Here is our meal plan for this week which is going to be a busy week as I prepare food, decorate and bake in preparation for “Master Dynamo’s” 7th birthday party.

Master Dynamo requested a pirate party so we have loads of pirate games planned along with face painting and a pirate cake which I am baking and decorating. This will be my first attempt at a novel birthday cake like this, oh I hope it turns out okay and is eatable haha.

Here is this weeks meal plan:

• Monday - Curry Sausages, Rice and Vege
• Tuesday - Butter Chicken with rice and vege
• Wednesday - Meatball & Vege Supreme (Slow Cooker)
• Thursday - Creamy Chicken with vege(Slow Cooker)
• Friday - Sausage Pasta Bake
• Saturday - Bacon Wrap Chipolatas with garlic pasta and salad
• Sunday - Beef Tacos
• CAKES – Muesli Bar, Jam Drop Biscuits, Ginger Jumble Cake

This is week one of the Designer Darling Competition, in round one we are required to design a mini kit using the colour pallet that was provided for us. There was no theme or kit name provided only the pallet, the rest is up to each designer to decide, here’s what I came up with…

You can download this mini kit and all of the other coordinating submission from the other designer contestants at the Stuff to Scrap competition forum here for a limited time.

You’ll need to register (if you haven’t already) and look for the Designer Darling Challenge section. Then you’ll gain access to all the wonderful FREEBIES created during the Competition, as well as the regular freebies and fun that is Stuff to Scrap.

I’m currently working on a mini kit based around a specific colour pallet for Round 1 this week which will be available for download free at the STS competition forum. I will be back shortly with the preview and links for you to download my creation along with the submissions from other contestants in the Designer Darling competition at Stuff to Scrap.

This week marks the start of a new chapter for all of our foster children “Master Flash” as he starts Kindergarten and his brother “Master Dynamo” enters grade 1, while “Master Giggles” will start child care to build on his social skill building with interaction around other toddlers of his age.

As always my meal plans generally do not including breakfast or lunch and only dinner, desert and cakes or biscuits as we tend to have either cereal with fruit, oatmeal or pancakes on the varying days of the week for breakfast and lunch is packed for the family with fresh fruit, sandwiches and either cake or cookies.

• Wednesday - Chicken Stew (Slow Cooker)
• Thursday -Chinese Pork and Rice (Slow Cooker)

• Sunday - Char Grilled Paprika Chicken with Herb Rice and Corn Cob
• CAKES – Wacky Chocolate Cake, Choc Chip Biscuits Coconut Cake

It has helped me out a lot having the weekly meal plans for our family, it is nice to not have to rack my brain with what to come up with each night. Meal planning is especially helpful when you have to consider special dietary requirements and the busy week ahead with back to school preparations. Our foster toddler “giggles” has a restrictive diet due to allergies with Egg and Peanut, thankfully after his recent allergy test we are now able to allow dairy into his diet.

The time management / daily routines of our home are working a treat and I am very excited to be scrap booking again and capturing the memories of our lives forever. I have even started on a few new designs too.
