Let it go

2017-01-17T13:15:00.001+08:00

Wow! After more than four years I was able to check my blog again. To my surprise, I got a PR3! But goodbye to my 2 domains.. I wasn't able to sustain it and have to let it go.....

BC Bloggers Meme: Count Your Blessings!

2012-07-04T21:29:00.002+08:00

It's been a while since my last post here in my blogspot, not really easy maintaining 3 blogs. I really thank God for all the blessings that I am receiving every day. God moves in mysterious ways, I can really feel that He’s always there to save and guide me especially when I am driving PJ. Hmmm… maybe because I am most well behaved in the past ^-^. Trivia, every day I always claim that I am the happiest, luckiest, healthiest, prettiest (lol!), richest/wealthiest woman on earth. As much as possible I really want to be always positive, reject negative thoughts and actions. I hope everybody will do the same for a brighter future.

Here’s my share on this week’s meme

1. Complete and happy family - it’s been my desire when I was a kid, I never dream of becoming richer or somebody someday, I just want to have a happy family because I felt I was not too happy before, ouch!

2. Good Health - aside from frequent colds, our health condition is A-OK

3. Dependable Helpers - I am really fortunate to have a very reliable helpers whom I can really trust, I can leave my kids with them when I’m at work.

4. Work for me and hubby – thankful that hubby got a good job that we can afford to have a savings for the kids school expenses.

5. Food/Groceries – before, I stayed in the grocery a little longer because I have to check first the amounts per item, now I’m very thankful that we can buy the food that we want to eat. We have no vices…except eating! That’s our bonding time every weekend, we buy groceries and eat at my kids’ favorite restaurant (Yoshinoya/Savory).

Thanks to Daddy Yashiro for hosting this week’s meme. Thank you Lord for all the blessings, for giving me a wonderful husband and kids. Thank you for giving me strength to conquer all my fears and difficulties.

Obando Town Fiesta

2012-05-20T20:30:00.000+08:00

Rain or shine, the devotees of the three patron saints of Obando did not stop them from dancing on the street. The second day of the three day fiesta is for St. Claire, those who cannot bear a child joined the rainy street dancing last May 18. We were supposed to join the procession, unfortunately the scheduled 8am procession started at past 9am. As soon as the procession started heavy rains poured on the devotees, we decided not to join the procession and just took some pictures of the still graceful dancers even though its raining.

Dahil Sa Pag-Ibig

2012-03-23T22:15:00.000+08:00

Since last week I can sleep with a big smile, why? Thanks to the late time slot, I can watch the newest teleserye of Papa Piolo “Dahil sa Pag-Ibig”. It’s really a powerful cast, oh am I really envious with Christine Reyes because of her scenes with Alfred. I truly salute channel 2 for producing good quality shows just like “Walang Hanggan” which airs just before Dahil Sa Pagibig. And I really don’t mind if they claim that Papa P is gay, I still admire him and just like what Ricky Lo said on him… “you cannot put a good man down”.

Caloocan Grand Central

2012-03-18T21:38:00.001+08:00

I was surprised when I heard the news last Saturday afternoon that Caloocan Grand Central caught fire since Friday evening. I felt so sorry to the owners of the tiangges who left their goods inside the mall, I know how much pain they are going through right now. Unfortunately there will be an additional headcount for the unemployed, I regularly passed by this mall everyday because it was located within the Monumento station of the LRT. It will never be the same again without this mall, though it was not comparable to SM or Robinson's malls this was the nearest mall in Caloocan. Hours before it caught fire, I was able to buy CD, pants and a powder, I was intending to return the CD this Monday good thing it only cost me fifty bucks.

Think Positive

2012-03-10T22:07:00.002+08:00

In our journey, we have our own ups and downs. Sometimes we have more downtime but still we have to focus on positive things and oppose our negative thoughts. Yesterday my guardian angel sent me this timely wonderful message:

"The key for creating your reality is to focus only on what you want, when you catch yourself thinking or feeling otherwise then slowly remind yourself that this is the goal that you want to achieve. With regards to the time, please note that in this dimension we are currently living, we are bounded by TIME. Let the Universe take its role and trust, no need to hurry and worry. Find some quiet time for yourself and you will know in practice that all answers are within. Blessings of much Love and Light be unto you."

It is not the length of life, but the depth of life. Live as if we were to die tomorrow, so if you hate me thank you.

Walgreens Savings Club

2012-02-05T06:00:00.002+08:00

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

My mom was here for her annual vacation, she really love spending her Christmas here maybe because she feels the true meaning and spirit of Christmas here. But I know she wants to spend the rest of her life in the US because of some reasons like her most awaited pension, and her free medical benefits which she really enjoyed unlike here. She said when she ran out of her medicines she’s not worried because she has a special discount at Walgreens which cater her needed medicines. Her other siblings are fully aware that Walgreens is offering a special discount on annual membership for Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens that’s why she was hooked too. For only $35 a year, a family membership covers everyone in your immediate family, including a spouse, dependents 22 and younger and pets. They were satisfied to have joined and received discount prices on prescriptions. $20 for individuals, imagine that!

Not only that, members is entitled on great savings on more than 8,000 brand-name and all generic medications, discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizers and diabetic supplies. Speaking of additional bonuses when you purchase Walgreen brand products and photofinishing services bonuses.

Like my mom, let us support Walgreens and stay updated by liking Walgreens on Facebook and following them on Walgreens on Twitter!

Mo Did It

2011-12-02T23:04:00.000+08:00

I did not like Mo, but his severe honesty can really create major controversies. I was among those who are waiting for his pasabog before he leaves the country, finally his pasabog was already uploaded in youtube and reported in pep.ph. Parang she's the male version of KRis

"ITS 28TH OF JULY 2010, FIRST TIME IM DOING THIS. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY. UM, MAYBE ONE DAY YOU'LL WATCH THIS. JUST TO REMEMBER HOW HORRIBLE OF A DAY IT IS. YOURE IN SINGAPORE, YOU'VE BEEN CRYING ALL EVENING BECAUSE TOMORROW MORNING, YOU AND RHIAN WILL GO TO THE HOSPITAL HERE AND GET RID OUR BABY. IT DOESN'T MATTER NAMAN WHAT I THINK ABOUT IT BECAUSE THIS WAS HER CHOICE. I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG YOU'LL KEEP THIS AS A SOUVENIR, BUT THIS IS THE TEST. (WHISPER) THIS IS WRONG. THIS IS THE HARDEST THING (CRYING) THIS IS THE HARDEST THING YOU'VE GONE THROUGH BEFORE AND YOU'VE GONE THROUGH SO MUCH. AND WE HAVE TO BLAME OUR JOBS FOR THIS? THIS INDUSTRY THAT JUDGES YOU FOR THESE THINGS. THIS BUSINESS HAS MADE HER BELIEVE THAT WE HAVE TO TAKE THE LIFE OF OUR OWN CHILD BECAUSE NO ONE WILL FORGIVE HER FOR THIS. THAT THIS JOB WILL RUIN HER, SO WE AGREED THAT WE'D COME HERE AND GET IT DONE. BECAUSE YOU LOVE HER AND YOU JUST WANT HER TO BE OKAY. ITS NOT LIKE RHIAN IS HAVING AN EASY TIME WITH THIS TOO. ITS HARD ON ALL OF US. SHE SAID ONE DAY WE WILL SEE THIS AGAIN. AND MAYBE OUR JOBS WILL BE A LITTLE BIT EASIER AND MORE ACCEPTING ABOUT IT. ONE DAY YOU'LL LOOK AT THIS VIDEO, 20 YEARS FROM NOW, I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF YOU WILL STILL BE TOGETHER AND IT WILL STILL HURT. IT WILL STILL HURT LIKE HELL. (CRYING). YOU'LL BE SORRY FOR THIS YOUR WHOLE LIFE. I'LL BE SORRY FOR THIS MY WHOLE LIFE. IM SORRY FOR THE BAD CHOICE WE ARE ABOUT TO MAKE. ITS HARD FOR BOTH OF US. NOBODY WANTS TO DO THIS. I KNOW OTHER CELEBRITIES HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SUCCEED AFTER THIS PROBLEM, IF IT IS EVEN A PROBLEM, I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S A PROBLEM. BUT YOU KNOW, HER PARENTS ARE TOUGH ON HER. HER STATION, HER CHANNEL, HER MANAGER IS SO TOUGH ON HER THAT IT HAS MADE HER FEEL THAT HAVING THIS BABY, IS JUST NO OTHER OPTION. I KNOW RHIAN IS YOUNG. MAYBE ONE DAY WHEN WE'RE OLDER, WHEN SHE IS OLDER, THAT WE WONT HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS. I DON'T BLAME HER. THE PRESSURE ON HER IS SO GREAT. THAT I KNOW SHE FEELS LIKE SHE HAS NO CHOICE. SO THIS IS NOT YOUR FAULT RHIAN. ITS NOT. I KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO BE YOU IN HERE, IN THIS SITUATION. ITS JULY 28, 2010 AND IM SITTING INSIDE THE HOTEL. THE RITZ-CALRTON IS SINGAPORE AND WE'VE BEEN FIGHTING ALL NIGHT ABOUT THIS. IM DOING MY BEST TO TRY TO KEEP YOU SAFE. AND ALL THIS FIGHTING IS TAKING A TOLL ON US. I WISH WE COULD HAVE THIS CHILD. I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS. THIS JOB IS SO DIFFICULT. ITS SO DIFFICULT. IM SO SORRY. I'LL BE SORRY FOREVER. AGAIN, ONE DAY YOU'LL WATCH THIS. MAYBE WHEN YOURE AN OLD MAN. YOU'LL REMEMBER HOW DIFFICULT TODAY WAS. AND I HOPE YOU WATCH THIS AND I HOPE BY THAT TIME I'LL BE MARRIED AND I'LL HAVE A FAMILY THAT I CAN TRY TO MAKE IT UP TO. YOURE GOING TO DO SOMETHING REALLY WRONG TODAY. IM SORRY FOR THAT. THIS IS BUSINESS IS SO SO HARD. THIS BUSINESS IS SO HARD ON ITS EMPLOYEES. I GUESS ALL BUSINESSES ARE. I DON'T KNOW. ITS OUR FAULT I KNOW. WE CANT REALLY BLAME OUR JOBS BECAUSE OTHER PEOPLE DID IT. BUT UM, I UNDERSTAND

Sibling Rivalry

2011-11-08T22:49:00.001+08:00

The news about Ram Revilla’s death was very tragic, and double up because the prime suspects are his siblings. I cannot really imagine how an 18 and 22 year old youngsters can possibly do a heinous crime like this to their own brother. Sibling rivalry was told to be the root cause, I read more about this topic on Wikipedia. Sibling rivalry is a type of competition or animosity among children. Siblings generally spend more time together during childhood than they do with parents. The sibling bond is often complicated and is influenced by factors such as parental treatment, birth order, personality, and people and experiences outside the family. Sibling rivalry often continues throughout childhood and can be very frustrating and stressful to parents. Fighting with siblings as a way to get parental attention may increase in adolescence. Sibling rivalry can continue into adulthood and sibling relationships can change dramatically over the years.

What are the main causes?

Unequal amounts of their parents’ attention, discipline, and responsiveness
Stress in the parents’ and children’s lives can create more conflict and increase sibling rivalry
Children fight more in families where there is no understanding that fighting is not an acceptable way to resolve conflicts, and no alternative ways of handling such conflicts

How to Prevent it?

Refusing to compare or typecast their children
Planning fun family activities together
Making sure each child has enough time and space of their own
Give each child individual attention, encourage teamwork, refuse to hold up one child as a role model for the others
Avoid FAVORITISM

Thank You

2011-09-29T16:41:00.000+08:00

Thank you Lord that I was sick last Tuesday, I was with my kids when typhoon Pedring badly hit our town. Definitely there were many stories and photos to share but thank you that we had stocks of food, water and candles because we have no electricity in two days. I heard so many complaints from my kids because of no electricity and internet access but I told them that we are still lucky because the fLood did not reach inside our house. Last night I cooked all the cold cuts inside the ref, it was a good problem because I was worried what to do with my raw food. Until now the streets are not passable but hopefully I can report for work tommorow. We already have electricity but cable and internet connection were not yet fixed, thankful again I have an Ipad 3G...God is good all the time.

We need your help. Please sign this PETITION and send a message to the Municipal and Provincial Government not only to protect the people of Obando, the Obando River, and Manila Bay but also to uphold the rights of people to voice out their concerns without fear of persecution from their leaders. Please go directly to this link: https://www.change.org/petitions/tell-the-mayor-and-governor-to-stop-the-obando-sanitary-landfill-project. No to Obando Landfill

2011-08-16T21:54:00.002+08:00

Obando, just like the other towns of Bulacan, has two pronounced seasons: dry and wet season. The wet season is from May to October and the dry season is from November to April. The rainfall of the wet season accounts for about 80% of the annual rainfall, which is due to west monsoons and typhoons. Currently the major problem of our town is the Obando Landfill. The recently approved Obando Landfill converting 44.4 hectares of Salambao River to a garbage dump. A waste and pollution watchdog has appealed to Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Ramon Paje to intervene in the proposed construction of a waste landfill facility in Obando, Bulacan, citing the proximity of the waste facility to Manila Bay.

Once implemented, the following problems of Obando will never be resolved:

Heavy flooding during rainy seasons

River pollution caused by the Tanza, Navotas dumpsite. In 2002, under the leadership of Mayor Nesty Joaquin, the Sangguniang Bayan of Obando, Bulacan passed a controversial resolution allowing all the Phileco (Philippine Ecology Systems Corp.) barges that contains tons of Metro Manila's garbage to pass the river of Obando and dumped it in a river-turned "controlled" dumpsite facility in Tanza, Navotas which is only 1 km away from Obando. Mass actions followed but local officials failed to stop the dumping up to this date. Studies showed that the operation of the dump was polluting the river and had caused several diseases among residents, mostly old folks, women and children.

~~NO! to Obando Landfill!~~

A Year Older

2011-07-07T21:08:00.000+08:00

This was an overdue post but I still want to say THANK YOU to two of my best buddies who gave me flowers and our favorite Claudette’s cloud nine cake on my birthday. Just like in the past years I never treated my birthday as a special one, I just want to relax and excuse myself from cooking and doing household chores. It’s really an ordinary day because I was never greeted at home; I have a few FB friends who greeted me on my exact birthday because I did not broadcast the day of my birthday. Though I was somewhat emotional during my birthdays I’m still thankful to our God Almighty for giving me and my family a good health and a good life.

Typhoon Falcon

2011-06-25T16:29:00.000+08:00

After three days of continuous rains, our town was greatly affected by destructive flood caused by heavy rains and from the excess water from Ipo dam which said to have released water as early as Friday morning. Pagasa said typhoon Falcon has already left Philippine area of responsibility but terrible weather (heavy rains) still continues. Here are some of the flooded streets in Obando.

Happy Father's Day!

2011-06-19T22:25:00.002+08:00

Happy Father's Day to all the ~~(responsible)~~ fathers in the world.... here's a forwarded message I received that made me laugh this morning...

"Sa mga kapwa ko mabait, maganda, masipag, matalino at halos walang kapintasang misis, pakibati na lang sa mga swerteng lalaki na naka JACKPOT sa atin.... Happy Father's Day!! "

Madame Tussauds

2011-06-04T22:45:00.001+08:00

Visit at Madame Tussauds wax museum was really part of our Day 4 itinerary. Though the entrance was too pricey, we paid for 2 way ride at The Peak tram, sky entrance and the Madame Tussauds museum. As discussed in google, The Hong Kong branch houses nearly 100 wax figures of internationally-known personalities, with Asian figures taking up more than a third of the total, of which sixteen were Hong Kongers. The wax figures are featured in a range of themed settings such as Hong Kong Glamour, Music Icons, Historical and National Heroes, The Champions and World Premiere.

At least we visited almost all the famous tourist spots in Hong Kong. What's next, Singapore?

NBA 2011

2011-05-20T14:39:00.000+08:00

At this point in time, basketball enthusiasts around the world are eagerly waiting for the results of the eastern and western conference finals of the National Basketball Association (NBA). And it is indeed evident from its live telecast (or even in replays) that people never fail to show support and cheer for their favorite teams considering the number of fans screaming out loud in cheering for their idols.

It is obviously undeniable that regardless of home courts, these basketball supporters want to personally watch a game. In that regard, the venue must have corresponding crowd control strategies to organize the people and avoid human collisions or stampede. There must be some kind of stanchions in the form of velvet rope or other retractable belts in the ticket or cashier area to keep them align and in order. In addition, barricades must be put in place within the vicinity to avoid traffic and maintain some sort of security and privacy.

Since Oklahoma, Dallas, Chicago and Miami got into the finals, they were the ones to expect a bulk of people coming in to their venue in the next few days. As of now, Dallas leads the western conference against Oklahoma at 1-0 while 1-1 for eastern conference which consist of games between Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls.

Pacquiao Retains WBO Crown

2011-05-08T22:16:00.000+08:00

While everybody was busy waiting for Pacquiao- Mosley fight, we grabbed the chance to visit SM City North Edsa because I know the streets are clean because of the much awaited fight. But heavy rains did not stop until late in the afternoon. While we were window shopping inside the newly renovated department store, it was announced that Pacman won. Congrats Pacman and to Charice too! When we got home, my kids searched for the replay video and I saw that Charice sang the right way, and she was really good. I haven't watched the replay video yet, but I was proud for Pacman's unanimous decision victory over Mosley. Photo from Inquirer

Gold Investment, Why Not?

2011-04-28T20:28:00.000+08:00

Being a mother I always think about the future of my two kids. Providing their needs in life while they are still young is one of our main priorities as parents. This includes food, shelter, clothing and any other necessities they cannot afford yet especially their education. I’ve been thinking lately on where to invest - contemplating whether I would avail of an educational plan and insurances alike or purchase stocks from stock market to prepare for their collegiate studies.

One of my acquaintances gave me an idea on investing in either bullion or gold bullion. She told me that I would be of no loss as these investments possess an intrinsic value. Some of my friends are telling me to spend on acquiring land properties instead, it could be farm lots or even residential. I am a bit undecided till this time. Our fund is just resting in our bank account but of course I want it to earn more.

More often than not investing comes along with the possibility of not having gain on it. To buy bullion or to buy gold bullion, these things I am trying to consider. Since this is something new to me, I guess I need to learn more about it and have it discussed with my husband. Maybe I should attempt encouraging him about Gold IRA as well.

I am also concern about the liquidity of an investment. Obviously, if I am designating it for my children then it has to be utilizable in the form of cash as the need arise. It may still be too far to assume but I believe it is better this way - to set aside something which will be of their great use in the future. Besides parents always consider what’s best for their children.

Pacquiao vs Mosley Fight

2011-04-24T20:08:00.000+08:00

Once again the Number One "Pound for Pound" best boxer in the world will still the scene on May 7 with his much awaited fight with Shane Mosley at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Definitely Manny Pacquiao gave his best during his training and I know he will give a good fight, I hope Mosley too to increase more tension and excitement in the audience. Want to watch it LIVE and have no tickets yet? Go to this site to purchase and reserve your tickets. Last year my cousin bought his Jersey Boys Tickets and was able to reserved tickets in Pacquiao fight last November. Since he lives in New York, he got tickets on August Wilson Theater in New York. His youngest child will finish High School this year and requests for a Disney on Ice: Mickey and Minnie's Magical Journey, he's now saving money on his coin bank to buy three United Center tickets for the September slated show.

It's really a hassle free buying tickets online, good thing a very reliable professional ticket broker offers great prices and discounts too whether in sports, theater and concerts too. I was wondering if they also have a good deal on Daniel Tosh Tickets which are in demand for quite sometime. Tickets can be buy via telephone like the Jersey Boys Tickets and Joel Osteen Tickets, complete schedule and list of venues are available online so visit their website.
