However, in recent years the traditional wedding cake has been replaced with smaller, mini desserts - and the cupcake has certainly found itself at a number of nuptials. But a new trend is emerging in the wedding world, the adorable cake pop. As their cousins the cupcakes, cake-pops will provide a sweet treat for your guest while adding dimension and color to your wedding decor. The best thing about these little sweet confections is that they leave so much room for creativity. Right now, I’m digging these super-unique cake pop ideas. Before you start scrolling down this page, I highly recommend you to sit down because this glamtastic treat will make you swoon in no time. Regardless of the fact that not every number on Elie Saab Spring 2012 Couture Collection is intended to be bridal gowns, I think all of them will make fabulous wedding dresses.
With it's beading and 3-D blossom fabrics, this whole collection is the epitome of princess with a modern flare. It would make a great choice for those fashion forward bides who are looking for something unexpected, yet elegant...They can wear one of this gorgeous white pieces without feeling too classic, or add a subtle POP to their wedding attire with Saab's array of sorbet hues. On the other hand, every dress looks so unreal and fairy-like that a more traditional bride can easily rock any of this monochromatic beauties as a second/reception wedding dress. Urban Cowboy Engagement Session : Alexa + Derek

This charming League City, Texas engagement session has grabbed a hold of my heart strings in a big way and I don’t see it ever letting go. That’s more than alright with me, though, because I can’t even begin to describe my love for this half urban, half cowboy e-session, complete with a lighthouse in the background and uber-sweet props, including ribbons and bubbles. Plus, the groom-to-be is rockin’ his cowboy boots and hat in half of the pics, oh, how I adore that. I predict a day spent wrapped up in each and every brilliant image captured by CivicPhotos.

I {heart} these Engagement Session Ideas - Part 3

Hooray! It's almost Valentine's Day! We have started to see reds hearts everywhere.... I love it! Well, I thought this lovely holiday may just be the perfect occasion to bring you more ideas on how to incorporate hearts, the universal sign of love, into your engagement session.

I adore all of the following {heart} e-session ideas. But, I'm head over heels in love with the use of heart confetti. Which one do you like? (image sources: pic #1 and # 2, pic #3, pic #4)

Hearts made out of paper are a supper cute, affordable and easy to DIY props. Even though plain red paper hearts look adorable, you may want to do something more out-of the-box like this love-notes game, these cupcake toppers, this paper heart garland or just dress up your paper hearts to give them a touch of personality like pic #4.

Chalk is another fun and unique way to bring hearts into your engagement pictures. It is also very affordable and it has a bit of a vintage feeling. Here are 15 more ways to incorporate chalk on your e-session. (image sources: pic #1, pic #2)

Other pretty {heart} ideas for your e-session include: heart-shaped balloons, lollipops, sunglasses, sparkles, even piñatas and pebbles.

{Steal Worthy Wedding} : Romance in Bali

Today I came to the conclusion that I'm obsessed with pink, something totally unexpected on me... I've never like pink. But lately, every time I find a wedding that impresses me somehow a soft shade of pink is involved. Is blush the new black? I don't know.. I just know that it is romantic, feminine and adds an elegant POC (pop-of-color) to any event. And the proof is this amazing Bali wedding photographed by Samuel Lippke. It isn't just wow… It is WOW. It’s absolute perfection, I tell you. Absolute perfection. And I honestly can’t think of a better way to leave you for the weekend than in the company of this spectacular, steal-worthy event filled with trendy details. I would count every last trend along with you, let's see how many can we spot. I have feature some of them here in Belle so follow the links and you'll find more information about each trend plus some pretty examples.

Lets satart with the magnificent location. I mean, beach destination weddings are usually so romantic. But, Bali takes seaside romance to a new level of fabulously with its mystical culture and exotic architecture.

You know, I love a bride that rocks a lace back wedding gown (trend #1), especially if that dress happens to be gold (trend #2) with touches of pale pink... stunning! Does any body knows who's the designer?

This outdoor ceremony décor is beautiful, although I think I've seen better ones (click here to see them, too), this one is still worth to pin into your ceremony decor inspiration board. I'm loving the pattern of petals on the isle!

Yes, the blush bridesmaid dresses are pretty and the parasols are a lovely addition, but what really got me from this image is the photography of the talented Samuel Lippke.. it is just mind blowing! The steal-worthy idea: get a good photographer.

Wedding signs are having a moment (trend #3). But, we usually get to see them in rustic or vintage events. So, kudos to the bride for showing that signs can be use in classic weddings, as well.

Now, let's move on to my favorite part of this event, the knock-your-socks-off reception. This tented event is just D-R-E-A-M-Y...

This gorgeous bride is defiantly in the know in terms of bridal fashion. She wore a second dress for the reception (trend #4). It was a breath-taking blush wedding gown (trend #5) that complemented her wedding colour palette to perfection.

Hanging wedding decor (trend #6) is so unexpected that would leave a lasting impression on every wedding guest. Case in point, these stunning hanging flowers and the gorgeouse chandeliers...

I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of roses, but these breath-taking centerpieces totally changed my mind. Thoughts?

Oh and speaking of details…ummm, can you say flooring? Yes, even the freaking floor was gorgeous at this wedding. It cover the grassed area where the tents were placed and also provide a path for the guest to arrive to the reception. It was white and shiny, so it reflected the light and bring and extra sparkle to the decor. Ooohh and the monogram on the dance-floor was the icing on the already perfect cake!

For my wedding re-do I would design a tented reception on not one tent, but several tents. Yep, just like this one.

The cake display on this Bali fete is so lavish it hurts! The bed of pink roses complements the floral accessory of the simple, yet elegant white laced cake (trend #7) in the most sophisticated way. And the parade of exquisite details isn't over. Just wait until you feast your eyes on the bride and groom chairs! (trend #8) All I have left to say is, luxurious romance and its best!

Rustic-Chic Barn Wedding

This barn wedding is about as rustic-chic as they come. It is completely filled to the brim with pretty elements hand-crafted by the couple and their family and friends. And the photographs from Michelle Johnson are the lovely bow on top. The result is sort of blowing my mind with its sheer gorgeousness and I can’t quite get over how many trendy details – wedding signs, bride and groom chairs, burlap, DIY favors, hanging decorations – these nuptials have . Sit back and revel in a little California beauty and definitely stop after the pics to read more insights of this couple and their perfect day.

From the photographer... "Kellie and Brett love country music. They met at a country music fest and have been in love ever since. They just knew they wanted to have their reception in a barn and Starwberry Farms was the perfect fit. The minute they drove down the white picket fenced lined street they knew they had found their wedding venue. The outdoor wedding reception was beautiful. The rustic flowers lined the aisleways and arch they got married under. The barn was decorated with details that the bride and groom had worked on for over a year. The couple and their families came together to make the strawberry jam that served as the escort cards as well as the party favors. They sure did spread the love! The wedding party entered the barn dancing to a country line dance and of course country music was played all evening long. The couples wedding vendors were the glue that held the wedding together, they were a huge part of making their day one they would never forget."

Fabulous Escort Cards Displays

In any wedding, there is a select group of details that I love to see and one of them is an escort table. I know on top of all the other elements that make up a fabulous wedding this is one more to add on the list, but it's well worth it and will make for a great experience. Your escort card table and your escort cards are one of the first things your guests will see at your reception, and they can set the mood for the rest of the evening. To make sure your friends and family make it to their perfectly arranged seats, I've rounded up some of the best escort-table ideas out there. They're all stunning and practical. See if you can find one that'll work for your wedding, or use these ideas as inspiration to create your own. Enjoy!

Create a display of hanging ribbons and beads to display your escort cards. You can use trees or branches, or build up a custom made structure.

If you wish to display your escort cards in a table, my recommendation is to decorate with a fabulous big centerpiece, like any of these.

Hanging Flowers- Part 2

As I mentioned before in Hanging Flowers- Part 1, when it comes to your wedding florals, hanging doesn’t have to happen in the entire ceiling. Instead you can hang some flowers from chandeliers, branches or trees to decorate your venue. In this part of the series, I focus on floral chandeliers. Regular chandeliers add a touch of elegance to any wedding, whether a rustic outdoor fete or a classic ballroom event. Bring flowers into the mix and you'll get pure bliss!

Here are 5 ways to add signs to your nuptials!

Pink Wonderland Wedding Decor

I have a guilty pleasure secret. I like to watch the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

And this week I saw how RHOBH star Lisa Vanderpump threw a lavish wedding for her daughter Pandora, and groom Jason on the grounds of their home in Beverly Hills and I have to share it with you. But, even if you don’t watch the show, but happen to be a hopeless romantic, this is one wedding I guarantee you’ll adore.

Event planner, Kevin Lee (who inspired Martin Short’s character, Franck Egglehoffer in “Father of the Bride”) and his team from LA Premier, pull off a beautiful affair. He transforms the tennis courts into a luxury resort with chandeliers, columns of flowers and elegant table settings. It was a pink fairy wonderland! (Images Sources: 1, 2 and 4 , 3)

Notice how there's only a couple accents of pink, like a few flowers and the napkins. Everything else is actually white or silver. The lighting is the element tat creates this pink wonderland effect without overwhelming the decor... Genius! (Images Sources: left, right)

Combining various types of centerpieces, linen and chairs within the same color palette plus adding tables in different shapes is the way to go on wedding decor. This simple step brings texture and dimension to any type of reception... you may want to try it on your own nuptials!
