Scholarship Description: The Radiotherapy department of the UMCG treats approximately 3,600 patients per year. It is staffed by 180 employees from a range of disciplines. Equipment in the department currently includes seven linear accelerators for megavoltage photon and electron radiation treatments and apparatus for photon and electron dosimetry. The UMCG is preparing for a clinical facility to provide proton radiation therapy on its campus, because this treatment modality offers a considerable advance in conforming the treatment dose to the target and thereby reducing side effects for the patient. A very good knowledge of the absolute radiation dose is a prerequisite to achieve this.
The Kernfysisch Versneller Instituut (KVI) is a national institute for research in the fields of fundamental and applied atomic and subatomic physics. It is an interfaculty institute of the University of Groningen and its 120 staff members are employed partly by the university and partly by the NWO Foundation for Fundamental Research on Matter (FOM). KVI and UMCG are partners in PARTREC, Particle Therapy Research Centre, a centre established to optimize the use of particle irradiations in radiation oncology.
The Sumitro Fellows program honors Dr. Sumitro Djojohadikusumo, Indonesia’s senior economist and advisor to USINDO. One Fellowship is available for United States citizens/permanent resident for research relating to the political economy of Indonesia. The other is for an Indonesian citizen with a project related to the Indonesian-United States relationship.
The United States – Indonesia Society (USINDO) invites U.S. and Indonesian citizens to apply for the 2010 Sumitro Fellowship, a travel/study grant for post-doctoral scholars, Ph.D. candidates, senior academics, and otherwise professionally qualified candidates to engage in field research on projects related to the Indonesia-United States bilateral relationship.
The Sumitro Fellows program honors Dr. Sumitro Djojohadikusumo, Indonesia’s senior economist and advisor to USINDO, who passed away in 2001. An architect of Indonesia’s modern economy, Professor Sumitro headed the faculty of economics at the University of Indonesia, and was later a minister of trade and minister of state for research. Professor Sumitro was also the driving force behind a 1950’s program of the Ford Foundation which sent Indonesian economists to the U.S. for advanced degrees. Many attended the University of California at Berkeley and the group came to be known as the “Berkeley Mafia” when its members assumed key cabinet posts in subsequent decades.
Eligibility: Applicants for the U.S. Sumitro Fellowship must be United States citizens or permanent residents in the United States with a specific project on Indonesia’s political economy. Applications outside the scope of economics or political economy will not be considered. Applicants for the Indonesian Sumitro Fellowship must be Indonesian citizens with a specific project on any aspect of the Indonesian-U.S. bilateral relationship. Applications related strictly to American topics, or non U.S./non-Asian themes will not be considered. Applicants will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age and/or physical impairment. Applicants must also be capable of advanced study in English. Evidence of English fluency may be demonstrated by TOEFL scores.
Employer: IAPO
Level:Masters, PhD
Fellowship Description:Fox International Fellowship Program aims to identify and contribute to the education of outstanding students and identify “citizen ambassadors” who, by virtue of their academic and extracurricular record, can be expected in the future to participate in guiding the world toward a more peaceful order. The FIFP, therefore, funds both the proposal and the “person.” Grant awards include airfare, a stipend for housing and living expenses for a period of one year, health insurance and funds for some in-country travel related to research.
Eligibility: Graduate level students pursuing Doctoral or Masters level degrees, graduating master’s level students are eligible.

Selection criteria:
Personal characteristics. The candidate must demonstrate commitment to serious research and also capacity for leadership and civic engagement in the larger community.
Demonstrated commitment to serious research, and a potential for leadership. The main objective of the program is to identify and help foster potential “citizen ambassadors” who will participate in guiding the world toward a more peaceful order, thus we are funding both the proposal and the “person.”
Competition is open to graduate and professional students, graduating graduate students and graduating seniors conducting research in economics, political science, international relations, law, business and finance, management, environmental policy or contemporary history, with preference for topics of contemporary, applied, institutional relevance to issues of war and peace, economic growth or stagnation. The candidates may come from different disciplines and departments as long as their project focuses on a blend of one of these fields.
Students wishing to study at Yale must demonstrate proficiency in the English language.
** Please note that applications from international students proposing research projects in their country of origin are not eligible (ie, US citizens are not eligible to apply for a fellowship at Yale). We prefer to receive applications from students who have not spent a significant amount of time in the US previously.
thanks in advance, and this is her tutorial, down here:

Facebook, the site's most popular social networking services, recently released a new feature that is Faebook Like. If previously button "Like" is only visible on the site up only (for instance under a user's Facebook status updates), with this feature a user up to show my love / like directly on the site outside Facebook. But of course only on sites / blogs that put this button.

Actually, on a site up already available tools to get the code that could be placed on the website / blog (please see here). But unfortunately, at the option URL to Like in that tool, we can only specify a static URL, can not be read automatically the URL of each article / blog pages (dynamic URL). For that we need a little modification of code that can be can be up it.
for how it works: Please log in, go to Layout, then click Edit Template, tick the Expand Widget Templates option. Search <data:post.body/> code in your template, then the above / below pairs this code:
