1 thought, 1 conversation, 1 idea, 1 word, 1 press-up, 1 mile... what ever it is, it all begins with 1.

New challenges can seem so very daunting, too big to achieve for many reasons, it’s going to take a long time, take many attempts, many failures, too much money, etc.

Is this really a good enough reason to simply give up on your dreams, goals and ambitions?

The saying goes ‘You can’t teach an old dog new tricks’. That’s just BS. It’s about finding tricks that the dog is Interested in... with the right reward!

Such is life. You are unlikely to want to make a change in your life if that change isn’t to do something you truly want to do, something to enjoy, something meaningful. If the reward for change is aligned with our needs, then most people will find the motivation for change.

Good morning... And welcome to another beautiful day here on planet earth... All be it a damp one here in Surrey :)

A short but very blunt post today so don't expect my usual war and peace :) and I'm on the train with very little battery life left on my iPhone... Note... If anyone that works for Apple is reading this...on behalf of the entire iPhone population... Please... For love of everything that's holy...sort the battery life out of future iPhones... The 3 wasn't too bad.. The 4 was shocking and the 5...well it doesn't even last a day... Bring back Nokia 402 batteries that used to last 3 days!

Anyway...I digress...

What does Friday mean to you? To some it's a massive sense of relief that the working week is over... A release from the mundane routine of early mornings, late nights, rushed meals, empty promises to go to the gym... And a big high leading into the weekend... Where they will consume all manner of unhealthy foods and a weeks worth of 'medicinal' alcohol in one night... Sleep in and waste half a day.. Carry out their chores... And then all of a sudden... It's Monday morning... And the 'crash' happens!!!

'Never' is such a definitive word... It's pretty much final... It closes the door on the future possibilities of something .... Well... At least it does in your mind at the time you say it!!!

Unless you've got some crystal ball looking into the future, which would make you rich... None of us can actually predict what twists and turns our lives will take...

Hi everyone...it's been such a long time since I wrote a 'Detox' post...I thought I'd make this one extra special.

The 'Detox' series is all about making changes in your life to have a positive impact...to remove things that are perhaps getting you down, making you sad, remind you of a bad time or person that hurt you. Cleansing your mind, body and soul.

So this one I'm sure will resonate with many of you that have either just ended a relationship, are in a 'toxic relationship' or perhaps still haven't gotten over a previous one.

Relationships are the foundation of our society...they form the building blocks on which stability, order and happiness are built. Without them we kind of just 'drift' along...alone...whilst you may be able to jump from partner to partner to satisfy your needs, it surely cannot fulfil your sense of belonging...your sense of purpose.

I know I've had my quirky titles, this one being no exception...so what on earth am I talking about? Well...put simply, I believe people are like the broken biscuits in the box.

Disclaimer: For those not in the UK, I apologise if this analogy doesn't translate...but essentially, these are biscuits that were broken in the factory and as such, weren't put in the packets, instead they take all the different broken varieties of biscuits they make and put them in one box and sell them as broken biscuits....how very enterprising...selling on your waste....note to self...what other products could be sold even though they are broken???? :-)This blog is also not intended as a way of saying we are all broken...far from it...so please stick with me...

Children see the world differently...they've not yet been tarnished by the fate of scepticism...they see (for the most part) a unified world...they don't care where you come from...the colour of your skin...your religion...and they sure as heck care not for political beliefs.

It's not like I have a job to keep me busy....right? Well I can't agree nor disagree with that...but I have been keeping myself busy with the caddying and the new addition to the family...meet Snoop...he's a Labrador I got at just 8 weeks old and is now 17 weeks and growing like you wouldn't believe. If you live in Australia you may well be meeting him sometime soon via one of the tunnels he's digging in my garden!!!

Regrets...I've had a few...but then again...no I haven't

Why regret not starting something a year ago? Start it now... Do it.. Try it... Enjoy the experience... Gain the knowledge.. Have the memories... Above all... Be able to say to yourself... 'I did it'... And not 'I wish I had'!!!

I've heard many a person complain that no one ever does anything for them and so they are not going to do anything for anyone else...how sad this makes me!!!

We should not spend our lives expecting nor waiting for others to do things for us, help us or make our lives easier and expecting others to do good deeds for us and show us a bit of human kind.

Yes... I stole the title from an Oasis track... Why? Because it sparked thoughts... good ones... and that's my point!

All too often we stop dreaming... stop wishing and hoping... Instead we settle for 'more of the same'... we become predictable... and stop believing that we can actually achieve so much more...we have the ability to actually achieve our dreams.

Cast your mind back to your school days...when an adult asked you what you wanted to be when you grown up...you had wild dreams about being a fireman or fighter pilot...nurse or professional footballer...nothing could stop you...you acted out your profession using anything you could find...boxes, cups, pipe cleaners, sticky back plastic...and let your imagination run wild...and there's the key thing to it all...letting your imagination run...let it be free to explore what could be...what CAN be.

Tour Life - Burhill...So Close

Well another week on the Euro Pro Tour caddying for Stuart and we return to where he tasted victory last year... Burhill Golf Club in Surrey.

Now for me this is the perfect week, I live 10 minutes from the club and have played the course more times than I care to remember... I know it like the back of my hand... So no need for me to get involved in any practice round this week... I left Stu to have a match with his buddies instead... Matty, Paul Reedy and Steve Uzzell.

The weather forecast for the week was eerrr shocking to say the least.. If the rain doesn't get to you... the 50mph gusts of wind will!!! It's a case of battening down the hatches.. makes sure you're warm and dry and you keep everything in the bag dry too... It goes without saying that not only is it my job to help keep Stu dry, but all his clubs, gloves, food etc.. as well as myself.
