1 cup sugar&lt;br /&gt;
2 cups water&lt;br /&gt;
fresh peaches&lt;br /&gt;
2 tablespoons corn starch&lt;br /&gt;
1 small package peach jell-o&lt;br /&gt;
whipped cream  Mix sugar and corn starch in sauce pan.  Add water and bring to a boil.  Stir in jello until it is dissolved.  Chill mixture in refrigerator until it starts to thicken.  Pour in baked pie shell in layers with sliced fresh peaches.  Make sure each peach slice is coated with jello mixiure, so it won't turn dark. 1 pint sour cream  Peel and slice cucumbers, add salt and sugar.  Let stand over night.  Add sour cream, you may not need the full  pint, serve. &lt;br /&gt;

1 handful of spaghetti&lt;br /&gt;
4 diced carrots&lt;br /&gt;
3 medium potatoes chopped&lt;br /&gt;
3 teaspoons beef bullion&lt;br /&gt;
1/2 quart water&lt;br /&gt;
3 bay leaves&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;Brown hamburger, add all ingredients except spaghetti into a large pan.  Simmer until vegetables are tender. 1 teaspoon soda  Mix eggs, oil, and sugar.  Add dry ingredients.  Add apples and nuts.  Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Cookies:&lt;br /&gt;
1 cup shortening&lt;br /&gt;
3 eggs&lt;br /&gt;
3 cups flour&lt;br /&gt;
1 teaspoon soda&lt;br /&gt;
2 cups brown sugar&lt;br /&gt;
1/2 cup water&lt;br /&gt;
1 tablespoons vanilla&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Filling:&lt;br /&gt;
2 cups ground dates&lt;br /&gt;
1/2 cup water&lt;br /&gt;
3/4 cup sugar  Cook filling ingredients until thickened, cool.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Cream sugar, shortening, eggs, water, and vanilla.  Add dry ingredients.  Roll out dough and cut out cookies.  put 1 teaspoon filling between two cookies. 1 cup cucumbers&lt;br /&gt;
1 cup small pickling onions&lt;br /&gt;
1 cup chopped carrots&lt;br /&gt;
1 cup chopped celery&lt;br /&gt;
2 cups sugar&lt;br /&gt;
1 tablespoon celery seed&lt;br /&gt;
1 cup chopped cabbage&lt;br /&gt;
1 cup cauliflower&lt;br /&gt;
1 cup string beans cut&lt;br /&gt;
2 cups vinegar&lt;br /&gt;
1 tablespoon turmeric&lt;br /&gt;
2 tablespoons mustard seed  Soak vegetables in 2 quarts water and 1/2 cup salt for several hours.  Boil until tender. Drain, add vinegar, sugar, and turmeric.  Tie celery seed and mustard seed in a cheese cloth sack, add to vinegar mixture.  Cook 10 minutes. 3 cups flour&lt;br /&gt;
1 teaspoon salt&lt;br /&gt;
2 teaspoons cinnamon&lt;br /&gt;
2 teaspoons vanilla&lt;br /&gt;
1 cup white sugar&lt;br /&gt;
1 cup oil&lt;br /&gt;
1 teaspoon soda&lt;br /&gt;
1/4 teaspoon baking powder&lt;br /&gt;
2 eggs&lt;br /&gt;
2 cups grated zucchini&lt;br /&gt;
1 cup brown sugar  Sift together flour, salt, soda, baking powder, and cinnamon, set aside.  Combine sugars and oil, add beaten eggs, vanilla, and zucchini.  Add dry ingredients.  Nuts, raisins, or chocolate chips may be added.  Put in greased and floured loaf pans, makes 2 loaves. 2 teaspoons vanilla  Boil sugar and milk for 8 minutes, stirring constantly, remove from heat.  Add chocolate chips, margarine, nuts and vanilla.  Put back on heat until everything is melted.  Pour on buttered cookie sheet. 6 cans lye&lt;br /&gt;
10 quart buckets of hot water&lt;br /&gt;
24 pounds grease&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Put grease, lye, and 2 buckets of hot water in a drum cut in half.  Boil until grease is dissolved, add the rest of the water.  Stir after each bucket is added.  It will go thick and string from stirring stick.  Put half in a no. 3 tub rinsed with cooled water.  when hard, about 2 days, cut and dry.  Stores well.&lt;br /&gt;

Mix all ingredients to make batter.  Drop in spoonfuls on top of syrup mixture. Boil sugar, syrup and salt. Heat milk in separate pan. Add 1/9 cup of milk at a time to sugar mixture, about every 5 minutes. After all milk is added, cook to a soft ball stage, add vanilla .Pour into a buttered pan. Crust:&lt;br /&gt;
3 cups graham cracker crumbs&lt;br /&gt;
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts&lt;br /&gt;
4 teaspoons margarine&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Filling:&lt;br /&gt;
1 can evaporated milk&lt;br /&gt;
3/4 cup hot water&lt;br /&gt;
1/2 cup lemon juice&lt;br /&gt;
1 package jell-o&lt;br /&gt;
1 cup sugar&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;Crust: Line a 13 x 9 cake pan with half of the graham cracker mixture.  Save the other half for the top.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Boil 1 can evaporated milk, in can for 5 minutes.  Chill and whip.  Mix jell-o (Red or lemon) in water, add sugar and lemon juice, dissolve well, cool.  Cool until syrupy.  Add to whipped milk.  Pour on top of graham cracker crumbs.  Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. 1/2 c bread crumbs&lt;br /&gt;
1 T worcestershire sauce&lt;br /&gt;
Dash of pepper&lt;br /&gt;
2 T chopped parsley&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Mix all together well. bake for 1-1 1/2 hours at 350. tomato slices may be put on top or at the last minute grate cheese over top for variety.&lt;br /&gt;

2/3 cup shortening&lt;br /&gt;
4 eggs&lt;br /&gt;
2 cups applesauce&lt;br /&gt;
2 teaspoons soda&lt;br /&gt;
1 teaspoon salt&lt;br /&gt;
1 teaspoon cinnamon&lt;br /&gt;
2/3 cups raisins&lt;br /&gt;
2 2/2 cup sugar&lt;br /&gt;
2/3 cup water&lt;br /&gt;
3 1/3 cup flour&lt;br /&gt;
1/2 teaspoon baking powder&lt;br /&gt;
1 teaspoon cloves&lt;br /&gt;
2/3 cup nuts&lt;br /&gt;
Cream together shortening and sugar.  Add eggs, water, and applesauce.  Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.  Grease very well 8 wide mouth pint jars. Fill half full.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes on a cookie sheet.  Have lids hot and apply to bottles.
