September 2009 Performance At Kira’s

September 11th is a hafla (bellydance party) at Kira’s. This one has a gaggle of ladies performing – including our own advanced troupe! Another bonus, live music from the group Il Troubadore from Indianapolis.

Notes about Kira’s:

Kira owns a nice studio and will play music to rock the night away. You’ll see a few performances, and have the opportunity to go out and get your groove on, or simply sit back and watch everyone else. The crowd is very welcoming; if you see someone doing something cool, you can simply start asking questions and they’ll usually teach you. The cost for admission is $5 – which covers snacks that Kira supplies. There’s a soda machine on site, and Kira has a BYOB policy (which many do, but it’s still a calm enough crowd that you can bring children if you wish).

If you’ve never been to Kira’s, there’s a membership form (free – release waiver) that you’ll need to fill out.

Fintan Band Get Together

Monday August 17th at 7p.m. Karen will be playing at Ryan’s Tavern in Hamilton with Fintan Band. You may know Karen, from our beginner class, and if you don’t, check the picture on their website.

Many class members and ladies from the troupe I perform with are going (feel free to bring the family); if you want to join us simply show up! We will not be performing, just hanging out and enjoying the music.

Bellydance Sessions Summer 2009

The Summer class sessions for beginner and advanced bellydance are scheduled to start the week of June 1^st at the Fairfield Community Arts Center. Details and registration forms are available on the FCAC website (goto Activities, Classes, Classes A-Z, then look for Bellydance).

Notice: The advanced class has moved to Monday for the summer session.

Be sure to register to ensure that FCAC has enough students on the roster to ensure classes make!

Reminder! There will be no beginning belly dance classes next Wednesday, May 6^th. We will hold make-up classes on Monday, May 18^th from 5 to 6 p.m.

Or, you can choose to attend an after class session on Wednesday, May 20^th from 6 to 7 p.m. This after class session will be held in the basement. There are no mirrors in the basement — we will plan on some core strengthening using the stability balls while we’re down there!

Greek Night April 2009

Kosta’s Greek Isles is having a Greek night on Saturday, April 25^th 2009, and Brandy will be performing. Festivities typically begin around 10pm and reservations are required.
