JOB OVERVIEW

The Animator position will be based in our Oakland, CA office. The Animator will be expected to support animation directors, motion graphic designers, and producers in a studio environment. High-level experience in animation and motion graphics is a must. Ability to work at a fast pace under pressure and juggle multiple deliverables at one time is critical. Ability to collaborate with teams, as well as take initiative and self-direct is essential. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Technical and Creative Skills

Fluent in digital illustration: ability to illustrate in a variety of styles, copy existing styles and assist with asset creation for animation and motion graphic work in both vector and bitmap formats.
Fluent in motion graphic animation, character animation and digital special effects.
Ability to create/manipulate photo assets for animation.
Familiar with QuickTime MOV and Windows WMV exporting formats and compression.
Familiar with exporting files for DVD and DVD creation software.
Familiar with file sharing software such as FTP clients, DropBox, and YouSendIt.

Software
Mac OSX, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Flash, Final Cut Pro and/or Adobe Premiere, and familiarity with sound editing software. Experience with Cinema 4D and/or Maya is highly desirable, though not a requirement.

Our agency is seeking a creative and skilled designer to design event-related signage, packaging, and advertising (print and online) for key upcoming events. The position is for a full-time contract position through the end of September, with the potential to become a long term position. We are looking for someone with 3-5 years of experience, preferably related to event marketing and social media. Must be a self-starter and organized. You also must be awesome. Job Overview

Martini Media is currently seeking a Contract Graphic Designer. We are looking for a motivated professional who has experience building standard as well rich media ad units. This individual will be responsible for working across various departments within the company to create mock-ups and live ads for high-end advertisers. This is a contract job on an as need basis. On average expect 2-3 units per month, totaling 60-80 hours of work. Not required to be located in San Francisco or New York City but ability to communicate via the Internet from home is a must.

What is rich media advertising?

· Advertising that includes more than just animation.

Responsibilities
· Ability to take current assets and design units in specific form factors (there are only a handful of creatives that we produce)
· Ability to design units that enables fast builds
· Ability to create custom creatives that will be used on our network of over 1000 sites (your work will be seen)
· Provide Martini with an initial mock with a small story board after provided source files (fonts, logos, copy, product shots, current running ad units)
· Ability to work closely with internal team to make 2 major revisions and 3 minor revisions on each project
· Designing process ends after approval is met from the client.
· Ability to design and deliver in a format that will require little to no adjustments from internal Martini team (i.e. No adjusting layouts or reordering layers)

The AD will be responsible for brainstorming creative concepts with the project team, developing original design concepts, executing designs based on established style guides, leading visual design presentations to clients, and developing design specs for production.

Digital Art Directors are versatile and multi-faceted. An understanding of web technologies and grasp of the latest tools. The ADs job is to create great interaction design schemes for clients and to help the team do the same. You should know how to foster a creative workspace, while overseeing and mentoring designers. You must have excellent communication and writing skills and also be a great team player.

Responsibilities:

Lead, inspire, and collaborate with your co-workers to produce inventive, thoughtful, relevant work for clients
Work closely with your team to execute on the creative strategy for projects
Participate in all aspects of your teams projects, focusing on innovation and quality
Collaborate and lead visual designers and engineers to conceive and prototype interaction models, information architectures, and user interfaces
Expertly craft documentation to represent the user experience, including: product requirements documents, functional specifications, flow diagrams, schematics, and prototypes
Understand and work within project parameters: client goals and requirements, internal goals, usability, technical constraints, as well as budget and schedule
Work with User Experience Designers to implement interaction design guidelines
Experiment with new tools and techniques to improve our work

Skills and Requirements:

5+ years of agency experience and at least 3 years as an Art Director
Considerable experience in presenting and client interaction
Self-motivated with the ability to juggle multiple projects
Present a portfolio that represents a diversity of projects as well as a clear design perspective and a deep understanding of interactive methods
An ability to be communicative, flexible and precise under tight deadlines
Proficiency with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Strong organizational skills and an attention to detail
Works well under pressure
Strong mentoring ability
Excellent attitude and desire to learn

User Experience Designer for Popular Web App

We are looking for a passionate, experienced, and talented UX designer to join our web-app development team. This role will have primary responsibility for UX design on LivePlan (www.liveplan.com), our flagship product.

Responsibilities include:

Thinking strategically about the app's overall visual design, voice, tone, and style
Developing and testing new UI concepts to meet our users' goals as effectively as possible
Creating mockups (in Photoshop, Fireworks, HTML, etc.) of new interfaces
Handing off completed design to development, and collaborating with developers on implementation details
Doing rapid prototyping (sketches, wireframes, etc.) to test concepts before development begins
Conducting usability testing
Keeping up with the latest developments and best practices in UX design
Generating new feature ideas based on a strong understanding of our market, users, and target persona
Participating in planning and estimation meetings for new feature development
Reviewing work in progress and release candidates to ensure successful implementation of UX designs
Contributing to other product and public-site projects when time allows

This position is based in Eugene, Oregon. Remote work is not an option for this role. Our work is too collaborative for that. You will report directly to and work closely with the VP of Product Development, who is also the product owner for the LivePlan scrum team.
