt keep that focus of late Fifties and Early Sixties line’s that Muicci Prada called classic, forever shapes a tight buttoned affair topped off with a daring flash of colour as the matching hair, lips and YSL chelsea tassle ankle boots gives it a sultry edge. All praise the chunky fabrics being hot for the cold months. £2395

We love Liza’s style…Because she’s bang on trend in this divine DKNY shearling leather coat. With Burberry making the aviator look a full-blown obsession of ours we’re all super jealous of this alternative beauty. With some relaxed under layering of a cool t shirt and floral skirt, PR executive Liza keeps the look cute and quirky without being overwhelmed by the statement of the leather and some sexy, chunky heels give it just the right edge to keep her looking cool.

Georgie loves this…Because you can take a little bit of New York with you everywhere. The tactile thick felt is well chosen, in keeping with that minimal trend that is so key this season, adapting to a more autumnal look with lace up detailing and chunky matte black heel. To maximise the sexy in the city look, team with some tailored cropped trousers, casual tee and blazer.

WIth an every growing presence within the fashion industry, Alexander Wang relies heavily on references to Americana within his work, this season choosing the power mongers on 1980’s wall street as his main point of inspiration. Adapting powerful tailored suiting for a new modern audience, marrying minimal details and sumptuous materials with classic menswear style, adding sheer staples for sex appeal. A graduate of Parsons School of Design, it is unsurprising that Wang keeps returning to a cool urban style that is synonymous with New York design. £555

We love Annabel’s style…Because office staples could do with an inventive shake up, taking a ruffle neck silk crepe de Chine blouse by Alexander McQueen, publisher Annabel opts out of the usual pencil skirt partnering, creative a mini shirt dress. The romantic aesthetic of the blouse is juxtaposed by tough riveted leather sandals by Christopher Kane, a patent Vivienne Westwood bag and Lucy Hutchings cage ball ring. A fan of the new minimal trend coming through this season Annabel favour sleek staple pieces but isn’t afraid to mix with more adventurous pieces and menswear items.

We love Tish’s style…Because we like a bit of glamourous gothic and here fashion assistant Tish manages to mix up pieces from one of our favourite collections of the new season, Christopher Kane, matching his leather collared lace blouse with a simple high waisted skirt, purple velvet Mulberry bag and patent Doc Martens. Particular attention has to go to her incredible ring collection, a mass assorted vintage trinkets a la Lagerfeld, it’s the little details that make all the difference.

Katie loves this…Because if summer was the time for nails, autumn must be the season for lips. Let it be no secret that the beauty team here at Because have found a new weapon to combat dried out, dull looking lips. This is Bobbi’s first red lip collection and consists of a pillar box red lipstick with a bright red liner and a lip gloss that verges on neon. (Somewhat out of the norm for Bobbi Brown you might think. This is, after all, the woman who based the foundations of her range on the made-up natural philosophy.) Does this herald a new era in Bobbi Brown or simply a flash of irreverence and enjoyment from greatly respected and much loved brand on its 20th Anniversary of existence? You decide. Either way you can’t fail to love this new collection. £20
