On the weekends I usually turn on syfy while I’m on the computer, painting, cleaning, or whatnot. I just finished watching </span><a target="_blank" href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1390535/"><span>The Final </span></a><span>though and it was completely depressing. The plot is basically a group of outcast teenagers kidnap a bunch of their classmates and torture them for revenge. Granted high school sucks for most of us and it doesn’t help that everything seems amplified during the teenage years, but once you get older things tend to get better. While I was watching it I was quick to write it off as a waste of my time, but the more I think about it, the more relevant it seemed to me on a personal level.</span><br/><span></span><br/><span>Recently some of my colleagues acted in a way that hurt someone I am very close to. During these last few days I have actually been mentally equating these older women with a clique of teenagers. I have been debating on how I will treat them now that I do not trust them anymore. I have been of two minds about it, I really want to call them out on it and tell them they are a bunch of dirty b%$*^s, and in the words of Cartman make my exit with screw you guys, I’m going home. If I’m completely honest I’ve also been fantasizing about smacking them over the head with my keyboard and shanking them with my scissors. <span id="internal-source-marker_0.4561058458583716">(Watching</span><a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1390535/"><span> </span><span>The Final</span></a><span> has definitely dampened my desire to do physical harm.)</span></span></p> <p><span><span></span></span><span>The other thing I have to consider is that these people did not really do anything to me personally, and the outcome of the situation may actually be beneficial to me, although I’m sure that wasn’t a consideration when the changes were made. The wronged person has also asked me not to say anything to the others about it. I have been instructed to play dumb, since I’m sure to have some of them try to pry info out of me. I have mostly decided to ignore it and keep to myself as much as possible. Although, I won’t know how well that will go over until Monday. I’m afraid if hear some catty comments I may find myself with keyboard or scissors in hand. I’ve considered speaking to my manager about the issue, but I think that may make it worse instead of better. </span><br/><span></span><br/><span>To bring this back around to </span><a target="_blank" href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1390535/"><span>The Final </span></a><span> I’ve realized maybe things haven’t changed that much after all. I think most of it is brought about by the situation. If you throw a large group of women together and treat them like they are children they will regress into acting like adolescents. The thing I have to keep reminding myself is that I have the option of leaving. Financially it would be a hardship, but its better than getting so wrapped up the circumstances that I do something that has negative consequences. I also have to keep in mind my long term and short term goals for my life. Mine did not turn out looking quite like Emily Martin’s. I ended up with with jumbo biscuits (to match my ginormous honey jar), however they were still absolutely delicious! I’ve tried to make homemade biscuits a couple of times in the past,  but have never been satisfied with how they turned out. Not to say that I am a fan of all the 90’s trends, silk shirts with a matching shade of jeans *shudder*, but I mostly remember the clothes being comfortable. I’m a total advocate for comfy. </p> <p>I received the September issue of Nylon in the mail today. After flipping on the 90s on 9 (foreshadowing?) and settling into a bath, I opened the mag and had a total middle/high school flashback.
