Miss G (5) has lip sticks.  They’re cocktail stirrers I found at Target a few months ago.  I made French toast for everyone, cut theirs into bits with a Funbites Cube It cutter and stuck the pieces on a stick.  In her Easy Lunchboxes container is a Mini Dipper (also by Easy Lunchboxes) with maple syrup for dipping and a few strawberries.   In the top of her lunchbox is peach soy yogurt and farm fresh purple and orange carrot pennies surrounded by blueberries.

Snack time today is a mini container of Sabra brand hummus, Laurel Hill brand peace sign pretzels (found at my local Whole Foods Market), cucumber slices and a peeled mandarin orange in her LunchBots stainless container.

My 3 year old has the moustache version of French toast on a stick.  She also has a mini dipper container of maple syrup, strawberries and above in the compartments are popcorn and sugar snap peas in her Easy Lunchboxes container.

And my lucky husband gets the last of breakfast.  His French toast is packed in his Easy Lunchboxes container with organic strawberries piled on top along with apples and blueberries.  Syrup and a side of veggies not shown.

Miss G’s dreamy unicorn is on Pepperidge Farms Dark Whole Wheat bread.  I used a cookie cutter to make it & filled it with Justin’s Almond Butter and jam.  I found the killer unicorn picks at Target.  They’re actually corn holders!  Just have to have the bento eye to find these things.  I put blueberries on the unis near the sandwich.  In the top of her Easy Lunchboxes are strawberries and raspberries.

For Friday snack, my 5 year old’s Happy Tiffin stainless bento has a half an apple sliced, mandarin orange sections and cashews.

Miss A (3) has the smaller, sugar filled version of her unicorn.  I’m not a fan of the sugared sprinkles so this is NOT normal for my lunches.  I spread a bit of agave on the top to make the sprinkles stick.  Her sandwich is also almond butter and jam on whole wheat bread.  With pineapple, strawberries and raspberries and her rainbow unicorn picks in her LunchBots stainless bento box.

Both sandwiches are whole wheat bread.  The bottom whale is the bread heel.  They’re in an ocean of blueberries with fruit leather fish.  In the top of her Easy Lunchboxes are strawberry hearts and watermelon fish.

Miss G has a Lunch Punch crown on whole wheat filled with Justin’s Maple Almond Butter and jam.  I took out the mini heart and filled the hole with blueberries in her Easy Lunchboxes container.  She also has strawberry hearts, and a watermelon crown and castle in her lunch today.

Today’s snack is packed in her LunchBots Trio container with an apple cinnamon heart muffin, snow peas, carrots, popcorn and cashews.

Soy Boy ravioli is one of those treats they love to find in their lunchbox. I mix in a little marinara or dairy free pesto and lunch is served. You can find it in the frozen section of Whole Foods or similar healthy grocers. Miss G’s lunch is packed in her PlanetBox with tomatoes and a mini ear of corn shaped cornbread muffin. Above that are dates, pistachios and a Hail Merry macaroon for a treat. In the top compartment are local blueberries and strawberries.

Snack for today is packed in a LunchBots Quad with Minneola tangelos, a flower shaped apple cinnamon muffin, sugar snap peas and macadamia nuts mixed with raisins.

Miss A’s 3 year old lunch is packed in big sister’s Goodbyn bynto. Her Soy Boy ravioli are on the bottom with the same marinara. Plums and strawberries fill the middle and in the top she has sugar snap peas underneath her cornbread muffins.

Miss G, my 5 year old, asks for the same thing almost every single day.  She LOVES sandwiches so I try to provide some variety.

These mini sandwiches are on whole wheat and dark whole wheat bread and just stamped with a bear and flower on each one.  I found these fun, poofy girly picks in the Target party section, and I figured my two would love them.  I used them to thread blueberries and raspberries.  Above in her Easy Lunchboxes container are mini carrots and strawberry hearts with flower picks.

For snack time in her Happy Tiffin, Miss G has macadamia nuts, a mandarin orange, grape tomatoes and raspberries.

Miss A had some mini squares too with Hello Kitty stamps on dark whole wheat.  She also has macadamia nuts in the Hello Kitty rabbit container.  In the silicone cups are mini carrots, strawberry  hearts and raspberries in her LunchBots stainless container.

Miss G (5 years old) has 3 waffle flower sandwiches.  Hers are peanut butter and jam inside (no peanut allergies in her class).  I used a tiny fondant cutter for spinach leaves and placed them beside the pretzel stick stems for each one.

In the top part of her Easy Lunchboxes container are watermelon flowers and local blueberries.

In her Happy Tiffin brand stainless snack container, Miss G has local, organic Minneola tangelo slices and King Family Farm peaches sliced.

Little Miss A (3 years old) has a happy waffle face lunch. The Van’s toasted mini sandwiches are Justin’s almond butter and jam. I used sugar snap peas for the eyes. Minneola tangelo slices halved make the mouth and she has watermelon flowers for the cheeks packed in her LunchBots Trio. Not shown are her blueberries for snack time.

The Imperial Walker was hand cut with a very sharp paring knife out of flatbread.  I have it walking on a couple of snow peas and in between carrot greens.  To the left is a silicone cup of blueberries with Luke Skywalker ready to defend.

One of my favorite scenes is when the Imperial Walkers show up to fight the Rebel Alliance.  They’re also called AT-ATs (All Terrain Armored Transport).  They were shooting and crushing everything in sight even though they moved slowly.  I just remember being in awe of the special effects and the creative imagination that went into making these movies at the time.

This Yoda had big plans.  I ran out of time to re-make him so you get the botched, more cartoony version.  He’s made from spinach tortillas, lychee fruit for the bottom parts of his eyes and the pupils are black olives…probably not the tastiest combination.

In the top of the Easy Lunchboxes container are garlic Jawa chips.  I made them from the same flatbread scraps.  I used the Williams-Sonoma cookie cutters set to cut and press the shapes.  I placed the shapes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brushed the shapes with water, sprinkled garlic powder and baked on low broil while watching carefully so they didn’t burn.  They only take a few minutes to crisp.

Jawa were the creepy little sand people on Tatooine who scavenged the dessert.   I paired them with some sandy hummus and stuck Yoda in there to watch over things.

She learned all about Saturn yesterday so I made two Saturn sandwiches.  In the top of her Easy Lunchboxes container are honeydew melon stars and a fruit leather crescent moon and watermelon pieces with a fruit leather shooting star on top.

One was on whole wheat and the other on dark whole wheat bread.  I used crazy purple and carrots and cut tiny Saturn shapes out of them.  I put heart shaped strawberries in a silicone cup.  I had an alien cake decoration I found at the party store, and I loved the idea so I stuck him in there too.

I attended a local Table to Farm dinner last week where they served these lovely chioggia beets which were found locally.  I’ve never been a huge fan of beets, but these were especially sweet so I decided to hunt them down.  I found them at the organic stand at the local farmer’s market.  They’re also commonly called candy cane or bullseye beets.  I decided to run with the theme and use my new dart picks to make a bulleye salad for my husband in his Easy Lunchboxes container. In the top compartments are wild rice salad with cranberries and pecans and strawberries.

The salad base is baby spinach leaves.  I also included some purple cabbage, purple and orange carrot hearts, and cucumbers to go with the beets.  Not shown is his oil-free salad dressing.

This pasta takes about 10 minutes from the time the water is boiling until it hits the lunchbox.  I use a 365 (Whole Foods) brand of marinara sauce with no oil added to mix in with the warm whole wheat penne pasta.  After the pasta is coated, I mix in edamame and halved grape tomatoes.  Today I also sprinkled pine nuts over the top.  In the top of the Easy Lunchboxes are farm fresh blueberries, kiwi slices and strawberries.

For snack time, our LunchBots Pico is packed with fruit.  From the left are pineapples, peach slices, raspberries, honeydew melon and blueberries.

Little sis has the scaled back version of the same penne pasta meal minus the tomatoes.  She simple has penne in red sauce with edamame and pine nuts, a Claussen pickle spear with kalamata (Greek) olives, and pineapple, kiwi and strawberries packed in her LunchBots Trio.

Above is Miss G’s lunch (5 years old).  I used pie pop molds to change things up for her sandwiches.  They were a bit sloppy for my first time around.  I will be sure to retry them soon and practice a bit more.  These are PB & J on whole wheat bread.  She has purple carrot and dried apricot stars in with the sandwiches today.  In the top of her Easy Lunchboxes are pineapple pieces and grape tomatoes.

She also takes a snack to school each day.  Today’s is cashews, strawberries, blueberries and a mango star cutout on the top of her Happy Tiffin bento box.

Our LunchBots Quad is today’s lunchbox with a man in the moon sandwich, mango star cutouts, dried apricots, pineapple pieces and a strawberry moon in the bottom left with strawberry hearts in the top left for Miss A’s 3 year old lunch today.
