6. Aloha!!! There you have a graffiti featuring Lilo trying to attract Stitch with her Hawaiian Hula dance. She believes Stitch is just an ugly dog, ignoring he is actually an alien. Enjoy the adventure within your own room!

5. This was a huge job. We painted all the indoor walls in Chikipark. This mural is a part of our Top Ten due to its size along with the combination of many different characters to create a world full of imagination and plenty of fantasy.

This is an ecologic fruit shop located in Paseo de San Juan (Barcelona). In this occasion we had to decorate the ceiling and the loft.

In the picture below you can see the room before the decoration

Due to the small size of this room, we suggested the owner a light decoration to create a sensation of depth featuring surrealistic fruits fliying in the sky.

To gain depth, we painted clouds all over the ceiling and the surrounding walls. Here you have the result:

Mural decoration: baby Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Pluto with a meter hanging from its tongue.

This is another new room "Aitana style" as I usually call it. All this began when I painted one room performing Baby Mickey, Minnie and Pluto using a pink and grey color range. The idea was painting a meter lenghthening Pluto's own tongue and cover some spots on the wall by painting some footprints.

This room was the first of a long series based on the same style. People like it very much because soft colors do not overelaborate the walls keeping a calm environment.

This is the last decoration I made for Keyla, in Rubí.

Mural decoration, graffiti and labeling in Segur de Calafell

After painting last year a giant dragon for Hipercoet facade in Vilanova i la Geltrú, here we are this year to decorate another premises owned by the same company, this time in Segur de Calafell.

This project cover all the perimeter facing the challenge of a very coarse wall.

The designs were based on a typical fireworks festival demon ("un dimoni" in Catalan) to be painted in the main facade plus a combination of labeling, different details in a red color range as corporate image, the company logo, etc. always trying to keep a flair of elegance.

Tattoo machine mural

The client was interested in a Pin-Up as a decoration on the main wall, but he did not have any particular idea about what to paint on the other wall. The decision on the Pin-Up was easy to made and I painted one not to go unnoticed for the people walking near the tattoo studio. For the second wall I decided to paint a hand handling a tattoo machine with the trompe-l'oeil effect of being breaking the wall. We made this decoration using some of the paper left to create a volume sensation.

This performance was made by Emac and myself.

In this exhibition Dase and myself (Berok) we have performed two paintings to show our support on the animal defense, as we have made many times before (e.g. the mural against animal torture).

In this occasion we have been trying to communicate this message "we all are not so different" as shown in next images:

After the decoration of the first (the only one in that moment) Bar Musical Imperio, the owners got in contact with me again to paint a new design for their new bar following but also upgrading its corporate image. This decoration was performed along with the artist José Chacón.

The main floor decoration is based on Ancient Egypt and we included drawings on Cleopatra, Pharaohs, dessert landscapes, Egyptian figures... always in sepia and red ranges.

ORIENTAL GRAFFITI

The first floor decoration is based on Oriental empires. We painted a mural featuring a Geisha with a dragon and surrounded by floral details and different vectors.
This was not the first time I painted a Geisha. I have already painted one for an Art Galley.

SURREALISTIC GRAFFITI ON THE TERRACE

On the terrace we have painted a surrealistic full colour rainforest graffiti together with a Maya statue to recreate the Maya Civilization. A flowing of imagination can be found in mixtures of different colours. I had painted rainforest landscapes some other times but I had never performed them in such a surrealistic and bright-coloured style.

Dragon graffiti decoration for a young style room.

This story started two years ago in 2010 when I went to Gelida answering a phone-call from Loli. She asked me to paint her leg tatoo design on her house hall's walls

While I was working, Loli's son were watching at me attentively during the whole work. He was amazed with my job and he were joining it even more than his mother did. My job in this moment seemed to be finished... .I was wrong!!! One month later I received a new call from Loli to tell me that her son had been saving some money to pay a Dragon graffiti that would be painted in his room. As the 9th of March was his birthday, I decided to give a surprise to him.

Loli and myself were organising this secret present: I had to visit his room when the child was not at home, he couldn't be aware of our project.

The day we agreed to visit his room, Loli sent me an sms telling me that her son was at home and she needed a few minutes to send him away...I can imagine the conversation beetwen them like this:

- "Hey, pal, take this 10 euro note and go to the cinema"
- No mum, I do not fancy. I am with the Playstation
- Well, take then this money and go to get some pop corns.
- I will be later, mum.
- Go out noooowww, love!!
- OK, OK ... take it easy... I am going right now!

Of course this is only a joke but I am sure that Loli had to give him any good reason to leave his room without arousing suspicion.

Finally I coud visit his room .....it looked like this

Loli explained to me her idea about the possible design. She told me that her son loved skulls, dragons, blue and black colours... and looking at the hanging spider mixed with the rest of the "ingredients" Loli told me I had to cook this plate... Loli told me she had her faith in me.

I went to Loli's next day to give the surprise to her son. He would be at home and would be with me whilst I was painting his room. We were going to have much fun together!

The "Surprise surprise" day arrived. When I arrived, I knocked and the child opened me the door. He didn' t know what to do. All his family were there close to him... he stared at them, then he looked at me...to break the ice Loli asked her son: "Do you know him?"... he started crying and answered... "yes, mum, I know... he is the painter... he is going to paint my room!!!!, he was huging his parents... it was so touching!

After those emotional moments, I started painting (I am fairly good in painting and not that much in preparing surprises). The child were with me all the time. He was close to me everytime, in silence...reactionless until lunch time.

They have the 400ml Ironlak which is the main product with high gloss and pressure as well as a very thick finish.

They are designed for very quick coverage and have more than 90 colours. Features:

- Medium pressure

- High amount of thick pigments

- Glossy finish

- More than 90 colours

- Acrylic resin

- Fast drying

- Heat and cold proof protection

Ironlak (600ml), this is a larger version of the previous one with 600ml cans and similar features.

Ironlak "Lil Lak" Pocket, these are 100ml pocket-sized cans with high pressure.

There are many kinds of caps:

- SUPER SKINNY CAP : it is used for painting fine lines due to its paint inlet and very small hole. Great control.
The pressure gives very fine lines

- SKINNY BANANA: This is the basic one used for drawing clean lines.
- UNIVERSAL CAP: This Cap works on all Montana Colors aerosols

- NORMAL CAP: This aerosol tip is not the best

- POCKET CAP: Is the cap for pocket sprays and has the capacity to resist pressure

- SKINNY PRO: Prepared for Alien with which it can obtain lines that are almost as fine as the super skinny although this one is cleaner.

- SOFT: Fast and clean.
- NEEDLE CAP: You can spray the paint further
- FAT CAP PINK: This is for making very thick and very clean lines
- ASTRO FAT CAP: This is the thickest of them all
- 94 cap: Created for the Montana 94 and these dispersors are ideal because you can get very fine, clean lines which can also act to fill in.

PROJECT “With love from Havana”

We will paint the face of a historical building in Havana and five walls of a group of houses that are under construction. They are first ecologically sustainable buildings in Cuba and everything will be recorded for a documentary for the Cuban government.

This is a social action project which will he done with full awareness of the plight of the Cuban population in their country. Apart from the lack of means to have a sustainable life we find that they do not have access to either Internet or international art suffering the consequences of censorship which causes ignorance of world art, a fundamental pillar for human, social and economic development.

All the team are involved because they really believe in this Project. That is the reason behind the name chosen.

Given this starting point, it is also worth mentioning the film reference coming from Terence Young’s 1963 “From Russia with Love” which inspired this name.

Idea

The Project is based on making a documentary and choosing a new way of using the stylistic tools of the genre.

It will be a highly subjective documentary, the vision of the whole creative team who have put their hearts into this project. The choice of theme comes from our team’s interest in social action and graffiti. The project consists of rehabilitating degraded area through art, where the artists paint their works on buildings integrally dressing these spaces and creating their designs “en situ” with the aid of young people and local artists and using Cuban art as a reference. It is a unique opportunity to be able to show the reality of this art: the creative process which this practice implies: the reasons that move these artists to create art galleries in the street bringing art to the Cuban people.

The project was created together with the F.A.D.E.S. NGO which has a long history of working in CUBA and has put everything into this work.

There are several ideas which have moved the project. One of them is the important role that art has in social change: its role in development and in the war on poverty. This is because it strengthens people by giving them information, creativity, dignity and an identity. Similarly, the possibilities of being able to influence and take part in society and feel part of it are increased. We should therefore highlight that one of the objectives is to strengthen the increase in creativity, something essential not only for creating works of art but also because it helps to solve problems – something that is useful in our daily lives.

UNESCO sees creativity as a large component in the spiritual as well as the economic and material life of people. In order to create interest in young people and train them, UNESCO is carrying out a campaign to bring art education into schools. Children and young people are the future! That is the reason behind the importance that we give towards the participation of young people in this project: Team work for a better future.

Another subject that will be dealt with is the documentary. This is the difficulty that exists in Cuba where its “walls” isolate the population from all external knowledge clipping the wings of the inhabitants and denying them not only physical but also creative freedom. This project seeks to stir up the concerns of young people and the rest of the population.

Finally we must also mention that for us, graffiti is urban ART with multiple uses such as rehabilitating urban areas, promoting joint works (as will be seen in the documentary) and we will show that, unlike what we have led to believe for a long time, it is not about paintings that make walls look dirty – they are ways for artists to express themselves freely and show what they can do with their hands.

Monkey Graffiti Canvas

Apart from doing murals and graffiti on request I also do paintings (canvas) especially for customers who are not from Barcelona and in this way they sabe transport costs.

Here you have a monkey or chimpanzee of 1.7m x 1.2m which I did on canvas for a customer from France it was painted without a stretcher to save shipping costs to Paris. The advantage of not using a stretcher is that, apart from saving shipping costs the painting can be hung to decorate a bedroom, dining room, shop etc. and over time it can be moved from place to placed without losing the original work done by the artist. The monkey canvas is painted with aerosols but this is not the first or the only one I have done. I have done several murals of monkeys for example an exhibition which I did with Dase on a monkey graffiti.

These are two canvases with stretchers of 1m x 1 of a futurist girl painted in blue tones to give an atmosphere of fantasy.

If you are interested in ordering a painting made with spray this is the right place.
Here you have an example of a painting made with sprays for a customer from Mallorca who was interested in having a graffiti of mine in his house. Given the distance from where I live (Barcelona) we decided on the solution of sending him a painting.
I will indicate the process to follow and also what you could use if you were interested in having a personalised painting of mine in your house although it would be the same process if you wanted a wall painting on one of your walls.

INFORMATION AND PROCESS FOR ORDERING A PAINTING, GRAFFITI O MURAL

1 – The first step I follow before starting work is to give the customer an idea on price. This means, according to the size and the type of drawing you would like I can let you know how much it would cost.

2 – If the quote is accepted we would Exchange ideas with the customer on possible designs and colours unless the customer already has a very clear idea on the design. To help a little in giving some ideas here is a gallery of other paintings done by me.

3 – If you are not sure, have a good look through my drawings and when you have decided let me know what you would like me to do for you. In this particular case, the customer from Mallorca told me that the dimensions would be 1 x 1.5m and that he would like to have a fantasy drawing in very bright colours both for the hair and the face similar to this other one that I did on a wall in Mollet.

4 – You pay a deposit.

5 – I prepare a sketch or design of the painting to be done so that you can give me the goa head.

6 – Once the design has been approved I do the painting and I send you a photo of the outcome.

7 – I send you the work to your address.

The Price of a portrait done with pastels is €200 + €10 postage and packaging. In the case of an order of several portraits, pets, landscapes etc… the price would be studied according to the details and difficulty.
The measures are usually around DIB A2, that is to say 42 x 59.4 cm
How to order a drawing or pastel portrait?
The photography is the most important part in getting a good portrait or drawing and this is why I would need high quality photos well focused and close up. If what is ordered is a half or full body portrait I would also need photos of the body.
The photos and any questions should be sent to berok@berok.es and must be of a high enough resolution so that all details are clear.
Once the photos have been sent and the drawing to be done has been decided 50% of the total must be paid and at this point we will inform about the delivery date.
Once the portrait is finished we will show you a photo by email for your approval. Once approved, payment of the remaining 50 must be made plus the postage and packaging costs and we will send your work to your house.

I painted this mural in Quint Mar (Sitges) as a surprising gift from Michael (a surprising lover German) to his wife.

The preparation of this mural had some stressful moments but, the end result was a success

STRESSFUL MOMENTS

The history of this mural started one month ago, when an agency got in contact with me to tell me that Michael (a German client) was very interested in giving a surprise to his wife. She loves surfing and graffiti. I was asked if this idea would it be feasible and how much would it cost. I didn’t received any further notice for some weeks.

Five days before Michael’s wife birthday, Montse (the agent) called me to tell me that Michael had finally decided to go ahead with this Project and it would be need to be finished “right now!! She gave me some ideas about the design: the mural had to represent two blonde girls, two big waves, some sand of the beach, and all of that painted in a comic style.
I was really surprising for me… I was finishing another job but I thought it would be feasible to paint the mural two days before the celebration.

To gain some time, I decided to send the client different drafts in order to prepare a final design. The client told me he preferred “girls with big heads”.. (I assumed he was talking about some kind of caricature). I was misleaded. Montse was acting as an intermediary and this situation didn´t facilitate the mutual understanding….and, on top of that, it was only 4 days to go…!!!!

At his momente, I was really confused, the client really did not know what exactly he wanted. I had to look for a solution. Then I decided to send him 34 different pictures of comics, caricatures, designs and ideas in order to help him to decide what he wanted. I needed an answer a.s.a.p., otherwise, I could not prepare this job.

When it was two days to go, Michael was sick and it was impossible to contact him. I talked to Montse to know what was happening. She told me not to worry, the mural would be done for sure. She recommended me to go to Sitges with all the material I thought that it would be necessary (two suitcases full of srays……) but with no idea about the design I had to paint

When I arrived in Sitges, I received a phone call. It was Montse to tell me that she had just got an e-mail from Michael telling that the mural was not going to be painted.

Can you imagine how I felt in that situation? I was in Sitges with my car stuffed of sprays, my laptop, a huge stair, some backpacks with different materials

Montse said to Michael it was “a bit” late to cancel this job.. Michael finally agreed and we went to his house to “extemporize” a design.

When we arrived at Michael’s I got amazed… The wall was not painted… concrete only… What can be done then? There was no other solution than whitewashing the wall by myself.

While the client was watching all the pictures I have got for him, the suddenly decided to change from comic style into a realistic one… ok…no problem. He gave me a photograph of his wife and, when Montse had a look on it, she said: “Michael, this is not your wife!”..(I was about to die, I promise you). The client just said “sorry” and gave to me a tiny and blurred photograph in I which I hardly was able to recognize the woman’s features.
At that moment there was no way back.. I went to get some white paint for the wall and, few hours later, this was the end result:

Pirate Child photo mural to decorate a nursery.

This work is done with aerosol (spray) and the picture you can see a child on a pirate ship and caricatured infantile form, with a treasure of candy, a palm tree in the sandy soil can be seen written Aitor (his name ).

The drawing was entirely personal, and was made a preliminary pencil sketch for the client to give its approval before the mural art.
