It is time for a change of scene. Not sure what happens next, but I gotta be ready.

You know it is too hot when The Walking Whiskey has two brawls in one night. The Belle Weather loves the fact that Dale was part of one. Really, who would’ve thought that uptight, snot-nosed, holier-than-thou Dale could throw a punch. TBW saw it happen, people, and it really did have to be seen to be believed.

That boy needs a real girlfriend. Soon.

Any of you remember Dale’s high school sweetheart? Cela is back in town for reasons no one can guess. What TBW remembers is how Dale dumped her about 5 minutes after her sister’s funeral. Now that was sad and messy as many of you may recall. But he was such a little prig back then. Oh, now, you know he’s lightened up a bit. Come on, dear readers, you know he has.

Not that Cela gave him the time of day. The Belle Weather wouldn’t either in her shoes, but TBW saw no reason for her boyfriend to give Dale a hard time. TBW truly believes Dale has seen the error of his priggish ways. Really. Poor guy.

It’s been too hot for many around here to get into much noteworthy trouble. Which is a shame. The Belle Weather has been bored. Where are the bad husbands and crazy wives? Where are the terrible children? The Belle Weather does not know.

Oh, well, Gina is still with her married man, but that’s old news. Paul and Valerie seem to be working things out. Charlie G is back in rehab–how many times is that? Anyone know? TBW doesn’t know why he spends the money.

Rumor has it that some of the girls at The Red Moon have been nude sunbathing behind the house. TBW isn’t sure this is really news considering who the girls are, but this rumor has also not been confirmed. Pictures would be best, of course. Guys? Can you help TBW out? Kidding. Kidding!

The heat is getting to everyone.

There is devotion and there is stalking. The Belle Weather knows the difference. Devotion understands boundaries and never threatens. Other people envy devotion. The Belle Weather certainly wouldn’t mind a little more devotion thrown this way.

Stalking violates boundaries and threatens by its mere presence. No one covets stalking. The Belle Weather experienced stalking once, and found it most disagreeable to TBW’s otherwise fun lifestyle.

Some folks round these parts did suggest that the adorable Miles was actually stalking the lovely Mercie, to which The Belle Weather can only sigh in exasperation. He takes her to lunch at least once a week, people! And she has been seen strolling downtown with him on more than once occasion. And while he stops by to see her at work whenever he can, TBW has it on good authority that he never shows up at her front door uninvited.

Compare that to the high school football player who thought it romantic to email nude pictures of his girlfriend to all his friends. That may not be stalking, but devotion it ain’t. Of course, that photo will be stalking that little twit for some time.

The Belle Weather is go grateful that camera phones and the internet came around long after TBW matured! TBW did not need that kind of foolish opportunity back in the day!

Seems that the wife of Gina’s married boyfriend isn’t the quiet type. In fact, it seems like she’s the public revenge type. Although for The Belle Weather’s money, she could’ve done better than Travis K. TBW means–anyone could do better than Travis. No amount money makes up for that kind of personality deficit. Oh, but then TBW supposes she wasn’t looking for personality, was she?

In other news, Miles is ending his business arrangement with his sister just so he can stay here in Lake Belle and follow Mercie W around like a puppy. Awfully cute puppy–The Belle Weather would cuddle with that puppy any day. He must’ve meant it when he said he’d wait a year for her to come around to his way of thinking. Why he wants go be so devoted to a girl who’s sworn not to date in any way shape or form FOR A YEAR, is beyond TBW. Why she wants to keep such a silly pledge when she could have him do ANYTHING to please her, is also beyond TBW.

If a person was walking down the street holding hands with another, that person can hardly claim privacy, don’t you think? What is private about a public street? And so The Belle Weather would like to suggest that it is not necessary, in fact, it may be rude, for such a person walking down the public street to corner TBW in a gas station parking lot and carry on about privacy rights and rumor mongers.

TBW fails to see how it is mongering to observe what is happening in full daylight. And privacy rights? Are you kidding? TBW hadn’t had enough champagne yet for that kind of joke.

So, Gina, if you’ve decided to see a married man, don’t take your moral quandary out on The Belle Weather.

Really, correct The Belle Weather if The Belle Weather is wrong (as if ever!), but was Gina G. seen walking downtown today with a one Russ M.? And again, do correct if this information is flawed (ha), but isn’t that particular Russ M., oh, married? Everyone knows full well that Gina’s boundaries are not necessarily as closely drawn as other people’s, but TBW must say that TBW thought married folks were outside those boundaries.

Far be it for The Belle Weather to make any judgments about boundaries–plenty of you folks are familiar with how open TBW’s boundaries often are–but married? Marrieds ought to be not only on the other side of the strongest side of the boundary but also on the other side of an ocean, continent, and planet. Unfortunately some marrieds do like to get just where they ought not be–like most people if you think about it.

But TBW did think Gina wiser than that.

Seems like Paul’s wife is back. Finally we say. Is that woman crazy to leave her husband pining for so long? Really. The Belle Weather thinks the woman is lucky he’s still hers to take back. TBW knows of several ladies who would’ve been happy to fill that role. But some men will be loyal, and some woman will not be grateful.

The Belle Weather, on the other hand, is always grateful to those who stick around.

The Belle Weather would just like to observe that kissing is better with fireworks. So is champagne. Just wanted to say.

All right, so The Belle Weather may think Dale is a fool, but a sweet fool. He gave those flowers to his mother, and we all know that woman doesn’t deserve it. Think Dale is messed up? Go meet his mother.

What is The Belle Weather doing up at this hour? Oh, the sun! Keep it away. TBW doesn’t do wrinkles, you know.
