Case Study: Welch Sports to Magento

Cork-based sporting goods retailer Welch Sports contracted us in August to take over management of their popular website, previously operated in two installations of Zen Cart as a catalogue. Welch’s wanted to merge these installations into one and redesign the website with more of a focus on sales. We demonstrated our most recent Magento project and recommended migration to that platform.

Welch’s needed the website migrated quickly, so we imported and merged the data from the two Zen Cart installations and published them on a temporary modified Magento template in mid-August, while our designer worked on a new look for the completed webstore. The completed site went live at the beginning of September, and we continue to work with Welch’s with technical support and advice on new features.

Case Study: Ecostore.ie Redevelopment

Long-standing client Waste Solutions asked us to review their Ecostore.ie etail website, developed by another agency, because it utilised a catalogue management system that had become clumsy and and difficult to operate.

We analysed the catalogue and turnover and consulted the client on the features they were hoping to add to their operation, frontend and backend, and recommended conversion to Magento for it’s feature-set, robustness, and the ability to start with basic catalogue operations and learn more advanced functionality over time.

We imported all of the catalogue data from the previous website using custom scripts and handlers, reorganised the catalogue and content to make it more usable for both the customer and end-users, developed a fresh new template appropriate for the products offered, and continue to offer support on Magento operation.

Also known as WHOIS Privacy, this service protects your privacy by removing your personal information from the domain WHOIS, and replacing it with generic data. You may still be contacted via a form-linked email address.

Supported domain names are .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .name, .mobi and .tel in generic namespace, and country codes .asia, .bz, .cc, .in, .me and .tv. Special offers are still available on .me and .tv domain names at Beecher Networks.
