Skate exam

2:20am Skateboarding similar concept to snowboarding as well as surfing, require the basic - plank board. Only difference is it has 4 wheels attached to 2 axels.

I'm still up and procrastinating away my 3 untouched books for my ent, opthalmology, a&e, dermatology postings exam this coming Friday. Funny how i am so good at pushing the stress away and also the very basic skill of opening and reading a book.

Well, in the midst of my crazy choice in med school study habits -

I used to skateboard rather often when i was younger, and am very thankful the following video never came true in my case. This is seriously GG.

12:50am Have you heard your peers say "like a boss" when something epic happens? Or even for example you waltz into class late without caring two hoots of everyone in the lecturer - like a boss!

well, we had a session with our specialist who scheduled the case presentation (learning via explaining about a patient - medically) at 3pm. We sat in the clinic until 4:30pm when he showed up

.... LIKE A BOSS!

The best part about it is, he is the REAL BOSS of the department!

Omgosh... hahaha. i respect that cause after the years of slavery in the government, he "has the right" to pull that stunt and can't be scolded. Neither did he say sorry :P

People problems

12:38am Why make life so confusing? Medicine is probably the most difficult course because you always have to deal with people and problems..

Sometimes I think in life we act too rash. For example today, a colleague of mine was doing a presentation and mentioned about Beau's lines.

I looked at my friend and merely showed my fingers, and asked if the lines present was that. Following that she showed me what looks like a white-out stain on her nail, and i told her it was traumatic. Without query, the lecturer attending the presentation immediately said, "if you want to have a discussion get out. you don't want to listen then go out. if you are presenting, you wouldn't want people talking away. so... go out."

If you ask me, i thought that was very uncalled-for. I did not speak throughout the entire session and paid attention to the presentations, of which i must say were just people reading off every word from the projector, and i did not get a 2nd look.

I find that in today's modern day, people are becoming less rational. They only think of their ways, not taking input from others or explaining the best solution with good evidence/ reasoning. It's disappointing and definitely irritates the heavens out of me.

If you are one to read this post, please be more concientious of others and reason with logic and sense as well as on basis. Don't burst out at people unnecessarily when they are innocent.

New Year's Eve!

1:20am I've just reached home from catching the latest movie :- New Year's Eve!

Day has been like the sea that hugs the shore. Subtle, yet sways.

As i sat in the movie with a bunch of my buddies, I reflect on my year. It's interesting how I could only recall bits and pieces of it. Did I even make a new year's resolution? Wait, I think it was to get through my major exams this year. haha.

The show really speaks about many people. Most of whom dwell in the past, some daren't take chances; some fight for the wrong things; and some who without realizing, made a huge difference in another's life.

I don't know who in the above you are, but I definitely can say : If your heart feels that tingle inside of you, beats faster when you just imagine something/one, and if it stops when you're just about to do something you never thought possible....

GO FOR IT!

Isn't life just amazing. Take a breather with deep inspiration and a slow exhale. You may just think of the next big thing this world, or your own big world has been waiting for.

The year is coming to an end, and i'm still trying to figure out what am i to do before that Cinderella midnight to 2012. If you're in the same shoes, go find it too! If you're done, share how to do it! If you're uncertain, at least make your life count in another person's!

Swapping and planning

11:12pm i can't believe i spent almost the entire evening, night - 4hours - attempting to swap groupings for my next semester.

Initially i had it all figured out as some of my closer buds planned on one group. Once i found someone to change with, they all moved to other groups.

I got bailed, ditched, left alone...
(emo music) ... {Violins fiddle in the back}

It's irritating, but well ... Such is life. (btw, the fella above in the pic needs Jesus) haha!

For some of you, the need for certain activities or etc to be planned in specific groupings are vital!

Reasons people usually give:-
----------------------------------------
1. Friends - my housemates are in that group/ my gf or bf

2. Transportation - i don't have a car/vehicle, hence i must move to that group

3. Time - to study, work or etc is inconvenient in that group

4. Just because somebody asked me

5. Some whacked out reason - my senior/mum told me it'd be better

Whatever the reason is, so long we can find willing people and it's convenient to us, we'll swap!

For myself, it's more of i am easily tired - probably cause i really do what needs to be done when in the hospital... As a result i will not have the time to study, and i'm afraid i burn out. In addition, i live half hour plus away as compared to my peers who at most take 15 minutes. It seems almost negligible, but when waking at 6am comes in, that 15 minutes is heaven.

Pray my "transaction" gets approved! Until the next post, SEXYYYY!

It's interesting how creative people can be with music. It may be used to express feelings; as a subconscious stimulant; and even to pass time or have a social gathering.

As the title of my post suggests, I got through my major examz, entered the new semester, able to proceed to my final year in med school, and ultimately one step closer to becoming a Doctor!

Time passes fast unknowingly. But always remember, no matter what struggles one goes through, God is always with you and He'll never forsake you.

Long story to write with regards to my examz and how i succeeded - to be continued in the next post :)

11:24pm It's just another day away till my final 2 exams. Monday and Tuesday will be my long and short practical exams - OSCE for those who know it.

Prepared? nope, not even close. Then again, doctors always tell me you'll never be done with studying.

All I'm doing now is as much as i can, the rest i leave it in God's hands. He was good to me during my last 2 papers, so i'm hoping for the same in the coming ones! Hallelujah!

Do say a lil' prayer for me yeah.

Can't afford to resit - 8 months, and $40,000...

I'm having my finals for this semester/ this year the coming Monday, Wednesday and the following week. If i told you about my studies, you wouldn't believe it. But let's keep it simple, I'm nowhere near the finish line for studying. haha.

2:42am Maybe you require a dictionary when reading the title of this post. But essentially it means lack of interest. In what you may ask? Basically, in studies. Examz are next week and 2 weeks later are my finals, and i just am not interested to study. I am uncertain why. I know i must study, i want to study, but i just turn away from it. I am more interested in playing games or drums or etc.

It annoys me because I always end up in a situation where I am fighting to finish studying. I hate it very much. I plan to finish so much by this and that - having alot of extra time to go through another round or so. But, as a wise person once said - Plans are meant to be broken.

Little may i ask of your favor that you just pray I do extremely well in my examz. I'm on a thin thread and I need to score in all of it to keep me in this game.

I have faith that all in all, God'll pull me through. But no harm getting more ppl telling Him to assist me is there? :P

Fat talk?! Cellulite - You have it!

While many people nowadays, men and women invest hundreds and thousands of dollars in their lifetime in skin care products and other cosmetic works, the talk about

FAT - Never disappears

(figuratively and literally!)

For many, it has become a disease -obesity. Others, it's the social stigma that kills. Being called

"fat, fats, fatty, obese, you ate your sister's dinner,

let's not call her or we'll have no food left,

if we go to the cinema with her no one else can watch the movie" and etc.

Does that sound familiar? Many may joke around about people's weight, but really it could be taken the wrong way! - Sad, Angry, Depressed, Suicidal?! are amongst the many feelings a so-called fatty may feel.

A little medical knowledge for those around:

Fat is somewhat like a balloon. Because of this nature, it is easy for fat to build up! Hence, for many people who noticed fat people put on weight, it's amazingly drastic!

A sad fact for those out there is, once fat is made, it'll never disappear. Yes, you heard it right! It won't go away. This balloon like encasing can shrink but not be rid of!

That is the reason why a person who once had lost many pounds can put it back on so easily when they stop their exercise and health eating habits.

Now about the title in itself:

Cellulite! what exactly is this hated thing usually mentioned by girls? In essence, it's increased fat deposition at certain areas such as the thighs and gluteus (butt) whereby it causes skin dimpling because of the stretching of the skin on the fat.

Cellulite as a whole is not a huge issue to me, but the idea of fat is! This is because it has been proven to become a risk factor towards many health problems. Amongst them, the commonly heard of is a Myocardial Infarction : aka Heart Attack!

But look at it long term, and do not let this get in the way of you living your life to the fullest and worry about whether you're gonna be able to wake up one day alive or dead from some preventable illness.

4:37am Have ya been called crazy before? If you haven't, you must be really sane! haha. Lame jokes aside, I had finished my orthopedic posting just a week back. Now in my final posting of my semester before the major exam for this year.

PSYCHIATRY!

Yes, dealing with the mentally unstable. I never knew that the things you see in the movie like a beautiful mind, shutter island, and etc are for real! IN MALAYSIA!

It's a very sad affair i feel. People who are meant to lead happy lives, due to certain reasons mainly I believe linked to stress and poor coping skills, end up being stigmatised for the rest of their lives.

It's going to be my 2nd week now. I'm sure there'll be more to come! Bid me luck and pray for my success in devouring 7 postings worth of knowledge over the next few weeks. Essentially 7 times 300 pages for each book.

Tired and exhausted, but .. God

3:22am For the first time in my life, i can finally say i am exhausted and have been astray from things for sometime now. I'm the type who never fears and have things in control (most of the time at least). I usually know my capabilities and am in full confidence to what needs to be done.

I'm taking this next shut-eye as the end of my worries and the many thoughts that travel my mind in a round-about that experiences the weekday 5pm jam. By the morning i arise, i will be back to my earlier self again. Cheery, smiling, shows no lack of confidence and places matters into my own hands with full grasp.

I am inspired by God that is. I haven't had a good dose of Him in a fair amount of time. Mostly because i always feel tired. The battles faced ,may seem minute to some, but little does one know about myself. Same goes to others. You can really never judge a book by its cover.

Just went on my rss feed and listened to today's "our daily bread" topic which speaks about

I used to listen to their sharing daily before i retire, and since weeks to more than a month i believe, i had ignored it completely. Essentially, this spoke to me about how even when you think you've done it all, and God has left you, little do you know that when you believe and trust Him, you can do anything!

May it be your financial status, marriage, work relations, family, sickness or even more relative to myself in the current state - studies. He can pull you through and even more make you fly sky high till you're untouchable if only you let Him.

From my own experiences, that has happened. I am in my 4thyear of med school and to get thus far, it is by His works. Let me share a little.

From my high school days, it was a miracle for me to score high distinctions and enter college just missing two more subjects from a perfect 12/12 A's. Why so? This because i did all my exams except two in the hospital due to severe vomiting and diarrhea ( i believe medically, acutie viral gastroenteritis ). I literally could not even stand up when i went for my exams. Not to mention, up till the minuted before each paper, i had still many (even till more than a quarter of the syllabus) untouched chapters for subjects such as chemistry, biology, physics, additional mathematics, bahasa malaysia, history and etc.

And he pulled me through.

My college results were nowhere near the required entree to med school at melbourne university which was one of the two universities i applied to. From trinity college foundation studies i was required to achieve a 98% raw score. At the end of it, i wasn't accepted for either uni's because there were limited seats available for those who did my course and applied for medicine.

I only gained entry into imu (international medical university) 2 weeks prior to the course starting based on an interview and being informed i got a place the following day. Praise the Lord because i applied for this university and one other of which i was months late after the applications had closed. Best part is, i got into both!

Now if i were to share more, this post would become a thesis for my post-grad. But let me end here from my long-winded writings and say through Christ, you can overcome anything; through Christ, from when i awake later, i will overcome it all! AMEN!

In life we just need that little re-lighting of our candles which had blown out by the passing wind (distractions and dissatisfactions). With God, Jesus, he can be like the people who place their hands around the candle to prevent it from being blown out.

I hope you can get up from that slum or are encouraged to seek Him first in all things just as i was. As i always tell the many who never ever believe me and think i'm some hardcore i don't know what, -

Samsung galaxy tab 8.9 & 10.1 accessories I VIDEO

Yes, it's true that in "a few days", as everyone says it (June 8th), Samsung will be releasing their long awaited galaxy tablets 10.1 (and hopefully 8.9 together) wifi versions.

These tabs have been the talk for months now and many have been awaiting their debut as

"the lightest, thinnest, and most powerful android tablet in the market!"

Over the past several days, news that emerged about the tablets are:

1. The tablet will come with honeycomb 3.1 instead of the 3.0 found on the Google i/o limited edition 10.1 galaxy tab.

2. There have been videos about the dock connector for both the galaxy tab 8.9 and 10.1 that makes it a huge threat to the asus eepad transformer.

3. There have been orders avilable for their accessories such as: hdmi connector, sd card and usb connector, charging dock, keyboard dock, and etc.

4. The galaxy tab 8.9 has emerged in the european amazon site at a hefty €606 for preorders.

But now, in addition to all these, Here's the latest video in russian i believe - showcasing the galaxy tab10.1 with all the accessories (including the above mentioned, and the hard and soft cover cases).

I am definitely hyped about this tab more so for the 8.9 and although releasing in the US over the next week, can't wait for the Malaysia release.

1.39am It's interesting that people carry on with their lives after major events, as if it never happened. This may be good or bad for some and depending on circumstances. For myself at this point, i thank God for his blessings which are mountains high and definitely am undeserving of.

That said, today, i only have this to say:

Btw, i don't mean use underhanded techniques, so don't take it literally.

It essentially means, where there's a will, there's a way; the eyes only see what the mind knows. Hence, with determination, limitless possibilities arise!

Don't you think it's such a coincidence? I mean, dude...

Out of nowhere, on the 1st of May the US army killed Osama:

the most wanted person (criminal/terrorist/wtv you wanna call it) on earth.

The best part about it is no further information was given. All we know is that it was not at Afghanistan. He most probably was drinking a cup of Joe and reading his morning newspaper plus giving out orders for McDonald's breakfast meal. "hey man, i would like one breakfast set please. the one with the egg. yeah that's right. how much is that? sorry, you either deliver it or i'll send one of my suicide bombers to your drive-thru", in an afghan voice Osama speaks.
