I finally make a bow and arrows! I collect some cactus, discover a natural cobblestone generator and do some caving, but I spend to long in the cave and when I come out its dark and I get attacked.

I decide to move on since I can't build a gate to hell with one source block of lava. I find a cave with a good amount of iron, but a bigger amount of skeletons. Silly me, I dig straight down and fall into a room with more skeletons.

I am absolutely surrounded by mobs, I kill some with TNT and fall into a pit with some more. I try to dig my way out but I run into more creepers. As a last ditch effort I make a run for it...

I show off the new sunrise from my tower shelter. My goal for the day is traveling to show off the new biomes. All goes well until I decide attacking a spider for string would be a good idea.

Zombies are attacking my shelter, but soon burn up. I bump the difficulty up hard and head further North where I stumble upon a zombie dungeon. I clear out the zombies, but it turns dark, I must spend the night in the dungeon.

I have survived the first week of my journey! My nightly digging drops me into a cave with a stranded cow and a plethora of iron. I attempt to help the cow to safety, but must battle a skeleton first. When I go back for the cow he has disappeared.

I explore a deep hole and find a creeper, but when I go back he has disappeared... black magic? I explore more caverns and finally find some iron, but it gets dark before I can make my shelter and I have to scramble.

I explore numerous caves looking for iron, but only find a bunch of dead ends and dark deep holes. No iron to be seen, but no monsters either, have I stumbled into the twilight zone?

I have begun a new journey and taken on the life of the explorer. Each day I will adventure further to the North, explore caves and formations, and create a new shelter from the dark night.

The adventure North will continue until I reach my untimely demise...

Motivation: I started a video tutorial a couple of weeks ago called Berticus Minecraft Adventure, but a lot of people think there are too many "Learn to Play" Minecraft videos already, so I wanted to try something different.

Style: I will treat this series like a video journal. I won't be explaining how to do things, but instead I will explain why I am doing things and what is going through my head as I explore.

Quality: All videos will be available in 720p HD on YouTube. I use 1280x720 resolution with 30 fps and mp3 sound. Videos will be unedited with live commentary. Some chopping may occur if I run into the 15 minute YouTube limit.

Updates: I typically play during my lunch break so updates will be almost daily Monday-Friday.
