Wow.. it has been a long couple of months filled with some ups and down - but I am happy to report - I'm Back! Not quite in the full swing of things yet but I should be soon... and what better way to come back than with an AWESOME announcement?!?!?!

Just a quick pop in to wish you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I am still trying to get unpacked here at the new house. We have been dealing with some family health issues and such, mix in the holidays and the move - well it has just been CRAZY!!!

I hope to be back up and running at full speed by the middle of the month!!! Until then, I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for supporting Beloved Keepsakes through the year 2011!

Can you believe we are only a week out from Christmas?!?!? Crazy I know!!! And here we are a week out - and I am in the same place I was last year -total deja vu!!! Yep that's right, I am up to my eyeballs in boxes!!!

We have arrived at the new house and in the new town in middle GA! Hubby has started his new job - and now I just have to get this place unpacked!!! YES I was in this same situation a year ago!!! (I am praying we will be here for a little while longer this time??!!)

Having said that - I probably will not be around until after the first of the new year! Hopefully my studio will be unpacked and I will be able to hit the cutting and keepsake world running!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!! I hope you had a WONDERFUL day full of friends, family, warm memories and FULL belly's!!!

First of all, I want to apologize to everyone for the fact I haven't been around very much lately.... but... WE ARE MOVING - yet again... sigh!!! Yep, the US Army has deemed it is time for hubby to come plan for someone else and we are moving!!! It has been quite hectic as this move is taking place - NEXT WEEK!!! Wow - I am sooo excited!!!! We are only four days away to Nov 18th - and do you know what that means?!?!?

Happy Halloween...

Wow... this Halloween is so much different than last years.... Last year we lived in a neighborhood who embraced Halloween and we all came together and ate together, decorated together and just a had a great time.

Here's a few photos from a few years ago...

This year we live in a neighborhood where not ONE SINGLE person has put up a Halloween decoration! I don't even know if we will have trick or treater's... it is sad......

The good thing is that even though those around me don't seem to be in a "scary" mood - I still find the ambition to create some designs just for today!!!

"Make a Wish" Contest...

Did you know that in the VDBC Store you can add products to your Wish list??? Yep - you sure can!!! All you have to do is sign up (or if you are already a customer sign in) and start browsing away. Once you find a product you like - you just push the button to add it to your "Wish list" ....

Kind of cool - this way you can keep up with all the products you "wish" you had! Maybe you can't afford them right now, or don't think you have a need for a design but you really like it or maybe you want to wait for a sale! This feature will allow you to keep up with ALL your favorite designs!

To help you get a little more familiar with this process- I am going to challenge you to "Make a Wish"....

All you have to do is add your favorite Beloved Keepsakes Designs to your "wish list". Then on Sunday night, Oct 16th I will chose one product from my (Beloved Keepsakes) designs - who ever has that item on their wish list will WIN the "Make a Wish" contest. (If more than one person has that item in their wish list I will do a random drawing from the names that have that product on their list.)

3rd Annual VDBC Anniversary Party is COMING.....

Have you heard the news???? The 3rd VDBC Anniversary Party is coming.... that's right!!! It is on it way..... Things will start popping up at the forum this week and the BIG party is going to be NEXT weekend!!!! Make sure you mark your calendar 'cause you are going to want to play with us all day - Saturday Oct 14th!!! There will be tons of freebies, a blog hop, tons of games and challenges and some awesome prizes!!!!

To kick the 3rd Annual VDBC Anniversary Party off.... I am hosting a challenge!!!! (I wanted to post it early to make sure everyone had enough time to partipate!!!! So there are NO excuses!!! LOL)

So.... Welcome to the Beloved K's Grand Theft Challenge!!!

So here is the deal... To enter this challenge you need to visit the VDBC Gallery and choose someone's project or layout that you want to "scrap lift"! Anyone's will do!!!!

Then complete your own project/layout based on the one you lifted. (You know they say that copying is the sincerest form of flattery!!! Bahaha!!!)

When completed you need to go to THIS VDBC forum thread and post your scrap-lifted layout/project that you completed along with the layout/project (or link) that you scrap-lifted....

For every entry to the challenge you will receive ONE entry in the drawing for a "Glue Art’s Sticky Prize Pack"! (Retail Value is $45!!!)

If your scrap-lifted layout includes one of MY DESIGNS you get TWO entries for each layout.

And if the layout you scrap-lifted has a Beloved Keepsake Design you will get THREE entries for that layout!

All layouts MUST BE submitted by Midnight Sunday, Oct 16th!!! The drawing and the winner will be announced on Monday, Oct 17th!!!

Boy Time Flies...

When you are having fun?!?!!? Right??? Ok - maybe not fun - but time flies that is for sure!!! So days I wish I had a just a few more hours!!! LOL

Sorry I missed out on posting yesterday but I was BUSY in the studio working hard on trying to finish up my latest 3D item for all my customers out there!!! This one really kept me busy... I think all together I have spent about 6 hours tweaking the final design and getting it to cut "like butter".... and FINALLY it is done.... Just in the nick of time!!!

If you are planning a Halloween event I think you will love this design - but it can be used for soo soooo soooo many other things (like weddings, bridal showers and birthdays!!)!! Ohhhh I am soooo excited....

I just have to finish up the cutting instruction and conversions and I hope to get it uploaded into the store later on this evening!!! JOY!!!! (And for all my friends out there that do not have a cutting machine, this design will include a PDF so you can print and cut assemble yourself!! You will just need to use your own scissors in place of a cutting machine!! Yippee!!)

Thus I need to head out and get it all ready to go..... but before I do - well heck I can't resist.... here is a little "sneak peek"!!!

World Card Making Day Showcase by...

VDBC and "The More Team"!

Can you believe it is "World Card Making" Day?!?!? Like who knew?!!?? Now for me, I am a pure 110% scrapbooker and not so much a card maker..... Don't get me wrong - I can spend hours and hours (much to hubby's dismay) in the card shop looking at cards and giggling. And I LOVE getting cards in the mail... but when it comes to making them.... well I am just plain out lacking!!!

That doesn't mean that I don't get request - ALL THE TIME - for you my wonderful customers asking me to make cards.... cause I do.... but card making just doesn't seem to be my thing. And let me just say - when I do make cards - they tend to be a little less serious than most folks cards.....

For example my "Uplifting Card"....

I thought this card was a great way to tell a friend how much of a "supports" she is to you!!! Bahahaaha!!!

And then of course there is the "I'm Behind You" Card I designed...

I mean who doesn't like to hear how much you are behind them?!?!?!

I guess my take on cards is that they don't always have to be soooo serious! Laughter is best kind of medicine and hey if I can make someone smile even for just an instant - It was worth it!
