Saturday’s & Sunday’s will be APPOINTMENT ONLY. Walk-ins will be allowed Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday during business hours.

Our staff are required to wear a mask and we kindly request all guests wear a mask. The bride will be able to remove her mask during the try on time.

Only our consultants and the bride will be able to shop our racks. The less people up, the better.

We will practice social distancing.

Our consultants will not be able to assist the brides in and out of gowns, so please bring someone to help you

Meet Shane and Tiffany

We met in 2017 online and hit it off instantly, we dated for 3 months then ended our relationship; it was bad timing. Then we rekindled our relationship in January 2019 and we hit it off again and started dating again in February and got engaged in March.

What was the Proposal Like?

Shane actually Proposed at his house. I was sitting there and he just got home from work and we went in the other room and we sat down and he said “ If I proposed to you right now would you say yes?” and of course I was like well yeah! Then he got up and grabbed something from his pocket and I said oh wow is this really happening. He was like yes I can’t wait any longer for this. I’m so ready for it now! Even though it’s not the way he wanted to ask me it was still romantic and sweet.

Tell Us Your Original Proposal Plan

Shane wanted to have a romantic fire and have dinner or propose on the beach in Gulf Shores when we were suppose to go in June.

When did you decide to have a COVID Proposal?

Shane knew he wanted to propose to me soon and with everything being shut down he wasn’t for sure when he was going to be able to do it he said he couldn’t wait much longer!

How did you feel about having to change proposal plans?

It was disappointing I would of liked a romantic proposal but it didn’t matter how he did it because I wanted to be engaged to him just as much as he wanted to with me.

Are you going to start wedding planning right away?

When everything starts to open back up we are for sure going to start planning. We have some things picked out but of course can’t do anything about it right now

Are you going to celebrate your engagement once the Illinois-stay-at-home order has been lifted?

We planned on having an engagement party with friends and family. Not for sure the details on that yet.

What advice would you give someone who is having to change their proposal plan due to COVID-19?

Try to be positive like we are doing and just know that this hopefully won’t last forever and we will all be able to plan our special day!

Popping the Question During COVID

Meet Kyle and Veronica

We’ve been best friends for a few years now! Our families have always known of each other, and we reunited a few years ago at Buffalo Wild Wings. After we ran into each other he messaged me and asked me to grab dinner with him- with no hesitation, I agreed. We had a wonderful time on our first date- downtown Decatur at a local restaurant where we enjoyed each other’s company and laughter for hours! The rest is pretty much history!

What was the Proposal Like?

The proposal was intimate and just the two of us! I couldn’t picture a more perfect moment! He had a portrait with beautiful words designed for me wrapped up in bright pink (my favorite color) wrapping paper. He asked me to unwrap it and read it aloud. I did and then a second in time passes and he grabs my hands and stands me up- I immediately couldn’t believe what was about to happen! He knelt down on one knee with tears in his eyes, a huge smile and hands shaking profusely and asked me to marry him! I immediately said yes with no hesitation! The moment was perfect!

Tell Us Your Original Proposal Plan

The original plan was for him and I to go to Arpeggio winery and have one of my sisters, Carissa, nearby recording the proposal! He planned for our family and all of our friends to be downtown at Taproot- where he rented the top area for all of us to celebrate! I would be surprised when I walked in as he was only telling me he had reserved dinner plans for just us two. As he was telling me this, I started to cry imagining how much he planned and how many details he created and all just for me!

When did you decide to have a COVID Proposal?

Kyle decided to propose in April and then we were all quarantined. It was unfortunate that we were and still haven’t been able to celebrate this magical moment with our family and friends, however we know we will be able to very soon!

How did you feel about having to change proposal plans?

Well it was a bummer that we weren’t able to go through with it but I wasn’t going to let it stop me from asking you to marry me, and that we will always be able to celebrate it with everyone.

Are you going to start wedding planning right away?

Yes we are!! We already have talked about what we both picture for our wedding day, and how we can’t wait to embark upon this exciting new journey together!!

Are you going to celebrate your engagement once the Illinois-stay-at-home order has been lifted?

Yesss!!! We plan to be surrounded by all of our family and friends where we plan to enjoy each moment with him as my fiancé and me as his! We’re blessed beyond measures to be surrounded by so many people who love and support us as not only individuals, but as a couple!

What advice would you give someone who is having to change their proposal plan due to COVID-19?

Never let unprecedented and unusual times stop you from pursuing what you from going after what you want! Life has a funny way of always working out better than you could’ve planned or imagined! Cheers to all the quarantined and newly engaged couples!

Springfield Couple Gets Married During COVID

In these times of uncertainty, many couples have been forced to postpone their weddings due to COVID-19, but this Springfield, IL couple decided they were going to forge ahead with a small and intimate ceremony at their family home. Keep reading to meet the new Mr and Mrs!

How did you two meet?

We met by chance at a bar for two totally different occasions, my best friends birthday and Derek’s best friend was celebrating his recent proposal! We say it was love at first sight because we haven’t stopped loving each other since. We have been together for almost 2 years in August 2020! Derek proposed 6 months and 2 days after the day we met! Like I said… love at first sight. But when you know, you know!

Original Wedding Plans

We wanted the BIG traditional wedding, I had it planned to a tee. A little over 300 guests would have been in attendance. We planned on having the ceremony and reception at the expo building and using all the wonderfully beautiful space there!

What was rescheduling your wedding like?

The best way to describe the emotions I had to go though with rescheduling our wedding was heart wrenching. The hard work and so much energy I put in to making this day unforgettable for not only Derek and I but everyone who came was overwhelming. Not a day went by where I was not talking about it, thinking about it, or actually working on something for the wedding. The decision to postpone the BIG wedding was definitely the hardest decision I had ever had to make.

What was your wedding day like?

Magical, there are just some emotions you can’t take away from a wedding day regardless if you have what you planned on having or not. Our wedding day was nothing short of amazing. I got to do the first look with my dad like I had planned. Derek’s face when he saw me, was everything I could have hoped for and more! I got to walk with my dad down our makeshift aisle, and that was something I was not able to let go of because that’s every girl’s dream. We cut our cake, and drove to downtown Springfield to get our pictures taken! We got home did our first dance alone in our living room, and ate out dinner which our caterer graciously still made for us. Opened our cards, and then went to the drive in to watch a movie! Super non-conventional but it is definitely unforgettable.

What was the process like postponing your reception?

Stressful, we had so many vendors working together to make our day perfect. I was so nervous rescheduling for some would be an issue but everyone was so understanding. It was so hard to “throw away” all my plans I worked so hard to put into motion. But I had to realize that I wasn’t “throwing them away” but just putting them on hold until next year.

Are you making any changes to your wedding now?

Yes yes yes!!! If I thought this wedding was going to be perfect this one next year will be even bigger and better! All those little things I just couldn’t fit into the budget this year I am fitting into it for next year! Things like custom cups, and hotel gift baskets for our guest are at the top of my list!

Any Regrets?

NOTHING!

Do you have any advice for other couples?

The sadness you are feeling having to cancel your big day is so valid and it is okay to grieve that. Just think how many couples can honestly say that have gone though what we are going though. Even though it might be a little soon, I’m sure we will be looking back on this and laughing at the amount of stress we were putting on ourselves! ALSO doesn’t this make
