Pixable : Finding the Top Images on Facebook

We all love Facebook and upload hundreds of pictures on Facebook for comments and views. But what if you wanted to know which was the most famous pic of the day or which of your friends uploads pics. There is a new service which lets you browse through all the pics, and gives you the most famous ones.

Pixable is a new startup, which collects all the data from your timeline and notifies you of the most famous pics of the day. Once you sign up, it will take some to load all the information from all your friends. But once all the information is gathered, it will sort it into informational sections.

You will be presented the pics in different categories like
- Top of the Day
- Top of the week
- Tagged ladies
- Tagged Guys
- Shared videos
- Your Top Comments

You can also see a section showing the number of pics uploaded by your friend and browse through his albums at will. The interface looks good for browsing but seems a bit small.

On the main page after you login, you can see the most famous images and videos on Facebook. They even send you a email daily with the most famous pic from your timeline. This is super useful to people who don't frequent Facebook much, but would like to see the pics that is famous among his/her friends.

Pixable seems like a nice new startup, but does not give much in sense of content. You can of course add your twitter account and see all the images or videos doing the rounds on twitter on your timeline. But other than that, there is nothing new or noteworthy about it.

Some people will like it for its looks and , I personally love it for the email they send. Hope you use it too. Do let me know how you find the startup.

Hide Morning and Night Time in Google Calendar

Google Calendar being a web service is actively developed by Google similarly to Gmail. Calendar has its own labs features, where the Calendar team tests out new features. One such new feature is to hide the hours before you wake up.

Every calendar shows all the hours which takes up lots of space. Also you never plan anything after you sleep or before you wake up. So make Calendar more smart, you can enable the lab feature.

Click on the cog icon at the top of the page and you can directly go to the labs section of Google Calendar. Enable 'Hide Morning and Night' in the labs. You can also Enable any other lab features which suite your needs.

This lab will modify the look of the 'Day' & 'Week' view of the calendar and not any other views. Below are the screenshots of Before and after pics of Google Calendar.

As you can see the Time before 10 am are hidden.If you want to adjust the time, click on the date line and a slider pop up where you can adjust the time range. It will look something like this.
