Hollywood superstars which includes Miley Cyrus (who recently got slammed for the video which is now known as the Miley Cyrus lap dance) aren't setting a good example. People are questioning: Who were the ones drilling these girls into perfecting these raunchy moves? The energy into those high kicks could be utilized on the soccer field instead, some say, rather than preparing for a video vixen career.

To be honest, it is also the outfits that have us slightly grossed out. So much skin on such little children. Yet still, when you think about it – when have dance attires ever been conservative? The more revealing – the flashier, right? This is sorry to say how the show parents educate their own kids. It is all about catching people’s eyes… regardless of how inappropriate it is.

You can watch the clip to decide for yourself, but think about when you laughed at Abigail Breslin’s character performing a strip tease in Little Miss Sunshine. Sure, she was not as sexed up but it’s the thought that counts… isn’t it? Are you going to laugh again next time you pop that DVD in? The Philippine election results are hinting at a landslide victory by Senator Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, who currently leads the pack after 40% of the votes are already tallied. In the vice presidential race, Binay, Estrada's running mate, got 5,881,127 votes (40.63 percent) while Liberal Party's Sen. Mar Roxas emmerged second with 5,310,355 votes (36.68 percent), reported by the Comelec.

Villar's running companion Sen. Loren Legarda arrived 3rd with 1,542,687 votes (10.65 percent), succeeded by Bayani Fernando with 422,607 votes (2.91 percent), and Lakas-Kampi-CMD's Eduardo Manzano with 249,025 votes (1.72 percent).

Bangon Pilipinas' Perfecto Yasay came in sixth with 144,471 votes (0.99 percent), while former broadcaster Jay Sonza came next with 24,616 votes (0.17 percent). Finishing last was Dominador Chipeco of Ang Kapatiran with 17, 971 (0.012 percent) votes.

The figures represent 35.38 percent of precincts across the country, the earliest official batch of Philippine election results transmitted to Comelec servers, as of 9:45 p.m.

The Comelec mentioned about 75 percent of all registered voters cast their votes on Monday. The figure transposes to about 37.5 million of the 50 million registered voters for the May polls, as per Comelec chairman Jose Melo.

The format of “Secret Girlfriend’’ is pretty cool. The protagonist of this new Comedy Central series is the invisible guy who’s holding the camera. We never see him, or hear from him; but all the other characters - his two buddies, his ex-girlfriend, his new love interest - look at him and talk to him and call him “you.’’ And as they do that, they’re breaking the fourth wall and addressing us. They pull us into the show as if we’re at its center.

This technique in “Secret Girlfriend,’’ which premieres tonight at 10:30, reminds me of Jay McInerney’s use of the second-person voice in his novel “Bright Lights, Big City.’’ By positioning the audience itself as a young, male character, both the novel and the TV show have an interactive, post-modern tone. We aren’t just watching objectively as a story unfolds; we’re pulled into a highly subjective situation, drawn inside the conflicts of the protagonist’s mind. Each segment of “Secret Girl- friend’’ opens with a subtitle worded in the second person, such as “You and Your Ex Call It Quits.’’

But alas, “Secret Girlfriend’’ doesn’t promise to do anything interesting with its inventive approach. Inside this provocatively self-conscious setup lies a bunch of masturbation jokes, at least in the premiere. The script is built on viral-video-sized gags wrapped in teen-boy fantasies about strip clubs and dangerous women with big breasts. It’s like “Entourage’’ without glamor, heart, or Ari, and it’s like “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’’ without the twisted wit. Also, the super-fast-editing style, and the way each episode is broken into two separate 11-minute-long plots, only makes the material feel even more weightless.

The nameless protagonist runs with a pair of overly familiar slacker dudes, Phil (Derek Miller) and Sam (Michael Blaiklock), whose goal in life is to get hits on their “Jackass’’-style YouTube clips. At the same time, he deals with a stalking, borderline ex-girlfriend named Mandy (Alexis Krause) who goes insane with jealousy at the thought of his new friend, Jessica (Sara E.R. Fletcher). She’s a stereotypical ex-zilla. The only peek at the protagonist we actually get is when he looks at his phone to send texts to his friends and lovers, and we read them.

The idea of a guy behind the glass lens of a video camera watching his crazy social life unfold has the potential to tap into ideas about lives spent online. The 20-something hero of “Secret Girlfriend’’ is so passive and disconnected, he’s a comic, or sad, or wise, or overly careful, or tragically empty figure. Maybe he’s getting ready to leave his prolonged adolescence behind? Maybe he’s coming of age, like so many of the slacker heroes in Judd Apatow movies?

That’s where the show finds its most engaging subject matter, in the tiny, telling glimpses of the man behind the curtain. “Secret Girlfriend’’ could add up to something worthwhile, with more of that kind of elliptical character revelation and fewer generic dirty-boy adventures. Ultimately, I want to know more about “you,’’ not them.

Conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh [Limbaugh's site] was rushed to a Honolulu hospital on Wednesday afternoon with chest pains, sources told KITV.

Paramedics responded to the call at 2:41 p.m. [7:41 PM EST] at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

Limbaugh, 58, suffered from chest pains, sources said. Limbaugh was sitting in a chair in his ninth-floor hotel room at the Kahala when emergency crews arrived, sources said. He told medical crews that he was taking medication for a back problem, sources said.

Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition. He will not be released from the hospital on Wednesday night, sources said.

He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort...

Black Friday 2009 deals, Walmart Saturday sales, and many exciting Black Friday ads are making shoppers excited for the Black Friday shopping experience. Are you trying to find out what deals can be had this holiday shopping center, well look no further.

If you can’t make it out to the store, there are plenty of Walmart online specials to be had. This week, you can get a Nintendo DS Lite value pack for $149. The pack comes with the Nintendo DS plus an accessory kit and an Indiana Jones game. You can also get a Toshiba laptop for $398. The laptop is currently out of stock online, but the deal is also available in stores.

Walmart also has some Saturday Sales. The Walmart Saturday sales give people ways to get deals before the Black Friday holiday. Check out your local ads for more details, as some deals differ by markets.

Black Friday deals during the 2009 shopping season should include great deals on laptops, netbooks, digital cameras, gaming systems, Blu-ray players, video games, and much, much more. Walmart promises that they will amp up their crowd control in order to avoide the same problems that they had last year. Last year, a temporary employee was trampeled to death by a crowd.

Sears also has weekly Black Friday sales. These sales are called “Black Friday Now” and are popular each and every Saturday morning.

Modern Warfare 2 Sales,Modern Warfare 2 Sales Predictions:Today is November 10th, 2009 and it represents the day when all Call of Duty fans can rejoice because a new version of the game is available: Modern Warfare 2. free car media

Want to get paid to drive your car? Get in line. Free Car Media is the latest craze for people seeking extra cash — and that’s 98 percent of the population.

It’s a fabulous idea. Free Car Media says people can get paid to drive cars that have large advertisements emblazoned on them. It makes total sense; advertisers are willing to pay a lot of money to get their names and images out there. But the secret is out. A lot of people are applying to get paid to drive through Free Car Media. So many that the site is crashing.
Why so much hype about getting paid to drive?

Free Car Media says on its home page that drivers could get paid up to $900 per month to have an advertisement affixed to their car. That’s a pretty hefty chunk of change and would probably prevent a lot of people from needing cash advances.

Also, I read a story at Matzav.com that says some advertisers actually give the driver the car, custom paint job or full-body advertising decal in place. MyFreeCar.com won’t necessarily hook you up with this type of deal, though. So why is it called MyFreeCar? Drew Livingston, president of Free Car Media, says:

“They don’t actually get a free car,” Livingston says. “But the monthly payment is generally enough to cover their auto expenses like car payment, gas, etc., for the month, so that’s where the name comes from.”
Beware of copycats

It doesn’t cost drivers to sign up for Free Car Media, and just as I suspected there are sites out there that advertise the same service for a fee. Livingston says:

“There are a lot of unscrupulous companies that want to charge you $20, $30 or more when you can get this information yourself for free. I get calls on a weekly basis from people who are upset because they were scammed,” he says. Livingston says that anyone who is directed to his site after paying a fee to another service should demand a refund.

The advertisers with Free Car Media at myfreecar.com generally pay $700 to $900 per month, which would, indeed, cover driving expenses and then some for most drivers.
Free Car Media marketing strategy

If the idea of getting paid to drive your car sounds like a hoax or a too-good-to-be-true kind of arrangement, it makes sense if you look at it from a marketing standpoint. From Matzav:

What does the company get out of this type of ad strategy? Lots of exposure. The auto wraps tend to be colorful and eye-catching and attract lots of attention. Plus, it’s a form of advertising with a captive audience, meaning people who are stuck in traffic and can’t avoid seeing the wrapped car alongside them.

So why isn’t everyone doing this? Well, they are trying. But Free Car Media can only help a certain number of people get paid to drive. Advertisers have the luxury of being picky, too. Matsav says:

The companies usually select drivers who live in desirable locations such as high-traffic, urban areas. A company’s ideal driver can vary depending upon the target demographic they want to reach.

If you fit these specifications and don’t mind driving a car that has a billboard for a paint job, go ahead and sign up to get paid to drive at Free Car Media or myfreecar.

The biggest holiday gift question could be - Where to Buy Zhu Zhu Pet Hamsters?! Zhu Zhu Pet Hamsters sale locations are being sought as the Hamsters suddenly become 2009’s possible hottest holiday shopping toy.

At $10 a hamster, Zhu Zhu pets are selling out … even now in early November. Toys R Us Bob Friedland says “They are definitely a hot item”.

Reports say the Zhu Zhu Pet Hamsters are reselling online for at least 300%. The Zhu Zhu Pet Hamsters are robotic. Parents tell AP this week that basically, if you find one in a store, buy it ASAP.

The hamster is from Cepia Inc. and retails at $9.99. And once you find the Zhu Zhu Pet Hamsters, then you aren’t done. You need the car, the carrier, all the accessories that add on. Parents say they have been shopping for the Zhu Zhu for over a month, returning to stores sometimes half a dozen times until they get it.

Hurricane Ida continues to move north-northwestward in the Gulf of Mexico. It is weakening as it gets over cooler waters in the central and northern Gulf. The storm will bring West Alabama some gusty winds up to 40 mph tonight through early Wednesday morning, and some possibly heavy rain. Those higher winds are more likely in southern sections of our viewing area… Marengo, Perry and Sumter Counties.

The past week has seen her name smeared across the Internet alongside words like “dirty,” “despicable,” and “diplodocus.” OK, not that last one. Her punching and hair pulling has been shown on repeat on ‘Sportscenter’ and ‘Entertainment Tonight,’ and ‘NewsHour with Jim Lehrer.’ OK, maybe not that last one. But Google as you might, she has not yet made a public appearance. The ‘Today Show’ just ran the footage all over again.

Interviewer: Have you apologized to the Brigham Young players you attacked?

EL: First, let's be clear about this - I attacked no one. I competed. Second - whatever conversations I may have had with anyone from BYU are none of your business.

Int: Would you care to apologize to the millions who were appalled by your performance in the MWC semifinals?

EL: No. And you want to know why? Because that's the way I roll. (Looking into the camera) You want to try to score on the Lobos? Pack a lunch and grow a sack because you are going to have to come through me, and I'm going to be there all day. (Turn to the interviewer) You think all these lights and cameras are going to turn me into some repentant and whiny sack of tear-soaked, quivering blubber? Think again, Uncle Nimrod. This is who I am, and that video is what I do. You don't like it? Get over yourself.

Int: Are you really saying that you'll do that again if given the opportunity?

EL: Yes. That's exactly what I'm saying. I'm not fun to play against. If that scares the girls of the Mountain West Conference, that's too bad.

That's it. Take the microphone off and walk out. Done. Matt Lauer's win this morning on the Today Show was to make you cry. He wants to humanize you. Don't let that happen. Don't give him the satisfaction. Hold your inner bad-ass close and don't give her up for anyone - especially not a dithering boob like Lauer. He loves to take easy shots at people unsure of themselves in the media, so I hope you looked him in the eye and told him to get bent.

Lambert has a chance to carve a niche for herself in the American cultural landscape. Fame has been thrust upon her, and that can be uncomfortable. Battling through that discomfort is a challenge, but it can be lucrative and fun. She should embrace this opportunity and ride the wave as long as she can. Or at least be honest. Anyone who did what she did as many times as Lambert did it can't come out and say that it was a momentary lapse of judgment unless that moment lasted through damn near the whole game.

That noise Liz hears is opportunity knocking. To apologize would reveal her as normal. You don't make a name for yourself or any cash by being normal.

Be strong, Liz. You can teach all of us about how to use the media rather than be manipulated by it. If Oprah calls, tell her you're busy. If she can get Tom Cruise to jump up and down on a couch, she can reduce you to tears with a single critical glance.

Boston Herald: Boston honors Marine heroes:

Nearly 2,000 active duty and former Marines filled the Boston Convention and Exposition Center yesterday to join the Boston Semper Fidelis Society’s 22nd annual celebration of the Marine Corps birthday, and to honor fallen Bay State service members.

Among the special guests were Marine Corps Commandant Gen. James T. Conway and 12 Medal of Honor Recipients, including 100-year-old San Diego-based Pearl Harbor hero John Finn.

Red Sox [team stats] manager Terry Francona was also on hand to present Timothy B. Sullivan, a Department of Veterans’ Services employee, South Shore resident and retired U.S. Navy Commander, with the Society’s Ted Williams Globe and Anchor Award, one of the Marine Corps’ highest honors, presented each year to a non-Marine for his dedication and commitment to excellence.

Miss Hawaii USA 2010 : More Like Filipinas to Me

Miss Hawaii USA 2010--November 9, yesterday, the Miss Hawaii USA 2010 and Miss Teen Hawaii 2010 was finally crowned at the Royal Hawaiian Theatre. The video clip below shows the finalists of the Miss Hawaii event in their mock interview.

The Miss Hawaii USA is also run by the Donald Trump Organization and the one who gets to be crowned Miss Hawaii 2010 and Miss Teen Hawaii 2010 will get the chance to represent Hawaii in the Miss America and Miss Teen America pageant next year.

The MIss Teen Hawaii 2010 title was bagged by Julianne Chu. As of press time, there is no information yet as to who bagged the Miss Hawaii 2010 crown.

Looking at the video above, I can't help but notice that they all look less Americans and more like Asians. Don't you agree?
