My Music Law class had this huge argument…not really an argument but rather just a “deep” discussion on where the industry was going and all of that. To me, and this is my own personal opinion. I fucking love everything about what’s moving froward right now in music. We are seeing more cross genres from artists (i.e. rap/pop, rock/dance, etc.). We might not have expected this, but it is playing a huge factor in how music, and the industry is changing. For instance, Wiz Khalifa just did a new song with Maroon 5 which is featured as Maroon 5′s newest single. Maybe it’s just me but I think more artists are beginning to really respect other forms of music, and I’m sure they always have, but it’s beginning to take a more public form.

However this is where it can become scary, and for some this is the worst music has ever been. You’re right. Only to a certain degree. I think people need to realize we have the opportunity to make a change in how we want music to be heard. This decade is going to be a huge change, and a push for new. I keep telling people that, and they need to just fucking open their minds. So what, Maroon 5 snagged Wiz to do a single, and you can bet your fucking dollar it’ll be plastered all over the internet, radio, and blogs. But how much do we want that to be force feed into our system before we say enough. That’s where change needs to happen. The battle of “SPAM.” It drives us nuts, from the major artists down to our own “friend’s.” Here’s something you all need to do to your neighborhood artist who feels they are “good,” but you know better than that:

Side Note: Tell your friends who can’t sing, who can’t rap, who have no presence on twitter, YouTube, Facebook page sucks dick, no marketing skills, shitty Mics, their patience was too impatient, to SIT THE FUCK DOWN! It’ll save the world and this changing music industry a lot of time and grief.

Back to my point, (and I’ll wrap this up real quick), in order to change something that seems to be so stuck, we have to stop force feeding our artists to the public, and our artists need to show us some more respect as fans, and as people who spread their music. It’s that simple imagine if more artists where human (transparent), the dialogue would flow that much better.

So these “first class” passengers get to board before me looking like a mess. Come on bro let’s be real do you really need to travel looking like a bum? The answer is obvious, no you don’t. You see there should be a certain dress code for flying, first class, last class, no fucking class, let’s dress a little nicer for our traveling experiences. The leggings were a fad ladies, and the sweat shirts…well you could at least make it designer for my eyes at least. So these bums (<–haha) in front of me which really is pathetic because first class and where I am sitting is separated by a see through curtain.

They get to drink their OJ out of a glass, and I get to sit two rows back and enjoy my water from a plastic cup. If your airline has first class make it worth their while, really make it first class, spa treatments the motherfuckin works would be nice. At least make me feel like I’m poor as shit as opposed to feeling like you can distinguish me with a plastic cup.

I think we can enjoy the character of a black and white and let it spark a sense of conversation, where it hopefully leads to a moment with someone you know, or may not know. That in and of itself is a moment worth catching, a moment worth capturing. My photos aren’t meant to stimulate some philosophical teaching. Instead look at them as a moment.
