As a designer at Punchcut you will work as a core team member on a cross-disciplinary team of interaction designers, visual designers, motion designers, project managers, and strong creative leadership. REQUIREMENTS:

3-5 years experience in interactive design for mobile, television, tablet, web and software.
A stellar portfolio that shows creative range and innovative thinking.
Superior communication skills. You should be able to rationalize your decisions and articulate your thoughts clearly to teams and clients.
Passion for design and the evolution of the interactive user experience.
Solid understanding of design principles and how they apply to the interactive space. Understanding of the nuances of UI design for mobile.
An understanding of current UI presentation-layer technologies and mobile platforms.

As a User Experience Designer at our client, you will be responsible for user-centered design to create, evaluate, and modify designs and prototypes in support of evolving Software as a Service (SaaS) applications. As a UX Designer at Quantcast, you will be involved in every aspect of the product process from the high-level product strategy and vision to the tactical design-measure-iterate cycle. You will be responsible for the following:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Creative, collaborative, dynamic motion graphics designer to help create the look, feel and style of a variety of broadcast and non-broadcast video projects including documentaries, concerts, educational videos, news, sports and feature stories and much more. This person has a great eye for design, knows how to solve visual problems creatively, and collaborates with producers, videographers and editors to make every production look its best. Designing video graphics requires someone who can work with the varying vision of many different clients and producers. Can you take their adjectives and vague descriptions and bring them to life through graphics and animation? Can you use Photoshop, Cinema 4D, Illustrator, After Effects, or the Chyron Duet to create broadcast graphics in pre-, post-, and live productions? Do you know what proper kerning is? Can you problem-solve and brainstorm? Can you design logos and then make them fly? Or sing? Can you catch when someone is using the wrong form of “its” in a full screen graphic?

The ideal candidate will have both a design background and video production experience. Experience with 3D software is a major consideration. Bonus points for experience working in live TV and operating a Chyron but don’t rule yourself out if that’s the only skill you’re missing - as long as you’re willing to learn. In fact, if you have talent, enthusiasm and a dynamic portfolio, but are maybe not experienced with all of the specific equipment we use – that’s OK. We can train you on the equipment, but you must come with a proactive attitude, amazing artistic sensibilities, and at least some motion graphics experience.

You also must excel at collaborating and communicating. This designer knows the balance between using professional expertise to create high quality, amazing graphics while honoring the vision and opinions of the producers and clients. No divas. Job Description

The Art Director is responsible for the visual design and execution of all campaign elements and jobs produced for the brand both online and off. He/she works closely with the copywriter(s) as a creative team to maintain brand consistency and excellence on all jobs. The Art Director also works in conjunction with various members of the art team and other agency departments (including interactive, production, imaging, the electronic studio, and account service) to oversee all jobs from start to finish.

General Responsibilities

Oversee jobs from beginning concept/design stages through production.
Execute creative that encompasses all media, including traditional, video and interactive.
Establish credibility with all levels by developing knowledge of Client’s business, the brand itself and people involved (i.e. internal client structure, individual responsibilities, and interaction between groups/individuals with respect to their impact on client jobs).
Keep abreast of current interactive, mobile, advertising, design, and visual communications. Continuously stay current to marketing trends and unique design styles, imagery, technology and technological advances and introduce these to future team projects where appropriate.
Demonstrate the ability to work in various forms of media including a working knowledge of the digital and print production processes.
Demonstrate an understanding of basic marketing principles.
Demonstrate ability to design and advocate from the user’s perspective.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of production techniques, options, budget and timing ramifications.
Keep supervisor briefed on creative projects.

Brand Champion

Elevate the integrity and excellence of the brand in all materials developed both online and off.
Provide comprehensive design overview and brand consistency.
Provide fresh, unique, and strategic thinking for all brand marketing/advertising initiatives.
Act as gatekeeper to ensure that all final products released demonstrate only the highest quality creative and effectively communicates brand messages to targeted customers.
Clearly communicate creative concepts and rationale for design choices to team and clients and/or new business prospects.
Present rational for functional decisions within interactive work

Additional Responsibilities

Communicate effectively and professionally both internally and externally.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Remain calm despite high-pressure situations.
Project a professional attitude and foster a positive team atmosphere demonstrating respect for peers and supervisors and establish credibility both internally and externally.
Assist other members of department/team as needed when workload allows.
Execute examples of interactive design and provide guidance in understanding these materials when appropriate.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

College degree in visual communications or equivalent experience.
1-2 years of digital and print design/advertising experience.
Advertising and/or print and digital design portfolio or website equivalent
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Adobe CS 4, Microsoft Office.
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Video Production.
