The dirty and cool, sweaty and smooth electro sound of DJ/producer Benny Benassi scored worldwide success with "Satisfaction" in 2002. In 2011 the highly anticipated Electroman Album was released on Ultra Records. The album features the hit single "Spaceship" which adds a pop tinge and is laced with sultry vocals from globally renowned singer, Kelis. Also collaborating on the single are Black Eyed Peas' member, apl.de.ap and producer Jean-Baptiste, both of whom contribute incredible rhymes and vocal styling to the track. Furthermore, the album features the huge hit "Beatuiful People," which is a collaboration with Chris Brown.
Some people call Sander a technical & musical genius. And who can deny it? He has cranked out more dance floor destroyers, sold-out gigs, number one records, and awards than most artists do in a lifetime.
At the age of 17, he was pulled into the electronic scene by his first ever track heard, Armin Van Buuren's "In and Out of Love" and that is where it all began. Shortly after he had developed a love for mixing tracks one after another hoping one day he would be able to move crowds with his sounds and creations.

About Governors Island/
For almost two centuries, Governors Island was a military base, home to the US Army and Coast Guard. It was closed in 1996 due to changing operational needs. But New York political leaders recognized the historic venue's potential, and in 2003 the federal government sold most of the Island to the people of New York for one dollar.
The 172-acre Island is about 22 city-blocks long from tip to tip. The northern 92 acres of the Island are the Governors Island Historic District, and are open to the public for picnics, tours, concerts, car-free biking, and more. The 2.2 mile Promenade and Picnic Point are also open to the public.
Getting Governors Island/
Getting to Governors Island is just a quick, 5-minute boat ride away. The event will be accessible via New York Water Taxi. The Water Taxi's will leave every hour from Pier 11. The first ferry will leave at 5:30pm and every 15 minutes thereafter. Additional pickup locations may be added. The closest subway stationsare: 1 at South Ferry, W at South Ferry, and 5 at Bowling Green. It is also a short walk from the Wall Street Area. Various city bus lines also service the Battery Park Area with stops near the ferry terminal. Taxis and car may pull directly in front of the terminal for drop offs only. There is no parking at the terminal itself, however there are ample lots in the area. See below for further details...

International Superstar DJ/Producer Benny Benassi descends on Gainesville Friday, July 1st. 2011!
Hailing from Reggio Emilia, Italy, Benny Benassi rose to worldwide fame with the 2002 release of his enormous chart-topping hit single "Satisfaction."
It was with that tune that he initiated a new genre of music dubbed as Electro, which earned him the crow...n "Godfather of Electro." The demand for Benassi as a DJ is incredible and he headlines major festivals and venues around the world, including performances at this year's Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival festivals and major North American clubs including Pacha in New York and Government in Toronto.
He started DJing when he ws still at school and has been producing with his cousin Alle Benassi for about ten years at Off Limits studios. His first as a producer was with the track "I feel so fine" by KMC feat. Dhany which went to n°1 in the Uk club charts in 2001. The following year, working under the Benny Benassi presents The Biz trademark, Benny and Alle came up with "Satisfaction" and in one fell swoop ravaged the dancefloors and dominated sales charts round the world. The album "Hypnotica" followed. In the meantime Benny and Alle produced more melodic dance music under the Benassi Bros.
The Benassis have also remixed artists such as Outkast, David Guetta, Moby, Goldfrapp, Paul Oakenfold, Faithless and Public Enemy, to name but a few. Benny has won tons of prizes and awards around the world and continues to tour the five continents with his unique style, once described as "electro, sort of house-tec, dirty and cool, sweaty and smooth". In 2008 Benny and Alle won a Grammy Award for his remix of Public Enemy's "Bring the noise". The new album "Rock n Rave" contains tracks featuring Black Box, Farenheit, Dino Lenny, Mia J, Public Enemy, Channing and Iggy Pop. His own productions are released through Energy Productions in Italy and Ultra in U.S.A. At the same time, Benny talent scouts for his own brand new label Pumkin.

Kaskade made the announcement yesterday via Facebook stating, "I feel honored to have been a part of history by performing at EDC the last 2 years. EDC is the largest, most influential and best EDM festival in the world (imo). I get asked a lot here on facebook if I will be back, sadly I will not be there this year."
The Las Vegas Motor Speedway, located on the outskirts of Las Vegas, will undergo a unique transformation as the Electric Daisy Carnival comes to town! The Comcast Arena at Everett is a $71.5 million dollar muti-purpose complex, in Everett, Washington, designed and developed by the City of Everett Public Facilities District. The arena opened in September 2003.
The venue has hosted a variety of concerts and other types of performances. A few events that have showcased at Comcast Arena at Everett include Ringling Brothers Circus, moto cross, and family shows such as Disney on Ice, Harlem Globetrotters, Sesame Street Live and a myriad of others.
The venue served as the host for 2008 Skate America, a three-day ice-skating championship featuring world class skaters. The events were both nationally and internationally televised on NBC. It was the first event of six in the 2008-2009 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition. This was Skate America's largest attendance ever recorded in its history.
