Halloween 2020

2020-11-11T10:24:00.002-08:00

Halloween was a little different because of Covid19 but we ended up having one the of the best ones yet! We went to a really fun Haunted House with friends and trick or treated in the new neighborhood. We had a fire in the firepit and it was just a great day with friends.

We bought a FARM

We said goodbye to Phoenix and hello to Glendale. We moved to a farm in Sunburst farms. Kali switched high school and can actually walk there! Yay! We got 4 chickens and we're loving this quiet life and all of our outdoor time.

Kora had (what we didn't know at the time) her last soccer game of the year.

I asked Fran to build me a new side gate for Christmas. I found a photo of what I wanted and it turned out even better!

Big Sis

Kora was so cute wearing her new beanie so she could look just like her big sis. Kali is doing SO well in her Freshman year of high school and just switched from Computer Science to the Engineering program at CREST. She is a great example of hard work to her younger siblings.

40

2019-12-27T09:04:00.002-08:00

My 40th birthday started with flowers from Francis and the sweetest card. Then I took the kids to school and headed to my hair appointment. My friend Srey made my hair fabulous and I snapped this selfie because I want to remember exactly what I looked like the day I turned 40.

Then, Kali had a half day so I picked her up and we went to lunch at the Yard with my Mom and I ate my favorite dish there--the California Roll appetizer (try it, it's delicious) In the afternoon I picked up Kai and Kora and it was business as usual. Homework, making dinner and soccer practice.

Then that weekend it was time to PARTY! Friends met up at Blue Martini and it was SO much fun. From friends I've known since preschool to friends I've met recently, it was perfect. I say this a lot but I am sooooo lucky to have so many awesome people in my life.

So far, 40 is GREAT!

Halloween

2019-11-03T09:09:00.002-08:00

Kora wanted to be this shadow demon for Halloween and it was the creepiest costume we saw all night!

without the red eyes on we could barely see her

Kora had friends over to trick or treat and eat before and after

Kali had a FREEZING cold swim meet and then made it home to put on her cop costume and go around the neighborhood (she said she felt too old)

a neighbor made copies of $100 bills and it was hilarious to see the kids get excited

candy trades

dinner before they went out and then Kai could not find his costume (of course but he had a mask)

We all had the BEST night!!

Everyday after school I ask Kora how her day was and she says, "AMAZING"!! She has so many cute friends in her class from last year and her teacher, Mrs. Taylor is awesome!

they have a class turtle and this cool hydroponics garden

Kora went to her first sleepover

she did her first book report

We spent the rest of fall break at Butterfly Garden Inn. We relaxed. Relaxed. Napped. Ate. Played in the creek and relaxed some more.

Fall in Dewey

2019-10-28T08:55:00.002-07:00

We spent the first day of fall break in Dewey and had the BEST day! Friends stopped by, there was a chicken on a leash, family and beautiful weather.

Watching Kali swim

2019-10-28T08:50:00.001-07:00

Kali has been invited to swim invitationals and we've been having a great time watching her. She swam at ASU and Fran, Kathi and I went to watch her and even had time for a nice dinner in between events.

Yaya LOVES going to all of Kali's meets and Bret and Taylor even came by and watch with new baby Gentry.

Kali has been LOVING high school and had so much fun during Homecoming week. She dressed up for spirit week, went to the game with friends and dance too.
