Cotton-Themed Wedding : Rustic Elegance

This Colorado stunner is the perfect example of a rustic elegance done right. Think bridesmaids in cowboy boots, a bride in glamourous white pumps, and lots of cotton flown in from Georgia. Not only is this southwest fête as darling as they come but it's also overflowing with the type of charm you can't only get when you tie the knot against the gorgeous mountains and bright blue skies of Colorado. Captured all by Two One Photography, theses DIY-inspired, budget-friendly + totally effortless nuptials are such a pretty way to wrap up our week... don't you think?

From the Photographer... Jordan and Rusch were such a cute couple and they had so many friends and family to support them on their big day. They were married on a late summer morning at The Manor House in Littleton, CO. There were so many great details that were a part of their charming wedding. Again, they literally had cotton flown in from Georgia. The pecan pies and plethora of southern treats were made by Perrie Bonner from Lost Valley Ranch. The cake and flowers were from Costco. Jordan’s father was quite a hoot as well, he had a great wig he wore for the father/daughter dance which was hilarious. The wig ended up getting passed around the dance party.

Romantic Picnic Engagement Session

It was love at first sight, not just for the couple but for myself, upon first seeing this lovely engagement session. We love picnics as a theme for engagement photos... There is something so sweet and intimate about an al-fresco rendezvous for two. And when you have someone like Rebecca Ford from S&RCreationZ Photography to capture your e-session and to surprise you with an upgraded picnic set, then the result is just breath-taking.

From the photographer... I met with Kari and Kev prior to their session to discuss some ideas with them. I asked them what they would like to involve in their session. They told me they had always fantasized about having a picnic together in a park surrounded by trees, and that even just some trees in their images would be amazing!! SO. The shopping began and I surprised them this week with a GORGEOUS picnic set up for their session!! These two are truly truly in love, it just radiates from them. I would have been able to tell how in love they are, without even having a conversation with them because they are just so incredibly wrapped up in each other it is so adorable!

Gatsby Glamour Inspired Wedding

Imagine a Vintage classically gorgeous soiree in the heart of San Francisco, and Nikki Ritcher Photography better come to mind. The memories their camera's have witnessed act as our icing on the Wedding Wednesday cake. It’s the definition of a Great Gatsby ballroom beauty – full of glamour dreams are made of, full of sophisticated city romance and full of chic vintage feel.

From the photographer... From Paris to San Francisco with love. Sara and Manu met in France while Sara finished her studies abroad. They immediately fell in love and when Manu proposed to Sara, she knew she had to take the nuptials back home to her roots. Their wedding was held at the beautiful Julia Morgan Ballroom in the heart of the financial district in San Francisco. They both wanted to achieve the feeling and essence of the city. The reception was held on the top floor with orante flowers and extravagant food in abundance. They also had to bring in a renowned dancer during the reception to fulfill her cultural background and traditions. The party didn't stop until 2am, as friends from near and far danced the night away!

Romona Keveza - aka one of my favorite bridal designers - sent out a color and drama infused lineup of wedding dresses... perfect for spring! Ranging from a blue silk taffeta strapless number to a blush silk organza princess-gown, the pieces in Keveza's new collection take you on a tour through time, drawing inspiration from the 1800's into the future. As for the grand finale, there was a dreamy nude ballgown in all-over drop-crystal beading, which we have selected as our Dress of the Week (2 first pics below).

Romantic Oregon Engagement Session

From the Photographer... When Catherine messaged me and asked if I was available to photograph her and her finance, Aaron's engagement photos I was floored! And as we began planning the shoot I knew it would be nothing short of amazing. Catherine was the confident, lover of people who reached out to me when I first began attending my church in Oregon and Aaron & I went on a Spring Break missions trip together last year. As a few of the only "college age" brave enough to board the bus full of middle school & high school age students venturing to Camp Harlow & then to the GC conference Aaron & I had a lot of laughs. And as we went about the night, Chris & I photographing this amazing couple, we all shared lots of laughs and had an incredible time.

Aaron & Catherine decided where their shoot would take place and I LOVE it when my couples do this. Not only do they get photos that are 100% "them" but I also get to explore all sorts of new places and spaces, and this couldnt make me happier. I'm so excited for these two and can't wait for their wedding this October... it's going to be a party, no doubt!

If the weather is right, there’s nothing like an outdoor wedding – whether it’s a ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception – the scenery is incomparable. And although a garden setting delivers plenty of charm all on it’s own, a few glamorous accents never hurt. And one of my favorite glamy accents has to be a good chandelier – they’re oh-so-sparkly and romantic, and they bring a touch of vintage sophistication to any celebration.... basically they're pure magic!
